Great store. Meat counter manager in particular is very knowledgeable. Service at the meat counter is so good that you can barely look at what you want before they’re asking you if you’ve been helped. The way they wrap the meat makes sure it stays good in the freezer for a long time. Awesome selection.

The service is really good. I go there and pay more for groceries for the service because I dont have to check out my own groceries. However now they have installed self checkout Lanes. If I wanted to check my own groceries out I would pay less for my groceries and shop at Walmart. I think fairway has made a mistake by adding these and I am a little offended by it. How can I value the service you offer more than you do.

Every employee is always so nice when we go there. We LOVE their meat selection too! I think they give you that old small town feel grocery store in the way they scan, and assist you with your groceries to the car.

A young man named spencer gave me EXCELLENT customer service while shopping at my local fareway. He carried all of my groceries to my car while making excellent conversation. I will be returning to do all of my grocery shopping here!! 10/10 experience.

Everything was great, very friendly and helpful staff. It would be nice if Fareway would see to it that everyone wares a mask! I never feel safe in your Council Bluffs store, I go in there twice a week and have seen people without a mask every time. I get tired dodging people in the isles that refuse to wear a mask! We may be forced to shop elsewhere.

Gateway is a good place to shop. I think just a little bit higher in price than big stores but well worth the shopping experience. Good sales item . Great staff who will help you to get stuff to your vehicle. The meat they sell in the deli is delicious a real must try, especially the hamburger pre made up with bacon 🥓 cheese, onions and spices a really must try it

Fareway is an excellent supermarket with a wide variety of groceries and a diverse variety of domestic and imported alcoholic beverages. Their best feature is their meat counter. Fareway has the best meats in town. The one drawback of Fareway is theyre a bit more expensive than other local supermarkets in town.

First of all, I LOVE Fareway!! The cleanliness, the set up, the meat counter, the employees!! I dont mind carying my own groceries if i have 1, 2, or even 3 bags of groceries, but I have noticed that when I have one of the young girls bagging my groceries in the afternoon/evening, they ask me do you need help out with these? I had 5 bags the other day and was asked that question!! Well, thats one of the many reasons I shop at Fareway, I dont have to drive my cart to the parking lot, load my car, then return my cart. Besides that, I have worked all day, Im tired! AND ITS YOUR JOB!! So, if a 60ish woman with gray hair comes in and gets more than 3 bags of groceries, offer to carry them, youll make my day!

Council Bluffs Fareway! Their produce department always look top-notch with the freshest produce that a consumer came purchase. The produce section is always affordable and the lowest prices in town. Have Never seen a store that put so much focus in the produce department!!I want to say thank you to the produce manager who’s running the section keep up the good work. And I will be back again and again and again.

Usually very satisfied, but today not so much. They were out of a couple of their specials. When asked employees for help, just not very friendly. Also there was no one to take out groceries to the car. The sanitizer wipes had only one left. The last time we were there, there were no wipes.

I just walked out because I stood at the customer service counter waiting to be helped for a small purchase and the cashier RIGHT NEXT TO THE SERVICE COUNTER didnt greet me and watched me stand there. Up comes another customer to her register who asks if she can get cigarettes from where I was waiting and the cashier told her that she could get them for her. I then asked the cashier if Im supposed to go into a line to ask someone to come help me at the counter and the same cashier said, oh. I can get them for you after I help her. I was standing there BEFORE the other customer came up and was not acknowledeged at all! Is it because Im brown?!?! Is it because Im not a regular ? I have worked in customer service all my life and definitely notice when it lacks. Thanks for not taking care of me and ignoring me but helping every one else, now I will drive out of my way to get two small packs of cigs that I conveniently walked over here for.

5 stars for the produce dept. Havent had good watermelon in 3 years. Thank you so much. I dont know who your order from but, all the produce from this location is so good.

I love Fairway, but please update your hours online. It says youre open til 9pm. I waited to come later and got here only to find the store closed.

Love the meat department. Other locations have meat that is OK, but Fareway seems to make it an art. They have items like thick cut Iowa pork chops, which you dont find elsewhere . They have all of the other items, too, that youd find in a grocery store. The employees are friendly, and they always help take the groceries to the car. Its well worth a visit.

Theyre not open on Sunday, it is Christian based. They carry your groceries out for you, every time. Great meat selections, except salmon. They do not offer large slabs, for the grill. A wonderful selection of gluten free.

This store has gone downhill very quickly. Their idea of quality is nothing but a joke. From the rotting produce to the nasty green/brown, smelly, fatty meats. They definitely need to train their employees in the meat department better about quality!

The last of the true grocery stores. A place where you can actually go to buy groceries and bypass the clutter and comotion of the all inclusive type stores. Groceries and service are their specialty from the outstanding meat counter to the carryout people. Oh and dont go on a Sunday because they feel it is important for their employees to have a day off to spend with family.

We lived down the street and always loved shopping here! We have since moved, but still make the extra drive just to go here because everyone is so helpful and the kids love the mini carts! They also have a great gluten free section that makes my shopping much easier!

They price match automatically, so you get low prices with out lots of work. Food quality is excellent, although since they are a smaller store, sometimes they dont have the exact item Im looking for. Still, I love doing my shopping here. Staff is ALWAYS friendly. If they seem rude, than its probably because they are human and can only take so much.

Prices are comparable to others in the area. What sets them apart is they have a great staff. Yes most of them are younger but they seem to care about the customers. Plus my daughters love the little carts!!

The employees are very very nice whether its a stocker or the butcher are the girls at the register or the sackers thats what I like most about the store is the people. As far as the prices are concerned theyre awfully competitive it just depends on what you catch on sale what they have on sale in the ads and so forth I was just there last night paid 299 a pound for 93% lean ground hamburger even the things that arent on sale are competitive with the other stores

A nice and friendly grocery store.

First time in years Ive been there. The customer service is without equal! The remodeling looks wonderful and the store is easy to navigate. Got my groceries for the week in less than 20mins (with 5 kids that is an amazing feat!). The cashier was kind and the checkout process is honestly probably the fastest Ive seen even compared to Aldis plus the team effort and bagging along with carry out without even asking! The store is good but the people that work there are exceptional! This place is a hidden gem.
