Active Endeavors is my favorite place for sportswear and outdoor equipment. The staff is very helpful and engaged, after all where else could you go and be helped by an extreme running expert? As a sailor, cyclist and hiker, I find what need for any season!

Dont love that they close at 7pm but Im sure their employees do. Even though I came in at 650 they were still attentive and gave me great service to find the right shoes and hiking socks!

One of the Quad cities only true outdoor stores, and its still limited on selection. 5 stars for carrying small business clothing lines like hippy tree and ten tree.

Really love walking into this store. Staff are always eager to greet and help in selecting the right items/size. I have purchased coats, pants, luggage and shoes, all of which have worn incredibly well. Highly recommend to anyone seeking apparel or accessories designed to go the distance.

They do a great business and are a bit of an anomaly in this area. In a good way. Quality wear and gear for the outdoors. Makes me miss the West Coast (Pacific Northwest). It is hard to beat their quality.

I really enjoyed my time at active endeavors and my salesman was Jeremiah. He took the time to answer my questions and explain things that I havent considered in my new adventure of backpacking and hiking. He steered in the right direction when I was off and took the time to explain why decisions I thought were good when he knew of a better way. When I left there I felt better informed and I will always ask for Jeremiah to be my sales associate. I went back to Active Endeavors in April of 2018 and asked for Jeremiah and he was very courteous and helped me to great satisfaction. It was at check out that another salesperson asked how the products I bought previously were working out and also asked if I had taken my hiking trip yet. Thats when it dawned on me that my previous salesperson was Chris and not Jeremiah. Although I made a mistake on my original review, I stand by what I said. Now I would recommend Chris and Jeremiah, they are both very knowledgeable and courteous and they will both spend as much time as you need to help you in deciding what is best for you. I like them both and I believe if the two sales people I had contact with were both excellent, I dont think you can go wrong with anyone there. This place has everything and I thank Chris and Jeremiah both for a job well done. I cant wait to go back

A clean and well laid out store for a large selection of outdoor equipment. Sometimes quite expensive, other times the best deal around, it just depends on what the item is. I would recommend price checking with other retailers before buying something. We have done this and have still found some items here to be very reasonable, mostly gear; clothes on the other hand appear very expensive unless you find something on clearance. Staff was very helpful for trying on shoes, and gave me a 20% discount on a water filter just because. I recommend you check out this place, I will surely shop here again if I find a good deal.

I always can find what I want here and went when winter items where 40 - 50 % off so I was VERY pleased!!

They were very helpful. A great amount of effort was put into helping me select pack covers. Then I looked them up on Amazon to show someone else and they were the same price on Amazon so I got an awesome deal considering the level of service rendered.

Just got back from a trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro! Since last August, I have trusted the Active Endeavors Team to be my source for virtually all of my required gear and clothing as I prepped for the trip. The AE Team did not steer me wrong! They understood the mountain challenge and made sure my gear, with proper layering techniques, was flexible enough to cover the complete weather cycle during my 10 day journey. I was fortunate enough that we had nasty cold weather here in the QC prior to my trip to Tanzania so I was able to field test and with their help make adjustments to my final gear selection.No need to go on-line or drive to Chicago to get your outdoor gear when you’ve got a great resource here in town. You can try on your gear, talk to the Team about their experiences with similar items and support a great Team of local outdoor enthusiasts.The AE Team was key in getting me successfully to the summit and back! I was employed there for a decent amount of time, and absolutely loved it beginning to end. The owner is one of the most down to earth people Ive ever worked for, and the atmosphere (made up of great music, great products, great architecture, and great people) made working extremely enjoyable.
