Really cool area! Rocket Ice Cream is next to the Wings Over The Rockies Air and Space Museum so there are some huge airplanes outside, not to mention the rocket on top of the ice cream stand that came from Burning Man. Add to that some cute restaurants, a thriving beer garden, and an adorable coffee and bagel shop and you have a delightful area to spend some time. The ice cream itself is good. I had the Salted Oreo and Cookie Monster (warning: your entire mouth will be blue if you choose Cookie Monster). Lots of outside places to sit. Really friendly service. Excited to come here again.

Mint chocolate chip on a warm day yesterday made for a good evening.

The rocket and the atmosphere here are super nice. It’s a nice place to sit when it’s not too warm but the ice cream isn’t great. I’d go again if they had better flavors but it’s hit or miss.

This is a fun ice cream shop in a great location. The kids love the rocket and cookie monster is their favorite. Right next to the beer garden and restaurants...perfect for a summer evening!

Came here for the first time because we were looking for dairy free & vegan ice cream, and was suggested this place. The dark chocolate one is the vegan one that I tried, and was surprisingly extremely rich; I only ate 20% of it . After awhile, it was too rich that it reminded me of chocolate cake frosting. For the vegan dairy-free options, there was only three flavors on the menu to choose from. The place is in the shape of a rocket where only the employee inside works out of, and you sit outside on their patio.

Website wrong; they closed at a different time than they said in website. I understand covid but they should update their website. Disappointed kids.

This spot was on my list of places to check out since moving to Colorado from Iowa. Rocket Ice Cream is set in a nice area of Lowry neighborhood of Denver. A really cool spot with a beer garden, coffee shop and some restaurants. My girlfriend and I went to Rocket Ice Cream close to closing time, but the employees were more than happy to serve us. I got the mocha chip in a waffle cone, and my girlfriend got the salted Oreo in a waffle cone. Both flavors were super tasty, and we definitely plan on coming back, along with bringing friends to try it out as well when they visit!

Rocket’s Salted Oreo ice cream is my all time favorite and is the bar I set for my ice cream standards. Nothing else is as rich and creamy and salty and delicious as this. Tons of other flavors I love, too, don’t get me wrong. Worth every penny and every calorie.

I didnt have ice cream but I certainly creepily watched a multitude of others eat theirs. Based on the happy faces of those slipping into diabetic comas, I would guess it was pretty good. Oh the building theyre in is pretty cool too.

This place is open seasonally, and is closed in the winter. The flavors here are somewhat unusual. I havent had anything I absolutely couldnt live without, but its always been decent. Of course, the rocket ship is the coolest part.

So good! Our first time here and we will be back.

Ice cream is delicious and high quality. I rate four stars as serving sizes have went down significantly from last season. I asked and paid a $1 for hot fudge this weekend and barely got a teaspoon full! Come on guys!

First time here, probably only time after this. We just got a two scoop whopper ice cream... and it was literally just two teeny scoops of vanilla ice cream. No whoppers whatsoever, and definitely not even close to what I would have expected for two scoops. One maybe. Not a fan of plain vanilla icecream, so complete waste of money - highly disappointed. Id recommend going to Coldstone over this place any day.

Very novel and the flavors were good. Needs more flavors than juat half a dozen, especially when one was just chocolate. Only had one worker when I was there and the Malt shake took a while to make so the next people in line had to wait. This was a Saturday night.

So much fun in the summer to ride your bike to and grab some ice cream. They have a great selection of ice cream from simple for the Kids to unique new flavors to try. Great service and love that the building looks like it came straight from the set of Men in Black.

Very unique ice cream stand. Gets three stars for the cool setting and look. However, the ice cream was just okay. Not bad, not great. With all the other amazing ice cream places around I would have expected it to be better.

Very fun place to stumble upon while out for a date night! My husband loved the history of the rocket ship and it became his favorite thing to chat about. All the flavor combos were in pointe and they had multiple vegan options. Will definitely visit again!

I supposed if you are dairy free or vegan and your choices are limited, this would be a good place to come for ice cream. $3.50 for a scoop of ice cream I can eat in 2 bites is a crime. There are plenty of ice creameries in Denver and Colorado that make their own ice cream and invent their own flavors and dont overcharge. I had my first scoop here yesterday and I will not make the effort to visit again.

The ambiance is really what its about. Delicious icecream served out of the base of a big silver rocker. Cool.

Salted Oreo will change your life and perspective on ice cream. Try some samples and take in the beautiful art piece from burning man. You have the meseum and a few other shops and the beer garden to take in at the same time if you would like. Its the same ice cream as little man and damn it is worth it.

The ice cream is great here. Interesting setting with the rocket and air museum nearby. They also have a water mist system all or most the way round to keep cool under.

Family friendly environment. Mist from the rocket was a fun touch. Nearby planes were neat to look at.

If you like icecream try this place. Its in the heart of Lowery, lots of people to watch & lots of restaurants to explore. While youre there you should check out the astronaut exhibit.

Unique, different and tasty. Only negative is the young staff man who scoops the ice cream is usually outside the door vaping, with adults and children nearby. Unsightly.

I’ve been to this ice cream shop several times before and decided to go tonight to end our Sunday night with my boyfriend and sister. We arrived at approximately 9:02 and stood outside the stand a couple minutes before we realized it was closed. There were 3 ladies inside that failed to acknowledge us and I would even go to the extent of saying ignored us. As we walked into our car two women walked up to the stand and were IMMEDIATELY acknowledged by the person doing cash count. She didn’t open the door but directed them to the sign with all the flavors. One of the two women walked over and back to the counter and the employee directed them to a side window as another employee served an ice cream. There was absolutely no exchange of money and the woman walked away with her free ice cream as we couldn’t even get someone to acknowledge us. I understand they were closed already and did not want free ice cream, but this happened at 9:06. This reflects poor customer service and I would say racial bias on the employee’s part. We are taking our business elsewhere and will let our friends to do so as well, as we cannot support a business that bluntly unjust.

A very nice spot in the middle of Lowry, right next to the giant plane for the museum. Great flavors, vegan as well! The blueberry was the best though. And due to it being a walk up window its an easy stop for a quick ice cream and a walk around the area. Its also next door to the Lowry Beer Garden which makes it a nice stop after a few brews.

Vegan ice cream! Yes, this is (or was when I went) an outlet for the Little Man Ice Cream, including vegan delights for those of us who cannot tolerate pasteurized bovine secretions. Crazy-cool rocketship on the roof, lends its namesake to the store, and surprises with an interesting backstory. Water mist system activates on hot days. Great location near the Wings Over the Rockies museum, and occasionally live music at nearby brewpub.

Great flavor, smooth ice cream and reasonable prices. Would recommend for any quick icecream stop.

The ice cream was okay but the guy was very rude!And then there was a big black hair in my ice cream! I went back to tell the guy especially that he has a very long beard that was not covered, he looked at me and said “okay??!!” Like why are you complaining?? He didn’t even apologize for that! Never coming back again.
