I was shopping online for a light fixture and, once I found the one I wanted, I found that Urban Lights offered me the best price. But beyond price, Urban Lights provides EXCELLENT customer service! Brittany helped me place the order and even offered to send me basic bulbs at no charge. When the bulbs did not arrive, Marian offered to re-send them. And when my handyman discovered that a hanging crystal on my fixture was damaged, Urban Lights replaced it immediately. This is an awesome company staffed by awesome people. Great prices and service - that is all you can ever ask for, and Urban Lights provided both!

After some google searching we found that Urban Lights had one in stock. Jennifer responded immediately to our questions and boom - we have the light we had been searching for. Great customer service and stress-free purchase!

This place might be ok if you know exactly what you want. If you are like me and have questions or are curious about the choices in various styles, good luck. I went there twice and spent ~25 minutes browsing each time. I couldnt get a single person to acknowledge me let alone answer any questions or help me make a selection. If you are going to end up doing it all yourself anyway you might as well just go to home depot or shop online and save some money in the process.

This was by far the best experience Ive had in a decor store, perhaps ever. The selection was vast with so many options for lights and fans. I did not realize how large the show room is and appreciate the unique options. It is inspiring to say the least. Lastly the staff was fantastic; no pressure and available knowledgeable and friendly when we were ready. I look forward to coming back for my next project!

This is a fun showroom and Aly was so great to work with! I was able to browse thousands of fixtures on their website and then walk the showroom to see many of them in person. It can feel overwhelming at first to shop for light fixtures, but Aly helped me figure out what I wanted and what would fit well in my spaces (and in my budget), and she recommended an installer who I was very happy with (Metro Lighting Services). Ill be doing all my future lighting shopping at Urban Lights. Thanks!

Update 4/25 Hannah, showroom manager quickly responded and handled complaint in a very professional manner. Light was shipped and delivered next day and it’s up in the house and looks beautiful!Original review below, however showroom worked hard to rectify the situation.Terrible customer service! Ordered lights from them back in December! Some came, but we had to hound them to understand when they would be available for pick up.We are now in April and still one light short. Called today and they said their records show we picked them up.Beyond disappointed by Sales person Eric and overall lack of communication on these lights. Could have ordered them online and we would already have everything.Once you take the sale for something, its so important to follow up with customers to let them know the status of the lights. Hoping that we can track down our last chandelier. :(Dont bother going here, just order online.

First of all, we were impressed by the selection of modern fixtures. It’s always so much better to see it live vs. buying online, which we’ve found to be risky for lighting! When we got there, everything was 40% off, which is an impressive deal. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and Amber helped us purchase our selection. She handled the transaction with care- ensuring we had enough wiring for 18 ft. ceiling vs. just assuming we knew! From there- she had great attention to detail, noticing some discrepancies in the specs vs. what the information sheet actually stated. She contacted the manufacturer to get the actual info, and kept us informed on shipping status. To round out a great experience, when the box didn’t fit our car, she arranged a delivery right to our house. Would highly recommend, and we’ll be coming back in the future for additional lighting projects!

Urban Lights has always had an incredibly diverse selection of lighting to meet our needs and sales reps who are always willing to help us figure out what will work for our living space. We recently went to Urban Lights for a dining table fixture. Although we did not end up buying a fixture there (someone bought one for us as a gift instead), the salesperson Brooke took the time to review our living space, dimensions and our design style via emailed photos, and then recommend several options. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. So we thank Brooke for her help and certainly will be back to the showroom for other lighting needs.

We just had a really great experience. We called to see if they could order some pendants we liked online. They were able to beat all of the online competitors. Then, when we pendants arrived, they had a manufacturer defect. Two were one shade of brass and one was another. They very very promptly worked with the manufacturer to get us all new pendants. They came in just a few days. I was really impressed with the customer service, its hard to find these days. I am happy we decided to shop local instead of through an online retailer.Thank you Robin & Victoria!!

Not only was she very helpful in helping us select lighting fixtures for a major home remodel we are undertaking (2 bathroom vanity fixtures, 4 kitchen pendants and a dining room light fixture – over $5,000 spent) but she also kept me updated on the shipping status of our purchases. Her customer service is above and beyond anything that I have experienced in many years! And her friendly, professional manner is a delight. Urban Lights should be very happy to have her on your staff.

Went to Urban Lights just to check it out and I could not believe how big this place was and with so many options. Cheryl who works there gave me a tour of the place and I was so impressed by how organized it was and all the options they have. During the tour I saw a gorgeous chandelier that I had to have for our bedroom, Cheryl was so helpful with helping me compare prices. Turned out the floor model was all they had left, but the guy who is able to get them down was not there. When he was there, he got it down and Cheryl delivered it to me herself. I was not hounded while looking around and when I was ready for help narrowing in on a solution, Rhonda Schmitt caught on to my vision and had an awesome recommendation that is now installed and really dresses up and updates my kitchen without overrunning my budget. I would totally deduct stars for the lack of AC because I’m 8 months pregnant and it was soooo hot but the salesman Sean O’Connor was so wickedly awesome at helping us narrow down our design that I can look past the heat lol. This store was great and I love how everything is organized by style. Sean literally had the best design eye when I showed him our furniture and the pendants and chandeliers we were interested in. I’m so excited for when our home is done being built so we can instal our new lights at the end of this month! Come see Sean for your lighting needs. Customer service is unsurpassed. Eric found the product we needed and drove to the supplier to pick it up in time for our electrician the following day.

Average for what it is. The prices are high for some fixtures average for the rest. Its difficult to walk around with the lights low, but at the same time its nice seeing them at eye level.We were there for about 30 minutes. Not one sales person greeted us. We walked past the robust woman sitting at the computer by the coffee area several times. She never looked up. Another couple approached her and she seemed bothered by them talking to her. If yall have cameras you should check on your employees and maybe chang your customer service policy.They code their items so you cant look them up online. HINT: Type their item numbers backwards to find it online

I picked up my order and the guy gave me a box and said that was it. He was also very rude trying to get my out quick. I get home open the box and there are no lights... I call and they said that itll take another month. Most airhead dense insensitive customer service Ive ever had.

The enormous selection runs across all home styles. There is so much that if you are trying to furnish a new home that it is overwhelming. We are working with Brooke Macklin who is not only making the process do much easier, but is also making the lighting combination unique, interesting, snd right in our taste budget.Last year we returned a fixture that was out of warranty because our renters thought it just had a bad bulb, but after investigating I discovered it was bad wiring. Urban lights trusted us and replaced the fixture. I really like this company.

Great lighting selection. Terrible customer service walked around this place for nearly an hour without anyone even acknowledging my wife or me. We were in the market to buy some pendant lights and unfortunately there was no sales person to help us. I guess thats about $800 of lost revenue.

I love working with Urban lights personally and for my design business. The sales people are wonderful. Many of them attend lighting markets and can show you a piece that isnt even displayed on their floor for a fabulous price. Customer for life!!

I’ve visited Urban Lights twice (once to get ideas and once to purchase). During both visits, I was warmly greeted by employees and offered help and advice. Their friendly nature, incredible selection of every light imaginable, and knowledgeable staff made shopping elsewhere feel disappointing.

The selection here is mind boggling. Find a rep and have them help you. They will be happy to and they can help narrow your search to the style and prices you are looking for. I was going to buy some lights online, but I spent a little more here to get professional help from their knowledgeable staff. It saved me in the end as they were able to size everything correctly and make sure I got all the components my electrician needed. Hard to beat the selections and help you will get here.

I havent had such horrible customer service in my life. It was so appalling, this is going to be long. If you dont want to read this, the tl;dr is, Terrible rep loses company a lot of money in sales due to lack of knowledge and general off-putting attitude.Heres the long form:We are doing a major remodel of our home and our kitchen designer recommended we go here for our lighting design plans for the whole house. She told us we didnt need an appointment; just go there, take your plans, and talk to anyone. They are all great, we were told.Nope.It seemed like we were inconveniencing people with our presence. We asked for help and were told, by a somewhat annoyed rep, that we could wait and someone would help us when they could.About 15 minutes later, we meet Jennifer. I shouldnt say meet. She never introduced herself nor asked for our names or info. I only know her name from her name tag.Jennifer clearly did not want to help us. My wife told her what we wanted to do--discuss lighting concept and design ideas, so we can finalize the electrical plan. Jennifer told us that she doesnt move fixtures. We repeated our request...we are just looking at the plans and design.More than once, Jennifer told us this is the kind of thing you usually need an appointment for. She tolerated us long enough to let us actually show her the plans. She was clearly lost and just told us, we need to just give her a list of what we need. What we needed was help...we dont know what we need. Thats why we were there.Long story short, after about 5 minutes of having no idea what we were talking about and telling us things like we dont sell cans (all we said was we didnt want them if we didnt need them, so...thanks for that intel, I guess), Jennifer finally retreated to someone who maybe knew what they were doing.When she came back, Jennifer let us know we could meet with one of their design people and should just come back some time Monday afternoon. (I thought we needed an appointment?) At this alleged meeting, we would have some assistance from an actual knowledgeable person, who would use this opportunity to show Jennifer the ropes, and she would lead the project.Ummm, thats a no for me, dog.Were looking to spend a bunch of money on lighting. After we buy our fixtures from a competitor, I really want to walk back into Urban Lighting Julia Roberts style...big mistake.In the meantime, weve relayed this horrible experience to the designer who recommended we go to this place, and she both apologized and said she will not be sending people there any more. Thats my good deed for the day, sparing someone our awful experience.Let this serve as a warning to all others. If you want to risk it, its your life. You do you. Just make an appointment and avoid Jennifer.

I worked with Karin Bruce to find new fixtures for outdoor lighting. Karin was extremely helpful and patient with a process that took time searching for just the right pathway lighting. She was able to help me coordinate with my electrician and answer questions with regard to wattage and voltage needs. I will look forward to working with Karin in the future.

I have been a customer over 30 years, since it was called Foothills Lighting and was in Lakewood. The store has moved, sold and been renamed Urban Lights since then. It has always had a great selection in a wide price ranges. It is my “go to” for lights and fans. There is clearly new management as the service is much improved and they have changed their pricing to be more competitive with online stores.I have been working with Madison during 2 bathroom remodels over 6 months. She has been extremely patient and knowledgeable as she has worked to help me select fixtures. She has a great decorating eye, listens well to desires, concerns and preferences and uses all that information to sort through the myriad of choices to arrive at the perfect fixture. She was incredibly accommodating, allowing me to take a couple home to verify final selection. I can’t rave enough about her great customer service ethic in addition to her knowledge of the product lines and ability to visualize. I am delighted with my final selections for both rooms. Stopped in over the 4th of July weekend both Saturday and Sunday. Their selection of lights is nearly overwhelming, but more is better right?! We worked with Hannah and are so happy! During our remodel we were excited to replace the lighting and the amount of choices here are AMAZING! However - the value of working with a lighting designer like Hannah made all the difference. The choices are great but overwhelming especially with no design background I was often unsure of the direction I wanted to go while also keeping a general theme in the house. Hannah was really able to steer our decisions in the right direction. So now we have lots of great variety and we’re able to understand where you want things more simple vs a statement piece and that it was ok to have different themes in different areas. She offered to work off of photos of the home so she understood the existing decor. Highly recommend!

I am a 20+ year residential designer. Working with Amber was a delight. She is well informed, professional, quick and thorough. She has an amazing eye for design. My client was impressed as well. Amber is definitely one of the best salespeople I have worked with. Although I have accounts throughout the city and wholesale accounts elsewhere, I will choose Urban Lights for all my lighting because of the amazing Amber. The showroom is done well and easy to peruse. Kudos to Urban Lights for choosing a talented team member.

Great selection however if you want actual help from a sales associate, be prepared to wait a long time or just not get any help at all. We asked for help with recessed lighting from two different associates. Each time they called over the speaker for an associate who never came. Neither of those people followed up with us to see if we were ever helped. It’s unlikely they will be getting our business.

Urban Lights Exceeded my expectations! My wife and I have different tastes and we went looking to upgrade our lighting. I figured it would be a lone and challenging process. We were fortunate to be serviced by Hannah White, who understood what we were looking for and helped us find the right lights. She was very knowledgeable and founb things not in the store that addressed our needs. My wife and I picked out several fixtures in just 45 minutes. Awesome experience! It was totally worth our 4 hour drive to visit Urban Lights thanks to the best sales person ever, Shari B. I gave her some photographs of a lighting fixture I fell in love with while traveling in Ohio and she was able to find the exact fixture line for me. She gave us outstanding personal attention, without sales pressure.The showroom is HUGE, clean, and comfortable. If you cant find it at Urban Lights, it doesnt exist.The pricing was fair and we will go back for additional lighting needs for sure.
