While the staff tried to be helpful they didnt have a wide selection. The store needs to be updated with latest releases or popular books. There is still people who actually want to read a physical book. I went to a different location in White Plains, NY and they had every book I wanted. The staff seem like they wanted to help but feel there was no real effort outside of we dont have it.

Barnes &Noble was good, their environment was clean. I saw many interesting corners, also books and toys. The service was good. They take time out to help you get what you want. Nice rest room. Base on what I saw all costumers are treated as costumers. That is a good sign. There were also special prices at the entrance for books. It was bad, I got what I went for. Nice place. Servers are very nice as well.

My go-to when I’m looking for a specific book or just in the mood to browse for something completely new.

I did not enjoy my experience at this location. I was asked to show an identification to receive my teacher discount after providing my telephone number. I have visited other Barnes and Noble locations and I have never been asked to verify twice to receive my discount. My two year old son and I were also followed by a store employee. I can tell only certain people are trusted to view books at this location. I will not go back to this location.

A favororite place! Always something new to explore and friendly staff members that genuinely seem to be enjoying their time in this book (& toy & game & stationary & more) shop as well. :-) Easy & plentiful parking.

Good selection of books for multiple genres. I was able to find a random book I had been looking for awhile with the help of very friendly staff. The only thing this location is lacking is a wider selection of vinyls and music choices that Ive seen at other barnes and nobles.

I made a purchase yesterday and I am very exited about the deal I got. I wanted to give them 5 star but couldnt. The only reason is the books are little pricey there unless you have a coupon or getting it from clearance. The books I purchased yesterday was 50% off. I got them for $5 each. The full price in Amazon was $20 each. So it made me really happy. What made me more happy is an employee named Robert. He went above and beyond to help me. He works really hard to make his customers happy.Very nice place. Stock is good but not as good as the other locations. Friendly staffs. Will definitely go back there again.

This Barnes and Noble had been in business a long time, and I have been going to it for a long time. The is a great selection and the staff is friendly. Public bathroom is great because I have spent hours here at a time.

Nice to have it open, but.But if you get down on the floor to look at merchandise on the bottom shelf someone will come by and snap, You cant sit on the floor -- and keep going. Not offer to help.Some people probably shouldnt work in retail.

It has always been a favorite of mine. The staff is terrific. Shelves are always stocked and up-to-date. And the people go more than the extra mile to help! An overall fantastic experience every time!!!!!

This is a good place to get books, however the Danbury store was not great with customer service. It took 5 minutes to find someone to help, and when I did the guys response was, I dont know. Im new.

No more places to browse and read, no more bargain table suspense or mystery books.

Their volume & variety of titles is great, but limited in some aspects. Their political slant on faced & titles/authors carried is offputting. (i.e. Pick a subject, if you have 5 books from one perspective, & one or none with alternative perspective, youre losing customers.) I should never know the political views of employees of the store I shop in. Shame on you Barnes & Noble for trying to shame or ignore your customers who disagree with your political & social views. Why not hire a politically diverse staff? It might give you a sensitivity that youre not even aware youre missing. Because of this I usually buy from Costco or Amazon. They dont care who I vote for when Im spending money.

I had the help of two of the nicest people today! I wish I remembered their names. One woman worked in the childrens books, and helped me find everything I was looking for. Another man cashed me out and made sure I was happy with everything and also made sure I was getting the best price on every book I purchased.

Barn and noble the store is in order, they have social distancing order, sanitizer at the door, clean environment and bathroom, someone you can ask questions, and books shelves are in order. Mask covering, nice shop. Books of all quality.

I love Barnes and Noble. This is a small store with no cafe. It is a dark and cramped. Ill take this store over nothing. However I wish corporate would consider giving the community a larger store with a cafe. I love B&N and this store just doesnt meet expectations for the brand.

The staff is helpful and the managers work very hard to assist so many customers. Almost everything is a bit pricey in comparison to finding the same items online. The best appeal to this location is meeting an intellectual crowd that likes to read. Wow!

I go there just to touch and feel books. New books are not within my reach. With Ebay and such I prefer to by second hand.But if you can afford it this is the book shop. Good helpful service can be expected.

Pretty good collection of books and comics. The only thing lacking really is their language section. Only saw books on Italian, english, spanish, korean and japanese. It would be nice if there were other langauge books.

Have come in 3 times looking for a specific crossword puzzle book and was told they have 1 coming in next week. One? I said wouldnt they be better off getting a few of them but they didnt agree.

This bookstore is well organized, has a good reputation, and is easy to find. Besides many books, they also sell some gift items and calendars. There are plenty of staff on duty to help. Some evenings they have poetry readings.

There were some good books from great authors, spacy for shopping, good reading books, good costumer service, nice parking place, my daughter bought seven books, nice shopping center for book store. There were many people doing shoping as well. Nice place.

Good location. Convenient and plenty of parking. Its not as big as some other locations but they still manage to have a great selection. They also offer a nice lineup of in-store events.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking, open a wise range of hours. Great selection of magazines and books. Always was a little higher priced than the other book stores, but now its the only one left.

All I wanted was to buy a book (even cowgirl get the blues) I did not find it but going something else by the same author in the section close to the register. After that i had to walk all the way back to the encyclopedia section to get on line. It was going to be at least a 20 minute wait. I put the book down and left as I walked by 3 empty cash registers with zero employees.I could off read the Damn book by the time I checked out.The store was well stocked and neat and orderly. The lay out made want to buy more stuff. But the mile long cashier line was deal breaker.Never bought a thing there. To much hassle.

A very extensive collection of magazines and novels for all ages and genres are available here. The excitement of going to a bookstore, browsing through different novels and buying can never be compared with buying online. I always prefer going to a bookstore.The gentleman who is at the cash desk at this bookstore is very nice and super awesome.Definitely visit this store if you live in Danbury.

Great place. I was looking for a Christmas gift for my grandson and was having a problem. A male employee came up to me and asked if we needed help. He took my husband and I to what we were looking for. Told us all about the book. He was so helpful. I wish I had his name.

I am so happy that this bookstore is still standing! Close to the mall and other shops, this location offers a good selection of books and other items, and the helpful and friendly staff are always available when you need them.

CDs are hidden -- because all their customers are criminals -- their sale prices arent real. Some employees are very helpful, others absolutely NOT. Lot of items in a small area, but not well organized.

Ive been going here for years and while they dont always carry what Im looking for they will order it for me. Today I was in the Danbury store with my daughter and wanted to know more about the membership. The cashier John M was not only helpful explaining everything but he was so pleasant, friendly with a nice sense of humor! It was so refreshing to get good costumer service! This sale associated is a keeper Barnes and noble!

Good old fashioned bookstore. Was looking for a item in particular, NFL Draft magazine, casually mentioning this to the man at the checkout. He said, I just put some out the other day. He left the cash register and showed me where the magazine was. Workers there are very knowledgeable for other things. B&N closed in Bay Plaza Bronx when I went to visit friends. I hope this one by the Christmas Tree Shop in the smaller Plaza next to Danbury Mall remains open. I acknowledge that Ive bought from Amazon but I love B&N and I purchase from there too. I just dont sit, read and walk away without a purchase. Its a wonderful store.

Will never go to that store again. I called for a book and they told me they had the book. They took my name number and I told them I was on my way for pick up. I get their and they refused the book to me. They had it reserved to someone else so tuff.

A dying breed but I will always prefer going to an actual store and read actual books. Call me old fashioned...

Very clean bathrooms. Old guy that greets you and follows you around the store is just doing his job, I’m sure. They often mislabel products and then blame it on the customers. They also like to make up different discounts for different people. There’s never anyone in the children’s department so by all means, let your little, ferocious beasts run amuck. No one will ever find out who knocked over the books in the “what kids are into now” section.
