I sometimes get my weekend coffee from here. One morning (on my way to work) on the week day, I ordered the coffee and the waiting time was 20 minutes, I could not cancel the order because the “time bar” just appeared after the cancelation option expired, i walked in and asked if they cancel this order but there was a very nice lady with a short hair(sounds like a manager) who made my coffee before its time! She made my day and make me come back here again.

Love the coffee variety (light roasts, yay!) and the care put into it. Plus it forces you to slow down and take your time ...

Nice Philz in Mill Valley. Stopped by to grab some coffee beans. People in the store are super helpful and its a big enough shop that you can have coffee indoor and not feeling being too close to people during covid times.

You have to like Philz coffee, but this place is great. Staff is always nice and attentive and the coffee is always good. Stop by if you can!

I entered Weds afternoon. There must have been 5 employees standing at various spots on the counter. But the Order Here spot was strangely vacant. After I received no offer of help from anyone, I left to take my business to a more customer-friendly place.

Service and food was excellent!! Outside tables was terrible, needs to be cleaned and organized.

Its the most pleasant and clean of all in my experience about Philz coffee.

I love Philz coffee, but some stores are definitely better than others. The Corte Madera location is Top Notch with preparation and delivery of the best tasting drinks!

Great service delicious selection of light to dark blends I typically get the darker blends my favorite one being the aromatic Arabic.

Philz is pretty good coffee. My biggest gripe about Philz is buying just a cup at the store is way too expensive. Interestingly enough, their price for whole bean coffee by the pound is quite reasonable. Bought a pound of the Philtered Soul to make at home with a French press, the results have been excellent. I recommend buying Philz beans to make coffee at home and save a whole lot of money in the process☕😋🤑Update: went to this Philz just the other day ordered a Tesora. Tasted really awful, asked for a different flavor, the barrista suggested Silken Splendor, that was really bad too. Either that barrista has no idea what shes doing or the quality control at this location is not very good. Considering the sky high prices they charge they should be making fantastic coffee every time

Philz Coffee is a place for grown-up tastes to explore. Theyre not serving 2500 calorie milkshakes disguised as Frappuccino. Take the time to get to know their menu, and take some of their beans home. My favorite is the Tantalizing Turkish no sugar, extra creamy. And the cinnamon roll reminds me of the Kosher baker I used to frequent on trips to St. Louis as a youngster. ❤

Very different levels of sweetness here compared to Philz in SF or any other Philz for that matter.Ive ordered a mint mojito Philz way and it basically tasted like cream and coffee with a hint of mint. Told them to make it extra extra sweet and its still barely sweet at all. Must be the clientele in Marin.Wish there was an option to make it that nuclear sweet goodness you can get in SF.

The Bay Areas most flavorful cup of coffee. The service may take a few minutes but the quality of taste is worth the wait. Baristas are engaged and thoughtful. This location has quite a bit of space inside and out though folks tend to linger longer than their drinks (like any cafe with outlets and free WiFi).

First time I tried this coffee in San Francisco. And its amazing to look how the grind the grains for your coffee so freshAnd delicious 🥰

All these people haven’t mentioned that a large coffee is going to cost you $5.25 here! $5.25 for a cup of brewed coffee. Come on.AHAH the manager is totally tone deaf, toonothing wrong with extorting people in an increasingly gentrified and unaffordable place, and in case you were wondering all coffee is brewed coffee when it’s mixed with hot water. That’s the definition and how you prepare it doesn’t justify these outrageous prices.2.make (tea or coffee) by mixing it with hot water.

Great coffee! A must stop when in the area. Philz has smooth coffee that is full of flavor. Jacobs Wonderbar, Julies Ultimate and Ether are some of our favorites. Recommend half decaf if sensitive to caffeine. The employees are always nice. Definitely recommend this place.

Great Philz location. Its in a convenient spot at the edge of the Town Center, and the interior is spacious enough that it usually isnt too hard to find a seat (except during the busiest rushes). Staff are great and very friendly. Coffee is standard Philz quality.

Thumbs up for always friendly staff and great coffee. Love the avocado toast with sliced boiled egg. Thumbs down for their mobile app not doing food items, just drinks, and because you have to wait in two lines, one for ordering coffee and one to pay and order food.

First time in Philz so I didnt know the system but they explained and were patient and recommended a coffee for me. It was delicious!

Excellent coffee but most importantly exquisite customer service !!!! I’ve never had a better experience in a coffee shop. Thank you to the barista that took the time to explain the flavour and when I seemed unsatisfied with the taste he quickly remade it to my liking. Thank you again !!!! What can I say?This recently opened Philz coffee boasts the usual and delightfully simplistic variety of Philz pour over coffee. (Dont come here expecting an espresso drink!)That said, this location in particular is run by a genuine group of hard working individuals that truly care about your caffeine intake. Occasionally, the service may run a little slow but thats really a function of just how popular this place has become.10/10 would recommend to friends/family who enjoy a chill atmosphere and a solid cup of coffee.

My favorite is the large Turkish with extra cardamom. Avocado toast is delicious. Only wish it came with two pieces.

Brand new, and officially opens tomorrow 10/6/17. Nice comfortable cushioned chairs, sofas, and large meeting/group tables. Very colorful furnishings. Appears to be well wired with electric outlets for charging devices. Plenty of coffee pour over choices the coffee snobs and newbies, and a limited menu of pastry, soups and sandwiches.

The wait is too long for the craft coffee. The coffee is good if you dont mind a long wait.

I love the coffee here, its delicious and keeps you awake all day.

Coffee barista had attitude about me not being in line and waiting for her at the counter in front of her..and no one was in the line... Then when someone got in that line she proceeded to help that person vs me... Already off to a bad start. The nice gentleman that took my money was pleasant and very friendly. Coffee was ok, felt like her distain came through in my coffee and I had 400 miles to drive so Im sorry I dont know the whole line procedure at Philz, its not my fault I dont go to this chain often and dont have any near me in So Cal, so wasnt familiar with their structure. Shame because when I do come into the bay area, I enjoy their coffee.

I like that they have their own coffee and start your coffee selection from there. The biggest problem is that they dont have a lot of seating. Then all of the computer people occupy all of these spaces making it difficult to sit down and have coffee with someone. I told the Barista and she very nicely shrugged her shoulders. I would not chose this location to meet someone, coffee to go, maybe.

Seriously, it shouldnt take 10 minutes for me to put in an order for my coffee, let alone the additional 15 I waited for in front of the register before leaving while I watched two staff mill around aimlessly.

Theres a lot of options for coffee, it can be hard to choose. I always get the mint mojito, its really strong but has great flavor. You first order from the barista and then walk to the counter to tell them what you had ordered and pay, and then you go back to the barista to pick up your drink. I think there could be a more efficient way but I guess this is so you can give your barista a customized order.

Corte Madera location is spacious, friendly easily accessible, and everything youd expect in a Philz: friendly baristas, great coffee, e.t.c. Love the bench to wait after ordering - much like the original Mission store.

Great atmosphere to hang out or get some work done. Each drink is specially crafted for you, one cup at a time. Downside is that this takes time and you may be waiting in line for a while to get your cup of coffee. The barista was super friendly but possibly due to a shift change, my order got lost and I had to follow up with another barista to have my order made. Not thrilled about waiting 20 minutes for a $5 small iced coffee, but Ill probably still be back again... The coffee is that good.The iced mint mojito iced coffee, sweet & creamy, is enough of a reason to keep us coming back. Other menu items look good too. Will probably ask for half ice next time, as its half of the drink already.

Came here for the first time todayDidnt even know it was here in Corte Madera until a friend told me this was her favorite place to get coffee out this way.Staff here are friendly, the place is clean and there is plenty of seating for those who need to use their laptops (theres one table with dedicated outlets for your laptop) light breakfast/lunchy type fare.Have the iced mocha tesaro, its delish!

I went to phil during lunch, surprisingly there was no lines. My cup was good as usual.

I have now been here twice for their practice days and the coffee is excellent! I had a chai latte that was a little grainy because of the freshly made chai but I loved every bit of it. Today I had the Philtered Soul and it is so smooth and flavorful. Come check them out!

I stood in line for 5 mins with no one acknowledging I was even there .I ask a random person is this where I order and he confirmed I was standing in right spot. It took 2 more people to go behind me before a single word was said. One thing I hate more then anything else is standing like an idiot in a line and being ignored. This is the single worst set up for taking orders and making drinks ive ever seen. save yourself the fruatration and just go to Petes coffee right across the street.

Not the same Philz that is in SF. Ive visited this location 3 times, each has been disappointing. Slow service that verges on incompetent. At cash register, two employees working on issue with grinder wouldnt make eye contact with people in growing line less than 10 feet away - no apologies, just ignored the line. I give up on Philz in Marin for now.
