Let me first start of with how much I appreciate this place being open so late into the night, even on weekdays. However, the amount of energy and excitement surrounding the reviews and just national attention felt a little overrated after I got there. Quoted as the perfect place for students, I would actually disagree considering the price of the cookies; a single one being $2 and very little saved if you bought a box or bundle. And the later in the night it got, the less chance there was for you to buy the smaller ones for a lesser price. The only reason I place it 4/5 stars is because of the price. The cookie itself was excellent and the service was amazing!

Was sorta disappointed because I have heard that they are amazing cookies. However, when I went it didnt give me for what I was hoping for. Nonetheless, they arent bad just that they arent the best of the best.

I love them! Warm Delicious cookies and milk! Serendipity! Too bad they close so early. Shouldnt be called insomnia cookies when they close around 12:30am on weekdays. Should be called almost insomnia cookies...jk.

It’s a small store. So expect a wait ! I’m writing this review because I didn’t want to get out of character with one of employees helping us. I was very mad and flustered when leaving the store. One of the people who came with me didn’t have a mask. He wasn’t being irresponsible we just went to place where we don’t need them, so he pulled up his shirt so he can order and waited with us. He put down his shirt for a second and one of the workers told him to put his shirt back up or put a mask on. That’s not my issue I understand why. It’s in the tone she said it in. Her voice was dripping with meanness and straight attitude. It was a very rough tone. I sat there order the rest of my order and walked out. Her tone was disgusting. I was so angry with how she spoke and on a first warning I had to leave. I get people have they’re bad days but her tone was unnecessary, and if I ever see her again and with that same attitude I’m gonna tell her something.

Great fun, this! My only complaint, as usual for me, is that their darkest chocolate isnt dark enough for me. All my guests were happy, especially with their cookies.

Ive only been to the Davis location and I love it here. Everytime Ive gone the employees are very polite and friendly. Just bought these for my cousins birthday and he loved them. The cookies are always fresh and soft. Best cookies ever!!

Cookies are great but it literally took 2 hours for a delivery after being quoted 30 mins totally not worth it would not get delivery from them again

Had no idea insomnia cookies was this delicious!!! And it was an adorable shop. The aroma of freshly baked cookies is wafting around the whole block :-) we popped in to have a few cookies after my moms birthday dinner . CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIE & MACADAMIA WHITE CHOCOLATE : Delicious, super soft & chewy! The chocolate chips were melting every bite ^_^ . Definitely give it a try

My bf and I decided to try this place out for our anniversary and it was a complete disappointment. The service was absolutely terrible. I joyfully said hello to the girl at the counter only for her to ignore me and walk away. Another guy came up to the counter to take our order and it was apparent he was not at all in a good mood either. Working customer service requires you to be a respectful person, at least fake a smile... Cmon. For the food, we ordered deluxe cookie sandwiches and they were not good. The cookies were hard and flavorless and the ice cream was just avg ice cream. What makes it worse was that it was almost $20! I do not recommend coming here. Go somewhere where you feel welcomed and where youll get quality dessert for a reasonable price.

Just ordered a 6 pack online, ive always loved this place. Cookies were good but a few of the cookies were wrong. Not only this but a few of the cookies were undercooked, doughy in the middle. (Got all 6, just not the ones I wanted)Also, just an overall problem, price is a bit crazy never understood why it was so expensive...

Very unfriendly staff and the cookies were underdone, oily and mushy. I ordered a six pack of six different cookies and only one cookie (white chocolate macadamia) was cooked properly and is the only reason for the stars. Unfortunate experience for the price. Will not be returning.

Very rude employees. I tried ordering cookies there one time and was feeling indecisive about what to get, and I heard one of the workers whisper about me being a “typical dumb blonde.” After hearing that I decided to not order anything and left immediately. That was really disrespectful behavior.

Ive been praying for insomnia cookies to come to Davis since Ive blessed with their delicious cookies at a conference I attend each year near Chicago. Now theyve come to Davis, and accept pocket points so take advantage of their 2 for 1 cookies coupon!

The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the pricing. Other than that, this is a yummy shop. The first cookie and ice cream place that recently came to Davis was CREAM (Davis Creamery has had this as well and has changed their name a few times). The only major differences between the 3 cookie and ice cream places is A) Insomnia Cookies is open until 3am (CREAM is open until 1am) and B) Insomnia Cookies has warm cookies when you get them. I found these two things very nice. I ordered the Cookiewich with white chocolate macadamia cookies and cookie dough ice cream. It tasted very good (I think there might have been a hint of coconut in the cookies). If youre craving a warm cookie and cant wait/access the DC for Late Night, this is the next best thing (they also deliver).

Warm, delish, polite..trifecta

I ordered 6 cookies tonight at 9:30 pm. They were just delivered at 12:40 am, after 4 phone calls and multiple excuses. Ultimately what I got delivered was not even the correct order. I was offered a meager apology by the delivery driver, but no refund despite the order being wrong and ridiculously late. Totally aggravating experience!

Horrible costumer service. 4 different people kept telling me different information about my order one lady was even rude and they switched up my order, forgot my ice cream and then took 3 hours to come. Not ordering again be weary. Just go in person if you really want to eat here.

Be weary of their special offers. I ordered a 12 Pack Sugar Rush and 6 Pack on May 27th for our school staff using the promo Cookie Magic which was supposed to generate a coupon for a free 6 pack for future use. Never received that, and whats more, I called and emailed customer service several times to follow up. Nothing. Very disappointing, especially since I was a repeat customer.

The cookies were delicious! We ordered a six pack of classic cookies and they were all really fresh and warm. Each cookie was soft and melted in your mouth each bite. Im definitely trying a cookie icecream sandwich next time!

Anytime I’ve ever gone to this location, I’ve had an excellent experience . I live way out of town and this one is the closest to me . One of the workers there sees me from time to time and knows my fave cookie . 10/10 ign .

I feel like the Insomnia Cookies at DOCO in Sac is better. The Davis one is not as fresh. The prices are also kind of high for an average tasting cookie if you buy more than one. They taste better when they are fresh out of the oven since the edges are crispy. Once they get cold, they taste soft and even more average.

Honesty the worst cookie sandwich place I’ve ever visited. The ice cream options were extremely limited and the cookies and cream tasted like the cheap store bought stuff you get in the huge tubs. The cookie also wasn’t anything to write home about, it tasted like frozen dough and fell apart instantly. You can get better stuff at Safeway at its 24hrs.

Ordered cookies from their mobile app. It stated it would take about 25-30 minutes to receive our order. It took about an hour and a half for the order to be delivered to the wrong address. Would not recommend delivery.

Open until 3am, and they deliver. Vegan choc chip cookies available! Just need to add non-dairy milk to their drink menu.

Cookies were cold & hard once. I shed a tear; only happened once and never had a bad cookie drom Insomnia since. Other than that just look at the menu. The coolies will put you in a state bliss & possible cardiac arrest - but thats why theyre soo good!!!

They took an hour to deliver rather than the 20-30 minutes quoted online. They taste pretty good and arrived warm, but not worth the price and time.

Quality wise the ice cream and cookies are both mediocre for the price you pay but a good spot for a late night desert run as its open late and the cookie sandwiches are a fairly good deal.
