Ive been coming here for decades. I would rate it higher if not for the self checkouts. At most, I normally see two human cashiers.This seems to be expected at most chain markets and retailers, but theyve added a system which senses whether youve bagged your scanned items or placed something you didnt scan in a bag. Or, at least, hypothetically.The reality is that if you take too long (2 or more seconds) the computer voice tells you to place your scanned items in the bagging area, as if thats not what youre already trying to do. If you bring your own bags, the computer doesnt account for the weight, and passive-aggressively suggests youre stealing.The very second the receipt prints, the computer tells you to remove all items from the bagging area, as if youre not already trying to do that. It doesnt even give you time to take the receipt or your change.The whole process seems rushed and off-putting. If youre going to force people to use self-checkout, it doesnt make sense to make the process unpleasant. At any given time, the help lights are flashing at multiple self checkouts, and customers need a human anyway.Ill still shop here sometimes, but if you dont like waiting in long lines for a human cashier, and you dont like feeling rushed, or being suspect just because you wanted to do the right thing and bring your own bags, this place might not be for you.

Stop and shop is good just trying to bring your prices down would help....I know everyone is absorbing the impact... Stay safe and happy holidays

Have shopped here for 25 years and never have I experienced such a poorly run store. No deli help, no cashiers, the bagger was terrible. Usually have to bag myself but last two visits had a bagger . Should of done it myself! He put two things in each bag. I must of had 100 bags. He burped all through the process. PLEASE TRAIN these people.Lines down the isle with one light lit ON A WEDNESDAY Absolutely Terrible

It was well laid out and easy to navigate. I was able to easily find what I needed. Also, the store itself is not overly large.

Below the main Stop & Shop sign on the front of the building, theres decorative signage that just says flavorful meat. Id like to meet the person/committee that decided to put that specific phrase in foot-tall backlit letters on the front of this supermarket. I bet theyre fun.The sign is accurate -- Ive purchased several varieties of meat from this Stop&Shop, and theyve all been flavorful.

Its clean, aisles are wide, everything uniform so its easy to find what your looking for. The clearance dairy case is me favorite.

I had a very poor experience there two weeks ago. What makes me not shop there any longer was the attitude from customer service. They did not make me feel like a valued customer, more like they were doing me a favor. I asked them to give me a reason to make me shop there again and she simply said, that is too bad, we hope to see you again soon. It is sad because I live a half mile away. Instead of going there, I now shop a couple of miles away. I do not recommend this store. When I spend good money, I at least expect to be treated with respect and a valued customer.

There pre-cut fruits are left with a bad sour taste, cleared stocks of there S&S pastas, and the only thing is the ground turkey, it is actually good but I am just wondering wen they are going to make them bone-dry .🤷🏻

Its a shame Stop &Shop will be no longer in the near future just like Almacs Super markets and IGA. However they do have time to change and become new again.Good luck.

Never had a problem. Even had lobster in middle of winter. Would def recommend, but be sure to get a card to get all their savings!

I went into stop & shop to purchase flowers and I needed a vase that was on the top shelf and I couldnt reach it in this wonderful associate named Catherine who was on her break took the time to come over and help me. I always go there to buy my flowers especially my red carnations

I worked at this location in the 90s, so I know how good it is. They have everything a supermarket should have.

I go out to do my shopping, and no matter where I go people take their pets. This should not be allowed at food places. Some people are afraid of dogs, I am not, but it doesn’t matter the size they should be at home. I believe the owners of the company should stop this and it should not be allowed. I Believe that people should be able to go shopping without that concern. This would not of happened to years ago, so it should not happen now. They can go to the pet store with their pets and that’s OK. Not at a local grocery store or bank we’re going out to eat ETC.

Always good. Gotta watch expiration dates on fresh foods. Sales usually include foods that have a short shelf life. Sales are competitive with other stores.

Masks required, both entry doors are open, but the one at the bakery end gets locked at 8 pm. Clean, shelves stocked well.

The store is okay. The shelves are reasonably well start but sale items are often missing. You have to hunt them down and other aisles if you want to find them.the people that work there are usually very friendly and helpful if you ask. The produce is usually in pretty good shape and not punk.

Robot is a pain always in the way.... too reliant on self checkout

Quick and easy

Stop and always has a good selection of food. Its a one stop shop definitely. The only downfall is prices there are really skyrocketing. I wish they wouldnt get greedy. The store is always clean though and food is always fresh

I work at this specific location and I can’t even begin to tell you how bad it is to be a S&S associate we are extremely under appreciated the management team picks favorites they do nothing about the problematic associates but make excuses for them

Great Supermarket, you will find almost anything over there, one caveat, a bit expensive BUT you also get weekly & gasoline discounts, so it evens out. Very clean with excellent customer support. Stop & Shop is one of the best well run organization. This is one place you can never complain about.

Deli order took forever. Once I received was missing part of order and was not sliced as requested.

I love this store. I live I M Warwick and travel to this store because they have a much better selection. You would think that they would all be the same but the prices on almost everything is at least 50 cents to 1.50 less than other Stop and Shops..and the people are extremely nice and always cheerful.

I shop here regularly, and find most of what I want/need, but there are certain products that I have to go to Walmart to find. Im now beginning to worry about cleanliness/quality control, however. The last time I went, I purchased some Breyers ice cream, and when I later decided to have some, I discovered it had already been partially eaten!!! This was VERY obvious when I opened it. Then I realized that the protective plastic thats usually around the lid had also been missing (which I hadnt noticed when I bought it). I dont know whether some of the ice cream was eaten by an employee or maybe by a customer somehow. I only know it wasnt me. So, my trust in Stop and Shop has dropped considerably.

This location is very clean and neat. They always have great specials. The staff is super helpful and friendly. Easy to find most of what I look for, and staff is always quick to help me locate anything I couldnt find.

Have shopped for many years at Stop & Shop and always enjoy visiting to buy something specific or browse. There is an abundance to choose from. Some stores have a pharmacy and banking services. Ample parking. Use the shopping card to get discount benefit.

What can I say? It’s Stop & Shop. You stop and you shop. Always finding what you need.

Only a three star rating because of there fruit and smelly lunch meat. I’ve been there multiple times and saw moldy fruit. Also every time I’ve been there the lunch meat smells strange. But besides that great.

Stopped in for assortment of deli meats and they were great. Prices range high.

Shop at Stop & Shop in Coventry I shop at out of convenience.... I am always pleased with the freshness of the fruits and vegetables. The freshness of their meats. If Ive ever been displeased in any item Ive just brought it back and Ive gotten not only the product itself but double my money back. Thats happened once.

They have really stepped up their game at this location from when I went years ago! I love the value size boxes of diapers, wipes and more. The formula I need is always in stock for my little one. A kind manager helped me with a formula dilemma I had once and he didn’t have to (he was not obligated by policy). I do wish there were bigger packages for meats, however. The small package sizes mean I need to purchase more and I usually can find meat prices much cheaper elsewhere for the same quality.

The Coventry store is better than the North Kingstown store. The Coventry store has a full Seafood area where North Kingstown does not have any Seafood except for Frozen and some fresh in a case. Plus it seems the Coventry store has a bigger assortment of gluten-free and dairy-free items.

Its ok, not the best stop and shop. Prices a bit high for the quality of foods.

Well expensive as always. And couldnt find anybody in the store to help me find an item no one seemed to know where it was. So I had to find it on my own took me at least 10 more minutes in the store then I wanted to be there.

Easy access and your basic grocery store. You can find good bargains on meat sometimes. This is my local shop to get groceries, its only right down the road from the Casa.

I have good experiences at Stop & Shop most of the time. The only issue thats annoying is that they never have enough cash registers open, but I guess to thats true at any supermarket. Their prices are pretty reasonable and I can always count on them being well stocked.

They have ads in their flyers for products they dont have in stock, due to the virus. My complaint is you go there believing they have it due to the ad and are informed by store personnel they havent had it for over a month and dont know when they will.

Its always very clean and well organized.

Coventry is the ABSOLUTE WORST store in the state! Sunday morning at quarter of 8:00 in the morning before Christmas and there is not a drop of Diet Coke to be hide in the entire store. Most holiday items than a normal family would purchase were either not available or down to 1 or 2, Store was packed yet only 5 Cashiers only one of which had a bagger. Potatoes were moldy, grapes were rotted, Cool Whip was non existent. In today was a good day for that store!

Good selection and helpful staff. Basically a good experience for grocery shopping. They carry a lot of ethnic food, pertinent to the area of the store.

Love Stop and shop. Always find out Im looking for. The people that work there are always helpful and always in such good moods. Great atmosphere for shopping

All though I like some stop n shop. This one wasnt my cup of tea. From the minute I walked in the atmosphere changed. I was not greeted in the entry way not that I care but its something that Ive gotten use to from the other stop n shops. Plus as I was checking out, wasnt asked if I found everything that I was looking for.

Always my favorite grocery store. Big, fast and friendly. Great sales and prices with quite a few locations always makes for easy shopping.

Produce is always fresh. Selection is great. I always feel a bit gouged when I leave stop and shop though. Thats probably because I only go there when its convenient for me. I dont bother using coupons or keeping track of sale prices.

This store has updated scanners. Plenty of self checkout terminals. Staff is always pleasant and willing to help, store is always clean and shelves are stocked.

Not happy with stop& shop because you have to have a computer to down load sale items to get the sale price..I DONT have a computer or internet.I will be shopping at Daves Market, at least if the items are on sale,I dont have to do anything. MAKE LIFE EASY!!!I writing this for my friend...

It would be nice if there were cashiers working. Self service checkouts might be alright with some people, but I always have problems with them, and hate the fact that it takes jobs away from the community. Waiting in line, when there might be 3 registers open is ridiculous! What ever happened to providing service to your customers? Most often I will go to a smaller market in Coventry where I can get some personal service.

Ive come to this location since before it was Super. I have never had a bad experience here. Even when I have lived closer to a different Stop and Shop, I often came to this one. The staff are always friendly and helpful, even when I have had impatient days and not been the friendliest of customers, I have been met with kindness.

Im a big fan of this Stop & Shop because it is one of the only supermarkets in the area that is open late. Its almost never crowded, and theres a ton of other shopping options on Tiogue Ave., so its usually a very convenient stop for me.

Bailor at the service desk worked with us on a complicated western union transaction and was so patient and pleasant! He is amazing and got everything set never losing his smile! He held to the stop and shop policy and wouldn’t even accept our offer of a tip!!! Hold on to this guy!!!!

Great selection of items. Employees that i met were very friendly and helpful. The downside is the prices are a bit high.

The young associates were too busy talking with their friends who were hanging out with them by the registers..Also, since when were NON SERVICE dogs allowed in the grocery store...The associate said that managers allowed it...I believe that is against food regulations, but what do I know, i only was in the food service industry 35years, j/s
