We had our entire house replaced, which included almost 30 windows. The product is definitely high-quality, and we can tell a major difference in sound reduction from the outdoors. Some neighbors have loud dogs that always kept our house awake a night and were annoying during the day, but once the windows were installed, its much quieter to the point we dont even hear the barking anymore. Priceless. There are even times when it rains, we cant hear the rain, so it has made a huge difference. So far, our power bill has shown a difference in the heat and cold retention throughout the year. We also love the new and approved function of cleaning the windows from the inside, which is a major step up from what we had in the past. In general, the windows just feel so much more robust, and we love the look. The outside look fits so well with our existing house. And the indoors, it just looks classy and renewed. We are very pleased with the quality of the product. To be completely honest, the only reason we didnt give it a five-star review was we had a bad experience towards the end of the project with both the contractor and our Pella rep. The contractor Pella hired was great at first, but as time went on, they became more and more off schedule and less friendly. At times, they stepped up the game, but only when I got on them about the deadline (I own a home business and had to shut down business during this renovation) or details they missed. Not to sound like a type-A personality, but I feel like if I didnt take the initiative to keep them on schedule and have them fix the details they said they would fix and were overlooking, the installation would have been much later than planned and the details would have been overlooked. Weve also had some issues with our siding around the windows they replaced, but these were things Ive been able to try to fix myself. With our Pella rep, she was great throughout most of the experience, but our only bad experience was after the project was completed. There are two windows in our master bath area where the wood grain just looks terrible. She explained that it was a natural part of the wood grain, but it looks like a worn area from years of wear-and-tear, when the window was supposed to have a new look. They wouldnt replace these two windows, so sadly, we had to purchase window treatments to cover these ugly spots, which then covered our new windows. It was one of our favorite views in our house, which is just sad. The overall project cost about the amount of a nice, new car, so we were just disappointed they wouldnt replace the two windows with the ugly spots in the wood grain.
