This is so nice and new and clean and the parking lot was big and I was able to park my doubles(semi trailers) comfortably. The iron skillet was so clean(see Iron Skillet review)

Petro truck stop destroyed my truck!!! Over $9000.00 in repair bills. I drove in the Petro parking lot at night in the rain and my truck hit something and died. Broken!!! The broken pothole that Petro failed to fix 120 days ago. It took 30 days to fix the truck!!!Danger! Watch out for the potholes too. They will destroy your truck!! Thank you Petro for failing to properly maintain your land! Why is Petro like the Kmart of truck stops? Dying to its last breath before bankruptcy!

My experience was at iron skillet restaurant, more than one take without been clean, leftovers still in the table, it make me think twice if I want to eat there.

Gas pumps were fast, huge interior, big sections of food, drinks, hats, sunglasses and sandals (which was great because I needed some sandals!). The Starbucks inside was really convenient and the The Iron Skillet looked nice (though I didnt go in The Iron Skillet). All and all, I highly recommend stopping here if you are traveling through southwestern New Mexico!

Refused to put perfectly good steer tire on my drives in order to force me to buy their tire. They SUCK. So the next day I went to the Loves Travel Stop in Anthony, TX and they put my tire on without any problems. Loves is great and very competitive for roadside emergencies and tires. Highly recommend using Loves.

I look forward to stopping at Petros everytime I head that way. This is a very nice store it has a Starbucks, a Restaurant and plenty of different varieties of foods, beverages and etc... I like that they have nice clean showers 🚿 with plenty of room. The staff is very friendly and polite. Yes!! Some areas of the parking lot could use some help but not all of the parking lot needs to be repaved. The only area I see that is damaged is where semis park to spend the night. This aint the Ritzs but not a bad place for a reset.

Super huge parking area for truck drivers. Very well lit up at night. There are a couple of potholes you need to watch out for, but overall, the parking area is in pretty good shape. Friendly and helpful people. Showers are roomy and clean.

Iron Skillet and their staff are top notch. Super expensive, but worth it for the food quality and staff. Downside is most of the employees are at the register standing around and having personal conversations with one line open and 7 customers in the one line. If they hear a phone ring or the ring for the cat scale they dissappear and leave one person on the register. Not worth the hassel for the prices and lack of service if you got somewhere to be.

What used to be one of the newest and nicest Petros is now suffering from lack of total and quality employees.Trash bins overflowing, dirty bathrooms. Non-existent service in restaurant (sat for 15 min, never acknowledged. Walked out)Attached Starbucks OK service but crawling with flies.Its a picturesque place to stop, just lower your expectations of normal cleanliness and service.

This was my go to place for getting my truck serviced, last couple times had horrible experiences! I know that help is hard to find but my god only having one tech at 7 am to handle all the roadside and shop work is fricking ridiculous!! Can’t sit around half a day to get a simple PM done! This was last straw I won’t be back!

The service in the shop was friendly,quick and efficient. The food in the restaurant was fresh and tasty. The employees were very nice. And the store was large and well stocked. The restrooms very clean. And plenty of parking.

Store is good, clean restrooms. DO NOT EAT at the restaurant the service is horrible. Waitress took forever was too busy chatting with her friends, spent 25 minutes outside talking on the phone and/or smoking while I sat there waiting for service.

Grabbed snacks and was gonethis is for the gentleman and nice lady doing the showers in the early after today (5/14/21) last time I was here the showers were dirty, soap bars on the showers floors (husbands too) whiskers in the sink and hair in the drains. This visit the showers were very clean!! thank you!!! it was greatly appreciated!!Also, the girl who made my espresso oatmilk drink did an awesome job! thank you all!!

Been coming to this truck stop since before it was a Petro, back in the day when it was still the old Savoy Truck stop. This place was torn down and rebuilt into the gem that it is today. High quality materials, some showers even have jet tubs! Yes. Crazy, I know, the only place of its kind to offer this. Starbucks inside, Iron Skillet restaurant, food is good, service is great. Cat Scale, plenty of truck parking and service bays. Middle of the road when going across New Mexico on I10, so location is perfect.

Greatest I-10 W stop ever! Not only is it clean, they have anything you need in the store, the restaurant has delicious food and the Starbucks is the best you can expect out in NM. I was super amazed at the awesome knowledgeable staff, from the store clerk to the manager of the restaurant who is super attentive and very professional!Makes the long trips just a bit more bearable andnot to exaggerate but this place should be a state monument in NM standards, highly recommend.

Great place to stop to fill up gas, its so clean and tidy, the restroom is really nice and clean, a lot of souvenirs, snacks, some tools, washer and dryer shower and this is the first time that I found a small theater room, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

We stopped here for starbucks then decided to eat. The gas prices were really high. Workers in the store were very polite and helpful. Got a couple of snacks from the place. I GOT A COUPLE OF THINGS THAT I HAVEN’T SEEN BEFORE! I got 2 “Hickory Harvest twists” they looked cool and I haven’t seen these flavors before. There was a huge range of other flavors. I also got the “Carolina Reaper puffs” I haven’t seen that before either and it looked cool. I also then got a couple of normal gummy candies. But the store is big like u can buy anything from there, u name it and u’ll find it. The bathrooms are also clean.

Horrible customer service from the restaurant! Service extremely inconsistent.

Sorry excuse for a restaurant. Walked in, no clean tables, the one waitress was skipping from table to table only taking one or two items from each. Finally, a seat opens up at the bar when someone got their to go order. Sat for 20 minutes, Noone acknowledged me being there. The guy waiter was too busy holding a conversation with his friend to bother. NEVER stopping here again. Only one star because I cant give a negative.

Ok so I go in sit down for 10 to 15 minutes and got no service!!so I moved to a different table and ask for service. I order a sweet tea,chicken breast,mashed potatoes,and a 🥗saled!!!so I waited another 15 to 20 mins,finally they come out together, so I eat the salded first,then the chicken breast, buy it was a little cold buy now!!! This whole time there flies everywhere!! didnt get another sweet tea till i was almost done with everything!!! Ok then I head to shower got right in.shower was clean for sure. The the only bad thang was the service!!! Thank you for listening to this.service was terrible 😢

Waitress refused to keep tea full sat over 30 minutes no tea and she thought i should leave a tip.Had chicken parm asked for parm cheese. They dont have any. So what is it that goes on top

Nice place with lots of truck parking. Showers look nice but shower heads need to be replaced. Also water pressure kinda low. The tall skinny guy is great at keeping the men’s restrooms and showers clean tho. Props to him 👍🏽. Staff is friendly.

This place has really gone down hill in the last couple of years. The food is just not good and the service is non existent. We used to stop here quite a lot for a hot meal but we wont be stopping here again for food. Save yourself some time and disappointment, eat somewhere else!

Worst experience in life at the Iron skillet. I was told there wasnt any more seating when and the back section was closed by the waitress named Angela. I told her that it was a table and after 10 minutes of making me wait she then decided to look and realized that their was a table. After I was finally seated she started seating people in the section that she said was closed. Angela finally decided to take my order after about 15 minutes of waiting. After about 45 minutes of waiting I started noticing that everybody around me was being served but not me. So I asked the other waitress about my order and she never returned. So I decided to ask Angela about my order and the only thing she could tell me was that my order was put in after everyone elses even though I was their before everybody else. Whats VERY ironic to me was that this happened to the only African American that was in the restaurant at that time. I was basically denied any type of service. Im a professional driver who works through a very large company and has an account with TA Petro. I WILL be talking to them Monday about what took place!!!!!! By the way this took place at the petro in Deming NM

Looks like it was poppin at one point, skillet was shut down so roller food for dinner here. Nice and open concept, quite large, lots of amenities, will try and come back around here if Im out this way later once covid is gone, may give it more stars but only 3 because everything was closed due to covid. Not their fault but it is what it is.

Great showers and friendly cashiers however cant say the same thing for the Iron Skillet. Took a long time to get waited on, get our food, and when we got our food it was overcooked. One waitress working very slowly but cant blame her as the manager was sitting down eating and talking with someone he knew instead of doing his job. Wont eat there again! We were tired and very hungry and just needed to get out the truck for a while.

Really nice and clean place. The staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Only complaint was the hot coco at the diner. It was somehow off and didnt quite hit the spot, but still good nevertheless.

The iron skillet has excellent food and excellent service, clean bathrooms,and a great variety of food. Also very good prices. Their Starbucks has excellent drinks and their breakfast is excellent. Very friendly staff also,with fast service. Their store has anything and everything you could imagine. Great gift ideas. Great variety of candies,drinks,books,DVDs, aromatherapy products,hats shirts,basically anything and everything!! Lots of parking for big trucks also. This is one of our favorite stops.

Although the place is nice and has a lot of potential I will never eat at the restaurant again. I have had some bad meals but this was by far the worst. Hopefully the day shift has better cooks.

Star buck in side this place is horrible

The shop is hands down is the best kept secret. Spent the night needed some service to the trailer before heading into shakey. They knocked it out kept me on schedule found a leaky air bag on the great price swapped it out. The young guy made money I was happy and never missed a beat. Ill be back for lightweight issue every now and again. Keep up the good work.

A great place for truckers: lots of facilities for showers, etc. HOWEVER, I should note that the gas is a wee bit pricier here compared to other nearby gas stations. Just something to keep in mind.

My husband is a driver and 2 days ago he filled his thermos to go. The woman at the counter told him he couldnt have it. He informed her that he was paying for it. She was rude. I suggest she be informed how many hours a driver is behind the wheel. He will not stop again.

A really nice truck stop to fuel and park overnight it’s quite and clean. They have a nice restaurant inside and a friendly staff. The restrooms are very clean and fresh coffee with fast food available

We stopped at this particular Petro station mainly because of the Starbucks located inside. The main store is clean and well stocked and theres plenty of RV parking if you dont mind being with the big rigs. We did fuel there on our first stop and it was easy in and out for our 34 coach. We will definitely stop again when traveling through this stretch of country!

Its a good Oasis in the middle of the dessert!

I am a young girl traveling 25 hours alone and I stopped at this service station not just on my way to my destination, but on my way back as well! The area is well lit and considering the length of my drive I needed a place to pull over and get some sleep. I felt safe (even protected?) stopping at this station and hopping in my back seat for some shut eye. The bathrooms are clean and well kept, the coffee is FABULOUS and the staff is very kind. Even the patrons are kind! They have a variety of things in the store which is super convenient to people like myself who always forget something. The only downfall is the train tracks right across the highway, but what can you do 🤷🏻‍♀️BONUS: This is the first gas station I’ve ever been to that had cattle guards on the drive in!

Clean bathrooms with a lot of stalls. Huge place, but not a very big convenient store selection. Lots of pumps to help get in and out quicker. Ample parking in and around the facility.

So me and my husband stop here to use the restroom and dine in at there restraunt. The whole place was nice and clean. We order our meal and there was an issue with my meal. I ask for the manager and he came along to what the problem was. We then decided to take our food to go. The manager discounted our meal which was nice of him. I just want him to know to provide more training to the cooks. Point out there mistakes, it happens. Problem solved and thank you. The pork chops were good.

This is an amazing Petro of you get a chance to stop by you can treat yourself to a Starbucks. There is also an iron skillet to eat at if youre hungry. I also really like that this location has a gym, a theatre, as well as a game room providing plenty of entertainment if youre going to be there for a while.

Pulled in to shop for spare mount. It took two hours to mount one spare. Coincidentally as soon as I called and spoke with manager it miraculously mounted on rim. For a place that changes tires daily and is nationwide this is a very poor service. The fact that employees are hourly and dont care how long it takes to do a simple job is pathetic. Ive mounted and dismounted two tires while in a bay in 20 minutes.

Extremely clean inside, in every part (main store, in the Iron Skillet and Starbucks, the bathroom and the shower I used). Friendly staff all around. Good selection of items you may need while traveling. The shower had nice, hot water. Only complain is the floor in the shower room can get slippery, so definitely be careful getting out.

Plenty of truck parking. Truck service was spot on. No excessive waiting. All the shop techs were so friendly and funny too.

Pleasantly surprised to find this station really clean, with a nice variety of items to purchase. Coffee was good. Our meal at Iron Skillet was tasty and the service by Irene was prompt and pleasant. Will stop again on next trip passing through to Phoenix. Traveling with RV AND ONLY complaint is that it was confusing trying to find parking space out of truckers area. There is large parking area with space to turn around located in back of station. We werent sure until we got inside restaurant. There are islands and several areas posted off to prevent access. Would help to have signage directing folks to back lot and good turn around space.

Unlike most reviews you leave 7 months after you visit a place, I actually recalled being disappointed not having more time to spend looking around the store. They had quite a few things here, but I was in the middle of a 1000 mile drive that day and needed to get down the road. Very convenient exit off of I-10. I just noticed it was also off Highway 418. Anyone who knows me knows how funny that is.

Went to Petro for first time traveling back from the East coast. I stopped in Deming for some odd reason, but happened to go to the Petro there. Got something to drink and realized that I had a flat on my driver side inside drive tire. Read reviews on the Petro and I have to say I was skeptical, but I needed to get the tire done. It was very late, so my options were limited or very expensive. As I pulled into the bay, I was greeted by this fellow named Greg who happened to make me laugh before he even introduced himself. Not only did Greg know his stuff, but he was so friendly and made it such a pleasant experience for me so early in the morning. Whenever I come through deming and I need work done, I will visit Petro and make sure I plan it when Greg is working !! Thanks a ton Gregory!

Nice manager. She was so helpful! When I vouced my concern about a couple who were harassing and threatening me. She took charge and made sure they left me alone and I could safely depart. Thank you!

This is by far the best truck stop yet! Showers, game room, theatre and an iron skillet?!?!? If you need a place to relax or stop at its here! My husband and I traveled from Odessa Texas trying to get to Tucson and we needed a big break and thank God for this little heaven!

Large clean building and restaurant. Spent 45 minutes waiting for a waitress. Got up and left. I wont waste my time or money 8n this place again

This is a really nice gas/rest stop. I travel alone a lot, and I feel safe stopping here. It well lit at night. The employees are friendly and the building is clean and cared for.

My husband and I live in Deming and come here to eat every once in a while. Weve always been happy with our meals, quality and quantity. Usually we have left overs to take home. Their soup and salad bar is excellent. Wait staff has been quick and patient. Their pies are wonderful. Its hard deciding what flavor. We plan to eat our Christmas dinner here, and we hear there is a Christmas special. Merry Christmas to all the good people who give up their holiday to serve the public.

An adequate truck stop with small variety of stores and restaurants to eat at and rest while youre driving to wherever youre going. Place was relatively clean in the bathrooms are adequate.

Always clean restrooms. Nice staff, well organized store. They always have displays of hot sale items for your convenience. The shop is great, if your truck has to stay overnight, the mechanic will take you 11miles to the hotels. They dont dilly dally around either, they get you fixed and on your way.

Play pool while waiting on your laundry to finish. Eat good food with the family. Spill your insides on toilets you actually feel comfortable sitting on.Forget Deming, stop here instead!

The very first Iron Skillet Ive ever seen that didnt have a buffet, what a disappointment! Soup and salad bar, but thats it. Aside from that its a nice, clean spacious store. But they should absolutely rename the restaurant - let us say to Iron Skillet Express, or something similar.

Pretty huge, they got a dining area, Starbucks for morning time or Starbucks lovers. Two gas stations and lots of parking spots for night sleep pass by. Looks nice and well put togather not just random and huge.

Just ok travel stop. Restaurant closed. Lots of unfriendly signs about wearing a mask... or else!!!
