Neat stuff and gifts. more of a tourist stop. make sure you have mask they will not allow other face coverings. We were told it has to be a mask. As a nurse I know the prevention measures and a face covering is sufficient double cloth, shirt, hoodie, gators. Just take a mask if you want to shop here to be safe

Went in for great Florida oranges and when I peeled them at home they were old and dry. Grocery store is much better option than this place.

Ive shopped at Davidsons through the years and have encouraged family and friends to order from them as well.No More!!.....I dont recall EVER being treated as shabbily as I was treated during my visit today. Not only was I told I couldnt handpick more than 6 grapefruit (had to purchase the prepackaged bags), when my husband questioned this policy, the DISGRUNTLED owner yanked my grapefruit and honeybells out of my hands (I had yet to pay) and ordered me to leave the store, never to come back! He then called my husband a homophobic expletive...! Truly unbelievable. In retrospect Im so amazed, I could almost laugh and really I feel somewhat sorry for this individual.Btw, I am a successful business woman in my mid 60s....you dont treat people this way...Owners response below to my review is not accurate.... Fleeting memory, or guilty conscience??!

We bought some fruit while visiting in the area. The owner was very nice and attentive. He gave us a bag full of loose citrus which included grapefruit, 2 kinds of oranges, and a few honeybelles. The oranges with the thin skin are not very juicy or sweet, these were rather dry. The grapefruit is supposed to be ruby red, but the color is more like a lemon, the flavor is good, not tart at all. The color inside is not ruby red at all. I was dissapointed in the honeybelle oranges because they were really small, compared to the ones I have been ordering from QVC. The flavor is okay, but not as sweet as I have had before. The size is what got me, very small. The coconut patties are good, a tad dry, but big and flavorful. I also bought some honeybelle marmalade and some orange blossom honey.I suppose I will order my honeybelles from QVC or Harry and Davids in the future.

We received our honeybell tangelos and 4 were bad. I contacted the brothers and Tim was very good at getting back to me. He sent us a whole new case of them. I will be buying from them again. I really appreciated what they did.

I had fond memories of the past 50 years of shopping at Davidson Brothers.....these memories were squashed with one visit. The owner (father) was unpleasant and rude from the very beginning.I had inquired about his holiday hours as we were trying to decide when to buy our fruit to take back home. He informed me that he had to eat too. He was in a hurry to ring us up and was didnt want to ring it up on the cash register. He was probably trying to pocket our sale instead of ringing it in the register which I totally get for a family owned business but then he didnt provide a receipt, so we asked for one. Big mistake! We didnt need an itemized receipt, just a receipt. We made a comment to each other about after all of these years it shouldnt be that hard. Well that completely set him off and he began to argue with us.....mind you we are two 50+ year old women. The other owner (son) stepped into to try to calm his father down and diffuse the situation. The father just kept going and wouldnt stop arguing. The son managed to get our receipt and get us out the door and helped us load our car. While we were out there he apologized for his Dads behavior. What a sad experience. Let me say that the son was wonderful to deal with. He greeted us right away and was helpful and answering questions about the products and giving us samples. He was happy and attentive. He seems quite capable of running the business the way it should be run but it is time for the father to RETIRE!We were so unhappy and talked about leaving this review. The thing is for as nasty and abusive as the father is, the son is totally opposite and for the sons sake I hate to advise everyone not to visit this business. If the son could take over I would think that sales would soar but not until the father steps out of the picture. He is quite the bully though, so I am sure that the son would have a hard way to go.So my advise is to use EXTREME caution when dealing with this business. When I got on here to leave this review and read the other one about the parking incident I can totally see that happening and agree. I think this man is dangerous and you should use caution when dealing with him. Who argues with two women spending a substantial amount of money in your store! Be careful.

My husband and I stopped by this charming store while shopping on Beach Street. They had the most delicious chocolate covered coconut treats to sample. My husband bought some honey and taffy. The owner was very pleasant and even spent time to chat with us and tell us about some of the nice places to visit around Daytona (like the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse which we went to see immediately after).

Very nice little citrus and produce shop. They have shipping options. I got a great deal on tangerines. Great prices too. Friendly owners and shop attendents. It has a lot of products from orange syrup to honey to the regular Florida tourist candy. They have a brochure that shows the seasons of oranges too.

We like to send fruit north throughout the winter to our friends left in the cold and snow. Not only is the fruit superior to other fruit shippers our friends say it is packet beautifully. We now stop by weekly to replenish our fruit supply. Weve always had a great experience and gotten delicious fruit.

My friend and I were visiting Daytona Beachs historic district and decided to stop in Davidson Brothers. After purchasing some fruit, we asked the owner if he sold fresh squeezed juice. He became enraged and started talking about how government regulations kept him from selling juice. Needless to say, we could not wait to get out of there. We will never return!

I was walking on Beach Street today in front of Davison’s Brothers Fruit Company and saw this guy who looked to be in his 60s harassing this guy who looked to be in his late 30s or early 40s. From what I could gather he was giving this guy a hard time about parking in front of his business. I’m thinking to myself, this guy is the business owner? The younger guy made the point that these are public parking spaces. The owner of Davisons brothers responded with really vulgar hostility and language. It looked to me like the younger guy was trying to defuse the situation and leave but the owner of Davidsons Brothers block his way and was clearly trying to provoke the younger guy into a fight. At some point the younger guy turned away from him to get into his car. Then the owner of Davidsons Brothers hit him from behind and grabbed throat. I heard the younger guy say, you are assaulting me, you could be arrested and there are witnesses. At that point he backed off. Stay away from this business. This guy is crazy.
