I woke up this morning with no heat in my home because there is something wrong with my furnace. I called and a woman set up an appointment for later that day. No one showed up, so I called and the woman said that I was not a current customer and they could not help me. I was not told this when the appointment was scheduled. I was not a current customer because I live in a single family home that does not need many repairs from a business like this. They say to support small businesses. They say to shop local. I will do neither. Very poor communication and customer service skills.

I called about a gas line i needed installed. The customer service in that business is awful. The lady in the office has absolutely no sense of customer service.This is a company I will never use for anything . Horrible experience way to treat a local. The guys in the field always seem to be kind and helpful. But the office people just down right suck!

Hello,I just had a service call performed by Joel at my home. I am writing this to inform you of the absolutely outstanding job he did repairing my boiler system. He was extremely polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I would like commend him in his work ethic. It is a Friday afternoon and I know he has a family to get home to, yet he went out of his way so resolve my issues, and did so remarkably. I would like to thank Masterworks and Joel for doing such a fantastic job. My experience was 5 star and I wish every other contractor could learn to do the same. I will recommend your services to everyone I know from now on. Thank you to the office staff as well for making my non emergency fit into the schedule as well. Prompt and courteous! Asked if I would like a low level Carbon Monoxide Detector, and having known a dear friend that almost died of CO poisoning, I purchased one. They installed the new hot water heater and made some adjustments to an poorly planed drain pain, that will make a future water heater replacement more efficient. I would definitely recommend them and I will be using their services in the future.

For all those who wonder what reviews to trust, I can personally attest that Masterworks Mechanical has undergone a radical transformation in the past few years, with new, amazing owners and dispatch staff. We have used their services several times with our business, & have nothing but good things to say! They have always been quick, super friendly, and very competent - always going the extra mile, with a smile. The dispatch department is recently new, and also very courteous. I have also personally witnessed the new owners take great care of their employees, which speaks volume for their integrity. Prices are reflective of this area, but I would rather support a family that stands behind its services & products, than a large chain that pays no personal attention to customers. I encourage you to give them a try - you will not be disappointed!

Epic fail. I moved into a home that I recently purchased. Mark at Masterworks performed a number of plumbing and HVAC repairs four days before I took possession of the home. I noticed during my walk through that a shower diverter valve they were paid to repair was still seized and that a supply valve they were also paid to repair was leaking. The seller and her agent refused to contact Masterworks so I called Mark and asked what they would be willing to do to make it right. I told him that I assumed they would stand behind their work because I know they have a good reputation. He told me it was tricky because even though the work had only been done a few days ago I wasnt technically a Masterworks customer, that the warranty wasnt transferable. He also went on to tell me how easy it would be to fix these things myself. He said he would take it up with the office and someone would call me the next day. I let him know that we were at a crossroads where they could earn a customer for life by doing the right thing, or never do business with me if they chose to blow me off. Needless to say no one from Masterworks Mechanical ever returned my call or followed up with me, and yes the items were easy to fix, but after Masterworks had been paid to repair them that was far from the point. If you like customer service, and companies who do the right thing when given the opportunity you should keep looking.

Not a clue what they are doing. A month and a half after my original phone call, they sent a plumber who spent two hours and still had nothing fixed. I had described the problems in detail when I called in so they should have sent someone who knew about radiant shop heaters and Renai hot water heaters. He even admitted when he left that he had no idea. I still had hot water issues and heat issues in my shop and also low water pressure from him messing with my pump and now my dishwasher wouldnt fill because hed messed with those shut offs. A week after his visit, I still hadnt heard anything so went to their office only to be told that he was probably waiting on parts. I will NEVER use or recommend them again. I will recommend against using them.

My boiler was installed by Masterworks, and they offered a 1-year warranty on their work. I noticed a leak in one of the pipes below the boiler shortly after the 1-year period, and it had obviously been leaking for more than a few months (evident by the build up of crud on the pipes) all due to poor fitting. They came and replaced the faulty fitting, and the repairman was at my house for 45 minutes, never mentioning that it wouldnt be covered under warranty. A couple days later, I got the bill for 2.5 hours of work. When I called to question the bill, they said that I was responsible for a portion of the drive time from Craig to Steamboat, but it seems like I was charged the entire journey. The bill was never adjusted, and they continually sent me late fees while we disputed the charges. I would HIGHLY suggest using anyone else.

Masterworks replaced my cast-iron sewer lines in my 100-year-old house. They knocked it out quickly and our cellar is dry!

I know these guys. They invest a lot of time and money into training their people. I am glad that they do. I have a friend whose nieces life was saved because MasterWorks knew about the dangers of carbon monoxide - and solved the problem. She would feel real bad at home, then she would go to work and feel fine. Someone picked up on that clue and said you need to call MasterWorks because they know how to make your home safe and healthy. Sure glad she did! Thanks MasterWorks!

10/18/2016 DO NOT USE master mechanical for minor needs if its not something that is going to be at least an hour for work they price gouge if a job takes five min they still charge 90 dollars and the owner is rude
