The mechanic was very patient, kind, and ultimately resolved the problem. The mechanic was good. Everything else about the experience was poor, including the customer service inside, the 3 hour wait before even looking at the car, and the additional 2.5 hours to change the sensor. This is after calling ahead the day before, showing up at open (7:30 am), and giving them a printout from a sister shop in the chain showing the exact issue that the other shop didnt have the part to replace. The long waits and poor service at the counter are not new (I waited 2 hours on an oil change there once) and I may have to break my 10 years coming to this shop and find somewhere new. It was better under the old guy, but that was years ago.EDIT: emailed a full accounting of my experience to Elvis at his request. The next day, Cindy texted me and claimed I havent been there in over a year. I texted her back with a screen grab of the survey they sent me two days earlier about my service visit three days earlier, which was from the same number as her text claiming it had been over a year. No reply yet to my email to Elvis.

The service received was excellent. The employees are friendly and professional. The manager was most helpful and attentive. She cared about my concerns and worked with me to make sure all my concerns were addressed. I highly recommend Neighborhood Tire Pros. THEY ARE TRULY PROS!

Had a nail in a tire that couldn’t be plugged. Even though it was late in the day they made sure my tire was available and even called the manufacturer for me to get a warranty discount! Very clean waiting area and felt well taken care of! Will definitely be a repeat customer, but hopefully not too soon ;)

Customer Service is great. All staff I spoke with conducted themselves in a very professional manner. The waiting room was clean and comfortable. My car was ready earlier than the date and time I was initially given. That news definitely made me happy.

I was leaving town and of course had a blowout the day before I was supposed to leave.I called Neighborhood Tire and Cindy quickly and efficiently found the tires for my car and had me on the road the next day. They fixed my tires, and I think they did a fine job. BUT, the transparency and speed was poor. I showed up before they opened, and told them what I needed before anyone else (as I needed to have critical work done before leaivng town that afternoon). They said there were 7 people in front of me - thats fine. Over the course of the next 5 hours, I had to pry them for updates, being told along the way, Its impossible for me to tell you how long it will take to put the tires on.Edit: Thanks for the reply. I understand it might have been a busy day, and Im open to coming back in.

Please give this shop a chance, really reasonable prices, if your going to this shop, please drop your vehicle off and come back to get it when it’s done. They have some serious great mechanics who takes there time making sure your vehicle is A1 nothing is rushed. Love it here

Took my car in for a service for a issue I had been having for a while . They took VERY good care of me for beyond a reasonable price. I forgot the name of the guy who assisted me, but he was A VERY big help. TAKE YOUR CAR HERE ! Great service & very Professional! I will be coming back for other services!

My car wouldnt start and I needed an oil change. Jumped it off and took it to Neighborhood Tire Pros & Auto Service. They completed the oil change. But that is all that I can say they did. They charged me for a full diagnostic and found nothing. Sent me a PDF about how my car was in great shape including the battery. Sent me home. Go to take my car out and its dead. Dash wont even light up.Pop the hood, with the PDF in hand and start reviewing the things they said they reviewed. Starting with the battery. OBVIOUS corrosion on the terminals. Husband changes the battery and its humming like a dream.If this is they only place you can get to in a pinch, you may get help. But wouldnt send my family or friends here if they need a good trustworthy mechanic.

When my regular mechanic (Midtown Tire on Ponce) of 15 years told me they didnt have time to patch a tire for me, I called Neighborhood Tire and they said theyd be happy to help. I pulled in, was helped immediately, and told itd be ready by the end of the day. I got a text about two hours later saying it was ready. The whole experience was easy, helpful, and fast. They just might be my new mechanic!!!

I dropped my car off at 8am for an oil change without an appointment before a holiday weekend. The kind lady at the desk promised it would be done by the end of the day. Very professional service. You can tell that the business is well managed.Update: after I got home and tried to remove my wheel I found out the technician had used an impact wrench to tighten the lug nuts. I broke a breaker bar trying to loosen the lug nuts and had to return to have them torqued correctly. I would never have been able to change a tire on the road. An impact wrench should never be used to tighten wheels.Apparently their computer is incorrect as to the torque. It showed 120 lb/ft when it is actually 120 nm. This correlates to 89 lb/ft.

They are experienced professionals that do their best to make sure that your vehicle is thoroughly taken care of at a price that you can afford!!! They did a excellent job servicing my car. This is my go-to place for oil changes, tire repair/replacement, and rotation and balance. The employees are amazing, communication through phone and text is fantastic, and the new dropbox dropoff of your vehicle makes life soooo much easier for this one car, limited-driving family.

My tire installation was fast and smooth at Neighborhood Tire Pros. After dropping the car off the night before, I had a call before noon indicating that everything was complete and ready for pickup. Communication was great and the staff was very helpful.

The Clairemont Ave. location is just down the street from my apartment, so I decided to make an appointment there for an oil change. I went online and received an email that I believed to be confirmation for the date & time I requested; however, when I arrived I was told I did not have an appointment. Apparently it was not a “confirmation” email and despite being able to choose 2:00PM for that location on the website, I was told they do not take appointments after 12:00PM. The rep was rude about it but I decided to make an appointment while I was there for the following week. The second time I arrived I was told I didn’t have an appointment again (I guess she forgot to put it in the system). They still serviced my car but it was very annoying and for the amount of money I spent I can get better (and friendlier) customer service elsewhere. I will likely not be returning.

So happy that we came to this location for a second opinion. The previous shop missed a very important repair to the CV Axle that was needed after they completed their diagnostics. Thankfully the certified techs at this location was able to locate and repair the issue within 24 hrs of having the car in their possession versus having it sit for almost 1.5weeks. Special thank you to Shaun who kept in contact throughout the process and was able to explain in details the issues and repairs that were needed. I highly recommend this location and will return for future repairs.

Edited: Bad experience. Poor customer service.In the past I have taken my vehicle to the Avondale location but the service was so poor (They act as though youre a nuisance) so I decided to bring it to the d/t Decatur location. As soon as I pulled in the parking lot I saw the representative that used to work at the Avondale location (that was my cue to take my vehicle elsewhere). Against my intuition I proceeded. I had 1 cracked rim and I was having 4 new wheels installed. I was told it would be 2-3 hours. I sat in the lobby, and about 2.5 hours later I was pulled in the back to be told that the wheels did not fit my vehicle. Ok, no problem. The issue however is that a reputable and experienced company should have confirmed fit BEFORE mounting ALL 4 tires on rims. So I had to pay for installation of 4 wheels that did not fit my vehicle. The wheels were brand new, which they unboxed. After unmounting they packed them back into boxes and put them in my vehicle. After paying, I returned to my car to find they had put the cracked rim back on my car (I had driven in with a spare) I brought it to the attention of the representative and he asks well how long did it take for the tire to deflate? I responded I dont know and he proceeds to say well just drive it and if it goes flat you can bring it back and well install the spareThe following day I go to return the wheels and open one of the boxes to notice numerous scratches on the interior AND exterior of the wheel. I call the store immediately and speak with a manager who requests that I bring the wheels back for inspection. When I get there, she asks the representative that assisted me to join her. They both come outside to inspect all 4 damaged wheels; both of them state theres no way we could have scratched the rims as our machine/technician doesnt touch that pare of the wheel. I explain to her that all 4 rims were brand new in box when I brought them and they were returned to the box by their technician. The wheels had not been touched other than by their technician. She took photos and said they needed to view a video of tech installing to verify if damage occurred during installation. While I understand as a business theyre required to investigate and do their due diligence, their initial response of stating it was impossible for the damage to have been done by them I found to be extremely insulting considering the rims were untouched prior to their installation.So to recap... Im out of $$$ for 4 damaged wheels, still have to purchase correct wheels to fit my vehicle and to add insult to injury, I incurred an additional expense to have someone come to my home to install the spare tire BACK on my vehicle because my tire when flat due to driving on cracked rim. I would expect Neighborhood service if theyre serving in this community.Edit 11/17/2020I received a call from the Operations Manager (Elvis Villalobos), I explained the situation and he immediately took responsibility for the damage and offered several options to rectify this situation.After a few days of correspondence we came to a mutual agreement. Thank you Elvis for promptly addressing this situation and making it right. I appreciate your assistance and service.

I have an older vehicle which blew a radiator hose and which I needed to get replaced I had my car towed here it took them till noon to run a diagnostic which wasnt needed. You can see the broken hose so they charged me $44 and told me they couldnt fix it because my system had other issues I knew that and told them that I had but stop leak to stop a head gasket leak they told me they could not do anything to my vehicle unless they repaired everything which was going to cost probably $800 for a simple radiator hose repair. Terrible place!

The work they do here is always top notch, and the prices are fair.I didn’t need the attitude from Trina at checkout though. I also didn’t need to hear her complain about Cindy under her breath. Some people just aren’t cut out for customer service I guess.

Great price and excellent service. If I had gone to my Mercedes Benz dealership, I would have paid an additional $500 for the same tires.

So, 3rd shop I took my SUV into. First one was a transmission place. Ope, its the transmission, gonna cost you 7k. second was the Ford dealership. Ope, nothing wrong, just needs a firmware update for a problem you dont have. Took it her because of a friends recommendation. Staff are great and personable.They said they saw the transmission fluid is bad also (like the first place, Ford I guess is color blind). Suggested a flush first which may or may not kill it. 50/50 chance it would do damage and kill the transmission or make things better. Im of the mindset that once you have brown Transmission fluid and shifting issues, is only a matter of time before its gotta be rebuilt. Whatever, lets do the flush. If its gonna die, its gonna die. (130k miles on the SUV so yeah). Drove it home from Decatur to Conyers, no issues. Drove it on errands several times so far, no issues.Going to take it back in 2 weeks to see what the fluid looks like and if I experience any issues, but overall, these people seem trustworthy to me. They are now my shop of choice.

The experience of repairing car in this place is just terrible. Took two entire days in checking the brake problem in my car. I told them that there is some brake issue in the rear wheels, and instead they got to replace brake rotors and suspension part in front wheels, which cost a lot! After repairing, the problem in car is getting worse. I don’t suggest people to come here except for very basic maintenance, because their expertise in diagnosing car issue is just bad!

Went in for small issue with steering wheel. Was told Id need close to $2000 in urgent repairs, so I went to get a second opinion. Found out it was a lie. Simple repair, not urgent at all. Not to mention, my car speakers were completely blown out after my car was in their care. Unprofessional scammers. Be careful!

This seems to be the year for my old Bessie to need multiple repairs. There is nothing like an unexpected repair job need for your vehicle when it is your only mode of transportation. Whether I needed an immediate tow, a quote of the work done emailed to me if I could not be present, or convenient access to a mechanic, Neighborhood Tire Pros has come through for me every time. You have to exercise patience once they have your vehicle in because you’re not there only customer (no matter how important you think you are).LOL For the most part the staff is courteous and about their business. Nice staff; Made it easy to drop my car off for a couple hrs while they changed my oil, rotated my tires, and did an emissions test. You can also chill there if you want... they have chairs, tv, and places to plug in your computer. Lots of places in downtown Decatur to walk to while you wait as well. The report on the condition of your car they send you (via text) at the end of service is very thorough and informative and will help keep me up to date on other services I’ll need to plan for in the future.

Always happy with the work that is done. However, I do feel like sometimes techs may be rushing though because the past 2 visits my warning lights weren’t shut off. This means I have to come back and have that done.Matt

The lady that works at the reception is the worst for the place has zero manners and customer service ethic she don’t even care about clients at all i had to go back and forth 3 time to get a single tire change because of her lack of communication i wouldn’t recognize that place .

Very happy with the service and work done. Brought my truck in to diagnose and fix a wobble while braking. After having another brake service company incorrectly diagnose the problem, Cindy was able to explain what needed to be fixed and she was exactly right. They took care of everything and I will be back in the future!

This place is orderly, quick, and affordable. I wont say its cheap, because that bears a negative connotation, but its definitely not as expensive as a car dealership. They stand behind their product and treat customers well. The location is unbeatable. If you dont wish to work while youre waiting (always get an appointment; this will make for a very efficient visit), you can walk to any of the nearby establishments in downtown Decatur. If you buy tires from them, you get free rotation, which is a plus.

They fixed my tire great. Stacy and Cindy were both helpful and quick to get me the tire I needed. I was able to do a walk-in and got it fixed within the same day which was fantastic. However, my car battery died less than 2 days later and I dont know if they had my car running for the period it was there.. Not sure. But overall, staff was great and would recommend this location if you need to get your tires fixed or looked at.

Horrible customer service!After sitting in the lobby for 2 hours and noticing they still had not picked up my vehicle I asked them a time frame in which they responded that they assumed I was dropping it off, although they saw me sitting there in the lobby for hours... an hour and a half later after that they told me that my wheel stud was stripped and they wanted to charge me $200 to fix what I believe they broke. Then sent me on my way and essentially wasted 3 and half hours of my time today and did nothing. The front desk attendant Brian (I believe) was lacking basic communication skills and customer service and said nothing to me other than handing me the papers after I expressed my frustration. I WILL NEVER RETURN... They have no consideration for your time, patience or vehicle.

Shade tree mechanic. Overcharging and doing needless repairs.Car was having a vibration issue when it hit 40 mph. They gave me a quote for 2500 dollars to essentially rebuild the cars suspension. New tires, struts, bearings everything. I had doubts and went to go get a 2nd opinion. The vibration wasnt even caused by the cars suspension it was a torque conversion issue when the car went into overdrive. Hence while it only happened when I crossed the 40 mph barrier. I could have spent 2500 dollars, and the problem would not have been fixed. Glad I got a 2nd opinion from the dealership.To fix the problem I got a 200 dollar transmission flush and added 10 dollar added called magic shudder fix.
