Cool place, I had fun walking around seeing what all they have. Good selection of snacks, produce, meat, fish, etc. The produce was interesting, there were a lot of unique greens, herbs and veggies. Stumbled across some rotten beets but other than that, everything looked pretty fresh and good. Overall a unique and wide selection, lots of stuff you wouldnt see at big chain grocers - banana flowers, jackfruit, fresh noodles of all kinds, quail eggs, pork belly, fresh seaweed and bamboo. Reasonably priced as well. Will definitely come back for picking up specialty ingredients and foods :)
Large market with tons of food and household products primarily from China, the Philippines, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand. Several aisles of frozen foods, as well as extensive sections of tea, spices, oils, vinegars, sauces, and candy. Excellent selection of seafood, with many choices not found in King Soopers or Whole Foods. Lots of Asian cuts of meat and a nice section of Asian vegetables. You can easily spend an hour or more perusing the aisles. Good prices.
This place is so cool! I like the roast duck. You can get a half duck or a whole duck. Very tasty!
I absolutely hate shopping here. First let me start by saying that everything is over priced compared to the other stores nearby(sauce, noodles,vegetables,.....) also they have different prices at different locations which is odd. The way they organized the store is very confusing and you need to know exactly where your recipe is originated from to be able to find what you need. Everything is basically all over the place and even employees have no idea where to find some products.I will never go back here.
The absolute WORST Asian supermarket in Denver. I will never cheat on H Mart again. There are no carts inside unless you bring your own from the parking lot. They are stocking every shelf in the middle of the shopping day on Saturday, and every aisle is full of boxes so you can’t move. The prices are expensive compared to any other Asian supermarket in Denver. Get this: two dragon fruit cost $18. Yes, that’s $9 per fruit. I know they’re imported but that’s exorbitant. Their soup bones are expensive. Only the chicken was reasonably priced. And approximately 20% of items in the frozen section actually have prices on the shelves, so it’s a guessing game.Save your time and money and go to H Mart or even Viet Hoa.
This use to be our go-to place to shop for asian food but when I went there in September 2021, ALL their prices doubled. Some of the imported products makes sense that products have risen but even the produce was outrageously overpriced! $2.99 for mint? $1.99 for cilantro?? You can buy these items at King Soopers for $0.50. The real kicker surprise was $9.99 for fish sauce! Welp... guess its time to find somewhere else to shop...back to H Mart we go.
The Pacific Ocean Market is a great place to get a wide variety of Asian food and goods that can be hard to find in this part of the country. This includes fresh and live fish and seafood, a great selection of produce and terrific fried tofu. This is an inexpensive place for groceries, and a fun and educational destination to bring kids. The market is a great place to explore the huge array of noodles of world.
Great one-stop shopping, have just about everything you grosery need.
Clean nd neat with great selection of products. Biggest problem was that I am a single individual & a lot of the produce has to be bought in larger quantity than I need. No red fishy smells so I assume they figured out how to quash that. All produce & meat/seafood looked good. Even able to find my red rice, which is my favorite rice.
Large Asian supermarket with fresh meats, seafood and veggies. Deli counter sells prepared duck and pork. A Poorly organized, but Huge selection of packaged asian ingredients from around the world. Woks, dishes and kitchen gear. Overall a great store.. word to the wise... Keep an eye on expiration dates.
Oriental food super market. Good selections. Good place.
Price tags on shelf are not matched with item on the shelf for almost every single items I purchased. Each item is 20 cents to 1.00 dollars more than what it mark. When I tell them the prices are NOT matched, the store cashiers answer ONLY few cents more. Those item on the tag are sold out so they put other stuffs in. I told they “ it feel like they are cheating on the price.” The cashier answer back “ that is your feelings...” I just told they “ I will not argue few cents for each items and go through whole store to waste my time to verify they cheat on the prices.” And if what A customer feel are not important to them, they don’t care about the business they run......Plus It is not feeling like cheat only. Their response is RUDE.. and it is DISHONESTY in the price.. when I said I feel, it is just a polite way. The price tags on the shelf without Proper English name on products and then told me item are NOT the same as the tags are “CHEATING”....Never go in again ...They will not have my business anymore.
Love this Asian market.. Im always discovering new sauces and items to try
Was looking for specific Filipino foods and they had it all. Very organized and easy to find as well.
I can spend hours in this Asian Supermarket! Seriously!I love everything about it especially the produce and the Fresh fish market!I wish they had a POM in Castle Rock!Their prices on fresh seafood is phenomenal! Fish is at an affordable price!
Love this place when looking for a few yummy Asian snacks - while I dont go here for everyday shopping, their foods (fish/meat/prepared foods) are always fresh! They carry several varieties of many canned, bottled and frozen foods as well! Great place if you are looking for something authentic Asian!
Has a wonderful selection of everything you could possibly need. Our go to market.
This review is based on customer service. The employees are rude, unfriendly, unprofessional. They store has a wide variety but almost every employee has a extremity bad attitude. I smile say hello. They dont honor respecting people I seen a cashier argue with a lady about a legitimate coupon. Why offer them if you dont b honor them? So sad when you want the products but the employees just give such a bad experience you dont and wont go back I will tell everyone go to other markets but NEVER this one.
Ive been here many times because its the only Asian grocery with fresh longan that I know despite the semi poor customer service but this time was pretty bad. Make sure you check their rice bags for any hole cause by a mouse. We found two bags with holes in it next to a dead mouse. One of the bag had its hair on the bag. No apology and not sure if they are going to do anything else about the others bags like check to see if there are holes in it too. Really gross. I wont be buying jasmine rice from here anymore. At least I get my refund.
I always go there for everyday needs liked the place...
This is such a nice market to go get great produce, great seafood, and great prices! If you need to try something new or are just whipping some homemade stir fry up in the kitchen, you should definitely go here! They have many wonderful and different imports from many Asian countries too!
Cashier was rude. Cool store, poor service.
Prices can be inflated for certain brands, so pick wisely. The meats are usually bad by the time theyre on the shelf. Fresh vege selection and peices more than offset this minor niggle.
Compared to other POMs I thought it wasnt very good, hard to find items in it
I would totally give no star for places I get this type quality of food, but I think it deserves some credits for the seasoning session? The meat was GROSS! Only top 2-3 pieces of meat looked normal and the rest were all like this kind of brown colored with weird smell. Of course it went to trash, where else did it suppose to go? I was not gonna take the pictures and post this, but I figured I had to let people know what’s going on with this place. This is not a place for fresh food. Even though it might look fresh on the outside, it might not be fresh inside! This place is just not trustworthy for fresh food. The meat so disgusting. I don’t think I will be back. If I need some Asian seasoning products, there r other places to go. I would rather drive further for something better.
Manager at this location is very rude, came in for a mistake that an employee had made, and he had very bad customer service, was very dismissive and rude. Did not apologize after it was confirmed that it was indeed the employees fault.
I love going here. I love Asian food. I am a lover of Ramune so when I found a wide variety I was very happy!
This is one of the larger and more comprehensive asian markets in the area. They have good selections of produce, live and trimmed seafood, a housewares mini-store within, and remedy/beauty counter. Great prices too. Check the date on items as there are occasionally expired items on the shelf. It is not only a part of our regular shopping routine but also a fun place to take kids or out-of-towners.
So different! Full of Asian specialties and unique Eastern finds. Wandering around is a must!
Ive been coming here a few years now and product wise its great. However, the service here is terrible sometimes. Ive had multiple experiences where staff have been extremely rude and unhelpful and today I feel like I experienced a little discrimination. The cashier checking me out today let someone cut in front of me bagged her groceries and then when rang me up she refused to bag mine and started to count out her register.. This might seem petty but theres no reason to be that blatantly rude to someone for no reason. NEVER had this problem at hmart before and if you look through other reviews the cashiers have consistently been the worst part of the store.
Would not recommend coming here. The staff is consistently rude and it always smells like seafood thats gone bad. Ive given it several chances and will not return.
RudeShopped here for years and the last several times have been bad. Today was incredibly bad.
I dont expect perfect english but absolutely 0 english?????? Cmon cant order a simple fish!!!!!!!!!
I chose the strongest most active most feisty, pugnacious Blue Crabs.
Having spent half my life in Orange County, it was awesome to find Federal Blvd - like a piece of Little Saigon hidden in Denver. Pacific is my favorite grocery store, but I now prefer the one that opened in Aurora.Pacific is best for all the ingredients needed to cook the ethnic dishes you grew up with. The customer service may not be the best, but Ive found it is more cultural than intentionally rude or dismissive. When we still frequented this location and the workers started recognizing us, they warmed up and would often go out of their way to help. The produce is fresh, the fish can be cut to your specifications or fried whole and ready to eat, the sauce/spice aisle is insane, there is every type of snack depending on how adventurous you are, the prepared food and desserts are delicious, and they make fresh tofu on site!I love Pacific and wish there was one close by. Even so, its worth the drive.
Great prices, extensive selection.
Went here to get my Covid vaccine. The mobile clinic is there until 6pm today. Go get stabbed, in and out less than 10 minutes.
Love the selection. The store is always clean and well stocked with everything we need.
My wife and I shop her occasionally for vegetables and foreign-made food which is hard to find in Fort Collins. While they have more selection than they have aftertaste shelf space for, we find that the quality of non-food products is quite poor.
Nice place to find good produce. Fair prices and fresh food overall
I went to Pacific Ocean Marketplace in desperate need of a snack while driving home. The store was a wonderful experience. In the fresh produce section I was tempted to get some plantains to make fried plantains but I didnt have any canola oil or a pan to fry them in my car. I decided on getting some hi-chew and like something else I cant remember. I will definitely be returning when I have my frying equipment to get some plantains. The service was unrivaled and the store was extremely clean and well lit. I felt welcomed and comfortable when shopping. Great work.
This is one of the most organized and clean oriental supermarkets in the greater Denver region. Ingredients commonly found in the south east asian (Thai, Vietmese...) and the east asian (Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese...) cousines are abundant in the store. One interesting feature is that fresh tofu, soya pudding, and soya milk are produced daily. These fresh and warm protein sources taste much better than the refrigerated counterparts. Right by the store is a Costco center, where other common grocery can be conveniently acquired.
As one of the only bigger Asian supermarkets, it has an alright selection. I guess my comparison is really the Bay Area which might not be fair. Prices here are also a bit high, and I typically grab some tofu and bok choy, maybe some taro cake and rice cakes. Lines here are typically a bit long and slow, although I guess that depends on when you come!
I love all of the food they have there.
Overwhelmingly amazing. Great place for exotic fruits and vegetables.
Best place for me to find some of the harder ingredients for a dish Im cooking. Fresh veggies & fruits are sometimes hard to come by as well. Items from the bakery are always good too. Best part is international that you cant really find anywhere.
The cashier was a little grumpy. I dont blame her for that but it looks like she decided to take her anger out on us by charging us extra for some items. When we went back, we asked if we could get some of our money back but she kept on interrupting us and it took a little longer than it shouldve had just to get 50 or so dollars back. The food is also expensive right now but other than that its a good place
Im disappointed... I shop here a lot. Today I walked in and asked for something in English and both cashiers acted like they didnt understand what I said. Then the second one walks over to the aisle and is literally standing next to me as if Im stealing. Ive never stold anything in my life. Sorry theres better prices and plenty of oriental stores on Federal.
Great selection from multiple areas
The staff is rude and not accommodating most of the time it is not a one time experience unfortunately. The Fish and meat seems less fresh than the Pacific Ocean of Broomfield it may be because the day I visited. Overall they have a large selection of products and good price. Fresh vegetables are a gem with large selection and bulk quantities.
Pls be very careful about buying anything here. Most items don’t have expiration date and some of them has already expired. Be sure to read the receipt: they usually charged full price on the discounted Items.
Good place for Asian food/groceries shopping. The Vietnamese instant coffee is always cheaper here.Salted steamed chicken is very good and reasonable.
The employees were cranky and there was a very limited selection. However, the bbq pork was excellent! If you have the time just go to the larger one on Alameda and Peoria.
If you need Asian food and housewares, this place will likely have it. Sadly, they are not as well stocked nor do they have the selection of their Aurora store on Mississippi. Granted this store is about half the size of the Aurora location, so some of what I just said cant be helped. However, it just seems less well kept and is slightly more expensive than their other store. Still, its decent if you cant make the trip crosstown to Aurora.
I went there at about 12 ish and there was literally nobody shopping. Produce looked sad and old, meat section is okay I guess. The food and sandwich aisle extremly abandoned and weird, I wouldn want to buy food to eat there.Compared to the one in Aurora, this is just a sad hole...
Great market with a wide selection of products, snacks, and general items
This is a fantastic little market for everything international(eastern). Weve tried so many new things just because we popped in for an ingredient and saw something fun and exciting to try.
Great place to find Asian groceries. It is a bit hard to locate things sometimes but half the fun is wandering around finding unusual things.
Usually I dont believe in labels, but when it comes to the product section of an international they can actually be helpful. This is a minor complaint though, overall very good.
Excellent produce, meat and seafood, and special Asian ingredients. A pair of majestic lions stand watch in stony silence.
Love this store! Great food and great prices.
Good asian products.helpful staff!
This was one of the nicest asian markets I have ever been in. It is huge and they have a great selection and good prices.
Great place for all manner of Asian groceries - good selection of vegetarian / vegan food items and snacks.
This store is smaller than the Aurora store but has a pretty good selection. Couldnt find Basmati rice. Was told by cashier that they had it, but couldnt find it or anyone to help us find it. Found the store made tofu. Yum! However, many items didnt have prices, so that was frustrating, especially when I found out the frozen green tea and red bean ice bars were over $6. a box.
The houseware section was well stocked but horribly disorganized. Frozen goods seemed mostly Vietnamese, with a second area for other cultures foods. Live and fresh seafood market very well stocked. The lady working checkout engaged me in English briefly before starting a side conversation with another employee for the duration. Not unusual, but not enjoyable nonetheless.
Staff is nice, and helpful! Big store.. lots and lots of things!
Tons of awesomeness!
Good selection. The layout isn’t always helpful if you don’t know where the item you’re looking for originates from, but I can usually find what I’m looking for. The store’s hours are lacking clarity. Drove across town only to be turned away because it “closed” 15 minutes before the sign, ads and the google listing said it would be closed for the day. I respect the need to have time to shut down a store for the night, but please adjust the hours of operation to reflect when customers can actually shop.
A great place to pick up Asian food supplies. Fish, seafood, meat for your favorite dish. The market also sells roast pork, car six, roast duck. The place has a bakery and makes fresh tofu also. I was impressed by the Cleanliness and selection of furniture and household goods and appliances. I cant wait until they open in Aurora.
Great place to buy rice and other essentials.
I went in for some specialty ingredients and had a hard time finding things. Organizing by origin may seem intuitive, but it makes for a terrible experience finding a specific item when you are not sure where it’s from. The employees (I asked three for help) all instant responded by pointing and suggesting a random place (one sent me to pots and pans when I was looking for a soy sauce). The durian I picked up was relatively cheap and super delicious.I have also found things here when H Mart has failed me.
Staff was very rude! I ordered a Bahn Mi Chicken sandwich aka #7 and it was absolutely terrible! They served me cold rotted meat which one bite caused me to wretch in the parking lot, needless to say I threw the sandwich away immediately and I will never return to any location. So for anyone elses sake please dont eat the deli food!
I appears, some of the staff are bad. Once, I was just checking out, I grabbed my receipt from the tiny printer in front, with all my good intent, the lady responded as if I did a crime. Her response was Please dont do that again. and she turned the printer up side down in front of me and walked away before I completely left the counter. The same lady misinformed me that the store doesnt sell Indian goods (very proudly), although I showed her the sign where it says clearly Indian Food. She still didnt retract her words. Indian food is the only reason I go there. Such as Indian bitter melon, Indian egg plant, etc.
This is my favorite Asian grocery store in Denver - I always find tons of fresh vegetables at great prices (like baby bok choy for stir fries), dumpling wrappers, fresh rice noodles, sauces and condiments, and fun treats. Dont miss their fresh tofu, too!Do note that there is a lot of exploring to be done in this store for those of us who arent familiar with many Asian cuisine ingredients and sometimes it can be hard to find a staffperson to help you locate something - I usually do some Internet searching beforehand so I dont end up wandering the soy sauce aisle for a specific recipe since they have so many options.
The best place for buying hard-to-get Asian foods and cooking supplies in the Denver area. To complement a huge selection of shelf-stable products and frozen foods, they also have fresh produce that cant be found in most standard grocery stores, live seafood in a large meat section, and an active bakery and deli.
This grocery store is my go-to spot for incredible and unique items. Unfortunately, many of the employees dont speak English so its hard to find certain items without much assistance. Regardless I love this grocery store! ❤️❤️
Great variety and if you are Vegan tons of options for you here!
Great selection! I went for Sushi supplies!
Nice and clean with an awesome selection of Asian groceries, but the ladies who work here could learn some basic customer service. There were several instances where if I didnt know better, I felt unwelcome. I realize everyone is tired by late afternoon, but a simple returned smile and thank you goes a long way for all.
Wide selection of Asian grocery items!
Great place with a wide selection of Asian foods and ingredients. friendly and helpful staff with fair prices
Such an amazing place for food discovery!!
Beware of the false/display price that does match the merchandise on the shelf (picture attached). The actual price was $55.00 when I checked out. 50bls bag cost $55 while the 25bls bag cost only $25.99. Make sure you read the fine print on the price label; it is sweet rice and not jasmine rice. Is it false advertisement or ....?
I have been going to P.O.M. for years but will no longer be shopping there. Last time I was there, I purchased a large quantity of ramen noodles. There was a sticker with English ingredients as is pretty common for products there. Today, I cooked the noodles and we noticed they smelled a little different. My boyfriend peeled the sticker off to discover English ingredients printed on the bag. The noodles contained egg but the sticker covering the printed ingredients omitted egg. Egg is an allergen and should never be omitted from an ingredient list. I no longer have any faith in what I have purchased at P.O.M.
Great Asian market. A rare site in Denver for this Tex-pat. Good choice of sauces spices and veg. Decent selection of fish. Has roasted duck in the back. Good prices on the rice
I visit POM regularly. They have a wonderful selection of exotic produce, and even some less exotic produce that is just silly expensive at other grocers, but extremely reasonable here! Love all the delicious sauces, spices, and other Asian foods you can buy here, they have a wonderful selection. They also have a section with a beautiful selection of table ware and other household items.
International supermarket including live fish, tea, eastern medicine, household goods, and a bakery. Items from all around the globe both frozen and dry packaged. Friendly staff. Unsure still? Just go and walk around to see what they have to offer. Makes a great afternoon adventure.
Love this store. Very nice staff, great selection and its easier to locate the items. Recommended!
