I like this guitar center. They are nice people and they will be patient with you if you ask any kind of questions. The acoustic guitar room is amazing. And they always have good prices on some of the used gear.

When you go, ask for Jake. He is extremely knowledgeable about guitars and their gear. After enjoying the Strat Pack for a few months he steered me in the right direction for my second purchase: my PRS 24 SE which is perfect for me. Recently he helped this rookie navigate the world of pedals. After watching numerous YouTube videos and entering the store with a list, he talked me through the differences among them as I tried them, and eventually left with 5. Jake is a real gem! He should get a raise!

**ZERO STARS**ZERO STARS**I tried to shop at this GC store today however GC leadership all the way down to management in the store want to tell you to wear a mask; even when the CDC and fauchi saY otherwise.Do not spend your money at this establishment! Guitar Center is a woke nightmare corporation that wants you to tap dance around their neurotic behavior that is NOT based on science!After that; I went over to Sky Guitar on Locust and the employees there were much more helpful. They were wearing masks and respected my decision not to. Sky Guitar is a better choice and will be getting my business from now on.

Just received my open box Peavey Classic 30 from this location...Just to give you a backstory Ive had two broken amps shipped from two different guitar centers which were un unreliable locations.Denton location made up for ALL of it!!Never seen such well done packing ANYWHERE. You can tell whoever packed it did it with care and meticulous work ethic.The amp was in brand new condition and I was given a $700 amp for just over $450 shipping included.VERY impressed!Pat yourself on the back Store 452, youve done well.Josh Campbell

Went in to browse for some reeds since I havent played in a long time and was immediately surrounded by multiple employees who blocked my way as I was simply standing there. I was going they were approaching to assist me since I had never been in there, but no. They told me to use hand sanitizer before I was allowed to browse. No. Oh hell no. That stuff makes me ill, legit ill and he refuses me entry until I use it. Ill go to a competitor who wont make me use something that will make me sick. To browse you need to use it, or you can leave. No. I had my mask on, and there were signs posted about masks. No sign said I was required to use hand sanitizer to even stand in the store. This should be optional only. List my business forever. Horrible company. Use to be a good one 20-30 years ago.

Very incompetent, lack of organization. Went in to restring a guitar and since it was not my guitar, wanted someone with good knowledge to restring it. Was told it would be finished most likely the day the guitar was dropped off at the Denton location. A week goes by finding out no work had been done and they moved the guitar to another store because they did not have anyone able to restring a guitar at a guitar store. My main issue was not being told they would take it to another store to get it restrung, whereas if they had told me that from the start, I would’ve gone to a different store. I would think if you work at a guitar store you would have knowledge on how to restring a guitar and have more that one person able to repair guitars. I understand these times are rough but why have 10 salesmen and no repair techs. Otherwise talking to the person who helped me from the start was very professional and seemed knowledgeable. Picked up the finished guitar at a different store.

They seem to have a large selection for a small store.

Ive been doing business with Guitar Center for many years, about as long as theyve been in business, anywhere near me, that is. The sales people have always been respectful to me as well as very professional and helpful. I recently purchased a rather pricey modeling guitar processor floor board, the Line 6 HELIX Floor model. I couldnt be happier with the experience and, as usual, I will be returning for more equipment and accessories on a frequent basis.

So helpful will come again.

I went in the store on Sunday to find musician ear plugs to wear at a concert. The staff was very friendly and one employee showed me the different earplugs and the brand he personally used it worked really well. I could hear the singers voices clearly without all the additional vibration and saved my hearing in the process.

These guys are great. We bought our guitar here and there was a small issue with it and they took it to the table fixed it and we were done in 15 minutes no questions asked no hassle. Very helpful especially we go there.

Bought my first bass...struggled with the decision but not because anyone tried to sell me anything. There were so many! I love what I got and appreciate the friendly laid back staff.

Feels kind of small for a GC. Not as big of a selection as most, and I had to look around for someone to help me out.

Ive been to guitar centers all over the country and this was by far the worst one! Being a sponsored musician I would expect to at least get past the front door before being asked to leave. I brought in my Mesa to try out on some cabs and possibly buy a new guitar too, but the sales guy says unless your buying something from me, you cant do business here. Then I was asked to leave. It was pretty embarrassing when I was with my wife and kids and had to tell them we cant even go in. One of my favorite things to do when I travel is to stop by every guitar center along the way and buy something. I will not ever stop by this one again!

I really like all things in this store I bought a guitar its great and all the people are awesome.

Not very attentive personnel, but if you find them they will help you with anything you need. I got ernie ball bass guitar strings and didnt realize the package was unsealed. Never got the brightness and metallic sound of brand new strings.

Outstanding service, walked right in and was immediately approached by an associate Nick. Explained what I was looking for, he ran me through multiple options didnt try to up sell on anything and was very helpful. My son who was with me and was who I was shopping for was very happy with everything and Nick actually talked to him about his different options for his new guitar. Great service and we will definitely be back.

Invaluable staff, as a beginner with guitars they were able to well inform me on my purchases, which products would best suit me as well as helping me understand really complex aspects of guitars. incredibly glad to have bought my first guitar here.

Always get great service and information from the staff, and they dont push sales down my throat. I do however think their electric guitar selection could be better, unless you like LPs. Drowning in Gibson.

Recently had some odd issues with recording output and I feel like I annoyed all the employees to death by coming in constantly! They were great. They gave me tons of suggestions and were extremely forgiving if I had to return things...Top notch customer service. Just left the Guitar Center here in Denton. I thought it would be a good time to pick up the bass and try learning it again.I went in to the store and the guitar tech “Neil” met with me. We chatted, and he educated me about guitars and basses. It was slightly busy when I went in the day before Thanksgiving. I went to get bass lessons for my husband and to price their Fender basses, and amps and cases. I was surprised at how inexpensive their bass guitars were, even Fenders. I expected to have to make several payments for my husbands guitar for Christmas but found I could afford everything (amp and case too) at once. I waited and waited while several employees walked in front of me without an excuse me, hello, or finding everything ok? So I finally went to the registers and stood waiting. Several guys behind the counter saw me but noone told me be with you shortly or attempted to get a floater to come over. None of the employees were smiling. I guess its because noone wanted to be there. I overheard one employee complain he had to work on Friday but hoped it would be his last...whatever that means. Finally a very nice guy, Gabriel, walked up and asked if I need help. I told him what I needed and he immediately helped me. He then offered a cheaper deal for lessons that wouldnt begin until Black Friday so I opted for that and probably will return to get them along with the employee who doesnt want to be there. Overall its a nice place with plenty of stock with reasonable prices. You just have to be assertive if you want any help which usually goes now a days at any retail place.

So far I have never been in a bad GC, this was no exception, really nice and helpful staff.

Nice clean. Salespeople dont bug you or stare at you when youre playing. Unlike like other places making you uncomfortable because they just want you to buy and leave.

I ordered a specialty tuner from Guitar Center expedited so I could get the one causing a buzz off my pedal board. I went for the Peterson StroboTuner VSS-C with the DI out for some flexibility and sending out pre-effects for recording purpose. But instead of getting a brand new one, I got one heavily USED which Im assuming was a floor model, with a scuffed screen and the letters worn all around. I have asked that Guitar Center either give me used pricing, which is very easy because they have a used one listed on their site, or except my return and compensate me for the expedited shipping, plus pay for new expedited shipping to get me an actual new one this time.

Took my guitar in for set up and fret repair. The guitar was obviously pretty beat up, main problem being 1st and 3rd frets wore down and unplayable on b string. The repair guy Neil fixed it by adjusting the neck and didnt have to touch the frets themselves. he also replaced a worn out tuning peg on the d string without additional charge.

I tag along with someone who enjoys coming here! Great place!👍

There isnt a ton of merch. A small store might be good for picking up small nick nacks for gigs. No heavy gear though. I just walked all around the place and nobody of the staff of 7 (by my count) acknowledged that I was even there. The place was practically empty. Id think with their lack of product, theyd overcompensate in the customer service area.
