Love the customer service. Has a great deli, the pharmacy is wonderful. Interesting, fun food. Exotic fruits, cool pumpkins. The reason I didnt give it 5 stars is the prices are a bit high. Without the pharmacy punch card to get 20% off, I wouldnt be able to shop there as often.

Friendly, helpful, kind, hardworking staff. A bit pricey, but convenient. In-store, curbside, and delivery shopping. All your grocery/beauty/health/seasonal shopping needs can be met here. Terrific and knowledgeable pharmacy technicians!

The frequent buyers membership has many great deals/ discounted prices. The produce is fresh with many sale prices and the meat department always has some great sale going on. Jewel previously had a reputation of being higher priced than their competitors - that is not necessarily the case any longer. If you havent gone to a Jewel in a while, I advise that you come and compare. Good sales, clean store and friendly service.

Great grocery store they have a good produce section. Meat department is also great. The meat department manager Curtis is always willing to help you with special requests and cut to order meats.

Good experience mostly. However, why is it that baby formula is locked up, and on top of that an associate needs to walk with you to the cashier, as if though Im buying a gun? I understand people might steal stuff, and its 30 bucks, but put more cameras if your so worried or tags that will beep if you walk out with it. On top of that, its pretty hard to hide a big jug of formula, you would think. Wine and beer isnt locked up but baby formula, better lock it from those parents.

Always can trust and count on a Jewel-Osco for lobster tails. Already packaged and ready to go! I always come in for things you cant buy at your other grocery stores (fresh seafood and specialty cheeses). Love how nice and friendly the staff always is and the store looks clean as usual. Went in for hot wings, waited over an half hour for them got home they gave us honey wing instead

This review is for the catering and the catering only. The store itself is great however the catering and the deli manager are not. I put in a catering order 2 weeks before my event. Part of my catering order had the 6 pds of spaghetti. I was never told the spaghetti would come frozen but that didn’t matter because I went in 2 days before my event to confirm my order and I was told I can’t have my spaghetti. The young man who took my order 2 weeks ago never told anyone and so jewel did not order it. If I did not confirm my order, I would have went Saturday to pick it up and have no spaghetti. No one bothered to call me to inform me or anything.When I confirmed my order the man told me I can call the deli manager the following morning. I was told her name is Jean(excuse me if I spelled it wrong).Her customer service is AWFUL!!!! Never have I felt as a customer as a burden. Well she sure made me feel like one. Not sympathetic at all. Didn’t care. She pretty much told me “Well there’s nothing I can do” with such a nasty attitude. I will tell everyone to never get catering from this jewel again based on my awful experience and jeans HORRIBLE customer service.

The store is well stocked for the most part . The employees are friendly and helpful. But the prices are abit to high, youll have to stop by your local bank and take out a loan . even if you have cuponds or a member of jewels web sit .it supposed to save you money if the items you purchased is on sale . I purchased 13 items last week the bill came to $103.00 the good news is I saved $7.00 . This is why I normally do my shopping at Aldis but even there you have to play Russian Roulette with the produce . But I guess every place has there problems.

Very disappointed in the Jewel in Crown Point. They always seem to be out of sale items. Usually have to travel to the one in Dyer. Hate having to make more than one trip for items.

Its a nice store, Ive always received help when I request it. But the old butcher that works at the meat counter in the evening has a serious respiratory issue. He gets these hacking spells where his body is trying to reject flem. Twice now Ive seen him walk in the back out of public view and hack his lungs out in the same room they cut the meat.

They have the best cakes! We order for birthdays, anniversary, really every celebration. They also have cute Christmas items some are already 50% off! Store is clean and well stocked!

Jewel prices are ok it helps that they have j4u coupon app, sometimes it work great other times not. The only thing I would change is the customer service they yell at their employees in front of customers and they dont have respect for the customer them selves.

Nice store to shop in...clean and neat. My big complaint is at the checkout. If you buy an item on sale, they first charge you full price and then deduct the difference at the end. Most people arent mathematicians, so you dont know initially what you paid. Mistakes cant be caught unless you go home and sit down with the calculator. You feel scammed. Especially if you have a cart full. Its a computer, and can be fixed.

I am going to give this location a 3 because in general I think the store is clean. The employees on the floor are very helpful but the cashiers Are my least favorite people there. I offered to bag my own groceries because the cashier had no bagger and I still got attitude from him. These young cashiers dont have manners.

According to training the meat cutting machine is to be cleaned every 4 hours. They dont do that.Just one of many issues.Poor, ignorant, leadership in this department. Dont take my word.Come in and see for yourself!

The store is clean and stocks many organic brands. The staff is helpful, they know where things are if you dont. I have not tried curbside pick up because I want to pick my own produce, but it is avalible. The produce, bakery, and meat departments are well kept, stocked, and maintained. The employees seem to care about the product they put out and the customer that purchases it.* My advice to anyone going to any place for the first time is to take note of the layout and where items are. Get a feel for it. This always makes for a more enjoyable shopping experience, in the future, for me. 4⭐ are my highest rating for any place/thing because we can always improve. Plus, we all have individual experiences, so what is a must for you may not be for me and it was not mentioned in this review.

Its been years since Ive been to Jewels and my experience was good. I like the fact that whatever I couldnt find in the store I could go to the customer service desk and ask them. The Customer service agent was polite and courteous she called the meat dept to check if they had a certain item that I was looking for. I love this store they have certain items I like that they dont carry at my local grocery store.

Really good fried chicken that they absolutely destroy by putting hot fried chicken in a plastic bag! When you put fresh fried chicken in plastic bag, even though it has vent holes in it, the oil from the chicken that weeps from out in the cooling process as you transport it home creates an oil bath on the bottom of the bag, that combined with the excess steam that cannot escape leaves you with a product that no longer resembles the nice fried chicken you left the store with. You end up with a slimy product that truly disappoints.The worst idea ever for “to-go” fried chicken ever!What a shame.

Horrible customer service. Shop elsewhere. I purchased a packaged corned beef brisket which turned out to be an inedible lump of near solid fat. I phoned the Crown Point Jewel and was advised to bring the brisket back to store and take the matter up with customer service. Upon returning, however, I was told COVID-19 protocols precluded my entering the premises with previously purchased food items. I asked how I was to get a refund or a store credit, and was informed that no refund was possible at the time. Henceforth, I will sooner pay Whole Food prices than shop at this Jewel.

Friendly staff and good assortment of items. Check out lines do get quite long throughout the day, self check out helps with that problem but then that line also builds up down the ice cream aisle.

Has my most favorite called chestnuts 🌰 there the only store that carry then and so far i have purchased 14 pounds. Cause there not around like other they only come out before Thanksgiving and there gone by New Year day. But anything you need jewel has it great grocery store.

I really love shopping at Jewel, its so quiet and quaint at night. Everyone is friendly, the produce here is always superb... great deals, clean store, friendly helpful people.

Due to higher cholesterol I have had to change my diet. Jewel has the best selection of Fish types, that I can eat, at good prices.

Inconsistent Stock/Variety of Product. Many times we will find a New or different variety/flavor, of a product to try. It seems as if we really like it a lot, on our next visit to Jewel, it will be out of stock, and never be reordered again. These are not seasonal items or limited time only items. We have inquired with the store manager several times. He explained that they (the individual stores) do not do the purchase orders. Was told her could put an order for an item in for us, however it would have to be a bulk order, which we would have to purchase in entirety. For example, we wanted a flavor of Bear Creek Soup, that they carried for a while, then just stopped. Had other flavors, just not this one. Since the shelf life was long, he ordered a case, which we had to take them all. This happens so often, when we try something new or different and really like it, we joke that well never find it again at Jewel! The Store does have good sales. Just try and stick to the items on sale or what you really need. If you dont be prepared for a shock at check out! Get the sale items and things you cant get elsewhere, then head to Aldis!

This store is always clean and has great produce but they can be overly priced at times. But in their defense, they have good sales to be taken advantage of.

Bought baking potatoes. Big mistake. They were really small. I will never buy potatoes that small again. I should have gone elswhere.

Very well stocked and not crowded. Took away 1 star because they had 2 cashiers at the 15 item or less Express checkout and only 1 for everyone else that caused a line to form. I only had 4 items so was able to use Express but 4 people were ahead of me. Overall a good store

Jewel is a bit of a drive for me considering Aldi and Strack are closer, but Jewel is the ONLY store in the area that sells the Fage Yogurt with the fruit separate and in several flavors. All other yogurts are so thin and runny. Please do not stop carrying it. Of course as long as i am there I get all of my groceries, plus the staff are nicer than ANY OTHER STORE.

I always find whatever I need when shopping this Jewel-Osco. Fresh produce and meats plus a full liquor section. Great to grab everything in one visit.

I prefer Jewel-Osco to Whole Foods, which I think is expensive for no reason!!!

Ive gone in here a couple times and have always had a great experience with every cashier Ive encountered. The sales are always great and the store is super clean! I wish they had a bigger beer selection because previous jewel Ive been to usually do. Jewel has a lot of what you want specifically but thay are pricey. I spent 92 dollars and it was all vegetables. The only protein in the buggy was lunch meat.

They were out of a lot if things, but that seems to be normal in a our current situation. The checker was very nice but he was extremely slow and had a horrible cough. It was really stressful that the manager let him work when he was sick.

I think my cashier was eating lead paint. Verrrryyyy sllooowwww today. Still a great store.😆

Management not too helpful at times when you need them. Check your receipts before you leave the store is the best advice to give.Recent visit also showed me not to pickup bulk items just because of the first item you see. The items behind it are probably not what you think you are picking up. Stocking here has become a problem for some reason.

I go here from Hobart for the pharmacy the Staff is excellent as well as the service the environment is clean everybody is friendly and will work with your insurance company and doctors to make sure your prescriptions are correct
