This is my number 1 favorite crystal shop! (& I go to many). They have a huge selection & everything is really well priced. The store itself is great as well! Amazing staff that’s helpful & knowledgeable, the music is calming, and the energy in the store itself is elevating! I would definitely suggest checking this place out!

Ive been goint to this store for over 20 years. Just being inside is an experience. Do NOT bring small children. No space, tons of breakables. BUT - it is the best store around for spirituals and witchy goodness.

I’ve been coming here since my mom was pregnant with me! Lol! The staff has always been so friendly even the new ones that I haven’t known all my life. They have a huge variety of crystals and the best incense. But seriously wish they’d stock Enchanted Forest more because that’s the best smelling one out there! The best music! Even some cool air plants! If you identify with anything out of the norm there’s something there for you! Rock posters, patches, gauges. Man they’ve got everything you could ever desire.

Just went to this store 20 min ago and it’s the best metaphysical store in town for sure! I’m from California and 2 amazing men helped me today. One of them complemented my pink and turquoise ty dye shirt right away. The other guy with dark hair was super helpful and sweet and has such good energy. Love this place and so happy with my purchase

Putting positive energy out into the internet space on behalf of the single best store in the area, Rocky Mudds. I hadn’t been in for too long and being back there was like walking into the safest space known. George is absolutely one of the greatest gifts to mankind and the fact that he’s right here in Crest Hill? Incredible. I love this place so much and I can’t believe I let myself waste any time not popping in every now and then!!!

I used to really love this store years ago. Even with some stuff being overpriced, it was still a beautiful shop with a cool atmosphere. Nowadays, you cant even look around and enjoy shopping because every few seconds theres an employee popping around a corner making sure youre not stealing, and following you about. In a shop like this you want to be able to look and enjoy and feel connected to things, and its hard to do that when youre being constantly poked at so to speak. Its just a bit overboard here now and it makes the experience very uncomfortable.

George is such a nice man! Helped my friend and I with any questions we had and was super generous with explaining the stones to us. All workers were great! Highly recommend! Wide variety of stones

Staff was absolutely amazing! I was visiting from out of town, so of course Im used to the shops near me. Everyone was EXTREMELY warm and welcoming! They were very patient as I took what felt like an eternity looking at rings until finally one just jumped out at us. Plus the fact that they offer layaway AND shipping is a HUGE plus! I walked in with the intention of just browsing and walked away spending well over $250. I will definitely be ordering all of my many wants and needs from this store!!!

We loved this store as teens and we came back to town recently and checked it out.The other reviews are correct- you will be followed and watched while shopping. It was uncomfortable. One of the staff members left the crystal room door open and got upset that customers had entered it. They were rude about it.They have lovely, high quality jewelry and crystals, but the experience was not a good one.

Terrible experience so I walked in & immediately get followed like if I was going to steal something. Those people are doing it for money that’s it. I wouldn’t waste my money or time in there Fr not worth it at all. & btw none of them are spiritual so I see right thru that BS they doing as a cash cow only for the money ridiculous & low on them. Worst places ever to get anything there don’t GO!!!!

I love Rocky Mudds! It is my go-to place for crystals and I swear I never get bored inside! There is a large selection of items and the workers are incredibly friendly. Definitely a great place to go to!-- I would recommend them having a punch card or something like that for customers who spend a good amount of money here, prices are a little high but quality makes it worth it

So I was looking for a place to buy some crystals and Rocky Mudds didnt disappoint! Their collection of crystals is amazing! They also have a lot more including clothes, incense and many other things. If youre looking for unique gifts for friends or family or a good place to spend your stimulus check, this is the place for you.

I love this place so much has everything you could want and more! The workers are so awesome they make you feel super comfortable. Such a positive atmosphere and i never leave empty handed such a great store.

Wow, the vibes where all off and being a spiritual person I left there feeling so drowned, it felt like someone or something was always on my back, the energy was so off! But wow. I need to recharge and bless my over priced items, please check the prices cause idk how $8 bracelet + $10 bracelet + $20 necklace = $51.84 and she cut the prices off too so be safe going I here.

I had really high hopes coming to this place full of a open mind until the owner completely ruined my experience. Super rude and unprofessional I didn’t know much about specific rocks is when I asked a employee named Fish which is a GREAT employee that helped me understand and grasp a better knowledge about a few items I was interested in until the owner interrupted and asked her to help with something else on the floor than rather helping a customer. Will not be returning to this store unfortunately.

The staff were great, the atmosphere was amazing, I was helped by a couple people and each person was a delight. They went above and beyond for me in regards to purchasing stones and other items. They even fixed a price for one of the stones I was getting, and they took the time to find where I got the stone and made sure I was charged correctly. Very friendly people, and very beautiful items sold here. You can get lost for hours in here with everything they have to offer. If it’s on your list, I can promise you they have it, from crystal chips, to CBD, to beautiful jewelry. This was my first time coming, but I promise you it definitely will not be my last.

I’ve visited this store many times, simply because I love the variety and they do have some beautiful and unique items. I see/ hear a lot of complaints about over-pricing. However, you have to be mindful that this is a shop and a small business. They have to pay for rent, employees, and higher taxes (as opposed to the online shops who can offer lower prices). Some of the items are priced super reasonably and others are excessive. My biggest complaint would be their loss prevention measures and two particular members of the staff (two older women, I believe one to be the owner or manager). These two women are often rude and condescending. You’ll need to ask to see most items as if you were in a fine jewelry store. This isn’t unbearable, but it is awkward and inconvenient, especially if you don’t want to spend an hour in the store. The must uncomfortable part of the experience is how intensely you’ll be monitored the entire time. You literally cannot shop here without being watched, followed around, “innocently” offered a basket or to take your items to the front. Please keep in mind this is not the employees fault, but rather the boss that is quite paranoid about theft. I had a friend who worked here and quit after a week. You’ll notice staff changes frequently here (except for the four older employees who have been there forever). (This info is from my friend) Employees have to have pocket checks regularly and if they bring a bag it must be clear. How ridiculous and insulting. I understand that theft hurts a business, but this is excessive and more likely to drive customers away. I can’t imagine this shop staying open for much longer if they continue to treat their customers this way. It just makes for an altogether unpleasant experience. I’m a regular and have spend a good chunk of money here and still get treated like this every time I go.

During my visit to the store, immediately upon entering we were asked if we needed help finding anything. I declined and said I was browsing. I had not been there in years and wanted to look around. The staff follow very closely while youre shopping. This made my experience less enjoyable. In fact, I didnt enjoy it all. I felt as though I was under suspicion the entire time. Not just one but two or three people stalk you while you shop making if very uncomfortable. I tried to keep a smile and sing the songs playing overhead but the feeling I got from the experience is one I never want to have again. Theyre not as interesting as they were years ago, either. They had much cooler stuff back then. Oh well. :) Not interested in going back, ever.

Cool stuff, but pretty overpriced (even compared to other small spiritual businesses) and the staff is very invasive. two to three staff members will stalk you throughout the store and just watch you like a hawk. it’s understandable that they don’t want shoplifters, but as a woman of color it can feel somewhat like profiling when i’m being watched every second, as if they’re just waiting for me to snatch something. the manager also accused a young girl of stealing, searched her bag without her permission, didnt find anything, still charged her double the price of a ring she didn’t have, then cussed her out in front of everybody. it was a very uncomfortable experience for everyone in the store and i will not be returning.

Me and another customer were accused of going into the crystal room without permission when in fact it turns out one of the employees left the barricade open. I didn’t know it was supposed to be blocked off because It was only my second time coming in. It made me so upset that I didn’t buy anything.

I havent been there in about 25 years or so, but I remember how much I loved that store. Im a rock enthusiast, and I could spend hours looking there. I did buy some jewelry and a couple of the more inexpensive rocks, but I dont have them anymore. I live in Iowa now, but if I ever get the chance to go back to Illinois, Rocky Mudds will definitely be on my itinerary. 💜💙💚♥️

Best crystal shop I’ve been to by far. Been there twice now and they have everything you can think of from herbs, to singing bowls, to incense, and so so many crystals. Thought I had saw all of them, and then was told there was a whole extra room in the back. Owners/workers are super nice as well! I live in Chicago and it’s very much worth the drive compared to chicago shops.

Everything about this place is amazing, except the fact that they keep OVERCHARGING me!!!The first time they overcharged me $60 bucks, but they ended up refunding me my money. Ok, thanks! Just recently they overcharged me $15 bucks. They have a habit of guessing how much items are supposed to cost or changing the price.

I have been coming to Rocky Mudd for almost a year now, and I actually moved away but still make the drive down! Their workers are always super kind and easy to talk to, and so helpful - definitely my go to crystal shop.

I have heard they are a bit overpriced but it is my new favorite shop and dont think it is terrible. I have many more shops to explore but I love how friendly the workers are and it is close to home so it works for me.

They have a lot of amazing spiritual and religious items from multiple different religions and different spiritual paths is the best way I can explain it its definitely worth a store going to and seeing if youre into that kind of thing if youre looking for something a little interesting like an idol or something religious-wise or you just really like animals or fairies or little trinkets this is a place to go yeah there are more expensive theyre not somewhere youd spend money willy nilly but for something you really really love worth it

Amazing selection of crystals, Ive been to new age shops all over the Chicago and surrounding Chicago area. This by far has been the best for crystals, I purchased an angelite turtle for only $15! They also have great deals on incense. BONUS they even have a smoke shop inside!

Rocky Mudds never dissapoints! The staff members are so chill and are willing to help you with anything you need. They take Covid seriously by maintaining social distancing and providing hand sanitizer and selling masks, even for their smaller space. The energy when you walk in that door is overwhelming, and there are so many beautifully crafted items I never know what to choose from!

Prices have risen dramatically since I used to shop there a few years back. Im not sure if theyre under new management, but I dont remember the profiling being that bad. They werent even discreet about it. We would have continued shopping, but being shadowed by the entire staff is uncomfortable. I could have easily spent hundreds. Back to Amazon.

The atmosphere is intimate and inviting. The staff is friendly and always happy to answer questions or chat with newcomers and regulars alike. I always look forward to visiting, not just for the people but because theres always something new and awesome to see/purchase.

My boyfriend and I recently went to this store. I was instantly excited to see a crystal store in my area and as big as this one . The store has a lot going on so be mindful that you would have to take your time. I recommend coming with an idea of what you want before coming in. Due to it being out first time in the store and the abundance of items, we decided to browse for a bit. An particular employee seemed like he was being helpful at first, but I quickly realized that he was following us around the store. I do understand these items are easy to steal, but on the other hand they are $2-$4 crystal there is no need to stalk customers. I was very uncomfortable and put off by this I almost wanted to leave the store. Also to view crystals they have to pull them out one by one as if you were at a fine jewelry store. This also made me uneasy. Especially when buying crystals you need to see which one your attracted to the most. I’m not sure if anyone had a similar experience I feel like this place is not the best due to the environment. Very disappointed.

Friendliest people I have had the privlage to meet. They really have grown I to quite a nice gift shop. I see quite a few future Birthday Christmas and Mothers day gifts in there for myself in fact. The Owner is as Real as she can get and Im glad to have talk to her on occasion. The store truly is Beautiful and you Always spot something different each and every time you go in there.

I love this store. Ive been interested in Tibetan singing bowls for a while now, and they have a great selection of antiques, as well as new bowls made of various materials. David was very knowledgeable, patient and kind. I appreciate the time he took to provide excellent service. I will always stop by when Im in town! 🤗

I have been coming to this store for years and have never really had a huge problem besides every item being wildly overpriced. Costumer service has never been amazing, but also has never been horrible. Until one day, I was in the store in their smoking room where they sell pipes, bongs etc. The man who works in this room was EXTREMELY rude and inappropriate to me. He shouted at me aggressively in front of a whole room of people and I was so uncomfortable and embarrassed to the point of tears. I left and have never been back since. Why did he yell at me you may ask? Because I said the word ‘weed’ while in a conversation with my mom. So he screams “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU YOU CANT SAY THAT IN HERE STOP”? Which... you definitely can say whatever you want wherever you go. It was just so bizarre and lead me to believe he is just mentally insane or on some type of drug. Anyways, I will never, ever be back.

Ive been going to spiritual shops for about fifteen years now. There are certain things I look for and have come to expect at stores like this.One, I look for practicality. How likely am I to find something in the store that I can realistically use in my practice? Rocky Mudds checks off easily in this category. I have left the store with so many useful and practical items that I have just recently used in rituals, etc. Extra points for having some non-spiritual items I could use as well.Two, I look for organization. Can I mostly find what I am looking for without needing to ask for help? Now, some might argue that this is where Rocky Mudds falls flat, but take into consideration, occult stores are few and far in between, so if youre going to open one, especially in rural IL, you need to make sure you have lots of everything. Rocky Mudds does indeed have lots of everything and they make use of the space they have to try and make it all work, and for the most part, it does work. All the incense is in one spot, the daggers/athames are in another, stones and books are located near the back, etc. However, I will say if they dropped some of the less looked at and purchased items (some of the shirts, skirts, etc), they could free up some walking room and prevent accidental elbow bumps.And three, I look for personable employees/shop keepers. Rocky Mudds has quite a few more employees present than most other occult stores I have visited mainly due to the size of the store (its pretty huge). And each interaction with them has been pleasant and overall helpful. Many of them are upfront about what they know and do not know. And if they dont know something, they will try their best to find an answer for you. Though some are put off by this, Id rather have someone honestly tell me they dont know than to lie to me. Ive also read many complaints about the stalking but it really isnt that bad (or it has improved since before Ive shopped here). There is certainly a fine line between keeping an eye on inventory vs stalking your customers, but I personally never felt discomfort. These are easy things to steal, I get it.Overall, Id definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for spiritual items including crystals, incense/holders, and tarot cards. They only lose one star due to the cramped aisles, but otherwise, I highly recommend this place!

Wow!! This establishment has just become my new favorite place! The selection is out of this world! This place is like stepping into a movie! The place smells fantastic and has to be the cleanest shop I’ve ever seen. Not a spec of dust on any of their glass!!! I was helped by George who was extremely knowledgeable and was truly a great experience to work with! There was no pressure to purchase anything. He simply shared experience and knowledge and left the rest to you! I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. I’ll be back for sure to check out the rest of this place. It’s huge!

Very helpful staff

The store in general is very nice. Crystals are expensive but i understand that. What is not ok is the amount of cultural appropriation that’s going on in the store, specifically native americans. There’s is a bunch and offensive native american statues, dream catchers, and white sage. not to mention i noticed the slur gy*sy on one of the products.
