I visited this store on 9/19/2021. When I walked into the store there were two young men working with zero customers in the store. I was looking for one headlight. He looked it up on the computer hesitantly and said isle 5, but it was not there, I went back up and asked if they could show me exactly where it was. It was as if they had a huge problem helping me. When I got home and my boyfriend went to install the headlight, it was the wrong one. They employees made me feel stupid, I will not return here.

Dealt with Jon, by far the most impersonal person Ive ever dealt with.Having came from the Sycamore location they stated that this Advance carries G13 coolant.Not only did Jon have no idea what I was talking about he then immediately states they dont carry it.I explain how the manager at Sycamore was able to check the system and states you have some. His response if we have it its over theres.Take your business across the street, youll be better off.

You would think that people who work at auto-parts store know something about parts. Struts come for left and right side, and the kid working here insisted that there is no left or right strut. Assuming he knows better, we bought 2 struts amd i had to go to Batavia to pick one of them because they only had one in store.The mechanic started laughing when i showed up to replace them.So, i lost the appointment, i went to Batavia for nothing and the mechanic even told me to do my search before i buy parts at Advance Auto Parts. Probably he had gone throigh something similar.I am not recommending this store. People plan to spend a few minutes when they shop, and not get stuck in the store for a week.Overall, not too advanced. Quite the opposite.

Im not sure if its just this location but theyre terrible here. Ive bought 2 starters from them both times and neither time was my warranty taken or money returned. yes they hooked up the starter and told me it worked. after the fact I just left the shop and I saw them test it and they said it didnt work. this is the reason your lots are always empty. customer service sucks and warranty arent even Honored. you never have anything in stock

Went to oreilly‘s for brake parts because I live right by there, unfortunately I had to return everything because everything was wrong, plus I was there over 30 minutes! Went down the road to advance auto parts, I was greeted right away and I was in & out in 10 minutes and they even recognized I was a veteran and offered a 10% discount! Excellent customer service, highly recommend!

Older guy and younger guy work there. Younger guy doesnt know anything (which is fair, he is young and still learning). The older man has horrible customer service and seems to hate his life, or at least working there. You want GREAT help and FANTASTIC customer service with employees who actually know about cars? Go to OREILLYS. They wont let you down. Its worth the drive.

Such a great team they have at this location! the younger gentlemen did the most they can to help me with my problem and they eventually brought the whole team to fully diagnose my car problem. Walked out with a better running car and saved some money.

Me: Hey, I need your advice; Im looking for tools to help me diagnose an electrical problem with my wipers. What would you recommend?Him: Take it to a mechanic.Me: -.-I appreciate you trying to help, but if I wanted a mechanic to look at my car, then WHY would I be at an auto parts store.Not entirely the fault of the associate. There were 3 other employees walking around, and Im the only customer in the store... they could hear the conversation, yet couldnt help their coworker with my inquiry. Some were busy, some werent, but bottom line is; no one here was able to help me with my problem. The original problem: I needed to find out what tools I should get to diagnose an electrical problem.Your competitor down the street was able to help me find what I was looking for. The correct answer was TEST LIGHT!

Ordered a new car battery online and got a 25% discount. I arrived at the store and was promptly greeted by service representative. He retrieved the order information and offered the free install for the battery. I agreed and he took care of core deposit refund. He had the battery changed in about 15 minutes. Service was very good and efficient I will come back in the future.

In and out in 7 minutes flat. They even looked up the right brake fluid for me! Had everything I needed and even had some hot deals when you buy brakes and rotors. Seems like a very friendly staff came back to see if they had caliper hoses in stock while I was at it unfortunately they did not but had it there in 2 hours!

It’s easy to see why brick and mortar stores are failing. I went in to grab a headlight bulb and was floored when they said $130. That’s for 1 bulb. I went online and found the bulb for $40 with free shipping and no tax. I’ll just do my shopping online from now on until these stores come back down to reality.

Always there when I need them. They are well versed on the whole vehicle. From the paint to the tires. They help with things that are not even apart of their business. I need a set of tires and they directed me to the best place to go!

As with a lot of these retail type auto parts places. Experience varies wildly. Depends on whos managing and even worse whos working when it comes to your experience.Overall Ive been pleased with their service. No hassle. And they dont try to push extra crap on you as you check out, like Auto Zone does.

I had a bad hose clamp on my radiator that caused my upper radiator hose to blow off, I stopped at this advanced Auto parts and bought a twin pack of hose clamps using the only money I had. I couldnt afford to purchase coolant so I asked if I could have some water to fill my truck, the guy said yes but I couldnt use the bucket they had to fill it up. Kinda bogus.

Ive been a devoted customers for years the employees were helpful and I like the quality of the parts however the last few times Ive gone there the staff were insisted that I buy the high end and more expensive products and parts even though I didnt want too that annoyed me and because of that I wont go back.

My AC has been acting up recently so I figured I needed to recharge it. Came here and bought an AC PRO kit. I get home and am following the instructions as best as I can for someone not very knowledgeable about cars. Directions tell me to unscrew the hose and gauge part from the can and to push the nozzle onto the port. I do so and the gauge moves into the red. I repeat this a few times to make sure it was reading consistently. Since it was reading in the red I figured Id see if I could get a return on the kit since my car obviously needs professional work. I drive back and explain to the man at the counter why I wanted to return it, telling him that the directions told me to take the hose and gauge off the can and get the reading that way but he tells me that Im suppose to take off the shipping disk and reconnect the hose/gauge to the can. I mentioned that the directions had this as another step after already taking the reading. He reiterates that you have to connect it otherwise it wont properly read. Also that once the can is punctured it can not be returned. I try again with the can connected only to still get readings in the red and now I have a kit that cant be returned because the can has been punctured. While I acknowledge my lack of knowledge on car issues, I cant help but think that I was told the can had to be connected to the hose/gauge so that I would puncture the can and not be able to return it.

It must just be me but Id rather take my chances at a junk yard rather than buy parts here. 1 parts are usually wrong 2 the managment will argue with the customer 3 there is never anyone up front when I walk in. I will say the gentleman that tried to help me today did what he could, but the store overall has terrible parts and terrible customer servive. Most of the time there is people in there that have no clue what a oil drain plug looks like or where its located.

Unfortunately I unknowingly purchased a faulty auto part (confirmed by store manager) and after being installed my car stopped running and I had to get it towed. I paid to have the part installed and uninstalled and I didnt even get Im sorry, just a you can return the part. Never again.
