Happy that I ended up here when my car was making a loud noise! Didn’t know what was going on & HOS attended to me right away. He lifted the car and showed me what the problem was, which was the flex pipe. The change and welding didn’t take long & left with my car driving smooth again!

Without a doubt somewhere I would go to again. I was traveling from out of state and had an exhaust issue and was limited on options. Luckily I ended up here. They took my car right away since they I was on a time crunch. They diagnosed quickly, explained what was wrong and what it would cost. I am SO happy :) Went to USM for a straight pipe exhaust, including a resonator delete and new tips. Prior going here I had quotes with others and their prices were insane, more than double of what I paid at USM. Did my research, found USM, called, they took me right in and did the job right while I sat there. It was so quick, the quality of the job was amazing, I couldn’t ask for anything more :) especially for the price!!! My car sounds SO good now. To add, they are so personable there and make you feel very comfortable, unlike many other places. I’m beyond satisfied, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

Owner here was amazing, super nice and friendly. Could have charged more for the repair but went with the cheapest viable option we had. Even finished it on the same day. Went from sounding like a lawn mower to silent, will use these guys again!

The owner, Hos, was great! I got to the shop around lunch time and his mechanic had to leave. He asked if I could wait while he got another mechanic. While I was waiting, Hos put my car up on the lift and showed me where my issues were and what we could do. I had a hole in my flex pipe and it was making a lot of noise. Hos gave me a very fair price. By the time we were done speaking, the mechanic was there and work began. I went for lunch and by the time I came back, my car was already out of the shop. Hos took a few pictures of the work that was done to show me. I really appreciated that since the shop got busy and there was no lift available.I truly went to USM just to get a price and do the work at another time but Hos made it very easy for me to get this work done today. I didnt have cash on me but he took debit. I just came from another shop before coming to USM and I was severely disappointed. The shop owner told me that he didnt take walk-ins and I would have to wait for him to even put the car up on a lift to diagnose the problem. Im really glad that shop owner turned me away or I wouldnt have gotten a chance to come to this awesome shop. Thank you Hos and mechanics! We will definitely be coming back.

I think this place saved my life. Seriously, I was driving around in my 2007 Audi A4 for over a year being exposed to exhaust /carbon monoxide. I mentioned that I smelled exhaust to my Audi dealer and they checked it and told me everything was fine. Cut to about 8 months later, when I was really dragging-so tired I couldnt do much exercise and my brain just wasnt working right. Around that time my car started sounding like a lawnmower was running inside the car. I took it to the dealer and they told me to take it to a muffler repair shop. I knew just who to see- the people at USM Discount Muffler, located near where I used to work, across from the bus terminal in Danbury. The owner (Hos) is always on the premises, supervising work and making sure customers are taken care of with a smile, 7 days a week. I called him on late Friday afternoon and he said I could bring it in the next morning, leave it overnight (I had to go out of town for the day) and pick it up on Sunday morning, no problem. Dropping the car off was easy, although the parking is a bit tight, they put my care into one of the bays and kept it there overnight for me, safe and sound. While waiting for my wife to pick me up, I watched the mechanic do work on cars, trucks, and vans. He was quite talented with his welding work, working quickly and accurately. He was a real pro. When I picked up the car the next day, the owner hoisted my car up and showed me exactly where they had cut and welded- turns out my exhaust system was much worse than I thought, but didnt need complete replacement; mainly both flex pipes coming from the engine needed replacement.The difference was immediately noticeable. No more noise from the engine, and my head felt clearer. Gradually over the next few days my energy level increased and I feel back to my old self.The shop was clean, organized. Waiting room was nothing special but clean and perfectly fine for waiting if you need to do that. Price was awesome, really good deal at only 395$ (parts and labor). Service was friendly, courteous, prompt. Quality of the work was excellent. I would definitely recommend using USM Discount Muffler for any exhaust system work.If you are driving around in a vehicle more than 5 years old, you should definitely get the people at USM Discount Muffler to check your exhaust system- it could save your life!

Great owner and muffler shop! Came in to get a Mercedes exhaust patched up and had some other work done, it was quick, they had done it the same day and the price was very good. Overall, would recommend 10 out of 10

Has is one of the only shops like this left... they do good work, took care of the exhaust on my truck so I could pass emissions that day at a fair cost. All work done within a few hours of me coming by. The other big boy car shops would have wanted to replace the whole exhaust system for more than double the cost. If you need exhaust work, check this guy out and give him a shot

Hello all, last couple days my Lexus Is developed an exhaust leak. It got louder and louder, until I went to Lexus service. The dealer want 2500 to change the exhaust system. A friend told me about USM muffler.I am still in shock after I visit them today.The owner great me, look at my car and show the leak place, tell me what will do, and how much will be. Half hour later, and just 120 $, my car is again purring like a kitten.I just say this, if you are in need of any car repair, check this place. It is so rare in this days to find a honest shop, or a honest owner.Thank you very much, you will see me again when my car needs more repairs.

Went in for a decent amount of work on my car. an exhaust bolt broke off when i was changing my engine mount on my mercedes. as well as that i had a broken flex pipe, as well as another broken bolt. when i dropped the car off he called me back in an hour to discuss what needed to be repaired, but i also had some custom work done. he called about every hour or so to talk about the repairs. got there and he showed me the work done, all very quality. he only charged me 500$ for a system that would have cost 1000+ at the dealership. Highly recommended, fair prices, nice people. Does comply with covid-19 precautions.

Hos and his guys are amazing. Fixed the exhaust on my 2011 Audi A6 while I waited. Replaced some rusty sleeves by welding in some straight pipes that will probably outlast the car. In and out in no time and $170. Will be back!!

These guys are wizards with exhaust systems! My family mechanic suggested I take my car there with a hole in my exhaust system. The part alone was over $500. USM was able to cut out the broken part and weld in a new piece of pipe, and eliminate all the rattle in my rusted out exhaust shielding, all or significantly less than the part alone! My car hasnt sounded this good in over 5 years! I give them my highest recommendation.

This place gave me the lowest quote AND charged me less than that to actually get it done! They were fast, efficient, and it was overall just a great experience. This place is definitely under rated and deserves a lot more credit than what they get. I strongly recommend this place.

I was parked out front after they had closed one stormy day and the owner popped his head out the door to ask about my problem. My muffler was literally falling off and I was 50 miles from home on a Sunday. Withing 2 hours he called an employee, got my muffler and had me on the road again, and cheaper than I would have expected on a regular day.
