Called this place with a simple emergency. Spoke with Drew who told me it was no problem they could help or at the least try! Got there within an hour of them closing and I was quickly approached, Greeted professionally, check in and asked to wait while they changed my headlight. I am extremely happy with the above and beyond services I received!
No words can express how absolutely wonderful this business has been. My truck broke down 6 hours from home, after traveling across country to purchase this vehicle. We had the vehicle towed to pep boys. Unfortunately since the truck is very old, they werent able to provide what I needed. BUT they did more than most.The workers stored the vehicle for two full days while we worked out the kinks in getting transport back home.One of the employees on his day off came in, looked at everything, gave honest advice and even helped unplug more things so we dont do anymore damage.Let me use all amenities even though I wasnt a paying customer-like restroom, charging my phone, etc.if youre looking for a business whos willing to give their shirt of their back, knowledgeable and overall one of the most genuine group of guys Ive EVER met, then this is it.Five stars does not give them justice.Im on my way home safe and sound, thanks to these guys.
If I can give less than one star I would I just what was supposed to be four new tires yesterday two of them are already flat. When I went in to the pep boys to tell them about it they informed me that their compressor was down and could not even put air into the tire all they did was send me to another location. I called the corporate office and filed a complaint now I have to wait until Monday because their district managers do not work on weekends. So now I have two flat tires and no solution. These people are thieves and sell used tires that are no good and have yet to make any type of arrangement to fix them. Take your car somewhere else if you dont want to have your money taken.

Don’t even waste your time, they held my car from 9am-4pm just to quote me around $1000 for a thermostat & a coolant exchange. I told them give me my car, called a mobile mechanic he fixed everything same day for $355 including parts. Highway Robbery!
After a hellish flat tire experience, the servicemen at this Pep Boys location treated me with so much dignity and respect and kindness that I had no issues handling my car meltdown drama. 10/10 would recommend, not simply for service, but also for professionalism. I was taken care of.
Pep Boys...I have never really shopped there and I see why. They are ridiculously high. 2 tires for a 2019 Camry...400.00 plus!! Not today tomorrow nor never, will Pep Boys get any of my $$$$$!!! For 364.00. Not much better, I can get 2 tires from Mavis tires. Where do you think I went?? If I had time Walmart would have gotten the business. Any recommendation for future tire purchases?
By far the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Car was left for 6 hours. Did nothing that I asked for. Not even patch a tire. Told me they couldn’t contact my warranty company. I contacted my warranty company and was told they had not received a call all day in regards to my vehicle. The most incompetent staff members I have ever witnessed.
Pep Boys on Covington Hwy was the best today Ive experienced since visiting this location. My wait time was around 4 hrs, but they made it very convenient for me during my wait time. They will expect another visit from me.
Extremely disappointed. Called the store ahead of time with a eta for an oil change. I was aesthetic when I was told by the gentleman on the phone to come on over he could take me today. I get here and I was advised to park. Seconds later another gentlemen walks up to me and says they have to “shut down because an employee was coughing badly” I sure hope this was true and not an excuse to leave early.I waited around to see if any precautions were taken and no still working some even without masks.... I will be calling corporate Monday.
Staff was very friendly. I like that they honored the price of the tire that quote me when that tire was out of stock and they had to upgrade me. Of I which that had coffee available.

I definitely do not recommend it, it is the worst experience in this location, on Sunday of last week I took my truck to have the 4 tires replaced and they told me that in two hours it would be ready, when I return 4 hours later assuming it would be ready they told me They only installed 3 because they had no more, they did not inform me before and they said that I would return the next day that they would finish the work as soon as I got there, I told them that I had to work and that I would return on Saturday, yesterday Saturday that I was Xavier He attended me and said that they did not have space for me and that I would return today Sunday between 9 and 12 in the morning, I arrived at 10:00 am and Xavier was there he said it was late, and that he did not have space for my truck and that he did not I was sure that my tire is there and that he would call me right away, it is 5:00 pm and nobody solved anything for me, really this is a nightmare

Not a good experience. Chris at the front qS an AWESOME DUDE! The mechanic? Not so much. Was told one car ahead of me and that car was already being worked on. When my oil change came up I waited patiently. I saw my truck hood open but nobody working on it. There were no other cars waiting or in the shop. I saw a guy messing around for quite awhile in the parking lot with some other person. Had to be out there half an hour with his friend. Then I notice him go in the shop to my truck. It was the guy that was supposed to be working on my oil change. When they FINALLY told me my truck was ready I paid and went out to get it. The mechanic was standing in the shop texting on his phone. I called out to him twice he turned and looked at me both times and ignored me. Chris had to go tell him to get my truck to me
Rene and his team are professional, I recommend this store to anybody who wants there car fixed or looking for tires. At this store they will treat you like family
I got my started fixed with this guys almost a year ago and it went back out so I called them told them what was going on they told me to bring it in they fixed it with no problem (warranty)!!!

I made an appointment yesterday for today at 1:00pm. I came in early (12:30) so that I could give them time to call my car lot for authorization. The manager told me that he didn’t have any appointments scheduled. So I showed him my appointment confirmation and he still say that he couldn’t take me because his guys where putting up his truck and then they have 4 cars a piece to finish. A bunch of BS. Why have an appointment scheduled if you can’t even get your car serviced when you are suppose too. It only takes 10 mins to do an oil change…. Coverlngton Hwy sucks…. Will never get my business EVER AGAIN!!!!!😡😡😡

I showed up today at 11:45am to obtain an alignment. The guy at the counter never even looked up at me. Completely rude. Made a phone call between my check in. I asked how long will it take....he said check back at 1pm. It was only an hour and 15min, so I decided to wait. I walked outside at 1:15pm and my car was still where I parked it. When back to the counter and asked the rude guy the status and he said check back at 4pm. I called a ride and came back after 4pm. Got back, paid and got my keys. Before I left I asked the rude guy was everything ok...and he said yes with no up sale. Took the car on the interstate and it is still pulling hard to the right. It appears that paid for them NOT to even do the alignment. I do NOT recommend.
Crowded in the garage area. Better have an appointment. Decent selection on things inside the store. Walmart is cheaper in most cases here

I made an appointment online on Wednesday to have my oil changed on Saturday. 30 mins before my appointment I received an email stating that my appointment was cancelled. I tried to call the location but was unable to reach anyone by phone, so I went to the location to inquire why my appointment was cancelled. When I arrived the worker behind the counter informed me that my appointment was cancelled due to there being 19 cars ahead of mine. In an unwelcoming and unfriendly manner, the worker stated that they werent accepting appointment online. This was an inconvenience to me because i scheduled my appointment days ahead and I had plans to go out of town right after getting my car serviced. If they werent accepting appointment online then the website should have been disabled from doing so or i should have be notified prior to my appointment time that my appointment needed to be cancelled. The location does not have friendly customer service and I do not recommend.

Decent price I guess. But why am I here for 3 hours for one tire change. I’ve seen other cars before mine. They said short staff. I’ve only seen one empty bay. I’ve been in good year with low staff. I never waited this long. I have appointments to go to and I’m going to miss it here.
Order a tire, my tire was shipped here! Came this morning for them to put my tire on and was told they couldn’t put it on.. the tire has been here for a whole weeks and nobody called to say they don’t put certain types of tires on a “22 rim. Been having this appointment for 2 weeks!
I knew it when I walked into the Service Center that I should just to turn around and go somewhere else. The Service clerk blinked at me like I was speaking French when I explained my windshield wipers were not working. How hard is that to understand? So he sends me outside to pull my car to the back (no specific place) and there I sat for 10 minutes. When I turn on my car and start to pull off is when a technician walks up to ask if I need help (this earns 1 star). I explain again and he says Youll have to go inside so the Service clerk can give you a price for repair......Is anybody surprised at this point 🤦♀️🤡🤡

Went to get an oil change. Was being paid by a 3rd party. After 3 hours I was asked about the company the was supposed to pay. In that time they had not even contacted them to get approval. 2 1/2 hours after that I was given my keys and told they were still waiting on approval. 5 1/2 of waiting to be turned away. Next day went to Goodyear and was in and out in under 2 hours.There are signs up that say no mask no service but thats not enforced. I saw about 10 people per hour come in and get service with no mask. I saw staff constantly putting their mask on, where they kept taking it off.STAY AWAY !!!!!
Well I needed some work done on my truck,,, if they did not want to do the work fine .. im thinking I have to see it because 5,000 is a lot for repairing muffler and compression couplings on Trans lines ... I called someone else 600.00 but people that dont know better watch out
The customer service and lack of professionalism has alot to be desired. This location does not honor online appointments. Every time I come before time for my appointment they tell me to come back hours later. I returned only to be told they dont have enough help.The times they have changed my oil the light keeps coming on. I returned to location they only turn the light off. Took it to somewhere else they tell me my oil. Change has not been done. They never too off the fluids. They say they dont have products. They are rude and unprofessional. Ive been here for my 9am appointment only to be told to come back two hours later because. O one is at work. Close this location down. Been trying to get scheduled service they never have enough help. Maintenance service they dont attempt.

Took my girl car there twice since she said she have been there before. Both times ive experience rude and unprofessional staff. Also suspected that the work was even done. (Oil change and alignment) Based on other reviews i see other ppl experiencing same thing. Definitely not taking her car there again or mine.
This location is beyond terrible. They have had my Fiancee car for almost 2 months to replace 2 hoses. Up until 2/1 we finally got the part number weve been asking for since week 2 to find out the part was only $20 yet the car was not fixed. On Monday 2/1 he was promised his car would be ready by Wed 2/3 and now its 2/4 and they have a new claim that it wont retain power well of course not no one is driving the car frequently. This has been beyond an inconvenience costing over $400 to commute to work, home and other errands. The the fact that everytime we call its a different excuse as to whats going on or just getting no answer at this location period. Paying car insurance and making car payments on a car no one car drive plus lyft charges something need to be done.
Customer service at 4105 Buford Hwy was excellent and vehicle service was perfect! I was greeted upon entering the store and Marlon was top notch when taking care of my needs. However, the store on Covington Hwy was awful to say the least!

I went here for an oil change and 2 days later a message pop up saying I need a oil change soon. I thought maybe the gauge didnt reset when they changed my oil, NO THAT WASNT THE CASE. When I decided to go elsewhere to get a oil change the gauge automatically rest to 100% oil life after my truck was serviced. So they ripped me off for a $80 high milage oil change because they never changed my oil!! I will NEVER go to Pep boys for anything ever again. I wish there was a ZERO star option
Unprofessional and bad communication. I resheduled my Oil change appointment for 11:30am today and the guy who rescheduled it told me they didnt open until 10am. I come in for my appointment and the guy said it was going to take HOURS to have my vehicle serviced. When I arrived there weee NO cars being worked on, the workers were in the back having a pow wow while on the clock. Definitely never going to try these guys again.

As a woman Im always nervous about bringing my car somewhere new. Renee and his staff are honest, thorough and gentlemen! I first brought my car in with a large piece of metal in my tire. I couldnt be sure if the metal had pierced through the tread or not. The tire was not leaking air. I stopped at another garage and they barely looked at the tire and said it needed to be replaced. I had purchased the tire at another Pep Boys and decided to take it to the one on Covington Hwy ready to purchase another tire. Xavier looked at the tire and said I could purchase another one but the metal had not pierced the tire and it was fine. WOW, didnt expect that. I later on brought my elderly mothers mustang in for repairs and again, they did an amazing job and realizing she doesnt drive at night, Renee said they would have it ready the following morning for pickup and they would keep it safe for the night. From the moment you walk into this location you are treated like a queen/king. Jim greets you and is extremely knowledgeable. Clean, courteous and willing to work with you! I recommend this Pep Boys highly!
Went in for brake service. They told me they don’t know what’s wrong with my brake system.
I wouldnt go to them if you need something fix that you cant do yourself. Example I went in to have a brake hose on my right passenger side fixed on February 24, 2021. February 25,2021 I was in an accident cause by my brake pedal malfunctioning. They said they had nothing to do with the accident happening February 25, 2021

Dont go here. They are unprofessional. They should not even be labeled as a legitimate pep boys franchise. My husband brought his car in for radiator repair. He was told that they couldnt work on the car because of the year of the vehicle. Our car has been serviced by different pep boys in the past with no problems. They order the parts and get the job done. Thats why we come back. Then he said they dont have enough mechanics to work on the car. The whole vibe was weird, and I would advise everyone to stay away from this particular franchise.
It’s a good go to spot for self service air for your tires. No need to wait on anyone easily assessable.
When I arrived the shop was already closed they closed a little early but still asked what services I needed and what kind of car I drove, employees are slightly judgmental and unprofessional, one man made a comment about the type of vehicle I drive and I cannot make this up he stated that “Nissan Altimas are like bad sex for men” not sure what that means but just a waste of time I was recommended to an auto zone by them instead.
I had a wonderful experience at this pep boys location. The were completely honest about what I needed and the prices were very affordable. The young man Xavier who I think is the manager had get knowledge of cars and he had exceptional customer service. I’ll use them for all my car needs!

This experience was TERRIBLE. I had called for days asking about a simple engine oil change. I was given a time to come in. I came in 5 mins after the suggested time and when I got there it was a different story. I’m from North Carolina and I must say this is the worst auto service location I’ve ever experienced. The people are not understanding, they don’t care to help you, and the management is GHETTO. Big let down and wouldn’t recommend.
Awful service provided by the one on Covington Hwy. When I asked the Asst parts Mgr a question, he was like I wasnt here yesterday and then the other one was doing like a shrug of the shoulders. Then son If you dont know something, find someone who does. Dont just act like we the customer dont care about their vehicles cause we can take it somewhere else where someone will know.

I went in with my 2010 Ford Flex and they helped me figure out the noises i was hearing and helped me prioritize what they thought should be repaired first. Most places push you to get things repaired without explaining in detail what they found. Well not only did they explain everything they took me out and let me see for myself. Once I decided to get the control arm bushings a complete brake job including new rotors on the front including a alignment.They were ready to get the job started. The serviceman that worked on my car was steadfast to get finished in a timely manner. He was very efficient and paid very close detail to the job at hand. Thank you for a great experience.

Ive never had a problem at this particular location but I was being proactive by making an appt online to have brakes done, upon arrival, I was told they dont take online appts, this was disappointing bc I planned my Sunday around this appt. The guy who told me this wasnt helpful and lacked customer service skills. He said there was definitely a wait bc there were four cars ahead of me, Im not gonna waste my Sunday at pep boys, if appts are not accepted, make sure youre website reflects that. Ill be finding someone to do my brakes.
Needed my tps sensors programmed. The attendant basically laughed at me. Told me they didnt have the cord to do it. Im a little confused because I remember be pep boys as being top notch locations only rivaled by actual dealerships. It appears that if you buy new tps sensors with your new tires from pepboys you are out of luck. So I ask do they tell you this before or after you patronize this business?? So do you buy new tires and sensors and have a permanent message saying tire pressure system down or do you have to find another place to pay after you spend hundreds in pep boys?? Who does that?
This was hands down the worst car service experience I have ever had. The Facebook Avi style photos of the workers attached to the Pep Boys google page was off putting and unprofessional, however I decided to come in and give them a chance. I simply needed to get two tires changed - I ended up waiting four hours. The shop was busy, however; once I got my car back to the garage after waiting two hours, the car sat on the lift for 45 mins. I watched the mechanic change out the tires and they let the car sit idle for at least 30 minutes. I noticed me questioning why this was happening frustrated the cashier Rene, however, the tires had already been changed! I asked if there was something else that was wrong with the car and Renee reluctantly said “no” there was another worker in the waiting room (she sat in there for about an hour) who also mentioned that it was taking entirely too long for this process after I brought it to her attention. What is going on at this place? The staff was rude and horrible at communicating. The wait time went for 1 1/2 estimated by Rene the cashier, to 4 hours of my time with no explanation as to what the reason was. If you are reading this, I advise you to avoid this place and try another location.

Made an appt for 8 am Tues. for diagnostic, drove out there for them to tell me they cant even look at my car until Thursday. Whats the point of having an appt available when its not?? Waste of time. Not recommended.

6/29/30 - If I could give this store a no star rating, I would. This location is so bad, that there are no words to describe. Two weeks! Two weeks I tell you it took them to repair my car. They did not provide any status updates to me about why it was taking so long. When you call, you are placed on hold for so long they you feel like youre floating in space. I had to make a special visit to the location to find out the status of repair.The people there dont have a clue about operating a successful business or know how to treat customers with proper service. Had I known it would take them a light-year to fix my car, I would have taken it somewhere else.They may know how to repair a vehicle, but other than that, I would avoid this location like the plague.
They made a horrible morning turn into a good one! Caught a flat on my spare 730 in the morning, on my way to take my daughter to school. Low on cash and pretty much out of options. Long story short, i may have been there for 1.5 hrs BUT i left with a new tire. The cashier in the auto department did everything in his power to make sure i had a safe, new and affordable tire before i left! Thank you Pepboys!
I had to have my car towed there a few days ago to be repaired. This was the third time I had to put my car in the shop in a couple of months, and they definitely took care of me. The manager Rene was really nice, and made sure that I understood everything that was going on with the car. And to make things even better, Xavier price matched my repairs to another auto shop in the area! Car is running great now, and I would highly recommend.
Crooks and the staff is rude. Will quote one price then the next manager will quote another. Even if you buy the parts from them they will not knock down the price that was quoted
Very much the place to go
This auto parts and repair shop is open seven days a week. I used to come here for repair but in recent times it has turned out to be very pricey. This is still a good place to picked up auto parts and supplies. And this pep boys also allows vet shots company to host pet vaccines in there parking lot once or twice a month that makes it convenient for pet owners.
Spent $600 getting brakes done. 3 days later no brakes on the car. Interesting.

NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE x 2= Last trip to pep boys. This is my second bad experience in a row. I bought two new rear tires for a Chrysler town and country and when I got home I noticed that the two rear tires were smaller than the tires on the front (factory spec). Called and reported the issue. Excuse given was it was a new tech and he pulled the wrong size tire.Fast forward to today. Took a different vehicle in to get oil change and tires rotated. This vehicle has 1.5 wheel spacers (just put on 2 days ago) and they broke one of the studs. This whole process should have taken 1 hour. At the 1 hour and 45 minute mark I had to ask for an update. Oddly enough the waiting room has a large glass where you can see all activity going on. I knew before I asked that they had broken a stud because I could see them working. Once they did finally address the issue with me, the excuse was the same. Its a new tech and he didnt used the factory torque specs and therefore broke the stud. Of course after the fact they stated that their policy is to not work on vehicles with after market parts (in my case spacers) but the new tech was unaware. Seems like that would be some fairly important knowledge to impart on your techs. Not sure if there is a failure to train new techs on policy or just an excuse. My gut tells me its a combination of both. Guess the overwhelming consensus that gives this pep boys a low rating is accurate.
My favorite Auto Care place. Everytime I come into this place Im amazed at how quickly Im taken care of. Always satisfied with the service.
The staff is always friendly and helpful. Every visit in which Ive had a question about a specific product they were able to quickly point it out to me in the store. Quality customer service is often lacking in retail;When you shop with this Pepboys when it comes to customer service you wont be found wanting.

We were very happy with the service received this morning from Marcus. Since I took it to AutoZone & was told the battery readout was Good battery, but had to jump start it to get it to start. As it turned out the battery was not good and a new battery resolved our issue so far. The true test will be tomorrow when when head back home to FL. Thanks so much! Duane

I have been having a hard time finding a reliable mechanic, and in Jesse and the staff at this particular pep boys, I have found that. Jesse took his time to explain everything to me very carefully without making me feel dumb. They had my car diagnosed and fixed in a more than reasonable amount of time. Jesse called me with updates giving me best and worst case price scenarios, keeping me informed along the way. This will not be the last time I come to this shop with my car.
Rene and Angela and the entire staff treated me with outstanding service. I was a walk-in and they treated me as if I had a standing appointment. They serviced the primary need that I required on my 2000 Nissan Maxima and were expeditious in rendering the service that I requested. All around great customer experience and I will highly recommend them to others in our community.

The worst experience I have ever had. As I was driving home, a light game on on my dash. So Both myself and my 6 year old made our way to pep boys on Covington Hwy to see what was wrong. The “manager” Rene refused to even look at it. He told me to go to the dealership. I informed him that I have a warranty on my car and that pep boys is in network! He said they don’t have the equipment to see what was wrong not to fix it. I asked him if any pep boys did and he said NO! I called another pep boys and told them my issue and they scheduled me for an appointment for the very next day. No matter what neighborhood you are in you should receive the same level of service! It’s sad that I cannot get my car fixed where I live, but instead have to go to an effluent neighborhood to get the help I need!Shame on you pep boys Covington HWY

Terrible service at this location. I stood at the counter 10 minutes while the guy with the gold rimmed glasses talked on the phone and never spoke to me, said hello or good morning and acted like I meant nothing to him as a customer. Finally after he got off the phone, I let him know that my tire needed changing. He took my key and went out the door to the service area and I waited to get an update. Finally I went back to the counter and noticed him and the other techs in the service area and he finally came in and I asked for an update. He said that ALL MY TIRES needed replacing and that I would have to wait while he checked to see if he could get the tires. I kindly got my key and decided to leave a go to another location where they valued my time and me as a customer. I am currently at another pep boys on memorial drive and they told me that just the one tire needed replacing and they are replacing the tire as I write this review. Stay away from the Covington highway location and go to the memorial drive location instead if youre in this area.
I came to Pep Boys for diagnostic fuse and electrical test. After departing, at the light on the corner I realized that the Pep Boy employee left all the computer sensors on. I had to re-set. My air conditioning system functioned when I arrived, when I departed it does not blow cool air. I do not recommend Pep Boys
Apparently this place is short staffed. I made an appointment for my husband Monday and today is Sunday. He showed up for his appointment and they tell him they might could get to it tomorrow sometime. Im sorry but I think they should at least have been able to call and let us know before we wasted the time going there. They literally had all week to ask us to reschedule.
