Double check to make sure you have what you needed because everything is always mixed up with other bs or its just in the wrong spot altogether. Count on the help dodging you when its going to take any effort or just be hiding in the cart coral playing on their phones. LAZY
The young men that work in the lumber & panneling werd rude & no help same as the young man at the desk by the lumber i just had some ? About the paneling i wanted to by i spent 250.00 in your store & didnt get paneling i wanted

I purchased a Brute brand power washer. I got it home and it didnt work. I am fairly handy when it comes to small engines. It wasnt getting spark. I wanted to exchange it the next day.. The customer service rep needed a hardware manager to ok the transaction. John in hardware came to the front. I explained I wanted to exchange it. He told me I needed to call the manufacturer. I explained I did everything I could to troubleshoot and they wanted me to take it to a service center. I didnt want to mess with it as I just wanted to exchange it. John told me I couldnt exchange it because he didnt want me to have the same problem. He then wanted to argue that I didnt put oil in it. The dipstick indicated it was full of oil. John said I put it in there. I explained it came that way. We argued over that for a few minutes.In the end they took it back. I bought a new one off the shelf and it worked. Why make a customer mad and jump through hoops Id we are going to have the same outcome? I guess Ill just go to Home Depot across across street.
Freaking love this place. Its like my second home. But the 11% gimmick needs to end. Quit price jacking then claiming an 11% reduction. Its just the same price.
I ordered blinds online from the Omaha and Council Bluffs (CB) stores because I needed more than either store had in stock. So, I bought half in CB and half in Omaha. CB puts the Omaha store to shame. It took over a half hour to get our order from the N. 120th St. Omaha location, and that was after going inside after calling the number on the sign and waiting for 20 minutes. The car that came after us (that just walked inside and ignored the call us when you are here sign) recieved their order before we did. When we went to the CB location, I called the number on the sign and got my order in about 5 minutes. Nice job Council Bluffs! You guys rock! Keep doing what youre doing and Kudos!

When I used to think of Menards I thought of America and freedom. After they bought into the mask hysteria theyre just another store to me. I dont prefer them like I used to but they sure as heck aint my first choice.
My absolute favorite place to shop. Love the garden area, and impressed by the food items they carry. Husband never leaves empty handed.
Always helpful when trying to find things. Make sure you understand what you are going to need for a certain product so when you get home you realize that was sold separately.
Sometimes I have a hard time finding things I need. Once I do find what I need they have it, so I cant complain. Still love how close I live from Menards, for now!!!

Have $25,000 in supplies needed for a home remodel. Forgot my face mask that they require a to enter the store. Kindly asked if they could provide me one like all other stores provide their customers that require mask use. But no, they want to charge their customer to make a quick few cents on a mask .Needless to say, hopefully the $.10 profit you were trying to make on the sale of a mask was worth losing out on $25k plus in sales. Home Depot was thrilled to provide a mask and take my money.

I ordered something online and chose in-store pickup. Got an email immediately saying my order was ready for pickup. Next day I drove an hour to go pick my order up only to find after waiting for 40 minutes that they only had half of what I ordered in stock. DESPITE EMAILING ME MY ORDER WAS READY. They told me Ill just have to make a second trip or I could special order it and have it shipped which would cost me extra money. Needless to say I was not happy. The employees were good and tried as best they could to figure out the situation but the store management and inventory management is absolute trash. Will definitely not be ordering from them again.

For the most part, this is your typical hardware store. This particular location seems to usually have what I need unless its specialty items or the local electricians need something that the local electrical supply is currently out of. Staff are typically well versed in where to find things and helpful when needed. Prices are competitive on most things, but specialty items you might find a better deal in a less convienently located store. Personally, its my first stop when Im looking for general use hardware and tools simply out of time/cost ratio.
THE worst customer service. Asked Amber in the garden shop where lattice was. She told me “I have no idea.” And went back to her phone. Then again when we checked out, she was on her phone, completely ignored us, double charged us and got rude when we asked her to fix it. Tried to contact the store by phone, sat and listened to it ring for over 5 minutes with no answer.
Didnt have a mask, no mandate, jumped in front of me like i was going to rush into the store like a mad person. Said we dont need you, you can leave. Explained i cant breathe properly with a mask, she said, then you have to leave. I said, well give me a mask then. She said, Are you going to wear it. Irritated i said, i asked you to give me one. She responds i hope you dont go talking to my associates like that. I asked why she was being argumentative, i asked for a mask. She said, well you refused to wear one. At no point did i refuse to wear one. She wanted to argue, i dont know why but at no point will i spend there again, i dont need them either.

Bill back in lumber was terrible with his customer service skills. Rude and seemed irritated that i needed my 2x4s cut. He cut them the wrong length. When i circled back around to measure them, he sat in his forklift on his phone and didnt even acknowledge there was a problem. I would be calling corporate if it wasnt for the GM Mackey.
Really, really busy when I was there. No empty carts available. I guess thats to be expected at a home improvement store when the weather is nice outside.

These 2 stars are only for employees and their knowledge on where things were. As for the selection in lumber they get a-8 ⭐. I have seen better lumber on the side of the road. 2x4x8s and 2x4x10s non treated Douglas Fur were the worst Ive ever seen in 40 years. In California we call menards Douglas for PISS FURR!!!!. But then again Im from California so maybe my standards are just different.

The store was organized, but the salesfloor was void of clerks to help people.. when you are looking at products and want answers you want help. You should not have to look for sales people. The checkout clerk was not very enthusiastic to help. Not a good day here.
I think that its terrible that if you have a health issue that you can not shop at this store due to their mask policy. Also that if u do forget your mask its the only business I know that charges for a mask. Very frustrating

Walked around the plumbing area over 10 times looking for a copper pipe cutter and tried to get help and wasnt even acknowledged. Left without what I came for. Got outside and employees are hiding under cart returns on their phones. This is the 5th time Ive seen this at the Council Bluffs location. Employees need some training as even the cashiers seem to hate their jobs and customers are a nuisance. If you know what your looking for and can find everything yourself its an ok place go shop.
Menards is the only retail store I’m aware of that has a mandatory face covering policy. They will conveniently supply you with a mask for $1.05. These exact mask retail for a box of 50 for &12.99 ($0.26 each). A couple questions. Why isn’t their policy posted outside their entrance? Not until you park your car and enter the store are you informed of their policy. If public safety is a priority why was there no sanitization wipes at the cart stand? How come they don’t have someone wipe down the C C key pad after the last user? How come some of their employees were wearing their mask below their chin? Are they more concerned with profit vs safety? I understand it’s my right to not come in the store and with that, I will do everything in my power to avoid Menards from this day forward.

Very disappointed in the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff. Just point and go, and no real assistance based on what my need where. Usually I can get what I need from the store, and only walked away with three of the items I needed, and one I have to make the adjustments on myself. I would expect hardware people to have a measuring tool of some sort. Usually the staff is very helpful, just seemed like they did not really care today.
I always get help finding what I need. Today they just didnt have what I needed in store. A portable dishwasher. They are an online item only.
I tried to buy from 3 different dept. In Menards. The women in each dept had no knowledge of the products. I could go on more so to make a long story short I went to Home Depot and Lowes. There they had answers to my question and knew exactly what aisle it was in. Completed my purchases and now happy.

Horrible customer service and very poor management.I’ve been buying 100s of thousands on product at this store. I bought some siding two months ago and I received an email from Menard saying that the siding was in stock. When I got there they couldn’t find it, Jim Yosch told me that it was lost. He only gave me the option of refunding or reordering. To reorder I would take an other month. So he found that store in Columbus, Nebraska had it and he told me he would credit my card back 100 dollars. I decided to take that Even that it was Ridiculous because I spent way more that in diesel just to drive up there. Today I found out he just gave me store credit and I talked Tom Groepper the store manager to get that fix and he told me Straight up that he didn’t care and he was washing his hands.Personal I believe that that is really disrespectful and he has very poor management skills. I would never buy in the store again.Do you yourself a favor and buy somewhere else!
We love the selection here but a few employees sometimes choose not to be super helpful. It makes shopping here a little frustrating but we keep coming back because they have a better selection than Home Depot

Ordered online. After a few days, we got the confirmation email to tell us our order was ready. When we get there, it wasnt ready. Something about the order picked apart for other customers. Waited almost 2 hours for the employee to fill our order and we didnt even get everything. So then we had to go inside (which we were avoiding by ordering online) to get a refund. Absolutely awful. At least the girl who helped with the refund was nice. Never again. Stick with home Depot if you order online.

Menards Council Bluffs. Any business that requires you to do something for them in order for you to give them your money is a ridiculous business. Masks are required and if you didnt bring your own then they have them for sale. How convenient for them getting an extra buck out of everyone who comes through the door. Look if youre scared then you wear a mask or order and have it delivered to your home or brought to your car but dont affect every single American in the country because of the fears of the few. I refuse to shop Menards any more which is a shame because I really like their store but not as long as they insist on restricting my freedom by placing demands on me to be able to spend my money in your store. Forget you!

One of the dew places ive been to that has a decent solution to not being prepared with your own mask, under a dollar for a temp mask you can use the rest of the day if you needed, and i personally think small touches like that make big chains stand out from others
