Great service at a reasonable price! I took my Kia Forte in for a transmission fluid service. They did a free diagnostic first to make sure the service would be appropriate. Very knowledgeable and explained the diagnostic and inspection process - they contact you before doing anything that will cost you money. Dont normally do this but issuing a fair warning to anyone wanting to get good customer service and transmission repair at the location Dallas drive in Denton Texas, Jimmy/owner/? Would not help at all locating previous vehicle, absolutely no customer service, rude, no documentation of repair, claimed this was my responsibility?screaming on phone, places blame on customers who needed information, wished they spoke in that manner before repair, wouldnt have this problem now.Cannot believe the manner in which they speak to customers after repair. Will never go back or suggest anyone going there. Beware of this location. Check BBB, they say they are new owners, take my word and experience and go somewhere else.

They are supposed to be a transmission shop and dont know what a slip yoke eliminator is. And refused to even try to figure it out. But its all good I can have plenty of people that wants business. Have 3 jeeps and am wanting to get all done.

I am new to the area and was told to go to Eagle Transmission by another company that did not work on transmissions (After getting some more information the Denton location was not the one to go to). I would advise anyone looking to get transmission work done, shop around for a better deal and even better service. In the end I found another transmission shop and turned what would have been a 2,687 then a 3,275 bill into a 1,600 for the same work, with a MUCH FAST return time. I took my truck to Eagle Transmission in November 2020. I had a leaking issue I needed repaired. I was at the shop on a Tuesday morning 8:30am, I was given a call by 11am, from Jimmy, stating, it would cost 1,375 dollars for labor, replacing the seal and fluids, and that they would call me back if there are any further issues.By 2pm the same day I was told there were 8 other things that needed to be repair and the total cost would have been an additional 1,314 dollars. I told Jimmy that I would not be able to afford that, at this time. Remember all this happened on the same day, no further repairs need other then what I paid for, all they had to do was put my transmission back in the truck, that said, I was told that I would get my truck back on Thursday. I did not get my truck back till MONDAY. Due to internal scheduling that should not have affected the customer, and none of this was communicated ahead of time. When I went to pick up my truck the the following week, the documentation did not reflect everything that I had paid for. I was told that the seal were replaced but was not documented on the invoice. I also found out that my specific leaking issue could have been fixed by replacing the torque converter. They did not want to meet the customers request for the repair.To Eagle Transmissions credit, the owner, after a conversation we had offered to make all the repairs, pick up my truck from home and a service check-up for a low cost of 1,900 this would have been a total of 3,275 to me based on the 1,375 I already paid. I REALLY REALLY wish I had known better. My truck is running GREAT and the money I spend just to take out my transmission would have covered more then half the cost of repairs at another auto house. I took my truck into another shop on Thursday afternoon and picked it up on Saturday afternoon. A 1,600 repair for the same thing is MUCH BETTER then over 3k.Based on what the owner of the Denton location had to say in response to my post. I want to make it clear. There was no MISTAKE taken by Eagel Transmission to correct my invoice. Because while I was there I asked to have all services I paid for accounted for. Not a single person offered to make the change and I was there for a while because if it is not documented it did not happen. I chose to go to another location and had my transmission COMPLETELY restored for 1,600 dollar. Every signal part and issue Eagel transmission suggested I have fixed I had done. They best part is these guys has my truck in an out in 3 days. They knew nothing about my truck other then what I told them based on Eagle transmissions recommendations and they still took the time to do a full diagnostic for me.Listen, if you have 2,500k to drop on repairs by all means Eagle transmission will take your money. I just want you all out there to know you have timely, cost-effective and fair options.

I don’t even know where to begin. Last year I dropped my sons car off at Eagle Transmission in Denton Texas to have it looked at. They called and couldn’t tell me what was wrong with it but said it looks like the transmission had to be replaced.They said they would finance but (after repairs) they back out of the agreement. I took them at their word and got played by a crooked repair center.Oh, it gets better, just recently I have been getting paper from NTTA (seems this Charger is running up and down the freeway from Denton to Dallas frequently) and its still in my name. I owe NTTA hundreds of dollars?My wife called them only to get cussed out by their manager (Jimmy?) he had the nerve to say not to worry, the Charger was recently totaled. What?  How many ways can they run a crooked deal?So, be wise to this place don’t even read the reviews, this is a BAD place, they will lie, cheat and steal, I know I’ve lived it with them. Now they cuss my wife when she ask them to put the charger in their name before running up a NTTA bill that we have to pay for.Listen, They say they have an A+ rating with the BBB but when I checked on this the BBB says “were sorry we found no results for Eagle transmission in 1600 Dallas Dr. Denton Texas”, before doing any business there contact the BBB and see for yourself, don’t take my word for it and certainly don’t take their word for it, they don’t have an A+ rating THEY ARE CROOKS

Very professional and HELPFUL staff, excellent service, would definitely recommend to anyone. Went in thinking my transmission was going out, turned out to just be a missing caliper bolt instead which they found and replaced FREE OF CHARGE! Saved me a lot of money, and a lot of stress. My whole family prefers to receive service here, and I agree why!

The last thing I want to do is take my car to a mechanic. I have to say that I could not have been more pleased with my experience here. They only did the work that I asked. They explained everything in terms that I could understand. My wait time was minimal and comfortable. They checked in on me and offered me water while I waited. Once finished, they gave me tips on how to maintain my vehicle until my next checkup. I will be sure to take my vehicle there from now on. I would recommend this location because of the knowledge, honesty and kindness of the staff here.

Great Transmission Repair Specialist and Customer Service

I guess I can’t say I fully purchased services from this mechanic, but what I can say is that the staff is friendly, the inspection is free, and from what I can tell, despite the fact that I was not able to purchase full services due to the nature of my vehicles particular issue, it seems my car was left in better shape than it was before. The inspection was timely and thorough, a quality further appreciated due to it’s freeness. I have been to many mechanics that were seemingly unfriendly or downright unhelpful, but this shop seems really great, and patriotic to boot. If you’re unsure about cars, you can probably trust Eagle Transmission, but then again, don’t trust *me*, I’m not a doctor.

Great people that work there. Very personable and passionate. My Jeep is still there but it will be ready tomorrow so Ill let you know how everything works out but I have a lot of confidence that it will be good.

Eagle told me bring it in for a free external check first and I did and they had it for a few hours and I got a call back saying my transmission was fine and that it just needed a service and some mounts. Took my truck in for a diagnostic having some idea that it was my transmission causing issues. Turns out I had 3 cracked U-Joints, a bad yoke, and needed to get my transmission serviced. The guys at Eagle Transmission kept me updated on the process day to day, and it only took 2 and a half days to get my truck back in working order. The manager even took the time to show me what the parts that had issues and give me some insight into the whole process. My truck is running incredibly smooth and shifting extremely well now. Id go back to this shop in a heartbeat. Their skill, responsiveness, customer service, and integrity is unmatched.

Fair price for certified technician transmission work. I had my Jeeps transmission rebuilt and am happy with the service provided and the work done. Robert (owner) and Casey both communicated with me through the entire process and were patient with my questions are requests for photos and feedback from technicians. Brought the Jeep back after several hundred miles because of a small transmission leak and they fixed it up no questions asked.

I went by for an evaluation. It was late in the afternoon, near closing time but they heard my concerns and needs about my vehicle. The staff was really quite friendly and knowledgeable. Had my second car done here after another transmission repair shop tried to overcharge me and left transmission is a box. Customer service here at Eagle Transmissions of Denton was great and their customer services was beyond my expectations. They were able to get my transmission back together and order missing parts that the other place forgot to place in the box. Upon rebuilding my transmission they were also able to determine I had a water pump leak. So glad they found that and were able to fix it right away at a reasonable price. They were able to get me approved for financing even though my credit is not perfect. Upon also replacing the mounts, my car now runs smooth and it drives and shifts perfect. I have had 2 cars repaired here and trust these guys to take care of me. When I did have a problem with my first vehicle they fixed, they got me in right away and took care of the problem. Had me back on the road in 2 days. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs their transmission checked.

Great service! I was told by the dealer that I needed my transmission replaced and at a crazy amount. When I came here, they told me that it was just a sensor that needed to be replaced. They really do their best to save you money when they can.

Fast, friendly, reliable service. Towed car in, found out that it was not major. Vehicle was ready within a few days. Repairs came with a great warranty and now my car is running better than before. Customer service was great, explained everything up front before repairs where done.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND. This shop is a prime example of how to run a good, successful business. I went in to the shop not knowing if my car was running rough due to a misfire or transmission.. They did a diagnosis and road test for FREE and even gave me a ride back to my apartment while I waited for them to diagnose it. The problem ended up being a misfire which they couldn’t work on (they do transmission work mainly) but they didn’t charge me a dime even though I didn’t get work done there. The owners are friendly and personable and are truly there for the CUSTOMER. Too many shops will charge an arm and a leg just to diagnose a car and this shop did it for free while being easy going and answering any questions I had. This is the best experience I’ve had with an auto shop and highly recommend anyone in the Denton area to give these nice people a look. 10/10 would go back to this place.

I’ve never been more disappointed, dissatisfied and overall shocked at the level of service we were provided at Eagle transmission in Denton. We had our transmission replaced here 10 months ago, paid over $4000 for it. Once we got our car back it did great for a day or two, then it started acting weird again, after we brought it back and the ran more diagnostics on it, they kept telling us it was the brand new transmission that was having issues. Got that issue fixed and Drove it for a couple more days then it started making a rattling sound, turned out that they forget to put back the air filter, so we brought it back and had filter reimbursed ( who forgets that??) The entire time, the manager was rude, acted like we were waisting his time . We paid for service to be completed properly, it was a constant disruption to our lives, leaving work early to drop the car off. Well now fast forward to 10months after they finally got it right or so we thought. The transmission started slipping again in the 6th gear, we took it back, they again ran diagnostics on it, said it was electrical and from their track record we weren’t 100% about . Took it to another shop to run the electrical diagnostics, test showed it was mechanical. Husband called back manager of the site, explained the outcome of test, manager refused to acknowledge it was mechanical and kept stating we were out of warranty and proceeded multiple times to hang up on my husband when he called. We reached out to the branch manager and he also stated that they weren’t going to do anything about it after giving him 3 days to call us back. When you pay $4000 for a new transmission we expect it to last more than 10months. We will never recommend and we will passionately advocate to not have anyone else go through this non-sense with this establishment and their lack of good quality service and manners.

The worst experience with Jimmy, very rude to me as a woman. He made threats to place a lien on my car, when he gave me an unexpected bill, of 3,000 dollars or pay 1000 for checking the car. I expressed can they give me until Friday to pay this large amount, and he said youll be paying an additional 35 dollars a day. When all I wanted was some time and for them to fix my car. Jimmy can go to hell.

I wouldnt let this place ever touch my car again. Had my car over a month, didnt know what the heck they were doing....on an old car with a common transmission. They talk real nice...but geez, supposed to be a transmission shop. Theyd do better doing dentistry.

I will never go back to Eagle Transmission.We have a CVT transmission and our vehicle was hesitating on initial acceleration. After they replaced the transmission (and $4,000+ later), it still had the same symptom and I ended up fixing myself with a $30 engine part because it turns out the engine was sucking too much air through a huge hole in the air intake hose.When we initially took our vehicle in and had their diagnostics done, they determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. They guaranteed me on several occasions that this would fix the problem “100% guaranteed”. We were debating on whether to fix the car or sell it. So we took the plunge since they guaranteed it would fix the hesitation issue. They replaced the transmission and it still had the same issue. They had our vehicle for 6 weeks trying to figure out the issue with no success. They even replaced several other parts at no charge, but eventually they gave up. And when I picked up our car, the interior door handles and floormats were covered in black grease, which they eventually cleaned. The engine compartment trim was missing about 10 fasteners, which they replaced. And the under body trim was also missing about 10 fasteners, which I found later when trim parts started falling off the car.On a positive note, the staff was nice and professional and they even paid $30 a day for us to rent a car to use while ours was in their shop. But that didn’t make up for the thousands of dollars we had wasted on their 100% guarantee that it would fix the issue.I will never go back to Eagle Transmission.

Best transmission service in Denton. Expensive, but worth it. Their financing company are crooks though.Update... Several months later my transmission is still running great. When looking for a transmission service a few months ago, I called several places. Most of them were cheaper than eagle but then I looked at why. Most other shops use reconditioned parts and that doesnt seem to be the case with eagle. After I looked at my newly rebuilt transmission, it looked absolutely brand new, and my classic Silverado is over 25 years old. If you love your vehicle and want the best, pay a little extra and go to Eagle.Still dont like the financing company they used. I needed 28 days to pay off the loan and it cost me an extra 800 dollars. If eagle offered some sort of 6 months same as cash option then I would petition Google reviews to allow me to give them 6 stars!8 month update...Transmission still running like a champ!!! Had hoped for an upfront honest shop after speaking to them on the phone. Free towing with a major repair does not include nearly $2000 for a used trans. I stated my expectations up front to try to keep it under $1500 or so. The inspection they do externally is basically free, but does very little to determine any problems, so, a phone call done on a hands free to discuss an internal inspection lead to almost $900 to determine almost nothing was good in the trans and would cost over $4k which I could not afford. Initially, before having them tow my vehicle less than 20 miles for $175, and find out the battery ended up being dead which I replaced on their lot, I spoke of another shop wanted to put a used trans in, but wanted a real trans shop to look at it.I got deep into debt with them not going with a used trans in the first place, but ended up getting a used trans anyway for about $400 more than the other shop wanted, and when I picked up the car, my service light was on, traction light was on, nothing stated when I paid, emergency brake pulled so tight my wife could not disengage it.After a few checks and more expenses, found they left the connector for the mass air control disconnected causing both lights. I now also have a dead tire pressure monitor that was not bad before.I highly recommend going elsewhere!

It was vary very bad experience!!!!! First, They closed earlier then it supposed to be! I went to pick my car at 5:00, but nobody was there but it should be closed at 5:30. I called them, they just ignore my phone and didnt tell me whether they would come to give my key back to me or not!Second, I eventually had my cars engine fan fixed there, and payed whatever they asked! But my windshield was broken right after I had my car on the way home without collision!!! They said that was not their business, How a coincidence of this could happen!!! My car windshield was totally fine when I around and drove for them to repair, and it was so weak right after they have done things on my car!!?? Finally I had to pay my self for the windshield!! They also cannot offer films/records of how they dealed with my car.Lastly, my car windows shade is also disappeared during these processes, nobody can tell where it is .........

I have a 1982 Corvette and I brought it to them back in May of 2016, for a transmission rebuild. The price was more then fair and they did an awesome job, great service and exceed my time expectation. They warranty their service. I had to take it back to them in February of 2017 because it wasnt coming out of 1st gear. They fixed her up for me and even took it upon them self to fix my trans leak going into the radiator. All in all they are amazing, Steve is one of the best men Ive had the pleasure of doing businesses with concerning my Vette. I would give them more than five stars if I could.

John is great at what he does. Service with a smile as well as pure honesty (a quality you dont typically expect from a mechanic). He is very straight forward and will do anything to save you time as well as money. He even drove me 15 miles to work one day because my car took longer to fix than expected.

Came in for a vehicle check out and they got my car check out quickly. I was happy to find out I didnt have an transmission problem and it was something minor.

The owner was very thorough in explaining what was going on with my BMW X5. I initially came in for routine maintenance and upon further inspection discovered serious transmission problems. He told me about this thing called a torque converter which had gone bad. He also explained that the ATFluid was heavily contaminated with specks of metal and other harmful substances. A simple flush was not possible. I decided to go with the custom rebuild service which set me back $3800 dollars. The warranty is superb and financing was easy to get with 0% APR. I trust Eagle with my transmission needs.

This place is the absolute worst. Eagle Transmission messed up my car and ended up paying for it. I wrote a detailed review a few months ago while they still had my car and they threatened to not pay for the work any longer unless I deleted it, so I did. They fixed my car wrong multiple times (with a paperclip, no joke). If you value your car, dont take it to Eagle Transmission.

Had a bad experience with old management and owner however the new staff and owner have made it all good. Upset about my initial experience but I am feeling much better about it now. Everything works and I have been made whole. Thank You!

I have a 91 Ply Colt which has needed quite a bit of work lately. Eagle T in Denton has done an excellent job with it. I have been most impressed with their customer service as they have actually gone beyond what I would ordinarily expect. I have also experienced that if something is not to your satisfaction, they will accept responsibility and promptly fix it in a fair and friendly manner. I will happily continue to do business with Eagle T in Denton and highly recommend them.

Wow where should I begin? My experience with Eagle Transmission of Denton was one of best experiences Ive had with any mechanic shop. I simply took my car up there, they diagnosed it, and fixed it. I had a sensor issue which wasnt allowing my car to recognize what gear I was in or what it should be in for that matter. I thought my transmission was going to have to be replaced but it didnt. Something as little as a sensor had my car acting crazy. I was driving my car in no time with no issues whatsoever. The team there are diligent, professional, relatable, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone because the service there is fantastic. Thats how a shop should be ran.James

The manager Steve is very friendly, as is the rest of the staff. And they are all super helpful, Steve even offered to have someone give me a ride home.

I have used Eagle off and on for a number of years now, and as far as I am concerned no other shop will work on any of my vehicles. Aside from the Steve (the manager) and Jeff (the assistant manager) being really nice guys, they simply do outstanding work. I have had everything from major to minor repairs done at this location and I have had wonderful experiences each and every time. The one time there was a slight glitch they fixed the problem for no charge and made sure I was a happy camper. I know some people complain about service time, but come on, look at the parking lot. Any place that simply cannot shoe-horn another vehicle into the lot must be doing something right. These folk get it and you will be doing yourself a favor if you trust them with your business.
