Bitter + Sweet used to be a place I recommended anyone visiting the South Bay. I used to go daily to grab a cup of Secret Breakfast and chat with the Asian lady owner (long time ago). Im a bit sad that the workers now are unfriendly / borderline rude.I went to get a cup of the usual velvet latte and a breakfast and sat at the counter. I was told by the worker that I cant sit there. Literally just you cant sit there without looking at me. Ok... awkward silence followed by the sound of the chair.Im the only one waiting for my drink and she calls out velvet latte! I wasnt sure if it was even mine because it sounded like she was calling out to someone else. The cup looked like it wasnt washed. There were dried up spots on the cups rim. When I was done, I went to go put away my cup/dish. The worker was using the counter I was told I couldnt sit at to be on her phone. No thanks or have a good day or anything. What happened to this place? Also the ambiance is a bit off with the arcade machines. The machines are either turned off or just has no sound. Its like they arent sure whether they want the arcades or are annoyed by people using them. Space would be better utilized without them.Call before you arrive because they seem to also be pretty liberal with their hours. When I arrived, there was a sign on the window that said they are closing early that day.Im still giving them 2 stars because their drinks are good.I recommend going to Voyager Craft Coffee for a happier environment with better staff / drinks to boost your day.

I used to adore this place pre-COVID, but since 2020, it’s unfortunately been declining. The hours of operation are sporadic at best, the staff is pretty rude now, and the quality of coffee doesn’t justify the trip anymore. For example, certain food items won’t be available at the whim of whomever is at the register. If the staff doesn’t feel like warming food or making certain items, they will just refuse to make it even though they have the time and energy to do so.I want to continue supporting this cafe, but they’re not making it easy. I hope things improve as time passes.

Very friendly and helpful employee made me a special blended drink to my specifications which wasnt on the menu. Love it! Lost a star because croissants are overcooked, slightly burnt and dry. Creepy mask in the rafters. It doesnt make sense with the rest of the decor which is very pleasant to hangout in.

This is nice little coffee shop. I always like coming here for my coffee fix when I am in the area. Its usually not crowded in the mornings. Some of their drinks I have tried:Red Velvet Latte: While interesting, I didnt like it very much. Milk taste totally overpowered everything else in the drink.Black Sesame Latte: was very nutty, had slight sweetness to it along with mild espresso flavors. Its more calm-me-down than pick-me-up but I definitely liked it.Lavender Latte: very floral tasting drinkKarl The Fog: is pretty interesting, and my favorite drink to get here. Its milky, has good tea flavors peeking thru and rightly sweet. Its no Chai, but if thats your thing, or if you like tea, you will certainly like it.

Few places capture service, hospitality and creativity. Daniel and his staff prepare an artistic coffee experience with love and dedication. Giving back to the community by way of donations and connecting with their customers with personal service is only outdone by the great taste and choices of coffee confections! I got their espresso tonic only. The syrup for the tonic was a little on the sweet side which threw off the drink. They use a sodastream, which is awesome since I have one at home, but it wasnt as crisp or carbonated as I would like it to be. The vibes in the cafe was pretty cool probably packed during non pandemic times. A little out of the way for me, so not sure if I would be back.

I need to come again to try the coffee. Their matcha latte is quite unique, and their cakes are great. Good vibes, nice environment.Edit: tried their coffee. Maybe a bad batch, but it tasted mildly burnt. 12 oz of below average latte for 4.75 is a bit disappointing. if it was 16 oz for that price, then it might have been worth it anyways.Unless you like their signature drinks, its below avg.

Came in for a chai one morning, stood at the counter, and was stared at for a good 30 seconds by the guy foaming some milk before he deigned me with a greeting. I get that he was working, no problem, but I think it is a bit crazy to look at someone for that long and not at least say Hello/Just a minute, especially after I say Hi. I order my chai (only one size, OK) to go and was then surprised when he handed it to me and this $5 cup of chai that I ordered still has a good 2 inches to be at the top of the cup. Maybe Im spoiled by my usual haunts, but I am way more used to getting a full cup to nearly the brim. I didnt order a coffee and ask for the barista to leave room. Perhaps a sizing issue with their to go cups? (again, only one size offered, so that just seems odd)Chai itself ended up being OK (love that they use David Rio, my go-to), mainly because the ratio seemed a bit off - it was overpoweringly soy milk and not chai.Seemed like a cute place, but I wasnt impressed.

This is a great place to sit, indoors and out. Outside is a quiet neighborhood with the Cupertino Library and Civic center nearby so its a very family friendly place. Inside, they make the most of the space and the tables are comfortable to work on. There are three arcade games that have their volumes disabled so its actually not distracting at all. The service is fast with a smile. Wife says the cafe latte was excellent. Tiramisu cake we ate was not moist enough, but was not too sugary which is good.

Very good coffee -- Some of the finest you will find. They use Sightglass coffee, which I find hard to beat. Skillful and professional staff. Nothing at all bad to say, except that the prices are too steep. $4.25 for a 6oz cappuccino, $4.50 for a plain croissant. But, very good cappuccino in, even though occasionally it will be delivered at a slightly too low temperature. As of his week, the Classical music has disappeared. He even came up to me after I was sitting to pester me to move my computer from the desk. I am sorry but somehow this place did not impress me. The decor-yes but the coffee-big no for me. Went there over the weekend, place was pretty busy. The place is wonderfully beautiful from the inside, it isn’t very spacious from inside but they also have sitting outside. Ordered a cappuccino, wonderfully presented BUT tasted so bitter. From my experience, the worst coffees are the ones that are served without cleaning the filters first! After couple of uses the filter makes the coffee taste super bitter which is exactly what happened with my coffee here. I went there with so much expectation after reading all the good reviews but alas I’m sad with my experience.
