I highly recommend Open to Public. I seldom give 5 stars but this rating is certainly well deserved. I called the store to see if they had a motor for my AC unit. I talked to Chrystal on the call and brought in the old motor. She tested it and confirmed it was shot. She then installed the new motor on the lid that I brought in while helping others and answering questions along the way. I cant tell you the last time Ive had customer service that was this good. Thanks Chrystal. The unit is up and running fine.

I called to check for a part close to closing time, arrived a few minutes before and they took the time to explain the difference between the replacement and the OEM wiring on the fan motor I needed, cut the drive shaft down for me, and generally made sure I had no questions before leaving... All this on a Saturday, after they had shut the neon lights off. I cant thank them enough, I will always use them from now on and recommend you do also. Great customer service! Sonya diagnosed my condenser motor problem, and Crystal executed the motor replacement - wires, housing, fab blade - at no extra cost. Everyone was friendly. And I learned that lizards love capacitors. Good place to go while some other stores require a contractors license to purchase parts.

Very, very helpful people! Chester and Matt went above and beyond to make sure I got the correct condenser motor for my A/C unit. They cut the shaft to the correct length and even put terminal connectors on the wires. Highly recommend!

I love this place! Every time I go in they always offer extra help. Each one does. They want to be sure what they are selling me fixes my problem. Im a pretty good troubleshooter but they check my logic and part too just to be sure. I see them give all their customers this free expert support. I see them sharing their knowledge to any customer regardless of customers knowledge. That is the best Ive seen anywhere. Their prices are very competitive. Way better than those other stores. I think Ill do all my HVAC purchases with them.

The sheer number of positive reviews can seem suspect...But I had the same experience here as everyone else. Chrystal was beyond knowledgeable/helpful. I wish I would have found this place years ago. The prices are comparable, to what I found online, but the service and support is worth any variance there.

Great service from start to finish! I called in with questions on my nonfunctioning HVAC unit and the staff was able to quickly troubleshoot my issues and find the right capacitor for my HVAC unit. They even wrote out how to reconnect the wires for me! Huge help I couldn’t be more pleased. I had a problem with a blower unit in my AC I brought in the entire housing and Mathew proceeded to completely rebuild it for me with great detail and explanation along the way. I needed this really hard to find access panel I kept calling HVAC people and no one would tell me anything about where to get one went to another place that did coming supplies and they told me about this place. They knew exactly what I was talking about and I can get it for me in 2 days. Awesome.

When my HVAC blower motor went out day before Easter Eve, at 5pm Friday Chrystal answered and checked and double checked and found something that would work. Because they were closing in less than an hour and I was over an hour away Chrystal and Matt took payment over the phone then said theyd place in a hidden location so I could grab it and have AC for Easter. After driving over an hour I arrived and to much my surprise! Both greeted me at the door as they were awaiting my arrival nearly an hour after scheduled close. Not only did they trim to shaft to the correct size they provided hand written wiring diagrams on how to wire this new motor into my really old system! Worth every dollar and every extra minute of driving ! Thank You Both!

Great place for HVAC parts - very helpful staff and great inventory - had a hard-to-find part for a 15 year old system. Answered the phone with great service and I was in and out in less than 3 minutes - so glad to know that they are here in DFW!

I had an issue with the AC fan humming and not blowing air. I took the motor and capacitor in and they took the time to test both. They were even nice enough to make sure the new motor would wire up correctly with my unit. The service I received was outstanding.

Fantastic people and customer service. I needed a capacitor and they had it in stock. Even before a tech would have arrived, I had the unit fixed and at a much lower cost.

Always been able to find what I need for my AC. They give great advice and are knowable. I am a handy guy so with their help and me doing the work myself I save a bunch of money. I have going here for years, back when they used to have the same name as their parent company Air Force One Air Conditioning.

What an great shop. It has been some time since I have experienced the level of service that I received here. Needed a new condenser motor and capacitor. From memory, Matt (i think) tweaked the motor to fit my specific unit and walked me through the wiring. I was impressed by their knowledge and service.Great establishment and saved me big bucks from paying an AC repairman. I hope to not have to go back but definitely will for all future needs.

This business is awesome! Matt was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. My mother was quoted $750 by a local HVAC company to replace the draft inducer motor on her furnace. I stoped by Open to Public HVAC Parts and they sold me the entire assembly for $150. Took me 20 minutes to install it, and now her furnace is a working great again. Thanks guys!!!

I bought a capacitor for our AC that went out on Labor day. When I went in they tried to find the least expensive solution for me. After I put the capacitor on the ac worked until the fan kicked off. When it tried to cycle back on the fan did not come on. I called the shop and they walked me through the troubleshooting process. It turned out to be a wire that was pulled off of the contact (my theory is the wire was too close to the fan and the fan pulled the wire out off the contact). Whoever the gentleman was that helped me stayed on the phone for at least 10 mins trying to explain to me where the wire was suppose to go. The service level at Open to Public is on a whole other level. They are genuinely happy to assist. It is like having a friend in the HVAC business. Our AC is working again and I saved a few hundred dollars on a service call.

Needed a replacement condenser motor for my Trane unit. None of the other AC supply houses either carried the part or won’t sell to the public. They also told me if I got the part, I wouldn’t be able to install it. Not here! Very friendly and helpful. Even drew me a diagram. Got the part, installed in an hour. AC back up and cooling!

Went for a condenser fan relay. the staff were very very helpful. the kind of help that in a normal and stuffy (the normal places where your not a TACL# they kick you out without the goods) place I have never seen. small inventory on hand but was so helpful that it was obviously just small to keep costs low for the customers. They sold me 2 relays, and from now on, they are going to be the first place I call when i need parts, even though its an hour drive to get them. underdogs in my opinion, and I cannot say enough here to promote them. Give them a shot.

Like Electrical and Plumbing, HVAC is a protected trade that aggressively protects its own. Its a field that requires a lot of study and knowledge. Its also a physically difficult job to do. Because of this, the best tend to oversee rather than do. In North Texas, Its hard to find installers and service techs that truly understand the theory and complexities of the entire process.I truly appreciate OTP-HVAC for their knowledge and willingness the deal with the general public. Not every DIY practitioner is a hack and OTP recognize that.

Fantastic customer service. The type of customer service I am willing to pay a little extra for. New capacitor and condenser fan motor work flawlessly.

Considering you can not ac parts everywhere unless your a contractor this place is not to bad. The prices here are 3X more than what a contractor at goodman would pay but are you a contractor? The staff here is knowledgeable and friendly the best deal I saw was there monster energy drinks price. Also free coffee is not that bad although I passed. Open to public defines the reason for why you should stop in for your HVAC and furnace needs.

Folks did a great job getting me the right control board to replace my failed one. I was back up and running quickly without having to call a HVAC company to send someone out. Very helpful in walking me through the part and the install.

After being told that the fan on my 30 year old Trane had failed and it may be too old to get a replacement, I contacted Open To Public and they told me to bring the fan in, still attached to the grill. They tested it, told me that it was drawing too much amps, recommended a replacement capacitor and contacts, and then fitted an exact replacement motor to the grill for me, and tested that. All in, $208, compared to the $750-$950 quotes that I had. OTP didnt charge me anything for labor. They also offered to help me source a missing shroud for the fan. Very friendly and knowledgable people. I would have no hesitation in recommending OTP.
