Bought a used motor said it was a fully functioning motor that he pulled off and boat. Said the guy was just upgrading to a four stroke and the motor was complete and ran. He started it and held the throttle wide open and said it ran fine. We thought he was a professional and took him for his word.

Wanted to buy a new motor and boat and thoroughly did my research and pricing not only it was Maurer very competitive on pricing the attention to detail and quality of parts were noticed, everything was easy and staff was a pleasure to work with, they also serviced my engine after the break in and we’re still as equally patient and kind as before I had even bought the boat sales was A good experience and service was the same - will be going back.

Had my outboard motor worked on recently and dropped off at the Maurer Marine.It’s a successful family owned store which provides good service each time we bring our boat in or need new engine, zodiac or parts.I was recommended by my uncle and since going, I’ve spoke to many boaters who have also had the same great experience I have. Go to the Maurer’s if you want good service you can trust.

When asked for additional information about a motor that was purchased from here but didn’t work, there was no response.

Looking for outboard parts around Los Angeles. No dealers in the area. Called a few places in Southern California. Maurer Marine was very friendly no matter who picked up the phone. Prices seem in line with online stores for the most part. Other dealers bumped prices and did not have inventory to cover all parts. The employees were helpful making sure I do not leave without necessary parts for the repair before I asked for them. The two kids are on top of their game. I drove an hour to get to their shop and am happy I did so. Bonus: they like dogs.

This place is full of scammers. buyer beware theyll keep taking your money and fill you with empty promises.

Maurer Marine, the worst play to take your boat or trailer for repair or service. They promised the specific trailer I needed and said they were experts on trailers, but once it was delivered it did not fit my boat. It wasnt even close! They promised to fix it but never did. I spent a lot of money on my brand new trailer and had to go elsewhere to get it right. Even after contacting the owner and his right hand man several times they said there was nothing they could do, so the money was theirs. My recommendation is to stay as far away from these unscrupulous and dishonest characters as you can. There are plenty of better options available.
