Thank you so much to Sara at Ice House for going above and beyond for my (tiny!) ice order. Excellent customer service is the least of it, she helped out a fellow human when this human needed some help and I’ll forever be grateful for the kindness she extended to me. 💚
My experience with the Ice House of Danbury has been completely positive. They are a great resource for people who live in Danbury and surrounding towns. The staff is friendly. They never run out of ice. The block ice and dry ice they provide lasts for many days or even a week if kept in a refrigerator, so if a lengthy power outage occurs your food will not spoil. Their super-cold dry ice is guaranteed to bubble-up a storm and liven up any party with a punch bowl or soda fountain. They have an emergency number in their phone message for anyone who has a refrigeration or freezer emergency after hours. The owner and staff are very dedicated and have installed backup generators of their own so they can provide ice even when power is not available. And they are open on weekends during the warmer periods of the year when ice is needed most.
Ice House Hobbies is a little hard to find - its entrance is hidden behind several other buildings. There are clear signs pointing the way, however. We got some dry ice here to transport some food for a flight back home - it was really convenient that the location was open on a Sunday morning.
