Great place to have a driveshaft made, excellent quality but they are very busy. It took two days from drop off to pickup and was very reasonably priced for the style of driveshaft I wanted for my street car.

Best old fashioned automotive repair place I know of, second generation owner and machinist mechanic with decades of experience.

I just installed my drive shaft back into my truck and went out and ran her. Smooth as silk ! This place is TOP SHELF. Very reasonable on my wallet also. Look, if you have a problem with u-joints, carrier bearings or anything else that has to do with a drive shaft, I recommend this place. Evidently, so does everyone else so be patient. Hes a very busy man but he will get you taken care of. The finished product is worth it !

Well, the owner is rough around the edges, we got off to the wrong foot on the phone, but took the risk to come in anyways. After actually talking with him in person it changed my mind some, realized it was just miscommunication.This was Saturday around 4 when we dropped the drive shaft off, he got up at 5am Sunday to have it repaired by 10am that day. So not only did it save us good money from not having to buy a new one, it saved us 1000s that week for not having the truck down.The guy is a mad scientist of driveshafts and obviously has our business from now on. Thanks!!

Had to have a drive shaft repaired used a shop in Mesquite sad to say waste of money.Had it reinspected and a complete rebuild was needed.I read a lot of reviews on this shop all were good and I understand why. I’ll never use another place.ThanksRoger G

Excellent shop. We used this place once before years ago and both times the pricing was great and the work was done fast and right. He knows his stuff and I like that he shows you the broken parts and explains well what the issues were. Truck is running nice and smooth again.

They got me right but it took like 4 days! Yea, I recommend them still.

I dropped off driveshaft to literally have 3/4 of inch took out and balance it. I dropped off at Wednesday 8:30 am now it’s Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm. I called every 24 hours. Just to check how it was coming. Trust me never again will I come to this place.

Very poor customer service. The owner David wouldn’t give me the time of day. I ended up going to a competitor and won’t return to Driveshaft King. I go to these guys for all the difficult and simple stuff. Still an old school shop with an old school work ethic. I put alot of cars together and wont use anyone but these guys. Also they have a fish tank in the office, true.

Going to give this 5 stars, I just dropped off my drive shaft to who I believe was the owner. Super nice guy and very honest. Told me that getting work done might not fix my issue that Im seeing and it could be my tires. Since the factory units have 200k miles I decided to do the maintenance anyways and he was more than happy and again reassured me that might not fix anything which I am totally ok with. Piece of mind knowing my ujoints and drive shaft are good and balanced.Several friends and family members recommended me to this place and although I dont have my parts back yet I have a relaxed feeling and sense of trust with them already. Its hard to find a place like this so Im looking forward to seeing the end results.Guy I spoke with also told me to come.back and he would help me track down my issue but that its likely the at tires and wheels causing my issue.AGAIN, STILL VERY PLEASED!!!!

Great experience!!! I pulled my two piece drive shaft out of my 1966 Chevy C10. I could not break the yoke free to remove carrier bearing, which needed replaced. Brought it to David at 9:00 AM. He put in 3 new U-Joint, replaced carrier bearing, and balanced it. I picked it back up at 5:00 PM the same day. Great service!!!

Listen to there advice cause he knows what hes talking about, they fixed me up when others turned me away cause of my aluminum shaft, at an affordable price. Had a drive shaft in my Dodge ram 2500 vibrating after I put in u joints. I was very frustrated and couldnt figure out why. Took it in to this shop and got it fixed right the first time. (bent, poor u joint, and re-balanced). This is an old school shop with old school character. Owner is very personable and communicates with you very well.

If I can do 0 starts I will, I didnt even make it to the door and this guy was telling me that he will charge me $500 to rebuild my drive shaft rude guy, so I got it from amazon for $140 ship, I definitely not return to that place or referral this place

They did an awesome job building me a driveshaft using a good but too long junk yard driveshaft and moved the slip yoke over from my damaged one. Cut to correct size, new u joints, welded and balanced. Couldnt be happier.

Had these guys replace u-joints on two drive shafts, as well as balance and straighten them. Fair price and good work. You need to watch them straighten and balance a drive shaft to really appreciate what it takes.

Good place to get your cv boots replaced. Decent price. Brought my 2008 Mercedes R350 in last August and they took about 2 hrs and sent me on my way. 9 months later i noticed a leak in same area and went back. It was out of warranty but he tightened up the work free of charge. I will be back with the rest of my vehicles.

David was really nice and spent the time to explain what was wrong with my shaft. After the repair no more driveline shaking.

You will have to clear your schedule if you want to do business with these guys. Rather than take 30 seconds to write down your name so you can drop off your shaft and leave he will make you wait 45 minutes.

Although I have not done business with this shop I called to see what the problem could be and he wasnt acting like Most shops where they constantly say I dont know you would have to bring it in in order for us to look at it and then of course charge you an outrageous amount to look at it this guy gave me advice over the phone and told me other problems that it could be before I start spending money and going through the hassle taking out the drive shaft and bringing it to him I really appreciate that and I would be more than happy to do business with this company

Been chasing a vibration in my SUV for a while.... Then I noticed when backing up a squeak started. removed my rear drive shaft, found the rear u joint seized. Took my drive shaft to them. Had both u joints replaced, drive shaft straghtned, and rebalaced. I am now very happy with the ride of my SUV. I have used them before and will again when I need to. Work has been done same day for me both times Ive used these guys. Great job.

I took a driveshaft here for a new yoke and balance. The yoke was fine but they really messed up the balance. I took it to another shop and it was so out of balance it was off the meter at 1/2 speed. Not impressed with the service or quality of work.

I have been doing business with DK for over 15 years. Never once have they ever given an accurate quote. David loves to call back after the fact to increase the cost of the job by sometimes double. Horrible business practices.

Took motor home in thinking I had a carrier bearing out. Looked it over and said his men lifted the rear up and it was the rear ended. Ready to gave rearend rebuilt and was told it’s just a carrier bearing. I thought drive lines are their business. Go to Fort Worth.

I’ve been having issues with my suv for the last week took to 3 different mechanics that kept telling my whole driveshaft was bad, rack & pinions change the driveshaft and replace the rack and pinions and still my vehicle would shake and do this humming noise . Spent all morning looking for a shop that can fix the problem and stumbled into the driveshaft king. David with upfront explain to me what was wrong with it not the driveshaft but the u-joints were bad. All needs to balance it. No more shaking or humming noise . Thank you David !

Ok so Im a 15 year mechanic, and I needed my drive shaft to be balanced, thats all. When I called this place to get a price for the job, he like automatically knew what was wrong with my shaft, I was like, wait a minute, how can someone know whats wrong with a part over the phone, RIGHT? well before I took my shaft to this place I inspected my drive shaft carefully and found nothing else wrong with drive shaft, so I knew all it needed was a balance. To make a long story short, I got charged for parts that didnt seem to have been replaced and balance was still off, when I called him to discuss, he said it wasnt shaft, that it was probably a transmission mount, so again, he assumed he knew what was wrong with out looking at my car over the phone. Transmission mounts are new, my rear subframe bushings are in excellent shape. I dont recommend this place for drive shaft service, Im sorry David, you did a poor job on my drive shaft. “UPDATE” ok so I was forced to buy a new drive shaft, but before I bought the drive shaft I made sure it was balanced and ready for install, I installed it and I was sure glad to feel the difference, smooth ride man, so you see David it’s important to be honest to first time customers so you won’t get blasted on bro, I think you just wanted to milk me for my hard earned money, come on now, thanks for reading.

This is what I call a dying breed mechanic shop. Very honest people, dont try to sell you something you dont need & possibly the best price you can find for all parts & labor.

David and his staff manufactured a quick disconnecting driveshaft for our 4x4 Xterra, and it completely solved the towable problem we had with not being able to tow it behind our motorhome. Great work and really solid and strong engineering. I highly recommend Driveshaft King in Dallas for solving TOAD issues on vehicles not designed to be towed.Six month update: with over 6,000 tow miles now the driveshaft disconnect system is Rock solid! No trouble at all. Ill update at the annual.

Took my truck in as I thought that it needed a driveshaft center support bearing. Came in Fri morning and they took it in right away. After looking over the drivetrain they told me that it was in good shape and that I had a missing leaf spring insert which was likely the cause of the noise that was bothering me.They dont have this part and advised that I get it from the dealer or junkyard or spring shop.No charge at all for the diagnosis, despite the fact that 2 of them looked it over for 15 minutes or so. They only asked that I think of them when I need driveline work in the future. I definitely will do so.

One of the employees is disgruntled.Bring in my driveshaft to have it fixed, had to wait 5 days to pick it up, pay for it and hear a couple one sided bigoted jokes...... I dont think Ill be coming back if thats the way this person feels about other people.......

Although this is place where they fix drive shafts they also do mechanic work as well I had an issue I wad concerned with a clunking noise for about a year no-one could find it not even the dealership and just guessing at what it might be so giving up on everyone I decided to take it to drive shaft king and they found out what it was the problem after 1 yr and lots of other mechanics Bronco had worked on my car and they put the control arm backwards they had also checked it out several times they did not find any problem I will be letting drive shaft king work on my vehicle again
