Years ago I used to recommend this place because he was never busy, now I see why lol. Now he picks and chooses what He Wants To Work on and I got a quote higher than every where else. There are a couple really good shops in Lafayette that will work better with customers.

I had an excellent experience at Muffs & Tails. The technician was able to get me in for an estimate Monday close to closing time. He was honest and fair in his diagnosis of the problem. He provided a very reasonable quote for a muffler replacement on my 2008 Chrysler Aspen. The parts were there the next day and I was able to have the work done Wednesday. It only took 30 min and the truck sounded like million bucks! Fast and friendly service, I would definitely recommend them.

Came in to Muffs and Tails because of an exhaust leak on my 1990 C1500. I also wanted an upgrade. Roger was very helpful explaining my options. He also got me in the same day to do a whole cat back flowmaster exhaust with stainless tips. My truck sounds great. Material prices were good and his labor rate are surprisingly low. Overall very happy with the end result. I would recommend Muffs and Tails to anyone.

Very impressed! I went there with my service truck that needed the welder exhaust vented outside the truck. He took a couple measurements and bent the coolest looking question mark shaped pipe. One shot, no re-bends. Came out the muffler, made a long sweep back towards the machine, followed down the side, exited the bottom of the bed and had a 45 on the end. Beautiful one piece pipe. I never thought I’d be so impressed with an exhaust pipe. He was polite, professional and helpful. Went in and she wrote me up and I was out the door in no time. Will most definitely have them do all my future work. Highly recommend them!

Great repair shop! I have taken my vehicle there for brake and exhaust issues and they have taken care of me with friendly service and really great prices! They also have really quick service it only took their repair tech 1 hour and 45 minuets to replace front brake rotors, pads, and calipers on my car!

Over priced! Just to get me by (specifically what the lady at the counter told me) patch work on my muffler/ resonator/pipe cuz it fell... $391(before tax). Went and got a few other quotes and was astounded that THIS was the price to temporarily get me by. Never was it made clear that this would b the price for parts and labor to fix the issue as opposed to a quick fix solution. Failure to communicate properly 😩

I brought my vehicle in for an estimate and they performed the work the same day. The staff was friendly and the repair is of high quality.They replaced a section of exhaust pipe in about 20 minutes while I waited.

Roger is the best

I have no doubt that some people have had a pleasant experience with this company, but I did not. After weeks of searching for a reputable local company, did my homework and everyone recommended muff and tails. So I went there. Right away it should have been a red flag when the owner/technician prefer not to instal custom systems or parts they do not provide. I get it, sell parts make more money. Long story short, the quality was sub par, welds half done, a number of leaks, double gaskets and sealer in the manifold to cat flange. Said he didnt have time to fix it cause he was running behind and thats why he shouldnt have taken my car as a job. In my opinion as an experienced auto technician and exhaust specialist this type of service would not have been accepted.Why did I not do my own work you ask, none of my own equipment of course. In conclusions maybe it was just my day or maybe the tech wasnt having a good morning, seems like if the price isnt right the guy doesnt care too much. Hope this helps
