Dont get me wrong I do like the effort put into the customer service.Its just there are many areas that there is no pricing or the wrong price on items.As well the store seems to be disorganized and in general dirty.It is as though they need more help. I say that because I have worked as a retail manager for 35 years So from that stand point I see everyone always busy tasking. But from a customer point of view no one has time to help me.I am sure everyone is doing there best. I was just giving my point of view.

The staff could have been more helpful. Not knowing the store it would have been great if they gave me more suggestions and showed me where the actually fabric was instead of just pointing to the isle where the suggested fabric might be.

Good prices when they have what you want

I got what I wanted at higher price.

So much fabric and craft supplies to choose from but they have always been short staffed but once you find someone to ask, they are helpful.

Staff seems to ignore customers. Staff wont offer assistance or help in any way. Even if you know what you need or want, you will be waiting in a non existent line for a long time. This is not a quick stop location.

Yesterday I went to Corte Madera store to pick up fabric with my kids. I always go to there clearance section first for fabric deals being that times are hard but I still want to find ways to keep my kids busy and creative. My daughter, who has learning disabilities, found a fabric she wanted to make her dad a blanket with. The fabric was $15.99 with a gray sticker being 80% off. Which was posted. So my daughter did the math and figured out it Should come to 3.19 or 3.20 give or take a couple pennies. We go to the cutting station and asked to have it scaned to show my daughter she did the math correct. But was told it came to 5 and some change. I showed the lady on a calculator what it should come to. She told me no the calculator was wrong. In the middle of asking her how she figured it was wrong she turned around started to walk away and yelled back at me shell be back. I assume she went to get a manager. After about 5 minutes I hear who i think is the manager say it doesnt matter leave it at 5 and some change a yard. I asked the lady so you guys dont honor ur sales prices? She told me to take it or leave it and laughed. I asked what was funny and why would she say that. She asked me if everything in my cart was from the cleance rack. I told her yes. She rolled her eyes laughed again And said she wasnt doing nothing about the prices. I asked her name (she wasnt wearing a name tag) and all she did was stare at me. I was so taken back by everything that my children and I just left. My daughter thought she did the math wrong and the lady was laughing at her. I tried to erasure it wasnt her. I have never had such horrible service anywhere in my life. I still cant wrap my mind around what happend. She made me feel like dirt.

Easy highway access. Parking easy. A little pricey relatively speaking but they will have what you need and are very helpful. Grateful for them being here in Marin

Staff always seems so busy at the Corte Madera store. Looks like the store is nicely stocked but if you can’t get any help to find anything...needless to say if I need a thimble of thread I go to Michael’s. I went to Joann’s once, wanting suggestions for choosing fabric for a duvet cover and was told to wait just a few minutes. I waited 15 minutes in plain view did not get any response so i just walked away. Bad experience not isolated.

Excellent quality and selection.

They had an excellent selection of fabrics for Halloween costumes and much more. We found exactly the colors, textures and prices of fabric for my sons costume. It was our first stop and ended up being the only stop we needed to make. I love this place!

This is our go-to place for craft supplies and sewing notions. The selection is decent given its small size. I appreciate being able to find the odd item for a school project or a great fabric for a project. And the seasonal items are fun to shop too. Definitely sign up for their emails so youll have a coupon on hand for the item youre buying thats not on sale.

Very rude employees. Especially the man, Amir. I was looking at a certain paint, trying to figure out if there’s another cap/nozzle to it and he shouted from the back “it’s grey.” That was very rude. Even the kid with me was shocked!

Really cool place if you are looking for crafting stuff. They have everything from fabric to flowers.... Definitely use there app to get there latest coupons.

I came in for materials for a project and quickly found everything I needed. A store attendant offered to help but the areas were labeled so I was able to browse without much trouble. 🎀The selection was a little slim in some areas. However, I was able to find what I wanted and leave with everything I needed for my project, no substitutes necessary.I suggest asking the store employees if you need anything they seem friendly and knowledgeable.

Our neighbors flock here for fabric...we checked it out - wowser! With The rampant Mass Making effort - Joann is the place to go for all oyour Mask Needs.Huge store with everything crafty...fun fabrics and trinkets galore.

Store could use a make-over starting with stocking shelves or utilizing them better to updating merchandise. Marin county has little to offer with fabric selections.

Joanns has a great selection of fabrics and lots of craft items. The stock is well-organized and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The prices are good and some sales offer great bargains.

Great stop for a cold rainy weekend . Need lots of art projects! One star off for piles of boxes in the aisles that i worried would fall over because my 6 year old might bump them.

Extra star for the fabric ladies who are always super nice and helpful. But one of the cashiers is always super grumpy. Also took them a day and a half to put together an order that said it would be ready in 2 hours. I ended up heading to the store and wandering the aisles to find the things myself. Not so easy when the store is packed to the rafters with stuff and you have small children in tow. I get that they are slammed this time of year - but they should put a note on their pick up in store option to say it may be much longer than 2 hours.

The fabric cutting older lady was a slice of heaven. She was super helpful and had wonderful manners. The down side to my visit was, long lines with one cashier . 8+ ppl line on a weekend! Store was clean and wiped down. Also fully stocked! :) which is always a plus

Great selection of fabrics and threads. Staff was helpful and professional, however it would seem theyre a bit understaffed. Because of that, service may be a bit slow. Budget a but more time in your day for Joanns if theyre on your to-do list.

A small and cluttered example of the chain, with slow service. Came in with 60% off coupon, but anything worth having was already slightly marked down and therefore ineligible. This happens a lot with Joann, so Im done trying. Michaels is a much better alternative with coupons and sales.

Although this Joann Fabric store is very outdated in appearance and layout, it is an ideal fabric store for finding good, quality fabric and sewing accessories. The fabric prices are unusually high, but if youre on the JAF mailing list, youll receive numerous flyers packed with deals and coupons that make a visit here economical and worthwhile. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful and VERY friendly. I especially love the JAF sales on their non-fabric items and on each visit have picked up the perfect home accessory and/or gift. Dont drive by this JAF store because of its outdated appearance ~ its worth the stop!

This place is really crowded and claustrophobic, and Im sure the whole experience of the place would be better if they had a larger location.They have nice prices for the most part. Im not the biggest fan of their fabric selection, but maybe Im just picky?The people here are friendly and helpful, which is always a big plus.

Joann wasnt there which was dissapointing, but such is the life of a celebrity. Im sure she was off knitting more fabrics on the coast of Jamaica or maybe Cabo San Lucas. Who knows.The store? Ah yes they have fabrics and a lot of them to boot. We went for burlap and by god they had a few varieties. They also have other arts and craft things. Great variety of fabrics and different products...some hooks empty, only one person at the cutting table and one at the register for a very busy Saturday night, good thing they where courteous and helpful with customers, hope they keep up the good work and get more help cause they really need it!

Anything and everything for arts and crafts. We went when they had a sale which was quite nice. This place inspires you to do crafts.

I drove over 40 miles (roughly an hour drive) to this Joanns after calling to confirm that they had an item I needed. I didnt do the BOPUS because I knew it wouldnt be done in time and the system said they had 4 in stock (usually theyll carry 2 or less.) Needless to say, I walked into a barren, stripped aisle and a cart of empty boxes in the middle of it. I asked the cashier where I might find the item since the aisle was obviously lacking, well, anything and he said, You have better luck buying online. If I knew theyd be so lazy as to tell me on the phone they were in stock, but not bother actually stocking the floor, I wouldve just driven to the Pittsburg store or the Concord store. Will not be coming back. Ever. Waste of time and gas.

Maybe this was an off night for the staff 6 nights ago, as it was yet another disappointing visit. We wanted assistance looking for a particular fabric, (we had photos & details of) so we searched around the store for a staff member. We walked in, no other customers in-store and no staff at either counter(s): the register up front, and the cutting counter. We found 1 employee near the back wall - I frightened her upon approach. Her response, What do you want? Visibly shes upset I interrupted, and in hindsight I wonder why my response was an apology for bothering her. She yelled for another staff member, who was in a different corner, also along a back wall. She yelled back, WHAT?! Two very frustrated employees, and it was incredibly awkward asking for their help at this point. She literally pointed in a direction & when I suggested I looked there already, she replied, THERE!! NOT over there! I apologized again (ugghh!) for obviously bothering them both, so my family & I discussed walking out, as we had no help. Another customer walked in - overhearing our frustration, she looked around, yelling up front echoing hellooooo hellooooo anyone here? And she followed us out the door immediately, all of us bothered by the fact that WE had NO customer service. I hope management reads this to discuss protocol, or maybe place a ringer at the door when someone walks in to grab staff attention. Its obvious staff is unhappy, perhaps ignored by management; that was sad because it was NOT the 1st X our family dealt with attitude at this location. We decided to no longer give our business, as it seems to have worsened this past year, hence my commentary today. Better management would probably help staffs morale, but who knows whats going on. Just get it together, OK?

JoAnn Fabrics has a good selection of fabrics. Nothing super special, but I always find something I like.

Joanne are a good craft store.

The cashiers at the front of the store were rude, but their supplies of yarn, etc were very adequate. Up to you, the customer, to decide if the quantity of merchandise is worth the bad quality of cashiers.

Lots of choices and variety of fabric and crafting materials make this a fun place to shop. At busy times prepare to wait to have your fabric cut and priced.

Card was declined due to spending limit from certain bank. Manager did not know how to reverse the transaction and when I apologized for the trouble (4 times) she ignored my words and kept a stone face. This experience makes me hesitant to return, but the store itself is very big, clean, and well stocked.

This is a smaller space than many, but seems tidy and organized, efficient and helpful.
