Went through Lowes to order a quartz top. They said Stone Edge would contact me to do a measurement. After two weeks waiting for a call I checked with Lowes to find out if they had sent the request. They sent Stone Edge another email. After waiting for another week, I cancelled the order. I figured after three weeks they hadnt measured it. How long would it take to get installed. After reading the other reviews Im glad I cancelled.
I wish I could give 0 stars. The installation was horrific. They measured inaccurately, there is a large hole in my sheet rock and the countertop edges did not match. The staff that answers the phone on any given day may be dismissive or rude. I’m very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this company that is now named Blue Sky countertops.
I had an appointment to measure. They said they couldnt come after 500. I took off work half day. I was scheduled for 1 to 4, they did not show up till almost 6! Today they were supposed to install. I had a time of 8 to 10. It is 145 and they still are not here. Ive been told since 930 this morning they are on there way. I guess they are walking from Denton. Most horrid customer service ever.
Wow. Stone Edge did an amazing job on our quartz countertops. I inherited my grandparents home from 1958 and I believe they would be proud of the quality and upgrade in the kitchen.Great job and very please.
Rude customer service, not helpful
We had a pretty bad experience with Stone Edge. They were the installer Lowe’s subbed to for our solid surface countertops. After measurements, we had waited weeks for our countertops (complete remodel, so no countertops, so essentially no kitchen). Stone Edge kept saying they were backordered. We finally contacted the manufacturer and distributor to find out that Stone Edge had yet to order the product. We immediately called Stone Edge back, asked again about the status, and were lied to again that the product was on backorder (they did not know we had been in contact with the distributor).Due to this, Lowe’s refunded us back more than their profit (agreeing that Stone Edge was being untruthful).Once the product was in, Stone Edge subbed the job to someone else. Fortunately, the guys doing the job were very good. Unfortunately, they didn’t get any of the measurements (done via lasers and an ipad) from Stone Edge, so they were unable to fabricate anything at their shop, meaning they had to fabricate everything on our front lawn (which is a very messy process). The installers were expecting it to take a few hours (they didn’t know the kitchen has multiple angled cuts), but were here for over eight. When the rep from Stone Edge did the measurements, he pretty well convinced us that we can’t use the product as a backsplash (one of the reasons we wanted solid surface) and that the drain runnels we wanted will be handled at time of installation. The installers informed us that we certainly could have used this product for the backsplash, and that drain runnels would have needed to be on the original order. When trying to get information from Stone Edge, we were treated pretty rudely. In retrospect, I think the individuals we spoke with were working in a pretty bad environment (one even snapped at us about how she’s spent her entire day dealing with people trying to find their countertops). I think they’ve got a significant backlog of work.In trying to find answers, we called the Houston location (an attempt to work our way up the chain), and were told they had recently sold the DFW location, and that they’ve heard other stories like ours.Maybe they’ll get it together, but until then...
