The Walmart technician are very help full. I had an issue with my tires and the gave me the proper tools and the option to take care of it. They were really genuine in wanting what was best for the customer. I bought 3 brand new all season Goodyear tires for $87 a piece. Who can beat that!?

Ask for Josh. Thats all I have to say probably the best employee Ive ever worked with at this place. Always in a good mood always there to help knows everything right off the top of his head not only he zhi there for service but hes also theyre doing the oil changes he looks up he knows the tire sizes Ill tell you if you going to go into Walmart and youre going to go in and ask some questions about something you want to have done your car that they offer ask for Josh.

Have installed 10 sets of tires on various SUVS and Trucks. This place puts Town Fair Tire and Firestone to absolute shame, and offers the same or better quality at half the price in some instances. Walmart Tire Center for life!

Terrible!! I went to get an oil change for my car. At the counter to check in were 3 people. One manager and 2 clerks. One clerk was busy with a customer. The other clerk was on the phone. The manager couldnt be bothered to check anyone in or at least say Hi or We will get you in a min nothing. Then she and the clerk walk off and leave just 1 person to hanele the line 4 deep and the phone. After 15mins of waiting to get checked in at 1030am come to find out they couldnt start an oil change for over an hour. As we walked out we could see in the bays one mechanic working on 1 car. Terribly staffed and horrible service. Dont waste your time

I never leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience. I was skeptical to go to Walmart for an oil change but I’m so glad I did. The person at the desk (Chandler) was SO HELPFUL. He answered all of my questions and helped to find me an appointment that fit in my busy schedule with kids. There was a long line and he tried to get everyone taken care of promptly. Highly recommend!

This was an absolutely ridiculous experience. First we thought that they put the wrong size tire in so we brought it back and had them put the right size on. We took it back home only to fund out that it was someone elses rim altogether. The other customer had to drive all the way back from Westerly to have the right rim and tire put back on his car. We had to make two trips back. The last time, they told us a manager was coming. Been here an hour and have seen nothing. Got nothing in return for either one of the customers involved except an apology. Never even saw the manager! 3 and a half hours of time wasted. What a joke!

This walmart auto center accepts in person appointments only. I live at North Providence which is almost 25 miles away from this Walmart Auto center. this is the closest walmart that has auto center From my home. When I went in person today to get the appointment they just noted the tire model number which I could have very well given over the phone and saved 25+25=50miles drive from my home and 1.5 hours of my time. Next, they did not have the tire that I wanted. So I told them I will order from Walmart app and it is expected to deliver next week. I asked them to give appointment two days after the delivery date but the Manager refused to accept the appointment. The manager told that they would take the appointment only after they receive the tires at the store. So again I’m wasting 1 week for delivery plus another 1 week for appointment. Move over, the manager seems to very very rude with her replies. There was another guy who was patiently answering all my questions and helped me a lot. I would appreciate the guy but the manager was very rude. To change tires I have to wait minimum of two weeks. They definitely need to plan well and accommodate their customers better.

Nobody knows whats going on...Set aside items get lost, basic information and requests from customers have to be reiterated, kids run the desk and orders, mix-ups, innatentiveness, etc. Two tires replaced should not take over an hour.

9/25/2018Review is for Coventry RI Tire Center 9/20/2018 and again on 9/24/2018 to 9/25/18.No stars is what this should be. Went there last week on a Thursday (9/20/2018) trying to purchase tires because of hydroplaning in the rain. Was told earliest appointment not for another week away (so not until the following Thursday). Called for availability on Sat and Sunday...nothing. My wife called again on Monday and spoke to Supervisor (K) explaining 1.75 inches of rain forecasted for Tuesday, issue of hydroplaning; not safe to drive. This supervisor (K) informed her that she was not going to guilt her, she had nothing available, I could not be squeezed in anywhere. She actually suggested there are other tire places that do install tires. Obviously there was no shame in driving customers away from Walmart to other businesses at all. Is that a good Walmart employee? I went there that day on Monday to wait on the off chance that someone would not show up. I ended up having to leave without service but with an appointment for the following Monday (10/1/18). So now this is trip number 2 without help or options. My wife called Lisbon Walmart in CT. They were slammed but suggested they open at 7AM Tuesday. I had to take personal time off from work and drove there to CT (I live in RI) for 6:50 AM. Got four tires put on, I was their only tire customer for the next hour. My wife then called Coventry Tire Center again to see if there were any customers at that hour over there. None and NO Appointments were scheduled either. My wife was told that if I had come there for 7AM there would have been no problem with getting the four tires put on. The guy that answered the phone was very understanding. Far nicer than any previous contacts. Now my wife is speaking with a manager of the Coventry store and will be contacting the regional manager of Walmart to explain exactly what happened. Coventry RI is close to where I work and would have been so much more convenient. In the end, this cost me significant unnecessary time off from work, inconvenience due to the extra distance and extra time plus extra money on gas. Extremely poor service, rigid mentality plus a true lack of care and concern for customer safety. All managers of this location will be informed. I was told that Lisbon CT location gets many customers from Coventry RI with the same issues and complaints. Thank you Lisbon CT for your attention and wonderful service! Coventry RI please take notice. Employees need to be educated (or replaced!) as to the value of customers. Your customers are what drive business and going above and beyond for them should be standard practice! Amazon has a great business model; some valuable lessons could be learned.

I just think its funny on the busiest day in the afternoon on a Saturday my husband can walk in without an appointment and get an oil change and tire rotations with no issues.

The store manager of the auto shop was completely rude and disrespectful. She told me she could not give me a conventional oil change because of the year my car was made, even though Ive had conventional oil changes before. She offered me the $45 option, which was not even the next step up from the conventional oil change. I believe she was trying to upcharge me and was being very disrespectful. I do not trust this auto service and their knowledge. I would definitely recommend going to another auto shop!

They broke the lugnuts off my car. Had to leave and go to a another mechanic to have the job completed. Waited 4 hours for them to mess everything up, break my stuff and make me go somewhere else anyway. Can not explain how horrible this experience was. Walmart should be ashamed.

I researched Walmart tires after my mechanic mentioned that they seemed to be a good value. I phoned to see if the tires I needed were in stock. A pleasant lady told me that they dont take phone appointments, but if cared to come in, I could either risk catching them at a time when they could fit me in or, at the very least, could book an appointment in person. I asked if there was a pattern to their business and was told that the closer to the weekend, the busier they get.I decided to go on a Monday after work and got there at about 5:45pm. I commute via carpool or mass transit most days, a round trip of about 100 miles. I also work a second job, so my free time is very limited. When I arrived, all of the bays were vacant, and there were four technicians lounging behind the manager. I was told they very fully booked and so couldnt fit me in, so I booked an appointment for three days later.I arranged my schedule to accommodate this appointment. A friend laughed when I told him that I had an appointment; his response, youre not getting tires tonight- he knew other people that had appointments that had bad experiences with scheduling.I arrived a half an hour early to my appointment, figuring I could shop if they werent able to take me early.This time, all the bays were free, but there were only three techs lounging behind the counter.The manager asked me, when I arrived, who I was, then told me that hed tried to call to cancel and reschedule because they were short handed.I was polite but clearly unhappy about this development. I never raised my voice, but I did let him know that rescheduling was a complication and an inconvenience. The three guys behind the manager alternated between expressions of boredom and annoyance at my unhappiness. As I was leaving, one of them yelled out, Have A NICE DAY!I didnt appreciate bis sarcasm.It was obvious to me that their employees dont care a bit about the job they do or their customers. At this point, I wont trust Walmarts technicians to install an air freshener in my car.BJs Warehouse is a stones throw away, and their tire prices are actually a bit better than Walmarts. They also allow for online appointment booking. Firestone tires is nearby, too. PepBoys is close, as is Jennings and Town Faire. Im sure there are others.Walmart, you CAN and SHOULD DO BETTER!

If I could give it 0 I would. We needed tires and quickly due to a long distance move. Called to make an appointment and were told it would be 4 days+. Then were told that after 5pm it is walk-in only appointments. Due to haveing to drive 45 mins to get there we wanted to make sure this was the case. We got to the center and walked in 2mins before 5. 1 person in front of us was asking a purchase and asking questions on prices. By the time he left it was 5:03pm. Walked to the counter and the woman working (that we spoke with on the phone that day) was rude and said I have no walk-in appointments left for the day. There are already 4 people. My husband very nicely pointed out the information that we had called ahead for a reason and since it was just now 5pm how is it possible that all slots are filled? She didnt answer. Worst service I have ever had. I have been a devoted user of tire centers at Walmart for many years. I am not sure but if I were Walmart it would behoove them to check the practices of this Walmart service center.

Where do I start? Getting there 45 minutes before they close THAT department to say that dont think they can help me.To begging to borrow a tire rod to take my tire off. To getting my own tire off the shelf. To have a uninterested employee help or ask me general questions to help me....its NOT his department was his answer.Im sorry when you work for a big cooperation isnt your first job CUSTOMER SERVICE.Im in retail and it isnt uncommon to have customers be rude but when I go out of MY way to help and then get treated like that was unprofessional.I would NOT recommend your tire center at all. And they need to be trained better in all departments.If the rating could be a 0 I would of put that. If they get a 1 for looking up and saying Hi. I guess thats fair.
