Not just place for kids! It has a lot of board games, fun toys and collectibles. Small store but full of things to explore. Very recommended.

Amazing!! I came in looking for crystals (an unexpected spot to find them) and came out with some amazing ones!! I also got one of the cutest stickers ever! Everyone was super nice and there was a huge variety of items from board games to Legos to stuffed animals to little trinkets perfect for stocking stuffers or little gifts. I wanted my crystals wrapped, and they were wrapped super carefully! Highly recommended, and I will be coming back!!

They can be a little pricey, but the staff is awesome, and they have a fun and unique selection of toys. When I took my 4 year old son in here, the staff treated him like a person and listened to all his stories and questions. I appreciate that very much. I always like that I can find such cute things that I cant find anywhere else, and they have new items often!

Such a beautiful unique store with such helpful staff. Any time Ive needed help finding a gift theyre eager to help and come up with the most lovely combinations of things I wouldnt have found on my own. This store and the bookstore have been a haven for me and my kids during the pandemic, its somewhere I know they take the county guidelines seriously to keep us all safe.

Was about to go visit this place which is one of the only toy shops in davis or woodland and was uncomfortable walking by all the homeless people on that street with my baby boy who is about 14 months old. It really sucks that not only is parking a nightmare downtown but you have to walk by homeless people to get to the store.

Safe covid guidelines, toys are a bit expensive. Good to support local

How did I not know Avid Active had free gift wrapping?! I only had a few minutes to grab a last-minute gift for a five year old and Im so glad I stopped in. There were so many affordable options and the staff was so helpful! I know where well be stopping to grab gifts from now on.

This is a great toy store!! Great selection of steam toys, educational toddler and preschool toys, greeting cards, candy, books. Heaven!! Every trip to Davis, we plan a visit and find something or a gift we just have to have!

Excellent selection of classic, innovative, and outdoor toys. Best place for toy shopping in the Sacramento region! Located three doors down from Avid reader Davis, which has an excellent childrens book section as well!

The store itself is great! Unique, cool, and overall organized. One big problem is I was followed and watched the whole time by this young white male who has blue eyes and long hair. As a Mexican I felt uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I still found what I was looking for, but still this is an issue Ive noticed in my recent visits. If this continues Ill record it and post it for the world to see.

While the diversity of books and toys is good, I do have to say that one of the female employees has a terrible attitude towards children that visit the store. Obviously, children are expected to touch and play with the many toys and items on the store. However, this particular employee has a very peculiar and rude way of telling kids not to play with any toys. While I understand that kids must behave and be respectful, they should also be given freedom to learn and play. This has been a recurring issue and thus, we have decided not to shop in this particular spot.

Lots of games, toys, etc for kids here. Youll find something interesting, but kind of a mishmash. If your looking for books go to the other avid reader (50 feet east).

A bit messy and overwhelming inside but that is due to the incredibly large selection of toys, games, models, cards, and educational props that this place has. You can always find something cool here.
