Clean store and lovely to look at. Awesome products. Recently stopped in after not being there since the bas pro/cabelas merge. Three times we were approached trying to sell cheap hotel rooms in Branson MO. The third time a gentleman started off by talking to us about the fish as we had our three year old. We love fishing and it was interesting but I could tell immediately he was only being nice to then lead into a sale. And sure enough it did. He asked my husband and I if we “understood square footage.” I wanted to say well we’re both intelligent Individuals and yes, yes we know what square footage is. It’s unfortunate they feel the need to have employees do these high pressure face to face sales. We won’t be going back if we’re ever in Council Bluffs again. It made the entire stop not worth it.
Yall are a good store and super friendly, helpful staff and all but you guys really need to work on your website for Club Members more!!I ordered a hat Friday, the 17th, which you guys said you had IN STOCK, come to find out the next day later when I tried to pick it up Saturday that it wasnt in stock, it had to be shipped from another location.....Its just slightly irritating that the Club Rewards site isnt really kept up accordingly with the stock.I do still plan to shop here though, you guys still do have me as a customer, just your website needs a tad bit more work!!
It’s a great store, but I probably won’t be going back due to the constant pushing of trips to Branson. 5 times in 40 min of being in the store is unacceptable. I will be warning my friends and family of this also!
Ive been a card member for years and its really the only place I shop. Not real happy with them right now and it might change my shopping there. I just left there after purchasing over $400 worth of stuff and they tell me I should have waited till tomorrow when they have club members day and I could have got 10% discount. I live 2 hours away and had I known they were having an event I would have waited a day and probably would have bought more. The $40 I would have saved would have paid for my gas. THANKS BASS PRO for letting me know about the event in advance and you could have given me the discount today. Scheels is looking better every day.
Very nice store, I wanted to look around and browse their many items, but they had a lady there pushing cheap hotel rooms in the Wisconsin Dells and it was very off putting. Needless to say we declined her offer, moved on, but left the store shortly thereafter. I wasnt expecting to be approached about hotel rooms while shopping for camping gear with my family. I kept expecting other store employees to make the same pitch. Very strange encounter, will never go there again.
Bought a new bow, service was outstanding. Antonio shoots professionally, so was very knowledgeable and helpful. Set up the bow perfectly for my daughter and took the time to answer all the questions she had. Super happy with my experience, will go back

This store never disappoints. We got just what we needed for our camping, plus mens and womens clothes for our upcoming trip needs. The points we accumulated from our previous purchases paid for a good share of our shopping today. Great stuff at great prices. Check out lady was a delight too.
I love their huge fish tank! I didnt care for being hustled for a timeshare or whatever vacation house deal they were trying to lure me into.

Very helpful and pleasant associates! Even within the very last few minutes of open operation! I was amazed at how cheerful, friendly and energized they all were at their hour of closing and with the few stragglers that needed to make their way to the cashiers stands with their final selections. I think that really says something about their Crew.

Its a great place with helpful staff and a ton of neat things to look at. Im sure most people that go there would agree that a trip to Bass Pros Shop is almost an event because of how long you can spend there. The reason for my rating though is that they take full advantage of their centerpiece (the large fish tank) by putting a spokesperson in front of it. This is quite the annoyance since it is a setup to get your info for other means despite the prize of the raffle being impressive. Still, I really dont like it and I avoid the tank for that reason alone unfortunately.
I am never coming back here ever again. The employees are very predatory with trying to get you to sign up for credit cards and take out a Cabela’s timeshare. I just wanted to buy a rain jacket. We literally had to sneak out empty-handed because we felt like she was hunting us down. The timeshare lady shamed us for not wanting to spend $150 and wouldn’t let us leave and then also was pretending to care about our personal lives in order for her own personal gain. This place is hell on earth.

Having an associate approach you multiple times on the floor in order to try to sell you a timeshare in Branson, MO is predatory and inappropriate. We came in for a hat (which they didn’t have—an outdoor store with no wide-brimmed hats) and left empty-handed with a bad taste in our mouths.
Its an ok store. They bother you too get a credit card and time share to their resort so that was annoying.

Tried to make a suggestion for them to sell leatherman pouches & guy informed me we dont just sell the pouch if you want a pouch buy the whole new tool it comes with the pouch & when I ask who or how I could make a suggestion he simply said it waz above me&him . I found the experience rude & border line disrespectful as I dont matter & the store dont care about what I as a customer want.

I stopped into this store two different times to make a purchase for a combined one hour in the store, and I couldnt get one person to ask if I needed help. I asked a lady for some boots that cost $200, the woman acted like i was an inconvenience. I wanted to buy a $100 knife, and three people told me they couldnt help me or get some one who could. I planned on continuing to shop here while I was in town but after these experiences I will be shopping at the next biggest competition to bass pro shops. If you get the chance to shop here I recommend spending the money somewhere else.

This place is so fun to walk through!My family in Oklahoma seem to have the same culture as this place; hunting, fishing, camping, sledding, swimming, boating, and junk food is a way of life for many Americans.Tonight, I saw a mom shooting at their fake shooting range with her little boy. She showed us how to shoot it so the UFO comes up and flashes its lights. We (my son, her son, and myself) all thought that was cool.My son got to see the shooting range for the bows and arrows. A guy came over to explain that its not for public use, just so people can trial their bows after getting them fixed. My son was proud to say hes an excellent shot and never missed. He did archery at camp. The guy offered to deck out his bow if he brings it in. He doesnt have one. My son is now trying to save up a hundred dollars for a real bow and arrows. When my brother was his age he used a shoe string, a tree branch, and moms favorite kitchen knife. It sure is fancier.My son tried to get a free sample from the roasted nuts and fudge cart but the salesperson was either gone, busy, or wouldnt acknowledge us. We didnt give that much effort.We didnt eat in their restaurant, Uncle Bucks, but my girlfriend saw unlimited shrimp on the displayed menu. I saw they serve alligator. Who wants alligator in Nebraska?!My favorite part was the massive fish tank with all the pretty fish; but, the candles and home goods section of the store was a close second. If I ever decide to get adventurous enough for some real fun, the 4-wheelers are only a few grand!Dont forget your walking shoes!

I ordered a shirt shortly before Christmas last year. When it arrived, it was too big and I returned it for exchange for a smaller size. That was the first week in January. I received no indication that it was received or exchanged. When I called I was told it would take 4.to 6 weeks .still nothing.

I decided to write a new review of this place in light of todays experience. Today they had a sale on Remington shotguns, I was there early at approximately 7:50 a.m. because I wanted to be one of the first people in line and I do not mind waiting a couple of hours in the cold. Several people came up while I was waiting, due to the way they wrote the ad it confused many people into thinking they opened at 8 a.m., I looked at the ad and it was easy to understand the confusion. Once inside a line formed at the gun counter, I was first in line along with my father-in-law, we asked a gentleman named Skylar if they had the improved choke for the shotgun which he replied, yes they are behind you.I went to get them while my father-in-law waited in line and he allowed a couple of people to go past him to pay, I returned an approximately 90 seconds upon my return Skyler says to us, you must go to the back of the line. I replied my father-in-law was waiting here for me to return he did not step out of line, in about the most smart-assed snide voice Ive ever heard he replied, well it looks like you stepped out of lying to me so I suggest you get to the back of the line. There was absolutely nothing professional about this gentleman.We got into line and we paid for the shotguns, then we go into the other line to fill out the FFL paperwork. They only had 3 people doing the paperwork and those same people responsible for carrying down the Firearms, they should have had someone running them because due to the hectic and unprofessional manner in which they set up this event it took approximately 30 to 45 minutes to do paperwork that should only take 6 minutes. There were extended periods of time where they were not even up there doing the paperwork which increased the wait time. They were grossly understaffed and honestly seemed horribly incompetent.No one that was working the gun counter seemed in the least bit friendly, I understand it was hectic, I understand management failed atrociously in preparation, but you should still put on a good face for your customers.Im including some pictures of the gentleman who I think might be a manager that I had the bad experience with, as well as the empty counter where they should have been doing their job and processing the paperwork.I originally lived in Omaha and I recently moved to Council Bluffs, I frequently purchase firearms, yes Im one of those people and I spend a hell of a lot of money doing it. I can tell you that after today I will no longer purchase from that establishment or from Cabelas a company they recently acquired, which is sad because Ive spent many thousands of dollars at Cabelas. from now on if I need a firearm I will go to a private FFL dealer and purchase from them or order online and have it shipped to a private FFL. When you are spending large sums of money you should be treated like a decent human being, I own my own business and I will never speak to a customer like that.if anyone reads this, I would strongly urge you to consider another shop, actually I would urge you to support a small FFL business.

Love Bass Pro Shop and have always found what I needed. But decided to buy a gift online for my cousin. I ordered it online before Christmas and my order online still says in process. I called and said orders were processed within 24 hours after being ordered. 11 days later I am still waiting. Customer service lady did a run around the bush of not giving me any straight answers and the money for the item has been taken out the day after I placed the order. Not happy with online ordering.
I called ahead for an online order. The Lila or something like that was rude, saying she doesnt take care of online orders but she is customer service there. She spoke over and eventually repeated herself saying she doesnt help orders to be filled. I wanted to set aside a 800$ item and asked if it could be set aside for me. She said normally no! I was upset and asked to speak with a manager. She hung up on me! That was absolutely terrible customer service and unbelievable she hung up on me. I will not shop there again. I can go to Sioux Falls SD, never have I experienced such unprofessionalism.

Absolutely horrible customer service at the council bluffs IA store, I sat one hold several different times trying to get ahold of someone in the hunting department with no answer and the call directors would interrupt and send you back to the same department you are having troubles with…will never shop here EVER
I went unprepared to buy beginner fishing supplies. I found a staff person and though I was lost and he seemed annoyed, he still helped me through and through. I appreciate that even though I had no idea what I was doing or if he was getting irritated, he still did not let it show. He was helpful and knowledgeable, understanding, respectful, and did a very good job.At the customer service desk, the young guy helping me purchase the fishing license was also respectful and pacient w all my questions.I appreciate your customer service.Definitely recommending.

Not good service today, my wife and I chose to go here and consider a purchase. We were at the gun counter for a total of 20 or so minutes. We were patient and then our patients ran out. Two people working the counter and one manager. There was a computer issue we were told. It would have been easy to call anyone qualified over to relieve our situation as well as the man behind us. After the gentleman behind us was fed up and left we decided to leave as well. I spent years in customer service before retiring and it is a shame that noticing an issue and NOT finding a solution in this day and age has been lost. Oh well this is this storys reality. Back to online shopping. Aloha

This is only my second bad review, came in with my 19 year old son. He has been saving to buy his first gun on his own. we waited in front of the guns for 20 minutes..... no one would help us.the one employee working was one the phone for about maybe 3 minutes. When he got off he went and talked with a friend or maybe a family member who had just got in town with his dog. I told my son dont worry he will be 5 minutes maybe. Even if he would acknowledged us as customers i would have been fine. I finally had to ask a gal if she could help, she did but had no clue about guns. I have spent a lot of money and time with Bass Pro and cant believe that i cant even get treated like a human.With my son feeling disappointed that i said lets just leave, even know you had the gun he wanted. I agreed to look at the fishing stuff with him. Went down stairs really kind of mad. We did have anything that we really needed just looking...... not one but two diff people asked if they could help. why couldnt that be the same upstairs. I went back to work and were telling people about this and they said that they too have never had good luck with the guns. This is to bad! I am not sure if this will keep me from coming back or not..... I can say that after i have helped with selling 3 boats there i will not send anymore people that way. Hope that the people get trained better on how to treat people!
