The ultimate mecca for fantasy miniatures. This store carries all their product lines. The display room is amazing - filled with glass cabinets with thousands of amazingly painted miniatures. Can spend a solid hour and still not see all. We had the factory tour by John who is caster and mold maker. He was fantastic! Really understands the business and enjoyed taking us around the facility and explaining the process of what goes into manufacturing paints and miniatures. Highly recommend the visit to anyone interested in the hobby or American manufacturing.
Reaper miniatures has the best online customer service that I have EVER ran across! The bones line of minis is all around great- INEXPENSIVE, easy to paint, high quality sculpts. The paint line is great too- highnpigment acrylics that are rock solid. Excellent quality control and consistency that rivals much larger companies. You have won a lifetime customer :)
It so awesome to live close to Reaper. I could spend way to much money in this store. Its nice that if Im looking for a specific miniature I can go by the shop and pick it up. I just put primer on my first paintable mini so we will see how it turns out. Service in the store was top notch and very helpful.
Had such a great experience at Reaper! It was our first time going to the physical store, and when we came in, they let us know how to look up minis in the system, because they had a lot more than what was on the shelves. Then they asked us if we wanted to tour the place. They first led us through a set of amazing looking dungeon doors, where we got to see painted minis on display, then we got to see the molds, the blanks, a bunch of cool behind the scenes stuff, including where they mix the paints. They also had separate rooms for playing magic or mini painting. You gotta go to any place that lets you walk into doors like this:
Awesome store - great prices and always have what I need. Can’t wait for organized play to start back up!
This is a great store to purchase Flesh and Blood online. Fast communications, best prices youll find online, and flexible customer service.
1 star because two miles from my house1 star because of the availability of products1 star because of friendliness of staff1 star because of the available selection of miniatures is unbelievable.1 star because they never stop putting out quality new products.Cant go wrong with this place. I still use the base paints I bought here three years ago and love painting the miniatures.
One of the greatest stores ever just great people and awesome selection.
Would definitely recommend this place. seriously nice employees . The even offered a tour at last minute. Normally its better to schedule to them. Very fun and informative. Cant say enough great things about this place.
They say everything is bigger in Texas. They never stop saying it. When you wake up, theyre saying it. When you go to sleep, theyre still saying it. As you sleep, they break in and sit I your chest and say it. We have all heard it, ceaselessly, for years. Never a moment of respite, an eternal cacophony reminding us the relative size of things in this state. Well, it might interest you to know there is one place I Texas where everything isnt bigger. Thats right, at Reaper everything is smaller than Texas. What a joy! I will definitely be coming back, even the prices are more smaller than Texas ever was. Cant beat that, I will face in mortal combat any who dare challenge my assessment.
SUPER awesome place. Went with a friend and was greeted immediately and asked if we had been there before. We had not so we got to see the gallery (see pics) and then we were given a really detailed tour of the entire place. Even got a free mini on the tour! They have more than just Reaper stuff, its a game store in itself as well. There was a painting class/group going on in the back but I didnt bother them to check that out, a mom/dad/son were playing Magic up front which was kind of cool.Check out the discounted paints too! Theyre great quality, just mislabeled I believe. Theyre 94 cents a piece, so amazing deal. I ended up buying like 15 of them and almost wish I got more.I waited far too long to actually go there, if youre in DFW you owe it to yourself to check it out.
This is THE place to come for miniatures. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the selection is top notch. The lead-free pewter miniatures are produced in house, so high quality pieces for super reasonable prices. Want to get into painting miniatures? Come on a Saturday and they’ve got you covered. I was blown away by the level of service, will definitely be coming back and recommending this store to my friends!
Just the most fabulous experience I’ve ever had in these types of stores. Bill, you’re the real MVP.
A tabletop roleplayers home away from home. If the wholesome staff, community, and stores vibe dont sell to you, then the sheer selection of miniatures will. Make sure to also walk through their museum for inspiration and admiration.
Update your website & phone recording! Recording says store is open but I drove here to find it closed.
Amazing staff loved the tour being disabled is always a problem at stores but not at reaper they go out of their way to help you. If everyone in the world was as nice as the staffing at reaper the world would be a much better place. Love your products and events
The election of miniatures is incredible, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable. I always enjoy my visits!
Incredible selection of miniatures. Staff has all been friendly, helpful, and just plain awesome. Paint club on Saturdays is real cool (last time I went it was really busy though, and the brushes werent in great shape, so might be a good idea to bring your own). Absolutely loved the gallery as well. Wish I was a little closer, would be here all the time.
Great place for table top minis, friendly staff. If you dont have or dont want to buy any paint you can use the stores paint while youre there free of charge. They also sell Magic cards and have Wednesday and Friday Night Magic. they also have Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder card tables open for gaming. They are ESA friendly which is really useful to me.
Its a niche store, but they have a great selection of miniatures. Also because this is a production location also, they can quickly run a copy thats not correctly in stock (if they have the master mold). They also allow onsite painting of miniatures.
Holy cow this place is amazing! The staff is so wonderful and helpful answering questions. I will never go anywhere else in the Dallas area again for miniatures 10/10. You should all go!
The best manufacturer of tabletop miniatures. Since this is attached to the manufacturing facility, the game store has every model from all of their lines as well as their paint. They also have various board games, chessex dice, other tabletop stuff. We went for the painting club that is on Saturdays and there was also a MTG tournament going on. Really nice staff. The painting club was cool. They supply paints and brushes, maybe bring your own nice brush though.
They have dinosaurs. Never go in there with your dino dragon loving child. Also, the minis are well made and not that expensive.
Excellent place to visit. Wonderful staff that make you feel like family! Highly recommended and will visit again!
Im a casual role playing gamer and I just visited this place for the first time. Lets just say I had to keep my spending limit to a minimum. Lol. The store is clean, orderly and quiet, which I REALLY appreciate. The staff was friendly and didnt feel the need to impose themselves. If I had a question, they were available.Ill DEFINITELY be visiting again!
Not only does Reaper make the best miniatures in the land, but they also hire the best people. Cass helped answer all of our questions and was friendly and knowledgable. The visit exceeded all of our expectations!
This place literally has all of your non-electronic gaming needs. There are board games, miniature figurines, paint, and so many other things. Great place to hang out and to meet new people. The employees and owners are all very fun and knowledgeable.
This place is THE destination in Denton county for all your tabletop gaming needs. Painting classes. Regular Magic the Gathering activities. Also has a great group of regulars that show for MTG events. Go check it out you will love the vibe.
There were a ton of miniatures. Wall to wall over 100 feet. Also dice and several DND books and a few snacks. Miniatures are super cheap. Only reason I am not giving it a 5 star is because no one was able to help me find stuff. I was on my own.
Ive gone here twice now and had the same experience. The one employee is away from the counter playing magic which would be fine if he understood that he still needs to be available to help customers. I began browsing and had trouble figuring out what cards were what price, tried asking the employee but couldnt get his attention. Figured Id just bring the cards to the front and ask then. I saw my opportunity to check out as the employee went to the counter but ended up just standing there with his back to me while he messed around with what I assumed was a tournament match up. I waited for around ten minutes. When the employee finally got to me he asked if the cards I had brought up were all I wanted and I said yes which he replied with come on... as if I had wasted his time. Same employee said the same exact thing to me last time I came here. The total ended up being $30 so I dont feel like I was that much of a burden. Frustrating experience.
This is where reaper makes and sells their minis, as well as loads of other D&D, MtG, and other TTRPG necessities. Before relocating, I would go here on the weekends just to poke around and kill time. They also host loads of activities, listings are on their website. One of my favorite places to go in Denton.
We went to reaper to paint some figurines. This was our first adventure into miniatures and painting. Great staff, willing to help. It was nice to be able to pull up a figure on my phone, tell them the number and like magic they bring it in from the warehouse.
As a fledgling D&D player, I came for the dice and stayed for the minifigs. I had no idea this gem was right in my backyard all these years. They have a great search function in store to help you narrow down the class, race, and other aspects in order to zero in on exactly what youre looking for. They also offer a painting class on the weekends, which I havent had a chance to try yet. The two guys on staff at the time of my visit were very helpful and answered a lot of questions for me. Definitely recommend.
The game selection is just so-so, but the miniature collection is enormous! If they dont have what youre looking for in the store front, just ask and they probably have it in the back.I also love their free mini painting days every Saturday!
The selection was fantastic. I was here for about ten minutes just looking around. I just wish at least one of the staff had even acknowledged me while I was in there.
This is a great place. All the staff are super friendly, and they have a huge selection of cards, games, and miniatures. They hold a lot of gaming and painting events on a weekly basis, and are always happy to let people come use their paints and brushes in store and give tips. Its a little tucked away behind a warehouse and a security office or something, though. Look for the radio tower.
Helpful and friendly staff, if youre interested in miniatures for roleplay gaming, definitely worth checking out. Dont mind the industrial park, its worth the trip.
As a customer- alright. As an employee- no sir. This place is toxic.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Has more that just reaper models. They have D&D, Magic the Gathering, keyforge and many board games for sale. There is a decent gaming space and a large area for painting and gaming in the next room. Worth it to see if youre into gaming.
Love the Reaper community, was there for an event today and it was well organized, with plenty of things to do, and lots of fun be had.
Purchased new miniature that had green substance under and along the hooves (picture attached to review). I am not sure if it was mold or some kind of chemical stain. I contacted Reaper regarding the problem, and they claimed the green substance was a natural color variation from using recycled materials (an absurd claim, given the green being only under the hooves indicates it wasnt part of the original materials). When I sent pictures of the damage, the customer service rep literally said Thanks for sharing, and refused to provide any refund or replacement.
Great game store! Has every kind of miniature you can think of and lots of paints!
Amazing that the HQ is here! Awesome staff and best paint on the market. If you are looking for miniatures beyond the strangle hold of Games Workshop, if you are wanting to support local business.... Look no further.
Awesome place, experience it for yourself! It wont disappoint.
Had a good experience here selling some old Magic cards. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, so thats definitely a plus. A qualm I have is that they offer you more money for your items if you accept a store credit, which is frankly quite stupid because you already are selling the cards for much less than their retail and individual online resale value.
Reaper minis are the best - great game store absolutely worth checking out
What a wonderful place! I stopped in here twice tonight and both times the wonderful staff were friendly and helpful. Reaper Miniatures first came to my attention with their Bones Kickstarter that a friend got into. The staff helped me to find miniatures that matched my request. Then they gave me a tour of the facility, allowed me to photograph the store and painted miniatures, and answered all of my questions. They went out of their way to assist me and were gracious.I will happily return here when I am in town. Thank yall for the wonderful experience!
American manufacturing. Support local business. Plus theyre fun.
Really cool game store. Amazing museum.
A nice game store with activities throughout the week. Magic and miniatures are the biggest movers. They have a painting group. They have various MtG tournaments including: Commander, Standard, Modern, and even Legacy.
Excellent selection, beautiful showroom, helpful staff, free weekly events for painting and gaming
Best miniature game supply store in Dallas area! So many minis and paints! Dont miss the $1 paint bucket in the back!
Reaper miniatures is simply one of the best shops in Dallas. They have a great card selection and if they dont have something, they actually make an effort to find cards to cater to clients. Finally, Bill is the best shop owner I have had the pleasure to meet. On numerous occasions, he has taken his time to teach new players how to play and also construct decks as they mature. If youre looking for an LGS and reaper is near you, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you didnt go to reaper.
Nice gaming place. Big rooms with long tables. Plenty of room to play. Very knowledgeable and nice staff too. Thrilled we found this place.
Bad customer service, have to view wears via a computer. I go to local game stores to physically view the merchandiser. For the experience. Not to look through an online catalogue and then get to see it. Very disappointed in something I was really looking forward to. Then they were out of stock on the thing I really wanted.
The staff was helpful, fantastic and great to talk to. Their gallery is world class, and they have a painting group that meets on the weekend. Great miniatures, great people, and great artistic talent all in one place.
One of a kind place for gaming geeks. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only problem here is the occasional (but predictable) public awkwardness of some of the customers.Would it be possible for Reaper to start a hygiene outreach program for customers in need?
Great place. Friendly staff and experience for miniature collectors or painters! Ron for President.
Good place for those looking for their DND supply.
Great experience! We took a tour and picked up a bunch of miniatures. Very friendly and knowledgeable.
Reaper Game store is a treasure to the national gaming community as they provide a wide assortment of miniatures for all manner of roleplaying games. Since making the trek across Texas to their store in the greater DFW, I have made it a point to return as it is one of a few places that I get exactly what I need for the various Dungeons and Dragons campaigns that I dungeon master. If they do not have a miniature in stock they have an impressive database, and if it doesnt exist - wait a little bit they will forge it into being. In addition to miniatures they sell an impressive assortment of board games, cards games, dice and role-playing games. They are always stocked and organized, if you come in on Saturdays then they offer an opportunity to paint miniatures purchased for free which is incredible, truly an immersive and educational experience when it comes to learning how to paint or improving upon existing skills. I strongly recommend them for their cool and professional staff, reasonable prices and the experience of seeing dedication to gaming community in practical real time.
Great hosts! Did a tour from reapercon and learned a ton about the company and how it operates. I also bought a bunch of things from the store.
Great place. Manager extremely cool and helpful. Great selection of magic cards.
Super people!!! Every single person is friendly. Oh yeah, they make great miniatures too.
They have a tour that they can take you through their manufacturing process and show how the minis are designed and made. Its a very interesting process and the glimpse into their daily work makes it genuinely look like a fantastic place to work. They also have a showcase of world renowned artists minis that was absolutely mind blowing. My parents, who had no idea what minatures were to begin with, were completely enthralled with everything they saw.
Excellent store, small but has plenty room to play and paint. Occasionally they organize events and their staff is awesome, knowledgeable and can help with anything you need.
We owned a card shop and sold our cards to Reaper through a friend about 16 months ago. This week my son went to look at some cards for a different game and the company belittled our family. Told my son we were basically idiots as business owners and then bragged how they bought our binders for 400.00 and sold for 9000.00 profit. Then even bragged in how there were insiders in our store through D and D. If you own a shop beware if you are a player why would you do business with a store that will knowingly take you to the cleaners and then belittle you for it.......... Dont make our mistake...
This is a great store with helpful friendly staff. I was in this store Feb 6th. I am from out of town and was looking for some specific models. The gentleman behind the counter was super helpful and patient with me as I sent him searching for items. This was a great experience and I will be back when I am up that way again.
Best minis and one of the best parts of living near Denton. They are great. MtG on Friday. Guided painting on Saturday and D&D on Sunday.
This store has been good to me over the years. The managers and staff offering credible counsel for many types of games. Obviously they excell at miniatures but what I dont think gets mentio need is the phenomenal community that this store provides. This store will always be a favorite of mine and I highly recommend stopping by to see it for yourself!
I wasnt in there very long, but as soon as I walked in, I felt welcome. The guy who helped me was very friendly and informative of events the store holds. I cant wait to make a return visit to the nerd Motherland! 3rd best experience of my life, the first 2 getting married and my daughters birth. Graduating high school took a fall to 4th haha!
Great store and staff! They are very knowledgeable about their games
A welcome oasis in north DFW for miniatures enthusiasts and gamers. Super friendly and helpful staff!
Great space for d&d, and magic the gathering, millions of miniatures!
Customer service is amazing, just like the miniatures and paints.
Staff friendliness is hit or miss, but they offer free paints, tables, etc to be able to work on models which is really fantastic! You can pick up some bottles of paint and models out of the $1 bin which makes it a great deal when practicing painting skills.
Cheap good minis. Great premium minis. Best paints. Please consider the visit.
Great selection of reaper minis, huge paint selection (including $1 bottles!) You can call ahead to arrange a tour.
Buy stuff, or else!
The cleanest game store I have ever been in, was asked by multiple workers of I needed help, and one worker was able to grab one of the minis I was looking for immediately by SKU number. Ive ordered from their online store several times, but I know where I am stopping next time Im near Denton.
Cool but hard to find because it feels like youre going to the wrong place.
The staff is very friendly, and there are many high-quality, high-detail figures available to buy. The factory is also located here, so its possible to buy any of the miniatures they make, as well as a number of ones by Bones. I also went on their tour, which was very informative while still remaining interesting, and it was very beat to be able to see the process from mold creation to metal and plastic pouring (actually making the models) to paint-manufacture to the gallery of painted miniatures. It so happened that I went on a Friday, and was informed that there are free paint days on Saturdays, so I came back for that and was very happy to be able to speak to their master painter and paint-maker: it was very relaxed and friendly, and it was fun to see what other people were working on. Everyone there was very helpful, willing to share advice and tools if necessary (though there was no shortage of tools available). It was particularly interesting to learn that Reaper is one of the only (if not THE only) miniatures factories to also make their own paints. They also carried dice, play mats for TCG, rules books, board games, and Magic cards, and a few snacks and other novelties. The store itself is a bit small since most of the building is dedicated to the factory, but the fact that they can get you any piece they produce - and that they have a kiosk for searching for pieces - makes up for that fact.
Great staff, super knowledgeable on Magic the Gathering, Pathfinder, and how to best color your miniatures! Definitely recommend if you are a fan of either in Denton!
Everyone was very helpful and nice. The selection was great, and if theres something you want that isnt on the wall, they will go out of their way to find it for you in the warehouse.
Amazing shop selection and wonderful staff
Amazing place to play Magic and get Miniatures hot out of the presses!
If you like table top games, this place is worth the drive.
Best place for table top models and learning to paint them.
Awesome! First time here and really enjoyed the tour!
A fantastic experience on all fronts. Friendly people, helpful staff, and a generous inventory makes this shop one of the best in the Denton area :)
Been going here for a while. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Owner is in the store OFTEN. If youre into tabletop gaming this is the store to visit.
Great place, friendly employees, and to top it off they have a limited edition urinal. In the spot that denotes water use per flush it uses 1GPF(gallons per flush) and after says 3.8 GPF where it should be LPF (liters per flush), very uncommon.
Highly knowledgeable and friendly staff, quality products, and fantastic resources for beginner to veteran miniature painters. Just a fantastic establishment all around.
An amazing game shop that reminds me of Big Apple Comics back in Amarillo. Need a place to play table top and card games this is it.
A small but popular store. The shelves are always brimming with games, the dice are always stocked, and of course the miniatures are wall-to-wall. My gaming groups go-to location for both D&D and MtG.
Horrible customer service. Not friendly for begginers or girls. I tried to walk in to buy a starter kit for painting miniatures and was completely ignored. The person behind the counter left to play cards and when I asked about pricing he pointed me to a card and said read that and youll know more about it than I do. For such a far drive out in the middle of nowhere with limited hours of operation, I expected better help and friendlier service. For advanced players the store is well stocked, just dont expect help.
