What horrible customer service for a manager. I stopped by this store after work to pick up a costume for my daughter. I asked the cashier about a coupon, he said there was one on the site I could use. I used my phone to go to the site, add my email and it was to send a 20% coupon to use. I waited a minute and didnt get anything so I told him no worries, to just go ahead and charge the card. Of course just as he swipes, the coupon comes through. I ask if he can possibly refund and redo the purchase to apply the coupon. He responded hed have to get the manager to do so. I said, ya if you dont mind Id appreciate it. There was a couple kids that had come up behind me so I moved out of the way so he could ring them up. When the MANAGER came up, the cashier says can you do a refund, she just got the coupon and wants to use it. He huffs and says thats ridiculous then says something to the cashier about how theyre going to get flagged for this (or something like that) and next time just say no. I was speechless at the fact that this wasnt hushed tones where I just overheard him. This was straight up having a conversation with the cashier in front of myself and another customer saying thats ridiculous and being completely bothered by me while he ran the refund. It wasnt some huge task he had to complete. There wasnt 25 other people in line where my one extra transaction was causing a hold up. Im sure they dont care because I assume they are all temp employees, but honestly, what horrible customer service!! Being a store manager myself, whose business thrives on customer service, I was completely appalled by his behavior.
