This store can do it all. Make keys, help you find the plumbing parts you need, mix you a gallon of paint or help you pick out just the right tool or show you the latest grills. Love this store.

I have been trying to figure out how give Google this info. This hasnt been a hardware store for a year now. It is a thrift store. Thrift World. As a thrift store I like it a lot. Not much hardware here though.

Basically the last of the hometown hardware stores.. A lot quicker to get in and out for small items.. Much easier to get questions answered and to find staff help than a bigger chain store..

A store that has employees that know what they are doing and are there to help, with moderate prices, and big enough to have what I need without overwhelming me.

Stopped by for something quick, and had no problems, but please have someone fix your flag it is wrapped around its pole and cant fly

I like Westlake for a couple of reasons. First, they are one of very few who have the old school hardware store the look and feel brings me back to when I was a boy with my dad going in for some nuts and bolts to fix something.

I went to Walmart for a filter that they didn’t have or didn’t know what it was. Detected that I was failing with my search for my air filter I looked to the right and saw Ace Hardware and thought I’d try it out. Right when I walked in the door a girl with blue bangs asked if I needed help. She was super friendly and helpful and brought me right to what I needed! Triumphant that I successfully accomplished my mission I also sighed up for their Ace rewards. I will be back!

Great store with knowledgeable staff almost a dieing bread these days we will be sad if they ever close and Ace is hanging in there even in these rough times they are the last of the chain hardware stores left in Omaha and if they close then we will have a couple locally owned small stores left and thats it. I shop here often and there clearance items rock, great prices on them. I also watch the sales items and seasonal specials they usually are very well priced. Thank You ACE for your continued support of the Omaha area market....

Had what I needed. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Didnt enjoy being followed around like I was gonna steal something. Cant say it was unexpected, I am native and this is iowa.

First time in the store after moving here. Nice store, well laid out.

I found them to be somewhat snobbish cold indifferent all I wanted to know was can I return this here even though I bought it at this one, they act like I asked him a foreign question. I understand that it was you know close to time to close up, I get that you want to go home, I understand but when I look at the clock and you still got at least 15-20 minutes, keep the attitude.

Very helpful and attentive staff. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure that you get exactly what you need.

They have a girl named Tina that works there. She is always very helpful and pleasant. She is the reason I go back. She is an asset to the store.

I live somewhat close to here so its Convenient and has a pretty friendly staff. But man the price for Convenience is getting Ridiculously Expensive. 😷

Westlake many unusual hardware, home repair, gardening and cleaning items. Staff is typically helpful and knowledgeable. Garden center has never disappointed me for variety and quality. Their prices are a little higher but as the saying goes You get what you pay for.

OK. I admit it. This is my favorite store in Council Bluffs. I love hardware stores! I loved accompanying my dad to our downtown hardware store in Ypsilanti Michigan where they had everything from drills, hammers, ladders, TV sets, radios, to TV tube testers. (Yes we used to have tubes in our TV sets and would try to eliminate the TV repair man visit by testing our own TV tubes!) This Westlake Ace Hardware store has everything except the TVs and tube testers. How could this store have every part, screw, nail, plug, hose, hook, device that you could ever need? It does. It also carries off the wall snack items so beware. The staff is very friendly and very helpful compared to the Big Box hardware stores. And so easy to shop here. Park close to the entrance, ask for help, get your items, and leave... This store has that wonderful hometown hardware store feeling that I loved growing up. Think of spending your dollars with these folks. We already lost another independent hardware store in town!

Not like it used to be. I needed Grade 8 hardware. Had bolts but not lock nuts, not the first time this has happened. Employee said they are not getting the shipments. Went to Bomgaars. They had a great selection and all the bins were full of hardware. Bye bye Ace. Price was literally half for hardware at Bomgaars too. Check if you dont believe me.

I went to Westlake Ace for potting soil and the flowers were so colorful and healthy looking that I had to buy some. The herbs and vegetables were also so healthy looking that they made the trip home as well!

Helpful employees, clean store, signs that clearly mark what youre looking for. If you do run into a problem or need a display case opened, someone is always just around the corner from you. Go here often. They have a loyalty card/ program and you get coupons if you appreciate the items you CANT get at Menards. Though, I must say, I do shop Menards ( Sorry Ace!!!). But I honestly prefer Ace.

My husband and I were in Council Bluffs all weekend, I think people in Iowa are the nicest people, if everyone in the world were like them it would be a better place!!!!
