Wow, I cannot say enough good things about Young and her staff! The company I ordered my dress from did not get my dress until two weeks before the wedding. Young graciously worked me in in such late notice and got the dress looking absolutely perfect in under two weeks! There was lots of lace and detail and everything altered was meticulous and precise. She was very thorough and careful and I could tell she wanted everything to be just right even with the limited amount of time. Young was so kind and understanding. This is a wonderful place and I can not say thank you enough to young for making my dress perfect for the big day :).

I took an A Line, two layer, chiffon dress in for alterations to the shoulder strap length and hemming only. I was told that it would be finished October 21st. On October 14th, I received a text saying my dress would be ready November 3rd. I called in to confirm the change that was made.On November 3rd, I arrived with the card that I was given as a receipt ready to pay the price that was written on it which appeared to say $25.00. When I arrived with the cash to pay, she said $89.00. I asked her to confirm with the card that I had. She said, Oh, That says $75.00. Since all I had to pay with was the cash, since I did not want an extra fee for the Credit card, I left without my dress.I will be taking my future business elsewhere.

Young’s Bridal is making my wedding dream come true of being able to wear my mom’s dress from 1980 for my own wedding in May 2021. The dress did not fit and the seamstress and designer at Young’s have taken my mom’s dress and edited and modified it so that it fits and keeps true to the original dress. I have yet to see the finish product, but they have spent so much time with me ensuring that every detail is complete! I am so excited to see the finish product! I ordered my dream wedding dress online, so it was in need of hemming, shortening the sleeves, being taken in at the waist and a few other items. The Youngs Bridal team was knowledgeable, kind and helpful, and did an excellent job with meeting my needs for my gown. Our seamstress also helped recommend the kind of undergarments needed for the neckline and best fit of the dress, and even put in loops for the bra straps last-minute when I picked up the dress. Great to work with, and I highly recommend!

Due to the complexity with the lace on my dress, I was unsure if i would be able to find a local seamstress to alter this for me before my big day! Young did such an amazing job!! Young did such a wonderful job my wedding gown. She was up front with pricing and, while I didnt shop around, seemed to have reasonable prices. I went back for 3 fitting appointments, as she likes to only make one big change at a time. She was very meticulous with the lace on my dress, you couldnt even tell it had been cut and restitched to shorten the dress. She recommended an American bustle for my dress and made it so easy for us to figure out before the reception and it stayed securely in place the entire day! Ive attached photos of before and after alterations and I couldnt be happier!

I was referred by my bridal shop. The dress was too big overall and needed taken in everywhere. She did a great job w the length and hips, however the top was horrible. The breast area was too big and instead of adding cups or adjusting it, she pulled the top tighter. I felt like I didn’t even have time in my final fitting to address it, it was so rushed. In turn, the strapless dress sat too low on my chest and pulled me tight, but in my back area, not breast. So that created “back fat”. Also, it created humps on the side and it was not smooth. I cringe looking at my photos. So disappointed. I now wish I would’ve gotten the smaller dress and pushed to fit into it. Here in the pics u can see how the dress looked for the wedding. The first pic was how it was supposed to look (the smaller size), nowhere close

This place is an ABSOLUTE GEM. This woman and the people she works with are so VERY sweet and kind. Super dedicated and just all around amazing. Phone calls went smooth professional my dress came with a mishap and a bunch on the side young basically took my dress apart on one side while I was wearing it. I was so scared but I shouldnt have been! She knew exactly what she was doing and with only a few weeks until the wedding she had it all done with time to spare. It fit absolutely PERFECT . She is honestly the sweetest women and gets on her hands and knees and works her butt off as do her staff. Just in love!!! Thank you so much!

Youngs Bridal does amazing work and saved this brides wedding day! I was a bit behind getting alterations done and didnt start looking around at alteration shops until 16 DAYS before the wedding... I know. Young was the only one to look at my dress and fit me in the schedule. Two weeks later, and two days before my wedding day, I have a dress that looks AMAZING. I had the length shortened, a belt sewn on, and a bustle put in at a really reasonable cost. I would absolutely recommend Youngs to any future brides!

I’ll start off by saying she does good work, and the dress did come out as desired, however the process to get there was somewhat painful.Cons:1) Just overall not very professionally run. Again, good work and they were courteous, however they double booked TWICE on me even when I had called to confirm appointments which isn’t great for working people who have tighter schedules. She also didn’t take notes of what I needed done, which, with how much there was to do, you think she would. So instead, I basically had to reminder her every time I went because she would forget something or didn’t make the sleeves as originally asked.2) They also don’t give clear information on pricing, so MAKE SURE YOU ASK. This one is on me because I just trusted the total estimate she gave me ($300-$400) In the end she charged MORE THAN DOUBLE what she originally told me (almost $1000!!!) and when I asked why she didn’t tell me. I had it taken in, a bustle added (one that was extremely simple and she said would be cheaper), a belt sewn on, and sleeves added. I had a friend get similar items done to her dress along with a hemming and she paid half what I did at Bahar for work of the same quality. They need to be far more upfront and not just give “ranges” that they don’t even stick to. And if they charge by the hour then at least make that clear, especially when they are redoing stuff because they didn’t listen to what I originally asked for. Again, this one is on me for going in naively and not requesting written breakdowns on cost that I could hold her to. Way overpriced, I wish I’d challenged her on it more.3) I scheduled way in advance because I new there was a lot that needed to be done and conveyed that multiple times, along with the date I needed to pick it up, they kept reassuring me there was enough time. As the weeks got closer they finally saw their mistake in putting it off and all of a sudden I had to go to several fittings in a week which was quite frustrating schedule wise. And in the end it wasn’t even done when I had originally requested (and reminded several times) and when I went to pick up it they had still forgotten some things.4) Kind of trivial but was frustrating...she insisted I needed a strapless bra and I had to get it to her right away, so I went and bought one and drove it over but she kept delaying putting it in and in the end didn’t add it. So that was a waste of money... :/Overall, I’d say if you only need something very simple like it taken in or a bustle added, you should be fine. But make sure you get a break down in pricing that you can hold them to BEFORE you give them your dress. Otherwise they will charge more than originally stated and it is so not worth it. If you need anything special, or a lot of work done, I would NOT recommend coming here...

Youngs Bridal was a miracle worker with my wedding dress! When I received my dress from my bridal shop and tried it on, it was too small in the rib cage and it could not be buttoned up. There was no way I could lose enough weight in my rib cage area to get the dress to button. I took the dress to Youngs Bridal to get the bodice fixed, to have an American bustle added to the dress and to have the dress hemmed. Youngs assured me that they could easily take a little bit of the extra lace from the train of my dress to allow for more room in my bodice and they did! The dress is absolute perfection! I was extra impressed because the material they had to fix/add was delicate tulle. It only took the shop 3 weeks to work on my dress and they were so sweet and kind with every interaction. To sing their praises even more, their prices are incredibly fair and reasonable as well!I HIGHLY recommend taking your dress to Youngs if you live in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. You wont be disappointed!

I bought my wedding dress in Cincinnati off the rack. It was dirty. The beading was falling off. The lace was ripped in some spots. The shoulder strap was torn. And, on top of that, the dress needed altered to fit my body. My dress needed a lot of TLC.Young got me an appointment asap. She was so professional and kind. I really appreciate her workmanship. (And, she also has a really calming voice, which is random to note, but it made me at ease with all the alterations I needed.) Immediately, one can tell she knows her stuff. Not only did she alter the dress to perfectly fit my body, she fixed all the imperfections, including cleaning it. I would recommend Young one thousand times over. And, to top it off, she is so affordable!

I have gone to this place for every dance I’ve needed a dress altered and was helping my sister when she got her wedding dress altered here! They do such a great job and make sure you’re getting what you want; and if you try the dress on and it’s not what you pictured they’ll still fix it! The owner is the sweetest lady and it has been nothing but a pleasure getting to do business with her!

Young went above and beyond for my wedding dress alterations. I came to her in July with my beautiful lace wedding gown that needed a LOT of work done. I needed my arms, chest, and back covered with material for modesty purposes.Young made my dream dress come to life! She added beautiful lace sleeves, as well as creating a lace chest piece and back piece to my dress. Not only that, but she hemmed and created a bustle on my gown as well. The amount of work she put in for my gown in such a short amount of time speaks volumes, this woman is talented! She absolutely transformed my dress in such an amazing way.

Fantastic alterations shop! I brought my wedding dress and my daughters junior bridesmaid dress here. My wedding dress needed a lot of work, as I had lost weight and things really needed to be shifted around. My daughters dress just needed a hem. My dress was done to perfection! They were so helpful and addressed all of my concerns. I highly recommend!

I took my dress in because I was at my wits end. I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in my friends wedding in two weeks and the dress wouldn’t even come close to zipping. Miss Young looked at the dress and began plucking at the seams with me in it. She told me just come back in three days. I went back and the dress fit perfectly. She does excellent work! The dress looks better than when I bought it and is less heavy and less boxy. I actually look like I have a shape in it. Be sure to give her a try. She is very skilled!

I had my wedding dress altered here and she did a great job! I did have to come back to have some measurements done again but it wasnt a huge deal. They were very nice and listened to what I wanted. They did add a small flower that I didnt ask for but she removed it quickly and the dress looked amazing! We are going to have my fiances suit done here as well. Id definitely reccomend.

Youngs Bridal was a life saver for my dress. I was sold a dress in Cinci that was way to big for me (long story, but got a partial refund from the dress store since they knew they messed up) and Mrs. Young was tasked with making it fit my smaller frame. The bust had to be completely redone, but when I finally got my dress back i loved it more than i did before. Mrs. Young let me know that my dress was a difficult project, but walked me through all of the changes she was going to make and assured me it was going to look great-which it does! The price for the amount of work she had to do was reasonable, and she got it done in record time.

The seamstress is a genius. She created a bustle for my chiffon, fluted wedding gown that made it an even better design. I recommend them highly!

I am getting married next Saturday and when i took my dress to get alterations and every time i went for a final fitting it still was not perfect but each time Youngs suggested what she thought would look amazing! I bought a vintage lace Stella York dress from Carrie Karabou & they recommend an alteration store that turned out to be really shady. I went online & found Young s bridal & liked what I saw & read so I made an appointment. The woman was extremely nice & so quick! I brought it in beginning of June & she said its be done mid July; it was done by the June 30. It turned out to be more $ than Id planned but for good reason. I decided to wear flats under my dress so instead of shortening it 3-4 inches, she had to take about 6-8 inches & remove all the lace by hand & reattach it. I was kinda nervous about that but it turned out amazing! I also kept losing weight & she worked with it. I had four 15 minute appointments & was done! She added in cups for my chest took It in from the top all they way to mid thigh, shortened it & reattached the lace. It was awesome & my dress fits like a glove. Will definitely be going to her from now on!!

I had alterations and pressing done on a bridesmaid dress here. I was pleased with the fitting and the alterations. Prices are competitive and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They will sew in bra cups, which is a nice option to have. They let you know upfront that you need to schedule an appointment for a fitting, but my appointment was quick and convenient. The alterations were promised in 2 weeks and the dress was ready on time. I would recommend their work and will be using them again in the future.

I cant praise this place enough with what it really deserves. The employees are absolutely above and beyond. They have amazing personalities and so sweet and kind. I came to this store 2 years ago when I was getting married. I asked for an alteration on my wedding dress and the owner made me feel at home while helping me with my dress. When i came to pick up the dress it was more than just a pickup. They made me feel special for my wedding day. Thanks to this place they made my day so special and the dress was absolutely beautiful. Now two years later I choose this place for all of my husbands and my alteration needs. I dont trust anyone else. This place is above and beyond the average. I went to Youngs because I had purchased my dress through Alfred Angelo, and they had closed their stores. Making an appointment was easy. As soon as I walked in, we got started. Young and her employees are all very professional. At the first visit, we made plans for the bustle, adding cups, and bringing the hem up an inch. I paid for all the planned changes at the first visit. The second visit was a week later, the changes were pinned to make sure they were right, and I brought a bridesmaid to learn the bustle. Everything looked perfect, there werent any additional changes needed so no new charges. I came back a week after that, all of the changes were made, it looked perfect, and I took the dress home with no additional charges. It was so fast and easy.

My dress now fits me perfectly, and the time it took for alterations to be completed was very brief! I would highly recommend.

Young altered my wedding dress and not only did she do some basic alterations like taking a few inches off the bottom of my dress and fixing loose jewels; but she also made a custom panel for the back of my dress. Originally the panel was deep red and matched my dress but she asked if she could make a white one to match the dress and it ended up looking better than the original. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who needs alterations and I will go back anytime I need something altered. She went above and beyond to make my dress look amazing on me.

My wedding gown was an off the rack purchase because I was so in love with it, however, it was a size 10 and I am a size 4. Young did an exceptional job with all the alterations my dress needed to be perfect. She assured me of little things that would be finished before I even had a chance to ask. Bridesmaid dress was altered very well, fit great. I paid for my alterations when I dropped then off but their records showed I hadnt paid. I didnt have my receipt and almost paid again but the owner found a copy of my receipt in her records. So, save your receipt or pay at pick up. Would definitely recommend for quality alterations.

My sister broke her zipper on her wedding dress 3 days before her wedding. Frantically I called Youngs explained the situation and brought in the dress that day. She was able to fix it and I was able to picked up the dress the next day! They are so nice and life savers!

Loved going here. I was in a lurch after another seamstress from another company completely ruined my brand new pageant competition gown. Youngs hemmed my new dress in record time and it was absolutely perfectly done. They also sell long dress bags, which can be very difficult to find. Very happy!!

My experience at Youngs Alterations was overall excellent. I took my wedding gown in and had multiple fittings, all of which I was impressed with the work done each time. The owner is extremely skilled and knows how to do detail work and complicated bustles. She added a 46-point bustle to my gown and I love it! She is also very friendly and clearly has had a lot of experience with everything from hemming pants to complicated gowns. She interacted in a very friendly and professional way with all of the customers that came in the store. I would definitely recommend getting a bridal gown altered here!

I took my wedding gown to Youngs to have the length hemmed, a bustle and a panel made to fit under the corset back. The owner was very nice, receptive to my wants, and complimented my dress. When I went back for my follow up, only half the work was complete and she tried to up the price by $80 from what she had already quoted me. Luckily, I had her note the details on my claim ticket, so I stood my ground on the original quote! Another week and all work was complete and she did not try to pull any fast ones on the price when I picked up my dress. She did very nice work and I am absolutely please with my dress. I dont intend to sound racist - I have worked a lot with asian cultures and they can be really pushy when it comes to money. As long as you are firm and make sure you get a detailed quote from her beforehand, you should be happy with Youngs!

Fantastic! I got my wedding dress altered here and it was perfect the first time! Everyone told me they were the best in town and they were right.

The staff at Youngs Bridal are amazing artists! I fell in love with a chiffon wedding dress that consisted of 12 hankerchief type long panels. After purchasing the dress I worried that it would not be able to be altered to accomodate my short stature while keeping the shape of the chiffon panels! Oh, the horrors! Long story short, the ladies at Youngs assured me they would be able to do the alterations, shorten the length, shorten the straps, and keep the shape of the 12 separate chiffon panels. They also would add hooks to hold my bra in place as the back of the dress was a deep V cut. Oh my goodness, it was amazing because not only did my dress turn out PERFECT but they completed the work in a couple of weeks!! I just couldnt be more thrilled. I inspected every panel of the dress and its unbelievable how completely, beautifully and perfectly CONSISTENT their stitches are!! Im a short woman, (411) and Ive had to have my good clothes altered all of my adult life, but let me tell you something, I will NEVER take my clothes anywhere else besides Youngs, they are amazing! I HIGHLY recommend them.

I absolutely loved Youngs! My dress was fully altered and all add-ons I wanted were done in two weeks !! I was amazed at the outcome of my dress, and the generosity and cheerfulness of the owner and her family! My wedding is in May and alteration costs had me worried, but I was well taken care of and prices are very fair.

Youngs is amazing. I had a bridesmaid dressing that needed some serious alterations; hips let out, train taken off, shoulders taken up, ect. I was in utter amazement when I returned for my fitting and it fit like a glove. These ladies have some serious talent. Not to mention the short turn around time. I took a cocktail dress to Youngs for alterations and paid an extra fee to have it ready in one week, instead of two. I was promised it would be ready. When I returned to the shop to pick up the dress, on the day I was told it would be ready, it was not ready. To make matters worst, she had not even started working on it. I had to come back two days later, which was the same day of my event. The dress was very messy and I couldnt even wear the dress to my party. I had to take my dress somewhere else to be fixed. I was so displeased with the service. I would never recommend this place to anybody. If you go there, I wish you luck.
