Walked in today. Just looking to get into bicycling, the sales rep. was understanding and educational. At no time did we feel pressured or rushed. So many businesses will try and push you into something just to make a sale. The rep here truly seemed interested in helping us find the right fit, not just making a quick sale. Refreshing experience, would recommend to family and friends.

Service and attitudes were horrible. Too bad because Ive bought bikes here before and had previously thought was a good place. Can live with nothing being done after waiting 2 weeks (they said 3-5 days), can even deal with no phone call to update....but the complete indifference and arrogant attitude when I stopped by to find out what was happening, YIKES.

Awesome service, was halfway through a ride from LA to San Diego and passing through Dana Point when I had a serious issue with my front derailleur. Fortunately I found this shop online and asked if they could do a quick fix. They were incredibly helpful and took 20 minutes out of their already busy day to re-install the derailleur so I could finish my ride down the coast without a further hitch. Big shout out to Brian who had a lot of great advice for the rest of our route and how to get the wonky derailleur fixed long term.

This place used to be great and have wonderful customer service but this last time I went to them, they shut me down and didn’t want to help with a minor bike issue. Not sure what is going on and maybe they were having a bad day, but their customer service was off putting .

Tldr: failure on a very basic procedure on a very expensive equipment.A year ago they changed the oil of my Pinion C1.12. They were very nice. Today I did it myself since the procedure its extremely symple and the only reason I didnt do it myself was because of lack of time. So I just changed the oil in my bike, and to my surprise I had to take out double the amount of oil that should be in there (120ml instead of 60ml), so basically it looks like last year they just added the oil without removing the old one. Not the care I expect in my $3000 gearbox. Hopefully since I did not ride too many miles on the bike there is no long term damage.Maybe they tried to take the oil with the bike tilted? I cannot believe how such a simple procedure could be done wrong. I wanna think that they missed something basic and not that they tried to save 5 minutes. Either way is a pretty bad mistake on such expensive equipment.

Nice shop located conveniently off Pacific Coast Highway. The staff is friendly and working very hard to accommodate everyone, especially throughout this pandemic. Due to COVID-19, the store is setup where you want to do most of your shopping from the door but the staff is more than happy to help with anything. They are OVERWHELMED during this time so please, remember to be patient when dealing with them. It’s hard for small businesses right now and we are lucky to have such a nice shop here in Dana Point! Thank you Cycleogical, I’m so happy you carry too brands like Pivot, Intense, and Santa Cruz- I look forward to shredding on my new Pivot Switchblade!

Great bike shop! Friendly and fast! I used to get the cheap tunebup at the big box store I bought it from and ALWAYS had problems with it. When I brought it in to this place my brake wouldnt even move. They fixed it earlier expected only took a few days (which was really fast for how busy they are right now). My bike rides better now than it ever has before!! They were awesome, I will definitely go back!! Thank you so much, I can finally get to the beach!!

Have only been here twice but each time was a great experience. Went in yesterday just to get a new tube for my front tire. I was unaware they had limited service hours due to the COVID situation and would have completely understood if they told me they could not swap the tube for me at the time. However, Ming overheard me talking and said he would do it for me real quick. Before I could even pay, Ming took my wheel and had it back to me in less than 5 minutes. Even more so I do not believe they charged me for the service, just the tube.Yes I may have stood there for an extra few minutes while the gentleman behind the counter was talking to another customer and a colleague. Who cares though? This is a sign of a great local shop with connections to the community. I will be taking my bike here any time I need anything.

Best bike shop around... Even though theyre SLAMMED right now, and everyone has a bad day now and then, the mechanics here are consistently SOLID. Shaun is THE MAN helping with quick fixes, great customer service.

Very friendly staff. Brian adjusted my gears quickly and didnt even charge me for the quick fix. They will be my go to bike shop for all my elite and mountain bike needs!

Super Customer Service!! Chris, the teacher answered the phone, he was kind and answered my questions. He let me know because of Covid my bike may not get fixed, but to come to the shop and see what could be done.My bike was damaged in a car accident, Chris sent me to Meng the bike mechanic. Meng is a talented mechanic. He worked on my bike trying to unbend my rims...worked with the chain and looked for damage..possible cracks in the frame from the accident. He was doing his best with my bike with hopes I could still ride it while on my vacation. He cited the areas of concern and detailed the damage. Meng was honest with me about how the bike may ride. He said If I had any more issues with the bike to please let him know and would do what he could do to help.Brian, the service manager was super helpful and friendly too! I needed to have documentation and clarification about my bike damages. Even though he was swamped with several customers at the time of my phone call, he took the time to listen to my concerns. He provided me good insight and gave me suggestions of what needed to be done to expedite my situation.Thank you Cycleogical for EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I APPRECIATE you Meng... Ok, it’s Friday afternoon. My wife and I ride down to Doheny on my ebike. Out of no where I get a flat front tire. I call the shop. Explain I have my wife on the bike with me. They tell me to bring it up right away and they will work me in. BOOM! They put new tube in tire and I’m out of there in less than 30 minutes. They were busy but friendly, helpful and reasonable. This was my second visit. Would highly recommend this place. Five stars all the way!Roger&Linda

I was very unhappy with the service. I waited in line for my wife and 2 kids for 30 minutes. We came to purchase a bike for my wife. The saleswoman passed by us many times, even a few times with her dog and never acknowledged us. Keep in mind we were next in line. A man and his wife came after us with their bikes. When a worker asked how he could help, the other person shouted I just need to drop off some bikes for tune up. Our salesperson who had started with us left us and went to the man. We never saw him again. Later a nice young man asked to help us, only to find out we were in the service line, not sales. For sales, walk next door and talk to Melissa. The same lady who walked by us many times before. She then started helping another couple so we finally just had it and left. Anyone with toddlers knows the extra headache that came with the wait.

Best bike shop in South County. Staff is always friendly and helpful. They know their trade and excel at it. Always willing to solve problems and provide top level customer service. The owner is down to earth and an all around cool guy that is passionate about cycling and helping people get out on the ride of their dreams. Highly recommended.

Although primarily a mountain bike shop, the service department is very knowledgeable, and works on mountain bikes, road bikes, and even recumbents. They do excellent service work, the prices are very reasonable, and the staff is friendly. No attitude here; youll enjoy your visit.

Walked in there with money in hand to buy a bike having just sold mine. Guy behind the counter greeted me, but then continued to tell stories with his friend. Never asked me what I wanted, or if he could help, he was more interested in his buddys story I guess. I walked out and went to The Path, where they actually talked to me.

Brought in my mountain bike earlier this year, and just now getting around to dropping a quick review. My gear changes were no longer smooth (or possible in some cases). Bill set me up with new gear/sprocket/crank and chain set at a price below what I had expected. Bike rides like new now. I highly recommend Bill and the Cycleogical crew!

I rented a road bike from these guys on a recent trip to Dana Point for a conference. Kai and Miles were super helpful and the process was smooth. I’ve never rented a bike before, and they made it easy. I rented the bike for about 2 hours and they didn’t charge me the full day rate, which meant a lot. When you call to tell them you’re coming, make sure they’ll have a helmet, the right pedals if you clip in (bring your shoes), and parking available. There was a little community festival the day I was there and the parking spots outside the shop were blocked off - by some miracle I found a parking spot, but it’s good to ask ahead of time.

Had a minor tune up, new tube and chain replaced. Out the door for under $100. Knowledgeable staff, great vibe and service. I didnt realize how crappy my bike was riding until I got the tune up... you may need a tune up also, just saying.

While on vacation from Canada, I called Cycleogical on short notice and they were able to find a way to fit a mountain bike tour into my tight schedule. The guys at the shop took some time a few days before the ride to make sure my bike (a nice carbon fiber Salsa 29er) was set up properly for me. I had brought a few essentials such as shoes, shorts and gloves with me, but Jeff was able to set me up with whatever else I needed to be comfortable and hydrated on the ride. I consider myself to be an intermediate rider and I was most impressed at how Jeff put in extra effort to learn my abilities and listen to what I hoped to see on the ride. He also made sure that I had time to get used to the bike and we were able to make minor adjustments and dial in the way it fit me before we hit the really fun trails. The view of the snow capped mountains and the ocean from the top of the world was spectacular and it was great riding among the rocks, sand and cactuses of Orange County. The trails themselves were amazing and were quite different from what I was used to at home...riding them was a perfect balance of experiencing something new, being pushed out of my comfort zone and feeling in control at the same time.I would recommend this bike shop to anyone who is in the area. They take service to a new level and everyone I met at the shop or talked to on the phone seemed like someone I would be happy to have riding with me back at home...thanks again for creating a lifelong memory.

Truly a family bike shop. They were the 8th place I called to get a press fit bottom bracket and they had it!! Saved the weekend - Thanks guys. Prices better than internet. Brands are a little boutique, which is what I like when you want something legit and different.
