This place has the best coffee! So good. I always order the strawberry pancake combo which has eggs your way and either bacon or sausage and I believe 2 or 3 pancakes.. they have other options as well. Atmosphere is good and people who work there are very nice.
Great service, great food. Old diner style with some cool movie posters on the wall. Eggs Benedict was delish, and the corn beef hash was good too, get it crispy! The waiter, Christian was very genuinely pleasant and personable, which I find rare lately. Great experience, and I didnt even dine in. I got take out.
Best Breakfast ever! Loved the Omelet, Hash Browns and Coffee. Never let my coffee get empty. And on a Sunday morning they were very busy. Definitely worth waiting for. Highly recommend this family owned restaurant. Can I rate you 6 Stars? My 12 yr old son wanted a Cheeseburger for Breakfast, so yes they will serve that as well. Wow, what a cheeseburger. My Son claims it’s the Best he’s ever had!
I love this place. We enjoy our weekend brunch at this coffee shop. The premises are clean and the host is very warm and checks on you frequently. And Yes, the food is really good - fresh, organic, tasty. Portions are good as well.
Friendly place. And a great Monte Christo sandwich
Maricella is great. Food is delicious.
I placed an order on line at RoundTable Pizza it said pickup time was 6:10 PM . Once again I had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. They need more staff, only had 2 people working. smh
So so good, great service, very nice portions, fast! Excellent prices! Super friendly! They are open now for dine in! Very clean as well!
The place offers a great variety of fresh food. I like eating here. Staff members are always very nice, prices are affordable and the place is always kept clean.
1st time there, excellent service, great food and hot coffee. From Modesto, worth the drive.
We had the Joes special with hash browns and Mini combo #1 (pancake with bacon and egg). Every single item was cooked perfectly, and the bacon is worth a special mention!! Loved the scrambled egg with spinach and minced beef, and the hash brown and toast were excellent. The service is fast, friendly and very attentive, refilling our coffees without us even having to ask for it. This diner hit all the right spots, highly recommend!!
I usually go fore breakfast here, everything was good until today I took my family there and today was bad service, I order steak and eggs the steak was fishy and I order well don scrambled they give me over medium egg everything was fishy, we spend more than one hundred, all our order was bad,
Food is good great costumer service restaurant its extremely clean inside and out
Cute diner with a great breakfast.
Limited menu, but the food is good. It was located in the Westlake Shopping Center for almost 60 years, but the corporate landlord wanted so much more $$$ that the owners could not renew their lease. Damn shame - their business at the new location lacks foot traffic.
Opened for dine in again with diner type breakfasts and lunches. The food was good and the tables were separated by a safe distance. It was comfort food cooked well but nothing special. Service is fine.
Sweetest waitress, simple and delicious breakfast plates.
We were visiting from out of town and were looking for a local place - we found this no fuss, classic American diner. Very friendly staff and great prices. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals here!
My wife and I love this place. Who likes to drink coffee - also recommend visiting this place. Always fresh and very tasty coffee. Very invigorating in the morning before a hard days work. Delicious and fresh buns can also be bought here. The staff is quick and caring I think that it should be so in San Francisco
My family and I went here for a nice light lunch and we loved it! The staff is great and the posters of classic movies are adorable. If you like shrimp I recommend theirs. If your a tea lover they have many different teas to choose from so that was really nice to have.
The service was great, but the breakfast was mediocre. We had French toast and pancakes, both of which were only just OK. The scrambled eggs were cooked well, but honestly could have used a little salt and or pepper. Same for eggs over easy. The bacon was good, but it arrived undercooked instead of crispy which is what we asked for. The sausage was also good.It was surprising how disappointing our two breakfasts were based on the google reviews. Nothing was either very good or outstanding.
Food is always good and its a clean place. The waitress, I believe Maria is her name, is wonderful energy
Theyve just doubled their prices from the website menu (I guess the rent went up on Junipero Serra in DC). The bacon cheeseburger is now $12. However, the food is very good. Theres always room, but call ahead to check prices against your budget.
It is a very cute cafe with a very nice staff, it is not however, a coffee shop, which is why it only gets three stars. The name of the cafe is kind of a lie. Decent chocolate shake.
The original location of Westlake Coffee Shop used to be near the Westlake Library until the business temporarily shut down for a few years back in the early 2000s. Then, Westlake Coffee Shop relocated near Century Theater where theres more foot traffic. When Westlake Coffee Shop used to be located in Westlake itself, I was a student at OLM. I would stop by almost everyday after school for a bite to eat or do my homework. The waitresses didnt mind and were very hospitable. Flash forward and now Westlake Coffee Shop moved to a different part of Daly City where there are better parking options. Waitresses have changed obviously, but that 50s vibe remained.I enjoy coming here on Sunday mornings for breakfast. I often order their Westlake Special with hash browns. Ive tried their burgers, which are pretty dry. Ive also tried their omelettes, which are very filling. Decently priced meals. Friendly management. You can even order take out if you dont want to dine in. Overall, nice place to have breakfast or lunch until they close at 3pm.
Classic coffee shop with great breakfast options served all day. I had a hot dog, large, well cooked on toasted bun and hot French fries. A great neighborhood hangout
The breakfast is ok. Their sausage and bacon has absolutely no flavor, but everything else is good. Decently priced.. I only come here when my regular place is closed on tuesdays.
The food was not bad, but nothing special either. Parking is free, which is really important in this area. The service was slower compared to other coffee shops, and it seemed to me that the waitress could not wait for her shift to just end (we were there around 10 a.m.)
Food was very good. Coffee was poor and $3 each. Ouch! Place was clean but plain and needs updates. Service was slow for us being first customers of the morning on a weekday. Recommend for a no frills good meal.
Some glassware came out dirty, food was mediocre, felt sick afterwards. Could be nice if food and cleanliness were improved. Seemed severely understaffed, but server was very nice nonetheless.
Very clean small cafe. Good location near a parking structure. Also next to movie theatre. We had breakfast and it was great. Very friendly service.
Nice Quite Family Like place. With Simple Diner Food they serve Breaksfast, Lunch n Dinner..Service was Friendly Like Family..able to sit n read..or have conversation.. parking lot with free parking..is also a plus. Its next to the Centurys Movie Theaters..so a bite before the movies..
The f ett is were warm and soft and the burger was Devine with the crispy bacon.... but could make the bacon a little bit softer to crispy.
This used to be our go to spot for Sunday morning breakfast. Once while there with a group of 10-12, we were asked to leave, after eating while still drinking coffee and talking. We had not return for about a year but decided to give them another try. Food quality not as good as we remembered. We will not make this mistake again.
Easy and casual environment, typical diner food. Coffee aint half bad either. Plus they take Amex which is nice
Nice little diner style coffee stop. Serving very good food, with a very hospitable owner expressing a ready smile and great response.
How this is rated a 4.2 is beyond me. If you enjoy toast that is not toasted, or love potatoes that are virtually raw, bacon that is so well done (didnt ask for it to be well or crisp) that is like a board and service that is just blah then this is your place. $30 bucks for garbage.
This is a nice place for a small family meal. Service is great and they do hold a conversation pretty well. It feels like you are eating at your aunts place.
Super cute breakfast/lunch spot. Felt very clean & friendly. Im not a local but I will dedinelty be back♡
They do all the American style breakfast standards well. Its not fancy but the coffee is fresh, hot and plentiful.
Wonderful, kind service with a slight retro (80s) vibe
Friendly service and yummy BLT. What more could I ask for?
Sort of and old timey coffee shop like you would run into in the late 60s 70s. The Waitresses still wear uniforms, probably from the same era. The menu is light and what you would expect in such a diner, nothing fabulous, but just what you would expect… a bite to eat. Although they have change locations from their former slot at the Westlake Shopping Center, their new place is clean and bright.
Happy. ☆
Liked it there because my boyfriend introduce me to those manager and so on its like there family.
I enjoyed my veggie omelet and I love the restaurant theme. My date was disappointed with his ribeye steak (too chewy) and that his veggies were frozen, not fresh. Staff, owners very nice and I plan to return, without my date.
Good service.. Great food
Limited menu, but the food is good. It was located in the Westlake Shopping Center for almost 60 years, but the corporate landlord wanted so much more $$$ that the owners could not renew their lease. Damn shame - their business at the new location lacks foot traffic. Service is always good and the place is spotless.
Nice old style coffee shop/diner. Convenient for dinner before a movie at the neighboring theater.
We had breakfast here and it was very good. They had a great selection and the staff was very friendly.
Great customer service and enjoyed my time there!
Simple breakfast food. Good portions.
The food was mediocre, my hashbrowns tasted like fish. The bacon was hard. The lemonade tasted like orange juice. The only redeeming quality would be the service provided. Our waitress was lovely. Didnt catch her name unfortunately, but she was wonderful.
Friendly, attentive & efficient waiters. Food was good, prices are reasonable. Free parking.
Place is nice, servers too, clean, although price is not worth for what you receive.
Good food and prices. Excellent service
Always fast service, friendly staff, and food is great. Since its a smaller location, sometimes it can fill up because its a good place to have a relaxed breakfast.
Well prepared food but very plain
I had a pretty decent corned beef hash breakfast here. Also, their coffee is good.
Just a simple cafe...Good eats & nice people.
Good, solid coffee shop. Exactly as you expectUpdate: great delivery food too
Very friendly services, food was very good
Good for quick bite and have a meeting. Free parking.
Amazing food w/great service :)
Diner, not a coffee shop. Staff acted a little rude at us only purchasing coffee/fruit, remarking how little we ordered.
Great price, fast service, kind of bland, flies ate more than i did, landed in my hot cocoa, omelette, toast, and potato salad. Wont be coming back, at least not planning to. But i would eat here again if i happened by and they were giving away free bjs
Love this place ... its closes to early tho ... i would come here more ofter ... best french dip and egg benedict
Nice place for a diner food and the staff gives consistently good service.
Horrible to go service. Couldnt even enjoy my food. The bacon wasnt even thoroughly cooked. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Maybe the dine in service is better but the to go was disgusting.
Decent food in a coffee shop.
Nice clean place the prices were really low and the food was decent
Quick...easy...parking structure...inexpensive...Winnie always takes care of us
Poor customer service. Pancakes are dry, Sauces tastes so expired, Potatoes not well boiled, and utensils not well cleaned. 😤
I enjoyed coming here almost everyday for big breakfast at a good price. Conveniently located next to a Bart station.
This place has great, friendly service, and the food is pretty good, too.
Decide in advance whether its worth it to you to stand in a bakery line for 45 minutes. The upside – out-of-towers get to meet interesting locals. Everything we had was excellent--croissants, breakfast rolls, bread pudding, pain au jambon--but be prepared to bring it elsewhere as seating is skimpy.
Service was great but the food suck
One of my favorite places
Great Service, high prices, ok coffee
Yummy and staff very friendly.
A really great place to have breakfast
Good food, friendly staff and convenient location
Good food good service
Food - a little better than average American diner food.Service - I was looking for a place to sit, read, and drink coffee. Although they were never rude or pushy, I could tell I was not their favorite customer.Overall - decent joint but not for me.
Great service, I always sit at the counter.
Great locomoco ate it in 2 mins
Classic 50s interior (without being campy or forced), friendly wait staff whom weve known for years. Arrive well before closing -- they lock one of their doors and turn their OPEN sign around a half hour early!
Great old school grill.
Great staff and wonderful food! veggie omelet with swiss is a must
Went here for a date. Drinks were good :)
Good breakfast place.
Coffee is good. Food sucks.
Clean and courteous
Food is just as amazing as the service!!!!
Left 20 seniors out in the cold Tried to extort money from us.
