We had a great rental experience at Kokopelli! The process was quick and the bikes were in great condition. The staff also took the time to recommend trails to us, and we ended up really enjoying our ride at Phils World. Great shop!

While on vacation, we drove from Durango to ride Phil’s World. Got my bike off the car to find that my rear derailleur was missing a jockey wheel. Found this bike shop who got my bike fixed in no time and was back out on the trail. Thanks for the awesome service

This place is such a huge asset to the community! Kokopelli always provides super friendly and extremely knowledgeable customer service. Service times are usually faster than expected. I love stopping by, even if it’s just for a quick cup of the best coffee in Cortez!

Ive been going to Kokopelli since I was a freshman in highschool in 2009 and they are the best. Its an hour and twenty minute drive for me but completely worth it. Great staff, great mechanics, always busy but always willing to work with you to try to get you taken care of.

I brought a bike in for repair and was pleasantly surprised by how affordable the repair was and by how QUICKLY it was accomplished! It wasnt even a high-end bike nor one I had purchased there. I expected to have to leave the bike but no! They fixed it in 15-20 minutes while I waited.

Kokopellis is Cortezs finest bike store (yes I know its the only bike store). But seriously they always take good care of me for my bicycle maintenance.

Walking into Kokopellis was like entering a new world where you can often see vintage bikes and people riding and testing bikes in-store. The casual atmosphere is inviting and actually the best coffee bar in town lets you chill and take your time while you decide on biking, skateboarding, snowboarding and cross country ski gear.

The team at this bike shop are always willing to take a minute to explain things that are ultimately very useful as I try to maintain my bike and enjoy riding.

This is a great bike shop! I try to stop in every time I pass through Cortez. The staff is courteous and helpful and the store stocks a great many items. They are also knowledgeable about local trails, so if you are unsure which ride is best suited for when you are in town, just pop in and ask!

These guys stayed open late for us on a Saturday and when they didn’t have the part we needed in stock, they took it off a bike on the floor to make sure we had what we needed to get back on the trail. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I’ve ever had!!!

Great shop. Lots of very cool gear and bikes. Mostly mountain bikes from mid to high end, but lots more. Espresso bar and coffee are a very nice touch to make your visit pleasant. Very knowledgeable about the gear they sell, the trends, changes, and the people who ride. Fun!

The pros at Kokopelli Bike & Board in Cortez offered useful insights to maximize my riding experience at the local fast & flowy Phils World trail system. I hadnt previously ridden Phils World; Kokopelli shared great info on the history and current expansion of these fun, fast trails before I got rolling.I highly recommend Kokopelli Bike & Board.

Highly recommend if you are a beginner would like to try mountain biking in the area. We rented fat tires bikes. They got us sized and helped us with the bike rack. Gave us a description of trails in the area to try.

I flew from Atlanta to SW Colorado in May 2017, visiting a friend for mountain biking at Phils World and the White Rim Trail. Kokopelli had a huge selection and was a fun store to simply browse. More importantly, a guy there named Pete (who I believe was one of the owners) was outstanding and went the extra mile to make sure my rental bike equipment needs were met. Thanks in large part to Petes and companys fantastic support, I had a an excellent experience on the trails in CO and UT. Free-Flite has always taken great care of me in Atlanta, but I will encourage any friends heading out to the Four Corners region needing SW-Colorado-based service & cycling equipment to look to Kokopelli in Cortez.

This is mainly a bike and boarding shop, but also had the best internet and coffee in town. Also a great place to buy gels and snacks for running.
