I went in looking for a specific stone and although he had sold out of most of them he had a few raw pieces in the back - he even offered to polish it up for me that day. Love this place. A huge variety of rocks and crystals, all of which are fairly priced. The owner, Hans, is super knowledgeable and friendly. I would advice anyone even slightly interested in rocks to check them out.

They have a lot of really nice supply, beautiful fire agates. I found some really beautiful rainbow onyx outside.

Lessons from this place are amazingly in depth and are a positive learning experience. Specimens are reasonably-priced and come in an amazing variety, from rough to breathtakingly polished. Staff are informed and a lot of fun to interact with. Cannot recommend enough!

Great place and very knowledgeable. Ive bought a few things here and never disappointed. Love my fluorite neckalace and green tourmaline ring.

My complaint is that it the store states they are open on Sundays. I went there during the time it said they are open and they stated on their door with a sign that they were closed for lunch until 1pm. So I ended up driving around until 1:10pm. When I got back the same sign was there but they were not open. So I called, and though they were inside they said they were closed that day. It would have been nice if that sign stated that and the website. I wasted time for nothing. I suggest if you are visiting and would like to go to this store to call beforehand to make sure they are open. What a bummer.

A fine shop with good selection and prices, but neither employee was wearing a mask when we entered and didn’t mask up at all during our visit. We came with the intention of purchasing but were immediately disinclined to spend money by the lack of safety measures and respect for customers. Left without purchasing anything.

Love Hans and his beautiful shop! Crystal does amazing jewelry! And custom pieces! Hans is the king of sunstones, and is a super nice guy. He definitely knows what hes doing, and has helped me so much! I had Crystal set my Holley Blue cab for me, and it turned out great! Theres soooo much to look at! Ill be a customer for life!!!

Always a great experience. The shop owner is forever busy and helpful all at the same time. Very knowledgeable. They do lapidary and will cut and polish stones that you bring in. Find your own Thunder eggs? Prices are more than fair. Great selections of cut stones of many kinds. Lots of sun stone. I never tire of revisiting this shop its always laid out a littler different. Stop by if youre into rock hounding. They teach lapidary and allow use of their equipment for a fair fee.

I have been to this location once, and I wish I could agree with all the other reviews but my experience wasn’t as delightful. Firstly, I entered a store where neither me nor anyone with me was greeted. ( I assume it’s because we looked young) but I promise we had intended to spend money. Then as we browsed around, the shop owner, I assume continued to ignore us while have a rather flirtatious conversation with a woman who didn’t appear to be purchasing anything. I had a few questions and I waited at the counter only to be glanced at and ignored more. I also noted that the prices were quite high. This made me super sad as this seems to be the only rock shop within the vicinity. I guess I’ll have to drive to Salem to be treated like a person.It’s too bad, I’m a really great and loyal customer.

Came up from Eugene for their $10 bucket sidewalk sale. Absolutely loved it, found some great treasures. Everyone at the store was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely be back.

I love the feel of the whole shop! Knowledgeable staff who are always interested in helping you out and helping you learn. I feel like I can always ask Hans about specific rocks or projects. Ive had quite a few of thunder eggs cut there, even had a beautiful cab made from some rose quartz. I just picked up some new pieces; a tourmalated quartz point and fluorite pendant.

I took a gem wrapping class here and it was an amazing experience. Crystal is very dedicated to her students and ensuring that the material is comprehensive and well rounded. She kept the class fun while teaching me how to wrap a cabochon and really spruce up the wrap! Id recommend anyone who wants to learn wire wrapping from basic to advanced to schedule a class with Crystal.

One of the better rock shops in Oregon. If you want quality at a fair price, this is a must stop for any rock nut. Hans and his team make everyone happier just by being there.

It was alright. They have a decent amount of Gems. When I was there, I felt very nervous because the people who worked there were watching my group like hawks, as if they expected us to steal something.

Wonderful experience here! My son gave me a wire wrapping class for Mothers Day. I live in Redmond, but visit Corvallis frequently, so logistics were tricky. Hans was so welcoming and I had an amazing class with the extremely talented jewelry artist, Crystal. She explained everything thoroughly and was a great teacher. I went in to get my mineral-loving dad something from Oregon. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I was able to find something locally sourced and affordable, double win. Had some nice conversation with the owner, checked out his inspirational creations, and got to check out the back of the shop where they work. Found out they also hold many claases, and also do jewelry repair. I will definitely be returning.

Not your stereotypical rock shop full of dusty shelves with rocks. Neukomms offers every thing from rough rock (from facet grade gems and specimens to just fun rocks) to finished slabs, display pieces and jewelry. They also offer cutting, polishing, and custom jewelry making services as well as teaching hands on classes so you could do it yourself if you prefer.

Great stones at great prices. I love this store, its a fun place to come and walk around and just look at all the rocks. Their repair services are really good, everyone I know who has come here has loved it.

Attentive staff that will help you but also respect your wanting to browse. A wide selection of rocks, semi-precious stones, fossils, etc., which while not being exceptionally large is of good quality, offering items from common to rare. Because of their selection being of such a decent size it allows for those on any budget to find something that excites. I saw a few items as low as 25 cents and some as high as a few hundred--so whatever you want they will either have or may be able to lead you to where you can find it. Their prices on some things were not as cheap as can be bought online, but on others they were cheaper--given the ability to see items in person the slightly higher prices were not as bad, as I knew the quality of my purchases before I made them. I also hear that they offer a variety of classes at reasonable prices, so that might be fun to try. If you are in the area you should check out the shop, after all, at the very least you should have fun looking at their selection of items.

These guys really know what there doing. They have this really cool program were you can pay 35 and you get to use there entire shop full of lapidary equipment. They even have teacher available to show you have to cut and polish rock. Out of all the rock shops in this area I would definitely give this one a 4 star rating. If your on 9th street near McDonald this is a must visit store. Keep up the good work you guys. Jim Dandy
