Great experience shopping at Pegasus Games, as someone relatively new to modern board games. The owner, Mark, is friendly and clearly has a passion not just for games, but for supporting a vibrant and healthy gaming community in our town. Today I visited at the new location on 3rd street. Shop is clean, well-lit, larger than the old location but still feels cozy and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Friend and I went to pick up some cards today.They had what I needed.They have a massive selection of singles and product for MTG so that was awesome.Lots of board games too.Customer service was good.

Great selection of board games which was my reason for stopping in. I also had some great conversations with the owner and he was on top of back ordered games as well. I definitely will be back to continue buying my board games locally!

Horrendously bad customer service, Ive been snapped at for paging through a book on the shelf and generally belittled for asking questions about games in the store. When I called asking about buying bulk magic cards was told I wouldnt be helped and when I mentioned that it was ok and I would order them online was yelled off the phone because I wasnt respecting the magic community and hung up on. Absolutely childish owner, no one should go to this store. Would be zero stars if I could

I just called a bit ago to see if they had a game in stock. They were closing soon and I wasn’t sure I could get there in time, so they delivered the game to our house. What awesome service - it is so awesome to get to play the game right away!

Mark is cool. I like going in to check out what hes got in stock, usually has a lot of things that are hard to find or sold out online.

Great locally owned Gamestore. Slighty unorginized, especially the MTG collection, but nothing absurd. Smaller collection of Games Workshop items and Citadel paint, but very competitive prices. However, their boardgames collection is amazing and very expansive!

Owner was super nice, and knowledgeable about many games. Had a great conversation about games and got recommendations for more games. Overall I cant wait to go back, pricing is also super fair and not priced up like other places! Note - bring Cash or have a Venmo

Boyfriend took me here to introduce me to Magic and other games. Owner is very knowledgeable and accommodating - we were there for a tournament and he set up a movie for someone who brought their daughter. Support small businesses and shop local, especially when there are great places like this!

Always helpful and willing to help. Gives ideas for good games and what youll need to get started. I never feel rushed when Im looking and stop in there every couple of months. Even if I dont make a purchase hes always nice and welcoming.

The owner Marc is easygoing and helpful. He enjoys playing many of the games he sells and will sit down and play them with his customers. Last night I called him up before he closed to tell him I was on my way and he stayed open late to give me time to get there! A great local business and definitely worth checking out!

When I got into MTG about 2.5 years ago, this was the first shop I had gone to with some friends who just started as well. The owner at first seems knowledgeable on product and very helpful, but this is far from the truth. The owner had taken advantage of the fact my friends and I were new to MTG, as we had opened some packs in the store, the owner had seen one of my pulls (foil Avacyn from shadows). He then offered up a couple cards for it that were foil / promo, which I had taken the trade as it seemed I was coming out good! Come to find out from a more experienced MTG player at the time ( later date ) that the card at the time was around $30 and he traded me roughly $5 worth of cards. That was just the first experience I had at this place. The owner does not keep his MTG collection well stored or sorted. I had come in with a list of cards, which he looked at, made a rude comment about what I was planning on building, ( something to the affect This doesnt look good, you wont have fun playing this ) and then took more than 1 hour to find a few of the cards ( he didnt have all of them, maybe about 1/3 of the list ). I can attest to a previous review that the owner does play in the tournaments hosted there, and gets very upset when not winning. My friends and I had gone to one and only event there because of the experience, ( this being the last time I visited this shop because of this ) it was supposed to be for standard draft, then we got there and the owner changed to chaos draft. Changing from standard to chaos isnt too big a deal, but during the draft the owner had his friends there drafting too ( maybe 7 people total drafting, 4 of which were me and my 3 friends ) and there was a lot of table talk between the owner and friends during the draft about what they were picking and what to leave for each other. As well during games the owner / friends were very rude about minor questions we had on mechanics or triggers ( still being very new at the time ). We ended up leaving early and never going back. The owner of this store treats it as his own man cave / hobby shop, rather than a business. Unless you are close friends with the owner, there are better places to be.EDIT: Unfortunately I cannot post what is needed as a response to what the owner has replied with due to not enough characters, what I can say is the owner either A) Has mistaken me for someone else, or the more likely option B) The owner is a pathological liar. Let this show you what kind of man runs Pegasus Games.

I love board games, and I love stores that have those unique games that I love to play. Pegasus Games is one of those stores. Mark the owner is very knowledgeable and packs a wide variety of games into his Corvallis store. Generally, he has played most of the games that he carries, and only carries games that he would enjoy playing himself. If he doesnt have it, he can order it and usually get it within a week. I will continue to be a customer here.

The owner/operator is a stand-up guy. He is always hanging out with regular customers or working on his own models. He is always happy to share his modeling and painting techniques with me. He maintains a display case with models from his own collection and local painters, and loves to show people their work.When I was starting 40k he patiently answered my questions, and he gets orders in from GW super fast.I highly recommend Pegasus Games to anyone looking for: Games Workshop Citadel, Fantasy, or 40k lines; Board Games, Reaper Bones Miniatures, or Magic the Gathering.

I have to say I grew up here. Marc was nice enough to take all the kids to pre-release events up in Portland. My parents trusted him with my life as I would trust him with my kids. I now have the pleasure to say that he is one of the greatest friends I have ever met. He is an excellent role model kind, caring, and honest. I would not take my business to any other store. I have always known him to get whatever product available to him in a timely fashion. You would be doing yourself a favor just to get to know him. He most definitely deserves your business.

Marc (owner) is always willing to help me out with advice for my magic decks and to play as well.He also allows costumers to play with in-store copies of the games before they buy them and usually plays along with them as he explains the rules.It is a very friendly local store with a nice environment.

Owner is extremely knowledgeable about the games he sell. You can come in and try any of his demo games before buying them. He even offers to help teach you the rules if that would be helpful. Highly recommended.

The bad reviews give a clearer picture of what its really like there. His friends just all joined together to leave positive reviews because he complains about his negative reviews. One of his friends Patrick whos been going there for years has left multiple positive reviews. The last one being a month ago. Rude=true. Rips people off=true. Foul language around kids=true. Just went in the other day and he is no different than he was many years ago. He didnt even remember me, supposedly, but couldnt be bothered to give quality customer service.

I was in from out of state visiting family and was excited to see a gaming shop. The inventory of Magic: The Gathering and Warhammer 40k was great, but I was there specifically to check out board games. The owner Marc keeps a great stock of games from all over the world, and even has some that are out of print. He was very knowledgeable about the games he sold, and was even happy to pull out store copies of games to play with me. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

I regret not writing this earlier, because now I cannot remember the owners name. Regardless, the owner is fantastic. While I was browsing DnD material, I casually mentioned having an interest in getting into MtG. Most of my friends had played in HS, but I never had the time or money to invest. He offered to sit down with me, teach me the basics of gameplay, and play a quick game or two with me. Afterwards he gave me one of the welcome-decks from WotC. A store-owners willingness to help and teach a newcomer to a game hes (likely) been playing for years goes a long way in todays FLGS world. I have fallen in love with MtG since then, and will likely be returning for any major MtG events to simply support the store-owner that offered to teach me, and helped my love for MtG flourish.

Happen to know for a fact a lot of the positive reviews are from his friends to help a previously lower rating. Sometimes he is just fine and acts like a normal store owner. Other times another side comes out and he gets rude and he definitely uses foul language when he is in a bad mood. His friends enter the store drunk quite often (also using foul language) during the tournaments and he plays favoritism with the people in the tournament. He plays in every tournament and gets upset when he loses. I think if you want a board game or something its a great place to go. Not such a great place to regular unless you happen to befriend him. Also worth mentioning for parents that some of the customers bring alcohol into the tournaments. If I had kids, I would personally go to the one other magic store in town, much better atmosphere and actually has tons of kids playing there. I rarely see children at Pegasus and not surprised why.

Called to see if they carried the prepainted D&D minifigure boxes. The owner got upset and snapped in a rude tone that they dont even make that anymore and I was sh*t out of luck. They definitely do still make this product as I purchased 16 boxes at a rival shop in town the same day. A simple no we dont carry that product would have been fine, the smug alpha nerd tone has really turned me off of this place.

Wow, I love this store and wouldnt think of going anywhere else for my games and hobbies. Marc, the owner, runs fun Friday night drafts for magic and a tournament once a month for warhammer 40k. He is a friendly guy with a working knowledge of every game you might want to inquire about, and if he doesnt have it in the store already, he WILL get it in for you. I cannot recommend this store highly enough!

Cool store, friendly owner. I decided to get back into d&d after a 20 year hiatus. I felt amazon had enough of my money, so I stopped by here. I was a little worried from bad experiences I had with shops like these as a kid, but my fears were unfounded. Right from the start the owner was helpful, the prices were fair, and later everything he ordered I got in a couple of days, after he texted me to let me know my order was in. Ive been back a few times now (5th edition is great, the books are fantastic) Mark seems like a nice guy, he clearly knows and cares about what hes selling. I will be a returning customer.

So i m mass nerd magic d&d old school larp vtm plus so this store along with their figure and board game options made me jitty, however i m always with kids in surplus ages varies so i was at least 4kids deep and all i m sharing love of the games with so they r stoked to see where these amazing games r purchased and this space was so holy omg not kids friendly and though my herd was the best with museum hands and eyes only it was for me such a let down the shops restrictions for them to explore and hands on learn the passion of these lost for their generation games.

This place is awesome! I spent ten years playing magic with marc but moved away. I first met marc by simply playing fnm every week and our relationship grew into a lifelong friendship. I recently was able to come back to town and play magic again with marc. It made me remember how much fun this place is. The diversity of fun and conversation and life in general is unmatched by any other local game store and believe me i have been to many. Sadly my new lgs does not provide the same atmosphere and it makes me miss all the great times ive had at pgames with marc and his customers! You guys rock! Hey, GOOD LUCK!

At first it feels like you are walking into a gamers living room- there are people there engaged in all things games. Video games, models, magic matches and board games for sale. Supporting Pegasus Games feels good because you want to keep a unique store in business. By your third trip the owner makes it feel like its your living room. Tournies are great here: he keeps peace in a friendly, funny and steadfast way. Hell tell you how he really feels and defend you when youre right.

Best game store Ive ever been to. The owner is full of helpful advice. There are board games, card games, D&D miniatures, Warhammer 40k miniatures, D&D rulebooks and supplemental material, Warhammer codexs, Magic The Gathering, and much much more. There are Warhammer tournaments the last Saturday of every month, Magic the Gathering drafts every Friday night, lots of tables to play games at including a warhammer table. Be sure to talk to the owner, he has so much experience hell be able to recommend games that are right for you.

Being a Warhamer 40,000 player can be hard if there isnt a good shop in town to support the hobby, and Pegasus Games definitely fills this need. Marc is very friendly and has a passion for gaming. He runs monthly Warhammer 40,000 tournaments, has a good selection of models, and whatever he doesnt have on hand, he is more than willing to order for you. On top of all this, he also heavily supports Magic, and Im even thinking about going in for one of the weekly Friday Night Magic tournaments in the future!

My nephew told me of an experience he and his friends had at this place. they were wanting to trade some cards. while the guy in question was helping another person my nephew started looking at some cards that were out for sale or trade. the owner started using foul language and cussed him out he is only 14. i went in a few days latter the guy was there was looking around and he started using foul language while there were several children ages from 10 to 15. this appears to happen daily this is not a very good place for children of any age in my opinion!!!

Owner was not friendly. Dont sit in the random desk chair in the middle of the room. He barked at me Dont sit in my chair in a stern and serious voice. (at the time he was sitting in another chair) I understand if this was a chair back behind his desk or something but it was out in the open. Jerk.

I came during movie time, the guy had me look up the prices, didnt like my choice in the site, then made me look up the prices on another site that doubled and quadrupled the prices, and trusted me to quote the right price. There was no customer service out all
