Got my Yamaha keyboard repaired in December of 2019 and it’s worked great since then. It was a great feeling to have it fixed. And I was just thinking today how lucky I am to have a great repair store right by me.

What can I say, these guys seem to be very stand up and honest. The price is fair and I was made aware from the beginning about the shortage of parts for my amp and honestly I understood that because it was an older amp and components for a lot of things are at a shortage. They found the part though and fixed it. So i thought..... I got home plugged it in right away and I was just getting all this nasty feed back and buzzing. I didnt get upset. I just called and they told me to bring it back right away if i had time. So i took my guitar and chords along with my amp and we plugged it up. Tried a different guitar still same issue. Tried a different cord and what do you know we found the problem I had a bad cord. So lucky it wasnt a majore issue. But without hesitation the technician fixed my cord for no cost and honestly that is what made me want to leave this review because its about the little things like that. I appreciate the kindness and honesty! 5 stars++ from me.

They did a fantastic job setting up my Dean Edge-5 bass. Noticed and fixed some things I didn’t even mention. Best place in the area to get professional work done on your instrument.

My amp sat in there for 5 weeks. They couldnt figure out what was wrong and said that it didnt make financial sense to keep looking. Still charged me just for holding it.

If youre like me, you dont like driving all the way to Centerville and paying a large % of a stores mortgage just to get a simple repair done. And Encore is the solution. Excellent work at reasonable prices.

I am very impressed with Encore. My main amp was down and they got me back up and running the very next business day after I dropped off my amp. Both guys I interacted with were highly knowledgeable and helpful. I knew my amp was in good hands and when I picked it up the repair was perfectly done and my amp is back to normal. I highly recommend this place and will come back if I have any other work in the future. Thanks!!

Dropped off a turntable for an easy fix because Im a lazy novice willing to pay others for my mistakes. Either way, the guy there was super cool and enthusiastic about it, explained the paying process well. Got an obnoxious amount of calls about how my turntable was repaired over a span of two weeks (had no time to come get it). Tried showing up on a Saturday but as it turns out, whether or not theyre open during their Saturday hours is up in the air. The same guy who took my table was there when I went to pick it up though and we had a nice chat and he taught me a bunch about how record players work. So, like, overall a good experience.

Took a crapped out tube amp in last year, they did a wonderful job bringing it back to life. I recently took a few guitars in that were giving me trouble. After setup/repairs the action and intonation on both are better than I thought possible. Took a while on the amp, but I was in no hurry and prefer done right to done fast. Guitars were ready to go within 10 days. Highly recommended.

The worst service Ive ever experienced. I took a Roland 2480 recorder in for a few simple repairs and after almost four months, they still have not finished it. I get the same run around story from the receptionist every time I call that the tech is working on it now. Take your equipment to a professional service center and avoid this place.

Ive had nothing but great experiences with Dayton Musician Services - Ive been taking gear their for many years (equipment from my band) - they are always prompt, courteous and professional. I always check with them first before I send any equipment off because if they can do it, they are local and the prices are great.

I was referred to Dayton Musicians Services via Yamaha on a warranty repair. I own a lot of sound equipment so I admittedly had high hopes when dropping the speaker off. My thought was, I have several things that need repair and upkeep and if this warranty repair goes well I would definitely come back.Unfortunately those high hopes were crushed when I picked up the still broken speaker two months later. So what happen? The warranty was not the issue as I had already gotten the repair cleared from Yamaha. Dayton Musicians Service warned me when I dropped it off that Yamaha sometimes took a while. I passed along the Yamaha case number and the representative I was assigned to at Yamaha.Fast forward a month after the drop off, I called Dayton Musicians Service but was unable to leave a message as their phone voicemail box was full. So I emailed and asked for an update. I few days later I got a reply saying they were still waiting on Yamaha. So I called my assigned representative from Yamaha to ask why. He said Yamaha had not received any repair request from them. I replied back to DMS and said Yamaha was going to contact them and get things straight.Another month goes by and I hear nothing, so I call DMS back...still no answer and voicemail is full. I call Yamaha back and they say they will follow up again and call me back. They call back a few days later and say after several tries they cant get ahold of DMS and to go get my speaker if I can.I go and pick the speaker up and DMS says we tried but havent heard anything from Yamaha I called Yamaha back and under the circumstances asked they to mail me a replacement driver....which they did. I got it three days after asking for it.I dont know the process of DMS and Yamaha when it comes to warranty repair and thats why this is a 2 star rather than a one star. But the communication is horrible and I cant help but think that more could have been done to get my speaker repaired. I am going to look elsewhere for future repairs and I suggest other do the same.

I used DMS bout 8 years ago when I was in a band. Back then they fixed everything fine and were very accommodating and wanted to know when I needed things back to me for gigs etc. This stuck with me. I havent been in that band for many years now and had neglected my equipment which I had a problems with when I went to fire it back up a few weeks ago while on a stay-cation. After taking pedals and an amp in, they called back in several days and said everything worked just fine.Going back to pick up my equipment I had a good conversation with one of the techs there (should have gotten his name) but he gave me some other things to check and showed me how to test my cables with ohm meter among other things. When I got back to the house I looked at the new cables I had purchased and discovered they were stereo not mono cables, he showed me how to check for this as well.Anyway, DMS had great service then and still has great service, thanks for the help!! And, they only charged me for one item bench test! DMS is the only place I have ever taken my stuff for repair and will continue to be...Thanks again!!!
