I was on a mission checking out different liquor stores to see if they had Blanton’s Bourbon available. This is my son in laws favorite and he lives in Virginia and is very hard to come by, so I thought I would be a good mother in law and find him some, well after quite a few stops at different liquor stores I could not find it every store stated they only get a few in and it goes like wildfire. I was so surprised and excited when I just happen to come by your liquor store (I live an hour away and happened to be shopping at the Danbury Mall) when I walked into you store the two ladies behind the counter could not have been any sweeter, I explained why I was looking for and of course mispronounced the bourbon Susan and Chrissy both knew why I was trying to pronounce and was I ever so happy and excited when Chrissy told me she had one bottle left and would I like it. BevMax liquors of Danbury you have the best Sales ladies ever I can not thank them enough, sweet friendly and sure know their job. I am new to the Danberry area, and my uncle referred me to Bev Max. The first experience was incredible, I needed help finding a lot of different liquors for a punch that I needed to make, and the customer service was excellent. Second trip, I had the pleasure of meeting Susan and Chrissy who welcomed me to the neighborhood, shared some exciting upcoming events that they are doing, and had me sample lots of delicious new products that they carry. So much fun! Nothing is better than going into a store and having knowledgeable, gun, great people boost up your experience! What a treat it was :-)

Decent size store but no Belgian Dubbels or Triples. What gives?

Always love the selection and prices, however, I had an incident today that I wanted to share. I went in and did some shopping, packed my car and left. Then I noticed my wallet was gone- I left it in the cart. My heart sank. I thought to myself, it’s gone no way would it be there if I turn around. I called the store right away and they said “we have it.” I felt the relief. I turned around and Susan had my wallet. She said that she went to get the carts outside and saw my wallet. If it was someone else, it might have been a very different outcome. I’m so thankful for honest people like Susan. All the ladies up front were so sweet. Great staff- thank you so much Susan!!!

Be max is our go to place for wine. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend asking for Susan. She is extremely knowledgeable about wines and has always been spot on with her recommendations. She is very friendly and has great customer service.

I recently was at BevMax in Danbury and had the pleasure of being helped by Susan. What a GREAT employee, she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I love that you can buy a single can of craft beer from almost any pack. They have a decent selection. But beware, some cans are very old, especially in the single can sections. Always check the dates! Also one day, it started down pouring and so I decided to stay in the store and look around more vs running to my car with my big purchase. After 10 minutes of it still down pouring, this older guy employee rudely made fun of me for being afraid of the rain. I was not afraid, I was wearing flip flops and didn’t want to slip and fall running to my car with my big purchase. Was it so bad to wait and shop around some more?!?!?! Way to make ppl feel unwelcome! The ladies working at the registers were shocked at his terrible behavior. How about use this opportunity to be nice and get to know your customers instead? I used to go there a lot but not anymore.

Upon entering the store I was greeted by a very friendly women as I moved around the store looking for what I wanted she continued to be very helpful not only guiding me to what I was Looking for but making some really good suggestions for other wines She was attentive and funny and made my experience in the store one of the best I’ve had. Went into Bevmax Danbury shopping an order for Instacart. Chris helped walk me through the store as this was my first visit and was completely lost. Susan was also helpful, and the entire staff is friendly and attentive. So grateful for their help. Having a 10 year customer service background myself, all I can say is *this*is*how*you*do*it* !

Loved the selection. But the cashier needs a lot of work on customer service. I called to ask if they carried a certain type of liquor and was told no and said It doesnt matter anyways were going to close in 30 minutes. I went labor day around 6pm sad to say I probably wont go back

AMAZING STAFF, DELIVERERS (only drawback is 1.) They typically speak NO English AND2.) The computer generated system is VERY touchy on their smartphones & it can delay door-to-door transactions. Otherwise, you @ BevMax deserve these Kudos

Ive always had a good experience here. The only problem I have (if you can call it that) is that the selection is incredibly expansive and sometimes overwhelming. Short reviews by an in-house tester on the price labels help with making the best selections.

Friendly and helpful . I was looking for a beer that comes from Puerto Rico that one of chief fireman from the state was looking for and was having a hard time so I decided to drive up to BevMax and see if they had it but unfortunately distributors I guess werent sending any due to the pendemic. But still I got the help people were friendly and the great place will go back again even I have to drive and now hour and a half to get there and back home

Great liquor store, awesome staff.

Easily the biggest selection Ive come across in the area. They have singles as well as multipacks. The only inconsistency is ID checking. Had me take my license out to scan and inspect, but did not ask the person directly behind me to even see their ID.

Seems this staff has a problem when black folks enter the store. They are overly baring following you around the store and make the buying experience uncomfortable. Will not be going back there to spend my dollars. They need to review their customer service sensitivity practices. Whether this was intentional or not I never get that experience in the other competitors stores locally!!

Love coming here for a bottle of wine or even a bottle of liquor. Everyone that works here is very helpful especially the girls working the registers. The place is kept very clean and neat as well as the shelves always being stocked. Prices here are decent. Free WiFi would be a plus in here. Will be back again when I am in town. I could spend hours in this place. They have liquor wine and beer!

Never again will I ever go back in this place. The item the I was looking for I found but there was no price on it. I asked the cashier she wasnt sure which is understandable but she referred me to a man who must have been the supervisor or manager. Anywho this man was as RUDE as could be, I couldnt tell if he was just being RUDE or racist which as a customer he should go out his way to assist. Plus to top everything off I was 1 of 3 people in the store. I guess him going back to sit in his chair was more important than helping a customer.

I was rung up by the (current) store manager whom was very unpleasant. His excuse was having a stressful day. Stressed or not as a manager you are expected to hold demeanor of professionalism to yourself. Simply unfit for his position and I’m sure There’s other workers there who can be a better fit as his replacement.Furthermore, he did not even know how to wrap a simple bow around a bottle of wine, and stated “I don’t know how”, and proceed to give attitude. If anyone above him reads this, it would be wise putting him in the background away from customers who expect a decent shopping experience.

They sell wine in cans, its bloody horrible but the cops cant tell youre drinking as they look like soda. Perfect for day drinking in a park. Im not an alcoholic, just British. The staff were fun.

Bevmax Danbury has been a total disaster on multiple occasions, most recently for delivery...this place really sucks out LOUD and its over priced for the misery and the store manager is useless. I saw Caraluzzis (Fairgrounds) is right down the street and they are exponentially better if youre limited to stores in the Backus Ave area. Regardless, avoid the Bevmax dump at any cost.
