I honestly had a great experience and definitely a great sales person who knew exactly what we were looking for and how to stay within reason. Averell was extremely knowledgeable on the cars and information to provide and how to best answer our questions. I was a little skeptical initially because i know how sales people are love to take advantage. But that was not the case, the goal was to get a car within my price that i can maintain, and that is what i got. I would definitely suggest any of the DriveTine Guys to my friends or family when looking for a new car.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Lynette was helping me specifically, shes amazing😊 No pressuring you into anything you dont want or that wouldnt be a good fit. Speedy process quick approval and low down payment! I love that they show you the carfax history right then and there, vehicle approval and everything so that you truly know what youre getting! A nice selection of cars for very affordable prices. If youre looking for a good used car dealership would highly recommend!

Where to start.... well the sales team is incredibly nice and accommodating through the purchase of the vehicle. Post-purchase they say they will help if there are issues but its all lip service.  I had a trade in and received an auction vehicle that was defective and shouldnt have been on the lot in the first place. Two nails were in one tire,  which they said they inspected but had to fill before the test drive,  there are also two sets of tires on the vehicle, the shocks and struts were bad and I needed a whole new transmission. I purchased all insurance coverages available because I do realize it is a used car.  Long story short Ive driven my vehicle maybe 5 times and its been in the shop the remainder of the time... its in the shop now and I purchased in June. Im am thankful that i was aware enough to have the vehicle looked at and a claim issued prior to the 30 day warranty; all the work is being done at no cost to me, which it shouldnt cost me..however the insurance covers $25/day up to $300 i dont know where you can find a rental with that rate and I would have exceeded the cap on that long ago. It is also a reimbursement that if approved will take up to 2+ weeks to process. I was told to go to my private insurance for a rental. I was sold this car in this condition, it passed the car lots inspection, it shouldnt have. Im paying for a car I havent had since June. From what Ive heard, Im not alone with these issues. Stay away because as nice as they are,  I still dont have a vehicle and cant afford to pay for two cars they will not fully reimburse.  I realize this is not entirely the car lots responsibility as it is also the warranty company and insurance company they partner with however the car was sold to me from their lot via their inspection in this condition and I do believe it is their responsibility to partner with reputable companies that have integrity and want to help not pacify or blow off.

When purchasing a vehicle make sure you ask for Averell Knight and John at the Lakewood location. Excellent customer service and great selection of cars. A great experience!!!

Not my first car buying experience most have been positive on some level, but I have to say the most relaxing and informative was at Drive Time today. Chris H. was extremely efficient, professional and helpful. I drove away feeling positive with my purchase. Great Job Drivetime.I got a response from this review from Drive time:Since our vehicles are pre-owned, we perform an evaluation at one of our inspections centers to make sure that they meet the national highway standards, and that any concerns are addressed before transporting them to our sales lots. We also offer a 30 day/ 1,500-mile Limited Warranty at no additional cost, along with an optional Vehicle Service Contract that offers assistance in most situations after that.This is a lie. Everyone knows that Drivetime/Carhop get the most rundown/high mileage vehicles and sell them to people with less to horrible credit because people are in desperate need. I had a my first vehicle with Drive time for less then 2 weeks before getting it replace due to a bad transmission (why didnt your evaluation catch a horrible transmission problem?) Its not fair, and your warrantee does not fix anything unless your car engine falls out (lol). A mechanic told me personally this SUV should not have been sold to you. In less then a year, Ive taken my vehicle to the shop over 6x. Drive time needs to take responsibility cause I know Im not the only victim. Mind you, im paying close to $500 a month! for car payments. My SUV will be in the shop next week for another $800. And all you tell me to do is call your call center. I had to trade it in less then a month later for SUV vehicle due to transmission issues. I got set up in the same type vehicle but a different color/model. Fast forward a year and half later, Im falling behind on my payments because Im paying for mechanical work almost every other month. Please be cautious.

This dealership is incredible! The staff is prompt and friendly. Our salesman Jorge was amazing! He was so nice, down to earth, and chill. He explains everything with ease and makes sure you understand the process. I went in to drive time expecting to be turned away like most places that Ive visited in the past. That was not the case here. Alonzo was on point. Thought it was a good buy, only had it around 6 months. Within the first week brakes and rotors needed change and now that we are in need of air conditioner with the heat, guess what it dont work need to replace the compressor.. my car failing little by little

I came in and Jose helped me find the perfect car! I love it, I also loved the fact Jose, Matt, and another guy stayed two hours past their closing time to make sure I was driving with my car that night. We got all the paperwork and tags done and I’m grateful for their overall professionalism. I actually went to carhop before I came here and I waited five hours at carhop to say I didn’t get approved and I walked right over to DriveTime and drove off with my new car in 2 hours!

First off DO NOT BELIEVE WHAT YOU GET IN YOUR EMAIL ABOUT BEING APPROVED. Allegedly that its a estimate on your deposit . once you get there they will tell you that they need to run your credit and see what the finance company approves you to be in. But if i have to go thru a finance company and could i wouldnt be at drivetime. 2nd they will try to put you in something other than what you were approved for. Overall it was a complete waste of time and false advertising . better off saving up and just waiting to buy one cash

The longer my $20,000 vehicle sits the more hell we are going to raise for this company. They sold my friend a car who has a child. They preyed on her. Selling her a vehicle that they either did not thoroughly inspect or tried to do a quick fix before putting it in the lot. Now within the first 30 days, shes been without a vehicle. Because the law says that she has to give an opportunity for them to make the necessary repairs before taking them to court, we will ensure that our Team writes a negative review for every day this car sits all across the internet.DriveTime has still not called to make things right!

I know most people will say “it’s their job of course they will be” but while working with Jose I could really tell that he cared about the car I was driving off in. Purchased a car from drive time 12 days ago. I took the car to my trusted mechanic to make sure that the car was good before my 30 day warranty is up. He let me know that there are a number of issues with the car. His exact words were “Very dangerous to be driving” I have a 4 year old daughter that I drive with. Thank god nothing happened to me or her while driving in this car. I can not believe a business would sell me a car that could potentially harm me. I wish that I could give zero stars.

Total tag price is what you would expect from a buy here, pay here place, their down payment surprised me, very fair and reasonable. Their customer care, however, is where I really want to commend them, they’re amazing! Knowledgeable, professional, patient and kind, our sales person made the entire process simple and quick, once we decided on the car we wanted. That was the hardest and most time consuming part, but through it all, we never felt rushed or unwelcome. Solid five stars for customer care alone.

Price gauges and took advantage of my credit situation. So far have paid $14,700 (not an exaggerated number I called to check) on a $4000 car and still have $4500 left. Lost my job due to the pandemic (service industry) and they still are planning to repo the car even after offering some cash until I can get back to work.
