What a great music store!!!I came in looking for new guitar strings, and installation.I was directed to a technician who helped me immediately. I also asked for advice on making bar chords, and he had a few very useful tips for me to try. I mentioned that we were moving back to Ohio soon and there was no time to schedule lessons or I would have started soon.A very nice gentleman assisted me in finding a sturdy guitar stand. He set me up with a triangular model that is sturdy and well balanced.We also enjoyed looking at the Taylor guitar section. I have a Taylor, gs, mini which I love.I wish that we had a “Total Entertainment “ shop in the Cleveland area. Total Entertainment has been here at this exact same spot for as long as I can remember. And I been local here since 1989They have everything you could need to start testing you’re musical talents or to start you’re own band.If they don’t have it if it’s actual thing, they can maybe order the item for you, they are great. Not to be a Debbie downer, but due to how this pandemic has been playing out,I just wish you guys would do a little bit more for you’re online shopping community.Things like info on deals&sales, store cataloged in store items. Like the hardware, guitar pickups, mics, strings,skins for the drum set incase you break one. It would a lot quicker just to come down and shop in store than online, but sometimes you might not be able to make that trip, but to just pull out the ol phone and order them strings before I forget. I mean there’s shipping cost, that’s the price one must pay for not choosing to shop in store.

Have been in on several occasions now. Always greeted and taken care of in a friendly and professional manner, never pushy. Staff is very helpful. They have a great selection and very reasonably priced. Gives you that mom and pop type vibe instead of big corporate music store feel. I won’t go anywhere else.

I purchased my first guitar from Steve in 1984. He knew how to treat customers then and he’s only gotten better over the years. I’ve watched dozens of little shops come and go. Steve is still here. Now a big box store rolled into town, but their service is non existent, and Steve beats their prices. Steve has substantially lower overhead, and a reasonable profit margin. He cares deeply about his store, so be respectful while inside.

The store is always clean and well-stocked the staff is always very friendly very courteous and helpful but also knows when your window shopping what you do your own thing in thereSteve is always very courteous very informative and actually will take a minute to talk to you about anything music or otherwise.! Hes cut me some great deals when I had next to no money and Ive also gone back there and paID it forward spending some good money and will continue to do so! I highly recommend this establishment.

WHAT a wonderful day at Total Entertainment in DB, FL. We came on a mission to get THE perfect birthday guitar for our soon-to-be 16 year old son. Dave, our very knowledgeable store associate helper, was patient and knew EVERYTHING about, well, everything!...brands, background, hooking up components and taking them apart, maintenance, you name it. We were there for about 2 hours and left with one happy lad and his new Fender guitar (in daphne blue, Dave reports!). Thank you Total Entertainment...well no longer be going to the other place in Daytona for musical equipment and supplied. Total Entertainment is, now, our go to!

Thomas is the dude to go to if you need a guitar. He is a great dude and knowledgeable in any gear you’d need! That said all the staff there are amazing, and they have a great guitar selection with left handed models and also great savings! I saved 250 dollars compared to other big box retailers. Call ahead and told them what I needed and we got in and out. My daughter starting middle school band so we needed supplies. They had everything the school ask for and much much more!

I contacted this store on reverb the night before Thanksgiving regarding an amplifier. The owner (I assume) was extremely helpful and responsive when it would be understandable that he wouldn’t be. He even responded to my message on Thanksgiving evening. While I decided to go with a different amp they didn’t have in stock I was very impressed with the friendliness and care the store offered. Other store owners that promised to respond regarding a guitar I was interested in never followed up or bothered. 5 stars and I will continue to check this store FIRST for music items I’m interested in even if I have to pay more for shipping vs a local vendor. Customer service matters most. Thanks!

I would never shop anywhere else. Not only has total entertainment been in business in town for well over 25 years, they always compare their prices to the best online prices. They always match the lowest price online and oftentimes Beat It by 5%, 10%, even as much as 15%. Plus they stand behind everything they sell and have a huge selection of merchandise on premises. Its great to be able to put your hands on the item that you are buying and its also great to be able to take it home today. Price, selection and service are all excellent.

Just had my guitar professionally set up by an authorized Taylor dealership. WOW, Dennis, youve certainly made a world of difference in how much easier my Taylor GS mini plays now. Great prices and good inventory considering the Pandemic.

So I had the most fantastic experience here today. I found a sunburst EVH Wolfgang with a maple neck in incredible condition. Its GORGEOUS!! Not a mark, dent or scratch anywhere!! So I played this guitar and fell in LOVE with it! It was priced perfectly for my budget. All it needed was some new strings and a quick setup. Lorenzo put a brand new set of Daddario 110s on it and did the intunation on it at no extra cost! While we waited! Not that is fantastic services! Thank YOU for a fantastic guitar and excellent service. Ill definitely be back for another guitar. Got my eyes on that sweet Mesa too lol.

I recently picked up my guitar after an electrical repair, set-up and re-fretting and it plays majestically! Its like having a brand new guitar all over again at a very affordable price. Ive also purchased a Taylor acoustic- electric from there in the past at a great price. Highly recommended!

Brought in my guitar for some super basic touch ups. Dennis was super friendly right off the bat (as always!) and did a superb job helping me with my guitar. It only took a couple of minutes and he even taught me a few tips for adjusting the truss rod. The cashier was also super cool and friendly and we even had an awesome conversation. I highly recommend this store!

As a beginner musician/guitarist, its easy to get lost in this music store & thats in a awesomely good way. They have an abundant selection of new & pre-owned equipment. If they dont have it, its probably because the deal was too good to pass up and they were sold out quickly. Floor room doubles as a storage warehouse. Sales staff is knowledgeable.

The best music store Ive been to. The staff is very nice and super knowledgeable. They have a huge supply of instruments and equipment at better prices than the big box music stores. If youre a drummer, Dan runs the drum department and know drums inside and out. Gregg teaches drums there and is an excellent instructor. I could hang out there for hours.

I used to work at Total, and have been shopping there for almost 20 years. Far and away the best selection of musical gear and lowest prices in the area. Staff was wonderful. I took my 8 year old son in there to try out the instruments and the hooked him up with the drum, bass guitar, electric guitar, and keyboard. After playing several I asked about lessons. Lessons are provided in store at a very reasonable price. Overall the service was wonderful and looking forward to the lessons

I have been a customer for 5 years at Total Entertainment and every time Ive been in there I have been greeted cordially and treated wonderfully. Everyone Ive sent there have been happy too. The prices are great and everyone is always concerned with not just giving you the best price but making sure your instrument is right for you! Dont know who wrote one of the negative responses but all I can say is dead wrong !

Ok products, but staff is super pushy and greasy car salesmen attitude and always talk to you like you have no clue about anything. Not my first experience like this here even, been going for years and its never changed.

Great collection of musical instruments, and nice store. I visited the store couple years ago and I went back today and found it to be even better supplied. Its one of two music stores in all of Florida Ive been in so far that really impressed me with their selection and knowledgeability. Music Arts Enterprises in Dania Beach is the other one. I would highly recommend this as the music store to go to in Daytona and the surrounding areas. The representatives and more than willing to let me Demo different pieces of equipment.

Took my bass in for a fix that I thought would be pricey and all it needed was some knobs tightened. Dennis gave me the best service and fixed me up in less than 5 minutes! The atmosphere is great and the people are great! I was so eager to write a review that Im writing in my car right outside in the parking lot!

Big selection of gear!I didnt come for gear, rather a repair shop. While here got a peek at some of the new gear. Awesome and affordable! Though I didnt buy anything YET, the staff found a repair shop locally that fixed me up right away. Because of that and the knowledgeable and friendly staff, I WILL be returning for a visit to buy some killer gear! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Great business! Ive bought a lot of stuff from these guys and they do indeed beat online prices.. by a lot too. There were guitars and amps for like 10% off Sweetwater or Musicians Friend! Some of the stuff I bought from them had minor issues but they were happy to fix it right away. Dennis and Jesse are very talented guitar technicians. I would happily choose this place over a Guitar Center or something.

Today I was in a crunch for a job my technicians are working on in the area. One of them left a microphone at a job site in another area. I called Total Entertainment Music Store and the staff I talked to was extremely helpful. I called guitar center first and I felt I wasnt getting anywhere with the idea of me paying for the microphone for my techs so they can just show up and get it. Im a student at the local collage and I had time between classes and wanted check what the store had. I walked in this morning and waited half an hour to be helped in the drum room. After a disappointing experience they stopped me and accused that I stole a $2 lanyard. I assured them this was mine when I came in and I would never do such act. They then checked the video camera footage and found they where wrong and DID NOT apologies. This scenario made me late for my exam and put me under unnecessary stress. I never felt so belittled in my life. Why would anyone support such a rude staff is beyond me. With the amount of great independent music stores in the Daytona Beach area, theres no reason to step foot in Total Disappointment.

A great variety of guitars, bass guitars, drums, keyboards, audio equipment, etc. Ive purchased a large amount of musical instruments and accessories due to the volume of supply and friendliness of the staff. Theyll take care of you in picking your equipment and maintaining it afterwards.

Have bought a couple of guitars, an amp, cases and numerous other guitar stuff strings,picks,etc. Was always meet with friendly and courteous staff member willing to go out of there way to help. They also have great events like fender days where they have factory representatives in to answer questions give out things.

These are always some of the nicest staff you will find in any music store period - i have purchased an american special edition strat as well as cases and amps and so many other items through the years and prices are always as competitive and reasonable as you will find!! i support these guys

Go here, If you like music stores where youre followed around and stared at the entire time.It feels like another dimension in this place, where the people running it arent human, but some sort of robot programmed to make condescending remarks about your taste in music and instrument selection (think the simpsons comic book guy mixed with a creed fan).Most sections are roped off. So if you plan on trying something youd like to purchase youre gonna have to find one of said robots and ask them to try it while they breathe down your neck.Its perhaps the most awkward music store Ive ever been and dont plan on visiting again.

Im a little conflicted on how to rate these guys. The plusses are that the sales associate I worked with was very helpful, friendly and well-versed, and the guitar I bought was excellent.The downside is that I cannot help but feel that this store acted inappropriately. I was in Daytona for vacation, and bought a $300 Yamaha git at the store to play while on vacation, with the agreement that they would do free shipping back home after I played it for a few days on vacation (the website says all shipping is free to the lower 48 states). Win/win, right?When I took it back to the store 4 days later (as planned), the manager told me that I was going to have to pay approximately $40 in shipping (since they erroneously charged me sales tax). When I told her about our agreement, she said she would honor it, but would take it out of the sales guys paycheck. Of course, I said that was inappropriate, and paid the shipping. But thats a terrible way to do business. I felt she acted dishonestly. And what is a bit ironic is that I fell in love with a $600 Yamaha transacoustic (great git, btw!), and was going to buy it on the spot and have it shipped home. Given the margins on a guitar like that, her being greedy to not pay shipping (when the website SAYS free shipping) cost her store at least a coupe hundred $$$. The sales guy did right, and worked a good deal for everyone, that she then screwed up.In short, the manager of the store demonstrated to me that I could not trust her, and by extension the store, so I will simply spend my music instrument dollars (several thousand) elsewhere. That poor customer service cost her $600 today, so I hope the extra $40 for shipping was worth it.UPDATE 2020: Heading to Daytona for vacation again later this summer. Going to buy another guitar for vacation, almost certainly a 1xx or 2xx series Taylor. Going to buy it from Guitar Center, instead of this place. Had you just honored your word and done the right thing (i.e what you PROMISED to do) I would have bought this $1000+ git in your store. But being unethical has its costs; if I cant trust you to stand behind your word, I wont ever give you another penny. Still glad you stuck me with the shipping bill?

I shop at total ent. at least 2-3 times a month and every transaction I make has been a pleasure. Unlike those big box stores who ignore you and dont let you touch anything unless you buy, which I dont know anyone who buys a high end guitar without wanting to see how it feels and sounds first the staff here are great. Jason, and Dennis are very friendly,knowledgeable and any repairs that you may need are super fast and done right the first time. All staff there are friendly and genuinely there to help. Save yourself some time, frustration and go to Total Entertainment.

I was in Daytona Beach end of January for the PGA show in Orlando, I stay in Ormond Beach with friends that live there. I stopped in and fell in love with the store, even met a young man that is from Maryland also. I bought a few things that day and ended up coming back the next day after I talked my buddy into buying a guitar that we looked at the day before, enjoyed it and will be back as I go to Florida alot.

Purchased a new Fender Player Series Stratocaster. Buttercream color looks great and guitar plays and sounds great. Guitar tech Randy did thorough setup and changed out strings to Ddarrio 10s, charging only for the strings. Locally owned music store with excellent customer service. Highly recommend them.

Real people that play. I needed a guitar pre-amp that would allow me to go direct to FOH and demoed a few different ones. Jason worked with me to get the right one (RK5 Fly Rig)...and they even BEAT an internet price on the item!!! The first day I went there He even got rid of a hum that was coming from my guitar and didnt charge me!!! Find that kind of attitude or service at a Big Box music store. I will definitely go back to them for more gear.

The employees of this store knowingly tried to sell my wife (a beginner musician) a broken guitar. When confronted about it, they admitted they knew it was broken, and that they hid that fact from us, the potential customers, but we should have done our research before attempdint to buy a guitar.
