First time and LOVED the great customer service, the ophthalmologist was so friendly and really educational with my needs. The inside of the building is very nice too. I found it very easy to schedule an appointment online and the appointment was thorough and quick.

You feel good as soon as you enter the facility in De Pere; its bright, welcoming, spacious, and well arranged. The optometrist AMYPEOT spent more time with me and explain more things about my eyes then anyone ever had. She help me to understand why yearly appointments are necessary and very important! Also JERA one of the people on the floor was extremely helpfull in explaining their options!!!

I am giving a 3 not because I was unsatisfied with any of the AMAZING employees, but because of how obviously overwhelmed they all are! Between the phone ringing every 5 minutes, and customers walking in constantly, these fantastic team members take it all in stride but my heart goes out to them. I hope they can get some relief! Aside from that, best optometrists around!

Liz called the day before because of an insurance issue. She was very friendly, patient and helpful. When I arrived the next day, Liz greeted me after I was helped by another friendly staff member. Dr. Ertyl was great, knowledgeable, kind and helpful. I don’t remember the other two ladies names that helped me checkout and adjust my glasses but they were both helpful and friendly. They knew I was in a hurry to pick up daughter so they took care of me quickly and efficiently. I was truly impressed with everyone there. Thank you!

They made everything so easy. They called several days in advance to get all my information. Once I arrived the staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr Peot was friendly and answered any questions I had. It has been a very long time since I have been to a place of any business where there has been lots a laughter. What a breath of fresh air. Great first experience. Everyone was so nice and helpful explaining things to me. I’ve been having issues with my eyes lately, especially bad dry eyes, and they helped me find a better contact to wear for my condition and explained exactly what to do to make it better for me going forward. In the past I’ve brought up these reoccurring issues at the eye doctor and they didn’t really ever get acknowledged... yet I was in so much discomfort. I’ve had so much irritation because of it lately and was nervous about it, so talking to the doctor about it was so helpful and eased my anxiety, especially doing a full exam to make sure everything was okay with my eyes overall. Highly recommend! :)

I had an excellent experience during my visit 3/31. All of the staff and eye Dr. were very courteous, caring and helpful. The facility was very clean and very good Covid protocol was in place for customer safety.

Received the exam Id requested and changes to my prescription. All I interacted with were professional and cheerful. Plan on returning to pick up new glasses and for my next exam in a year or so.

The team at Shopko Optical De Pere on Main Ave. is phenomenal! I worked with Jasmine and Dr. Ertl, who were both very kind and thorough in their assessment and exam. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff, as well as the welcoming atmosphere of the clinic as a whole, will most definitely bring me back to them for all my eye care needs. Staff and customers both appropriately masked. I observed cleaning of equipment between customers. I felt the exam was thorough and my questions were all answered.

They are doing an amazing job, everything was clean, sanitizing was going o between customers and the spacing was impeccable. When you enter they take your temperature and ask you screening questions. The staff was friendly and Dr. Peot was kind, detailed and the perfect balance of friendly and professional. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.

This was my first visit to this Shopko Optical location. I was extremely pleased with the experience. Dr Peot was very thorough, informative, and helpful. I was very comfortable discussing my eye concerns with her. The staff was professional and friendly. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the office and its general appearance. I will definitely recommend Dr Peot and the staff at Shopko Optical in DePere in the future.

The gentleman that checked me in was rather dull. No personality at allThe optometrist was goodHowever when I went to look at frame my mask slipped under my nose and I heard one of your customer service people say to the customer say excuse me, where she promptly told me I needed to place my mask over my nose.I and the whole world knows about masking by now, but to interrupt the conversation with the customer I felt was uncalled for, and I promptly left.I left I owed it to the community to go back and support shopko in some fashion as I really never had been pleased with the service or glasses I had in the past with shopkoBut, no I will not be back and I did end up spending approximately $600 on frames and lenses from lens crafters. I will pick them up in a few weeks

I like going to this optical, the doctors talk to you like youre good friends, doing a good exam. The girls that work there are so helpful in picking frames. There is such a good friendly atmosphere there. Ive gone to other optical in the past and it didnt feel like this. I recommend it to anyone that wants good service and friendly.

My husband Bill went to the De Pere store. The lady helped pick him out a nice frame when he picked up his glasses he picked out another nice frame for his sunglasses, but when his sunglasses were made the lady wrote down his old frame and put his sunglasses in them. They corrected it when I picked it up and noticed the wrong frame but had to remake them and wait another week.

Id seen Dr. Peot previously at Shopko in De Pere and had a fine experience. Unfortunately, my most recent visit in March 2020 was unpleasant with multiple issues. The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional, with me and amongst each other. They required me to complete the screening tests twice due to their errors in administering them correctly the first time, they were blatant about how inconvenienced they were by having to screen me again, and the Dr. did not even review the second results. I have a specific concern with a spot on one of my eyes that annually I ask the optometrist to check to ensure its movement isnt in jeopardy of impeding my vision in the future. She refused to look at it and dismissed my concern completely. Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience and the level of care I received.

I love the doctors and all the opticians at this location. Not only are they friendly and helpful, but they’re extremely competent and good at what they do. Highly recommended!

I was turned away from Shopko Optical Depere for wearing a mask not the way they wanted me too. I am claustrophobic and after waiting more than an half hour to be seen, I had a hard time breathing and felt fainting because of the mask. So I had to pull my mask under my nose to breathe. Instead of the eye Dr. Peot asking me if I needed help, water or to sit down she told me to leave and reschedule with Irascible behavior. Then she went and asked her Manager Jennifer and she told me the same thing. They could care less that I had anxiety and felt light headed/fainting and told me to leave instead of asking me if I needed help! What an awful experience and then they argued with me in front of their customers instead of bringing me to a room for confidentially to ensure I was ok from not fainting. The Dr. is Very uneducated, disrespectful, and only cared about herself. It’s obvious she wouldn’t know what to do if someone fainted or felt faint. My insurance provider has been contacted and plans Not to not use Shopko as a provider of our network. My family Dr. is sending Shopko a letter on my claustrophobic condition, in which Shopko knew about from my medical record as they checked me in. The Shopko CEO has been Contacted by my insurance company, the Shopko CEO called me to find out what happened and plans to take action! I will pursue a lawyer against my civil rights! I’m done with people being rude to people that like to be in a position of power! This was all about who can be in a position of power to make you wear a mask the way they want you too. Not everyone can wear a mask for health reasons! You might want to get educated Dr.Peot in the health care field and look for a new job! Thanks for being inhuman! It was not about my safety it was about you! The eye Dr. Elm and Associates will gladly see patients that can’t wear a mask! I have an appt with them soon!

Rude people

Double check that the person you are working with orders the right thing before you pay! My husband ordered a pair of bifocals here. The lady putting in the order even went through a whole process to explain the lenses of bifocals to him. When she gave us the total we told her it didn’t seem correct since the bifocals always cost quite a bit more. She just laughed and told us we have great insurance(we don’t!). Went to pick the glasses up and lo & behold, the lenses aren’t bifocals. The same exact lady was working and pretended to not remember us, and then tried to talk us into keeping the regular incorrect lenses! She then goes on to say that the bifocal lenses are 100.00 more (no kidding, we tried to tell her that). So now we are stuck waiting another week for the correct glasses. I have to use them since my insurance only covers Shopko, so just make sure they order the correct glasses for you.

The only thing that would benefit my family is if I could have scheduled an appointment in May for my son. For some reason we couldn’t schedule out that far?!?

Small optical center located inside of Shopko. You can usually be seen that day or are able to schedule an appointment for that week. Fairly decent prices. Some frames are overpriced.
