This is another chain store in Dekalb that has made changes for the better. It was a pleasure to shop. I bought a new laptop. The staff was real knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions and verify the info they gave me. It actually feels real good to finally be able to write a positive review for these guys. I mean just go to Newegg or an online computer store, youll find better prices and better customer service. If you must come here than know what you want. Most likely they wont have it or itll be cheaper online and itll get shipped to your house.

I like supporting Best Buy when I can and this Best Buy has always met my needs. I was a little disappointed at my last visit because I asked to see iPad Pros and they led me to the iPad section but there weren’t any pros out. I had to ask another worker where the pros were again and then was informed they aren’t displayed out. However, I ended up purchasing it and I love it so it was well worth it :)
Got the best help from Mark, who helped me locate the exact thing I needed for a birthday present. Shame on me for shopping last-minute, but Best Buy has all the good stuff, and associates like Mark to guide you. I wish I needed more TVs!
Seems like they are always understaffed (especially since covid) because there is always a wait anytime I go in. Took me 25 min to pick up the phone I ordered for online pickup...not because they were helping someone else out but because it took them 15+ min to even realize I was in th cellphone dept. This was after initially waiting 10 min in the order pickup line since no one was at the cellphone counter. This was late morning on a weekday and they only had a couple of customers in the store. Everyone was friendly that I talked to, however.
The store is easy to access and the staff was not only very helpful but also very friendly. Well definitely be shopping there again.

In fairness upon writing this, I’m a little heated at making contact with the store. Tried to just call the store to get information on a product that I was unsure corresponded with the website, and I couldn’t reach anyone for over 20minutes combined time. (I tried to call twice). Also I needed to call because I live pretty far away. Don’t want to make that trip to find out they don’t have what I was looking for. I get that sometimes staff get busy but seriously as many years as you guys have been in business, you should have picking the phone up worked out by now. Please do better.

The store was nice, open and clean. We had to find someone to help us while there, no one came up to us to offer help. The womens bathroom was pretty gross with no soap to wash your hands, only hand sanitizer. The paper towel dispenser was broken so they just had a small roll sitting on the sink in wet filth. Other than that, they were great
Always welcoming staff. Was able to test all the sound bars before making my choice. They also priced matched with an advertised deal with Costco. Couldn’t be happier
Its one of the smaller stores, but they have the best staff of any Best Buy around! Very knowledgeable and helpful any time of the day. Ive been shopping here for years and I only had one situation that they couldnt fix. I dont know her name, but the lady in the picture, did an amazing job in assisting me and my kids the last time we were in there!
Best buy is very busy, surprisingly still l8t inventory despite of saying supply shortage.
Used the pick-up option. Ordering online was easy and the Customer Service personnel were as nice and helpful as could be. Loads of pick-up parking available!

Even though we had a little problem with a gift card we purchased that we caught before we left the customer service was awesome comparatively speaking from other best buy dealings in the past. Molly was excellent, she was polite very quick to help and corrected the issue even though it was quite confusing error and a complicated fix she handled it very politely, efficiently and promptly. Zach who was our cashier who originally made the mistake was professional, very apologetic and helped in any way he could. I feel the error came due the complexity of our purchase.
Helpful and went the extra mile to provide accurate update information on Apple products including Macbooks and phones.
As an electronics store, I wouldnt know about a better place to shop at. The rates are not the best as I could find a better price at Amazon, but as I have recently found out, they offer a service called price match so I can match the lowest price found in the market.I would prefer online shopping to actually going there in the case of best buy. The only reason why I would want to go there would be to actually test their stuff out. Thats a huge plus. But otherwise, online prices are lower, even though you can price match.The staff at Sycamore are helpful with good ideas on what to get based on our preferences.
I will say the people here are really cool and friendly. Always wanted to make sure I was set up with everything I needed. Very knowledgeable on products in the store and gave great recommendations. If I lived closer I would totally come back to this store!!! Maybe if I am in the area. Thanks guys for the great experience.

They don’t ever answer the cold, and when I have a simple question with cold, snowy, icy weather, it would be nice if I could talk to an associate over the phone rather than having to go in. Especially when the question is so fast and simple... smh

Purchased a new sound bar, brought it home mounted it and it worked fine, next time turned Tv on Sound bar would not turn on, un plug and re-plug it would come on. Tried calling Best Buy would not answer the phone, called Samsung they said return it to Best Buy. Returned it wanted the same replacement they wanted to charge me an additional $199.00 over what i paid just 11 days ago when it was on sale. Will have to be pretty desperate before I return to Best Buy. Many other choices to buy from.

This Best Buy is like any other Best Buy. They have a large selection of electronics and electronics accessories. All of their displays usually work and do a great job to showcase the quality of the products. My only complaint is with the employees hounding you every 30 seconds. At any time it seems like there are more employees than customers and they all want to take a turn asking you if youd need anything... No comment on geek squad
I need to replace my desktop computer. I really wanted a Dell XPS but they only had a lesser Dell Inspirion to choose from. The sales guy was nice and helpful.

Called to try to get information on phones here and ended up waiting 13 minutes just to talk someone in Flint, Michigan. This store has also tried to scam my friends by lying to them about computer specs and saying they needed 16gb RAM just to browse Chrome and watch Netflix. Do not give this store your business unless you want poor customer service and to be scammed.

I asked if there was an affordable tv with 120hz refresh rate. guy showed me some tcls, said the other ones with 120 motion rate were really just 60hz and it was a marketing tactic. Only problem is when i looked it up later the TCL also only had 60hz and was also using a marketing tactic. so either the guy was lying on purpose or had no idea what he was talking about. either way i dont think ill be buying a tv from here.
I feel so hopelessly taken advantage of by this major corporation.I purchased a fridge, the protection plan, and the advanced installation service which advertised they would install a new water source for the ice maker in my fridge I was purchasing.First, we had issues because the contractors required the fridge be delivered a week before the installation took place.Our biggest issue came when the technician came to install the water source and said he did not have the skills to do it.We went back and forth three times with Best Buy to come to a solution before Best Buy said the service is “out of their scope of service.”Best Buy contracts out to the cheapest possible people with minimum skills who can’t complete advertised services then refuse to rectify the situation.I will be buying appliances from companies in the future who complete the services they advertise and don’t provide terrible customer service when trying to solve an issue.Best Buy advertises services they can’t provide to get consumers money and don’t care when the consumer suffers as a result.
Smallest of best buy stores Ive been in but the staff were very friendly and helpful and they even price match with other big retailer stores including amazon. I did not know this since many stores price match with their website only. Great location!
Shopping experience way different but in a good way. Staff very helpful and courteous. When we needed a associate to help, all of our questions were answered. Just keep your distance and wear a mask.

This Best Buy always has great customer service. My recent visit was two weeks ago. I purchased a Motorola Razr 5g. It needed to be ordered. It was busy in the store, but the store manager Lori got me started in the process very quickly. A few days later the phone arrived (one day earlier than promised) and Lori was working again (on a Sunday). She was directing the flow of customers very well as it was busy again. It seems like she runs the store very efficiently. Haram was the sales associate who activated my phone. It was complicated due to a Verizon issue and transferring my contacts from a very old phone, but Haram was extremely patient, pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. He got my new phone up and running perfectly and I love it! This was my first time purchasing a phone from Best Buy. I usually go to the Verizon store. Overall, my customer service experience was exceptional. I now prefer purchasing phones this way at Best Buy instead of going to Verizon. Great job Lori and Haram! Thank you for all of your help and hard work! I am a customer for life.

Best buy is great for when you need popular electronics and components, but dont mind a 15% increase in price compared to online retailers. When you cant wait for shipping or have money to spare this is an excellent resource. Although dont expect to find the best of the best here in terms of specifications.If youre a hardcore gamer or electronics nerd youll probably have to search online for anything particularly niche or custom.Also geek squad here is kinda lazy in terms of getting rid of computer glitches or malware... theyd rather run a quick tool and if it fails backup- reformat and reinstall the os, rather than manually go in and find a solution. Its more cost effective for them, but places the workload on customers reinstalling programs and reconfiguring everything settings wise.Also this is just a pride thing but I grew up with computers and was always the tech guy for family and friends, and I would only use a reformat in situations where there is no other option due to severely corrupted system files, no known way to fix the bug or get rid of the malware, or if the hard drive was failing and needed to be replaced anyways. For what geek squad charges, I feel like they should put more time into trying to fix the problem before reformatting, or at least offer that option as an upgrade.

The atmosphere when you walk in is always very welcoming and light spirited. Staff is always very helpful. My husband has a great rapport with the staff as well. Overall its a great place to get some electronics.

I mean its Best Buy. Not much more to say. Its a smaller one, employees are usually courteous. They have a smaller selection of movies and games then most of the other Best Buys. Nothing bad to say, but not a whole lot of good either. In other words I go there because they are the closest store to me, if there was another Best Buy a few miles away Id prolly drive the extra few miles......Hope it helps!

Went in to get a new phone for my nephew who is already on my Verizon account. Paid for an iPhone out right. The person at the cell desk helped take the payment and get the phone on. Then there always a problem with the phone not getting reception. Said his associate would help us and left. The associate had no idea what was going on in the process. We had to sit in the store for another hour and a half on top of the forty five minutes we were in there before. Didn’t help that Verizon basically did the same thing with there reps when we got them on the phone but that’s another review....
Found what I needed
Went with a friend who was buying a new phone!!! She was skeptical n really didnt know what she wanted! We spent a couple hours there....asking questions, searching, whatever......the sale person ( Marly) that helped us was fantastic!!!! Took time with us, ran many numbers for the best bang for our buck.....answered MANY MANY questions n remained pleasant the whole time!!! I when I my self am ready for upgrade Im definitely going there!!l
Best Buy has found their place providing a hands on location for testing, seeing, and touching technology. Hard to really know what you are buying from a picture. Best Buy has become the go to local electronics store.
Everyone is very friendly, they had everything I needed when I went in. Store was very clean and everyone was wearing masks.

I love going here to just see whats new. The staff is friendly enough, but the security at the door is very aggressive. Kinda makes you not want to come back. But other than that, the place is clean and bright. They do price match.
I visited Best Buy to learn what the different cell providers had to offer. The young man that helped me really did not. Trying to get him to explain the pro and cons between AT&T T-Mobile Sprint etc was an exercise in futility. Perhaps since he is a Best Buy employee he is not allowed to favor one over another?

Went as they said they had Dualshock 4s in stock, as did their website, as did their profile on Chrome. An associate out front informed me they were out, but that I could check if I like. They recommended trying the Best Buy in Rockford, a 1 hour 40 minute drive.Instead I tried the Walmart next door which had them in stock, and was generally MUCH better stocked with gaming electronics. Itll be my first stop next time.Was here a couple months ago for some networking supplies. Was unable to find anything cheaper than on Amz. Was going to price match an ethernet splitter, but found another model on Amz that was cheaper with the same level of specs. They were helpful in advising me but didnt have the products to warrant a sale, better stuff was available elsewhere for less.
