Very helpful without being patronizing from everyone I spoke with & great pricing for bulk material

Decided to conduct an experiment. I used some of my leftover SBS Vegetable Mix in 2 pots and standard potting soil (from the store) in 3 others. I didnt even germinate my seeds and just threw them in. A week later, nothing in the potting soil. But my SBS mixture has me ready to transplant these to my raised bed tonight! Thank you SBS!!! :-)

Complete communication breakdown between the office and yard workers.

Everybody I had contact with was helpful and nice. Especially since I had no idea what I needed. Gave me several affordable options on what to do with raised garden beds.

Poor quality product & delivery was the worst . I bought vegetable gardening mix and pea gravel two months ago. What I received was a mixture of dirt, pea gravel and a lot of big and small clay chunks. Truck driver said that it rained last night after he loaded the truck so it might be wet. But he did not mention it has become a paste. It took me 4 days and uncountable number of wheelbarrow full to haul the whole thing to my backyard(its on a slope). I hoped for it to dry out and get separated. I waited ad waited and after a month I planted some seedlings and seeds to test if the soil is any good. 4 more weeks down, all the seedlings are the same size and only a few seed germinated but no growth. The whole reason I went to this company was to buy local and reduce plastic packaging. basically I bought 6 cu yd of dirt for $600.

I drive all the way from Frisco to get their Gumbo Buster. When you till it in with clay, it makes beautiful magic that your plants will love! Do this one time and your beds are fixed for life!! Picking up bagged materials is really fast and easy - they help load them into your vehicle for you. Great service and great product.

I got stuck and a front end liader pulled me out of the mud and continued to drag my truck across the beat up path pulling me over logs and wrecking my trailer and truck and all hed had to say was sorry man and toom off and no one offered to comphensate me or cared

The company was great to work with initially, however I bought the vegetable blend. They did not tell me it would be about 15% sticks larger than a pencil mixed throughout, which is horrible for growing vegetables since the materials used clearly are not fully composted. Outright lie about what is included in the product. Unfortunately once they dump it youre stuck with it. Ive amended constantly and Im still hard pressed to get anything to grow. Wish I would have just paid for cheapest bagged soil from the store, could not be worse than what I got from them.

They have high quality material at very reasonable prices and the staff is amazing. From the guys inside the office to the guy loading the material. I purchased the ready to plant soil for a several flower beds Im doing and I plan on going back to purchase mulch👍

Back twice in the last week for more soil amendments. The team was amazing and very helpful and the price on the soil was a bargain. I was in and out in no time at all. 5/5 highly recommended.

Ordered a truck of dirt to level my yard on Thursday and was told to expect a call to confirm delivery. Never heard anything so I called the next days and the guy said, Yep, youre on the schedule for Saturday. Great!Saturday morning comes and goes. I call back. He tell me, Oh we had a truck turn over this week so our schedule is way behind, it might be Tuesday before we get to you. What? I had workers scheduled to help me. I have grass being delivered this week. Your incompetence has cost me money and time. This is not how you run a business.AVOID

This is the fifth time I have used their materials and I’ve never had any problems. Their superb products help my plants thrive in the crappy native soil at my house. I will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Huge value for your money if youre working on your own home. Probably ten to twenty percent the price of buying by the bag at your favorite big box store. Great selection, and helpful people.

Edit 3-11-2019: This review was just for your veggie mix. Im not saying your company is bad or you took down my review. I have ordered your finely shredded mulch in the past and was satisfied with that.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Not sure why my review from 2 years ago was taken down, but I bought the same premium veggie mix as everyone else only to find out that its 90% sand. I ended up dumping all of that expensive sand and using it as a pathway between my beds. Using 1 bucket of sand is not the equivalent of 1 bucket of compost. When will you learn that and stop claiming that its a 50/50 mix.

I live on a large property with sandy soil. Over the years I have used many services in the area. FINALLY someone who delivers high quality product. I have recently used a 70% top soil/ 30% manure mix that helped my depleted soil. They will mix it then deliver it. The crew leader who helped me with my most recent project wanted to know where he could buy this same quality soil. My grass has never looked better.I have since spent many thousands of dollars with them and now I am back ordering from Alpine.

Their compost is nutrient rich and my plants love it. Their website is very informative and they offer exceptional products.

5 stars aren’t even enough for their excellent organic products! With their advice, I picked the right soil & mulch, and I am very satisfied with their products and professionalism.

Terrible Experience. Starting with a complete communication breakdown in the office and ending with soil that was incompletely composted and definitely not ready to plant. Product purchased was a dump truck load of ready to plant veggie mix. Contained at least 25 percent rocks, wood chunks, etc. Have spent numerous hours attempting to screen this material. Buyer beware, this place is not worth your business.

The veggie mix I received was 90% sand and 5% bark and % 5 maybe soil. It is rock hard and everything died! So disappointed and mad. Paid major bucks for major disappointment. I plan on having it dig out and replaced with bagged soil because nothing could be worse that’s for sure!

Bought their veggie mix and it was a totally over priced 90% sand mix. They claim it is 50/50 mix of sand and compost but after letting it dry out, it is more and more obvious there is mostly sand in this mix. Bought some compost too and that was not broken down enough either. I have to make my own compost now from their supposed compost. There are tons of 3-4 in pieces of wood and lots of huge hard clumps that get to 6 inches across (have to literally pound them to break them apart). The funny thing is that their super fine mulch is a better medium and much better quality than their compost. Over paid for everything. They are nice people, but if you are doing anything for gardening, be aware that you will have lots of large pieces of wood and unfinished material in there. Stay away from the regular veggie mix.
