Called in advance for a fudgie the whale cake. Guy was friendly on the phone. Went to pick up the cake and it was extremely sloppy. Skimped on the ice cream, didn’t cover the whole cake in fudge, whipped cream piping was something a kindergartner could do better. Fudge mess all over the tray and box. Nothing like what is advertised. Pure lazy, will not be supporting that establishment again. The one in Brewster, NY is much better.

Nasty man inside, yelled at us as soon as our feet literally passed the doorway, went out… got sprayed by a skunk. Go to New Fairfield, they have a wonderful ice cream store there. Trust me, it’s worth it!

False Advertisement!They’ve had a sign outside that claims they have mint soft serve but they haven’t had it for a month, just take the sign down. Owner also gives small portions and barley had any ice cream flavors left. (Lots of the ice cream tubs were empty)

This place is usually nice. Not great but nice. The last 2 times I went were just aggravating. It was hard for them to hear me the first time or maybe they just werent paying attention. Had to correct what toppings I wanted. Ask if spoons and napkins were in the bag was told yes and only had spoons. This time I went I lifted the corner of my mask so they can better hear all while my face was still covered. Was told I had to keep my mask on when it wasnt removed. Asked if napkins were in the bag and was told yes. Once again, just spoons and no napkins. Maybe they just say yes to hurry you out the store bc its only 2 ppl at a time and a line is outside. It would be nice if they could just say can you say that again please instead of just saying yes if it is actually due to not hearing you. I like going here out of convenience but seems ill just have to keep driving to german town for IL Baico.

Todd may be one of the nicest business owners Ive ever encountered. The product is always good and the service even better.

DISGUSTING!Dont eat here unless you want to get deathly ill. Owner doesnt wash his hands after using the restroom and serves ice cream without gloves. When he was dispensing my ice cream his finger was in the cup and got covered in ice cream. When I asked him for a new cup he immediately got defensive and told me if I didnt want that one I could get out of his store, so I did. Its not worth getting hepatitis or ecoli... Sorry pal

The random 2 times I have visited this location has always been filthy filthy filthy; from the floors, counters, windows, freezers to the owner himself. The soft serve machines are covered with dried ice cream and god knows what else and the scooped ice cream cases are disgusting and the ice cream looks old and like it should be disposed of. The owner is rude and acts as if he is doing you a favor selling his stale saucers and bonnets. The portions are smaller than other locations. With all the businesses struggling after this pandemic do yourself a favor and support another local ice cream shop where you can leave feeling good. I will NEVER go here again.

I wish there was a zero star option. I called asking if they had a cake that I wanted, and an extremely rude person said “no”, then hung up immediately, not waiting to see if I had further questions. When I called back, the person answered with an attitude that is definitely not fit for someone whose job LITERALLY REQUIRES you to speak to people. If there is one thing that gets on my nerves, it’s people that are rude. WONT BE GETTING MY BUSINESS, THATS FOR SURE. Horrible customer service. Carvel, when you hire your next employees, make sure they have good and welcoming personalities, because this person sure didn’t. Also your ice cream sucks.

Todd and Carissa took care to deliver great product, their son ... not so much. His attitude toward customers exudes contempt and arrogance for wasting his valuable time taking and fulfilling ice cream orders in a business he inherited, rather than perusing his unrealized dreams.

Definitely first and last time. I like carvel ice cream but this place I wouldnt recommend at all, ice cream cones are half way served I ordered 3 large cone and one small size he charged all as large size.

The owner is such a nice guy and truly cares about his guests. I love Carvel Ice cream cake! I order lots of cakes for parties and they are always ready on time and made with love. He is very accommodating when it comes to special orders and allergies. I definitely recommend this carvel.

The individual that served us shouldnt have been working as he was very unpleasant and dissatisfied with his job and we did not receive what we ordered and paid for. The milkshake didnt include the cookie and looked nothing like the advertisement. We enjoy Carvel but not going back to that location.

We bought pista flavour icecream it has only artificial essence flavour..other ice cream also not good.

Just moved to the area and was excited to find a Carvel close by. Before I moved I used to frequent my local Carvel often and always ordered two cups to go with some hot fudge on the side to go as well since I had to drive them home and didn’t want the ice cream to melt before I got there. When I asked for the same at this location I was told that they don’t sell the hot fudge separately (which in my personal experience has been untrue). I figured I’d suck it up and get it poured directly on the ice cream only to have it melt by the time I get home, but yet again I was told this was not possible because I ordered the Jr size and “sundaes” are only for Smalls and up. This makes absolutely no sense to me and I will not be going back. He could have charged me upwards of $2 for a tiny side of hot fudge and I would have paid, that’s how much i value the product. Unfortunately the service at this location could stand to have a little more value itself, because it doesn’t seem as though they value the wants of the customer all too much. First time I’ve ever heard of an ice cream shop denying the request for hot fudge in any capacity! So if you want hot fudge and don’t feel like ordering a Small size, don’t even bother coming to this location. Especially if you have kids because it appears as though if a child wants some hot fudge on their kids size they too would be out of luck.

The owner is rude and he teaches poor etiquette to his employees. Who says no you can’t get an extra cup of toppings for an additional charge??It’s always something when we go in. From the general lack of courtesy to the overall nasty looks... I can’t take it anymore I won’t be returning back to get ice cream there. #overit

Todd has remolded the store to be bright and cheery. The service and ice cream has always been great and needed no upgrade!

Carvel at North Street was amazing as usual! Great service from Todd (owner) and Carissa, and awesome ice cream of course!

If you have peanut/nut allergies STAY AWAY. Today my brother went to go get a cookies n cream milkshake and the owner took the spoon directly from the peanuts to scoop the Oreos. My brother is deathly allergic to peanuts and could have gone into anaphylactic shock because the owner was so careless. It states on the door that all percaustions are taken to avoid peanut contamination which is obviously a lie. If my brother had not caught the worker taking the peanut spoon and dipping it into the Oreos he could be in a hospital right now. Not only is this extremely disappointing that the OWNER would be too lazy to use a separate spoon, but also to risk the life of anyone with a severe nut/peanut allergy. Extremely horrified is an understatement.

My girlfriend likes going here, enough said.
